Excellent management and service! I will definitely return.
This was the perfect place. My family I loved the restaurant, the room, the breakfast and the location. I will return and wouldn’t stay anywhere else while in Jerusalem.
Cozy hotel close to old town
I loved staying at this hotel! Very clean, quiet, staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, too. I tried sambousek and kifta, which were both delicious! I also tried Palestinian beer. You can walk to Herod's Gate, bus stop to/from Allenby Bridge, bus terminal to Bethlehem etc. Would stay here again.
Comfortable hotel near Old Jerusalem
I enjoyed staying at this hotel which was both comfortable and in a great location. I could walk to see many sites in or near Old Jerusalem. The staff was helpful in arranging taxis or an airport shuttle when needed.
We stayed at this hotel for a total of 5 nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The rooms and hotel are super clean and the staff is very friendly. They also have a restaurant with excellent food. The hotel is at a walking distance to many shops and the old city.
Thank you to Tareq, Essam, and the entire team of staff and managment. Highly recommended. Ahmad S.
Cute little hotel in the heart of East Jerusalem. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and shared a lot of tips and information about the area and how to get to different neighborhoods in East Jerusalem and other cities around Palestine.
Wonderful amenities, helpyand courteous staff and great location
Really wonderful, hospitable service; rooms were elegant and clean, beautiful facilities, excellent restaurant. Thank you!
Azzahra
Lack of elevator which is necessary for the old people
Nice hotel with thick walls and high ceiling. Tried also the restaurant which offer nice local food. Just make sure you ask for no smoking area. Very helpful at the reception for any information you need. Short walking from old Jerusalem gate. I'd recommend it
Breakfast ok toilet very uncomfortable, no elevator
It’s in a busy area with lots of shops and 10 min walk - near Aqsa Masid.
The staff was always helpful , clean , love that there is a restaurant there , very convenient
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and amazing food
An engaging small hotel in renovated Ottoman-period mansion away from the highly touristic West Jerusalem. Easy walking distance to the Old City (Damascus Gate) and good public transportation (light rail, bus, taxis). The rooms clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast buffet and wonderful restaurant with delicious Palestinian specialties as well as international cuisine.
The staff were very accommodating and made our stay very special.
Pleasant stay
The best part about this place is the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was quite small, there was no where other than the bed I could lay my suitcase open. This wasn’t a big deal. The room was very clean and there was hot water in the shower. The restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty good. I was the only one staying in the hotel and they made a special breakfast for me. The only downside to this place is it was a bit hard to find. One cab driver refused to take me to this location and the one I did find wouldn’t drive me all the way there. I managed to find the place stopping to ask for directions a few times. Once I figured me way to the old city it wasn’t a bad location.
Friendly, helpful, clean and comfy rooms, good food.
Quiet, updated hotel, convenient to walled city.
Hotel just completed remodel so rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. Great air con in the room. Located within minutes walking distance to the walled old city. Buffet breakfast with omelette station, fresh bread and lots of variety. Helpful front desk staff.
Just finished a remodel so room and bathroom are modern and clean. Location is walking distance to the walled city. Very quiet. BUffet breakfast
Excellent Hotel
Very warm and friendly staff, great service, clean and comfortable room. I really enjoyed my stay at the Azzahara Hotel. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and helpful friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room
On the Expedia page it says this hotel has free parking ,laundry ,wifi and tv and none of the above was present over our two night stay . The hotel has a restaurant that closed early the second night we were there also . If it weren’t for the extremely friendly staff I would have left and booked another room .
Nice
Nice hotel very close to the old city. Highly recommended.
Decent hotel. Quite dated and could use a good cleaning. The sheets/bedding were old and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Otherwise, if you are only passing through a night or two it’s fine. The only other downside is that it’s a 15- 20 minute walk away from the main area of Jerusalem.
Great and helpful staff. Excellent location. Good restaurant.
Satisfied
The Assahra Hotel is located perfectly near the Old City. The room was excellent being newly renovated. The TV was difficult to operate being done so on cable by two remotes- directions need to be included in the room. Staff quickly instructed me, however. Breakfast and dinner was very good; however, dinner chicken and beef were dry. Rm was very quiet. Staff was very helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel to others and stay there again myself. They lived up to their high ratings.
Fantastic staff and food. Excellent location with easy access to Old and New Jerusalem.
Loved the building itself, and the way it is decorated. It is tucked away on a side street which can make it a little difficult to find, but just ask the locals. Great location to the Old City. Plenty of shops surrounding the hotel, and the shops are open till about 9. Food in the hotel restaurant is great. Friendly staff.
I absolutely loved staying here, the staff were amazing and helpful, the food was delicious, the rooms were a good size, it was a fantastic location and I had a fantastic stay in general. I absolutely loved Jerusalem and Azzahra hotel made the trip extra special. Also the locals told me the hotel restaurant is one of the best in Jerusalem.
Comfortable beds good showers good food in the restaurant Rooms was cold but that’s only due to the time of year Wifi was excellent Location a good 20-30 minute walk to the old city
Excellent location and service. Superb hospitality.
I stayed at Azzahra Hotel for one night with two friends and we all loved the hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating to our needs. The location was excellent as it is a 10 minute walk from the Old City which was ideal.
Marvellous service and great restaurant
The service was the best ever and the restaurant was great. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Old City Herod's and Damascus Gates. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.
Close to old city Jerusalem
Staff very kind and helpful, good restaurant nice food, but very old building & not very clean
I can stay there again. Very good service
Very thoughtful people at reception. It’s difficult to find but I appreciate them providing chilled lemonade despite me being cranky while checking in. Very clean room, bathroom. They don’t have plugs if you need them which is something they should look into if they are hoping to please foreign clientele . Food was really good and staff was pleaseant.
The food is great. The staff is helpful. The condition of the rooms and particularly the bathrooms is below par. I believe that the owners emphasize the restaurant and neglect the hotel.
Overnight Accomodation
I stayed less than 24 hours at hotel. I needed to be at Tel Aviv airport three hours before flight departure ( i.e. at approx 11am). My only regret is that the hotel concierge ordered shared-taxi at 8:45 am (getting me to airport at approx 10 AM,, one hour before I had to be at the airport. So I did not have time to take a walk to the adjacent Edward Said National Music Conservatory..The airline told me to chill for another because of my early arrival. (Obviously I preferred this to arriving late.... I am elaborating since you asked
Traditional comfort close to Old City
Once again, a lovely warm welcome at this comfortable, quiet (considering the busy streets around) and charming hotel. Excellent traditional Palestinian food (with 10% discount for guests, in its busy restaurant. Oldy worldy and traditional. And very convenient for the Old City.
Friendly Hotel in Great Location
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Assahra. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the Old City Damascus Gate. It is an older building but nicely maintained and with a lot of character. Our room, #2, was quite spacious and had a big balcony overlooking the music school next door. They have a nice restaurant also that serves good food. The breakfast was large and excellent with home baked croissants. The staff was especially noteworthy as they were all extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Azzahra Hotel.
Highly recommend this hotel based on good quality of room comfort, hotel staff, breakfast and restaurant. Location is nearby to old city with an easy laundry drop off nearby. I especially liked how the hotel staff were offering travel assistance and excellent hotel service.
Perfect East Jerusalem Stay
All was excellent about the hotel.
One of the best hotel in its category
The Azzahra hotel is one of the best hotel in its category. Good location, excellent restaurant and very helpful staff. We will come back.
Great location!
Fantastic and convenient location with easy access to the Old City of Jerusalem and rooms are comfortable (I had a balcony). The Garden Tomb is also just down the street. Bus terminals are just a short walk away from hotel. Restaurant is busy and serves great food and pizza from their outside oven.
East Jerusalam
Stayed in this small botique hotel near the western wall in East Jerusulam. The pepple could not have been nicer, the restaurant pizzas were great and the rooms, although small, were all I needed. The breakfast was also worth it.
Charming
Charming place in East Jerusalem a short walk from Damascus Gate. Bathrooms a bit outdated but fine. Perfect customer service! I would definitely stay there again.
Close to Damascus Gate.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The attached restaurant is excellent.
Good value; friendly, accommodating staff
The hotel has a good restaurant and kind and welcoming staff.

Wonderful hotel in Muslim area
A beautiful place in a Muslim district. I just think of you aren't Muslim you should know this. But they are friendly to all.
