Outdated, Inadequate, Avoidable.
Outdated: Was a good hotel once but very outdated now. Extremely slow, creaky, small lifts, antique ACs that struggle to cool rooms. Inadequate: Completely unsuitable for business travelers especially non French speakers. Gym has only one working treadmill. No universal power points in the room. Only one English Channel in TV. ACs not working in the lifts and corridors. Calls to Reception are answered rarely and with long waits. WiFi is not good (when I complained they said that this is because everyone is online). Avoidable, especially with options just next door.

OK!
Perfect for a short stay
Great hotel for a short stay. Not too far from the airport. The complementary airport shuttle was much appreciated. Amazing and super helpful staff.
I really enjoyed my stay and the service provided. I have stayed at multiple hotels in Abidjan and would rate this highest.
Property is not what they showed online Expedia should not post this hotel on their website
Top choice when I stay in Abidjan for a short trip. Close to the aiport and shopping.
Business trip
the stay was great, we checked in late BUT all was under control by a very soft spoken and friendly receptionist Martin who also assited in getting an extra bed rolled into our room as they didn have any twin rooms available and we had requested for seperate beds....very thing was good even teh airport shuttle was great...thank you and we will come back again to your hotel...
Nice and helpful staff, clean rooms with ample amenities, great location across from Cap Sud mall
The property was safe and accessible
Perfect and I'll come back again for sure Thanks
Staff were friendly
Great hotel convenient location!
We stay here quite often so some of the staff know who we are and act glad to see us. For airport access and working/shopping near or around Zone 4 or Marcory, this is a great place to stay.
Good location and pleasant bedroom
Azalai Hotel Abijdan stay
Actually I booked an executive room and when I checked in and went to my room it was not cleaned, the trash cans were not done, there were still some pieces of chips on the bed and the bathroom was empty no towels, no shower gel nothing but since I arrive Abidjan at 4.30AM I only claimed in the morning but then they made it up and I had a very pleasant stay.
The staff wasn’t very friendly. The service at the restaurant was terrible.
Nothing
After reading some reviews I agree , The hotel operates like a money hungry outfit in a very unapologetic way. 5 dollars for a 50 cent water. Approx 50 dollars for a mediocre buffet, 30 percent up charge if you want to check out by 1pm. If you ask the reception if they speak English, they will sometimes pretend they don’t ( until they want to charge you for something). I think the upper management and others probably work hard to make this into a grear hotel. The desk manager has a complete opposite attitude
Great
Good choice in Abidjan
We have stayed at Azalai Abidjan several times and find it a good choice in Abidjan. Convenient to airport, shopping, dining and just about anything you could need without ever crossing a bridge.
Great and friendly staff
The stay was ok. However, the responsiveness of the room service could be improved.
Very nice
Good hardware, Terrible software
Frontdesk staffs were very rude and unprofessional Room was not clean at all even though I moved once In general, this hotel will lose customers due to poor management
Good hotel to relax and spend few days. Food to be improved.
Worst, awful, ... don’t go there
Awful, the worst. never again, ... I normally don’t write comments on hotels but this time, it was the worst experience ever! No communication, money hungry, they see you like a prey, they want to get as much as they can from you...
Great location if you work in zone4 Room very nice and calm Bar and restaurant without charm but many nearby
Everything was fine, except that due to COVID-19 room service is not yet available, but there are eating places at walking distances with set opening hours. The buffet breakfast was very minimum, however, management is planning on reopening officially in a couple weeks and that should bring the value of the hotel to the standard it deserves. Staff were respectfully professional - Excellent.
It is not Azalai I know. No service at all. Reason : we have not enough resources. COVID.
Very nice stay in Azalai
Azalai is a very good hotel and I always return with pleasure
One of the best Hotel in Abidjan. Not far from the airport, free shuttle, friendly service.
Horrible views Location was not great Staff couldn’t relate in English so found communication tough Sockets ALL European no adapters 24 hour shuttle was on a schedule that didn’t suit travel times Most things written in french only Had read great reviews but found it disappointing
Feeling home
Every time I’m travelling to Abidjan I’m choosing Azalai hotel. Unfortunately is not always available the booking on hotels.com
Very friendly accommodating staff, great room cleaning and attentive bar staff. Only downside ist Wifi and at times looong wait for elevators. Highly recommendable for location as well.
I had bad experience with the receptionist when ever I had a quest. And also the waiter at the restaurant, one of them was very rude to me.
big room and clean ; food is excellent. bed is perfect.
Hamman with no essential oil, shower outside the hamman no light any complicate to operate
It’s ok
Expensive for the quality !
It’s ok place for the price
Service was weak. Shuttle not available 24 hours.
Property is nice, staff are not educated how to work with clients
Would stay again
Go hotel, with a wide selection of good quality food. Rooms are clear and spacious. Well located, with underground parking if needed. Happy to go back again.
does not live up to its ambitions
There were positive things and negative things. Here's how it happened: I reserved 5 nights, the cost for this hotel is very high, so my expectations were also, at least, somewhat high. First the check-in procedures were too heavy, with 4 people in line, and 2 people, that were indeed very friendly, behind the counter it took 26-28 minutes to clear the check-in (the last thing you need after 3 flights). The dinner buffet was the only choice in the restaurant - the buffet was good, but then I had to pay in the reception (oh no, "the inefficient place" - it went well though). My room had a Nespresso machine, which I thought was great and ambitious. I had two cups in the morning before having a nice breakfast downstairs. I never got more Nespresso coffee in my room, they never refilled - which, I guess, was disappointing. They also had Nespresso at the breakfast buffet, one day it ran out, and they did not refill (I did ask). My room was impecably cleaned every day, but the tiny shampoo and shower gel bottles slowly finished during the week, and they never gave me new ones - I just managed; the last morning I finished the last drop shower gel I had left (the shampoo had finished the day before) - I would expect that they leave one extra set during the week. Check-out took less than 10 minutes (still too long). Overall this is a comfortable & clean hotel with friendly staff, but they could improve on the refilling and the procedures.
Amazing
Hotel staff really need some serious training in service and hospitality; to learn to treat everyone, all colors and races equally. Excellent room facilities though.
Wonderful stay and good standards
Clean hotel, friendly staff, spacious rooms, location excellent, close to airport and not far from downtown, facing shopping mall and supermarket
Hotel with Convenience & Luxary in Abidjan
The hotel is located in a decent location with supermarket and fast food centres in close proximity. Hotel is nice with swiming pool. Rooms are quite big with comfortable beds and having nice view of the city.
Poor food and beverage service. Out of basic items like sparkling water and juices. Breakfasts buffet not refurbished appropriately and looked like a left over dinner party
This Hotel Needs Improvement.
This hotel is the WORST I have ever stayed. The Staff are very rude. When you call the front desk, it takes up to 6 hours to respond. There are 3 lifts. They locked up two and crowded the only one. The staff behave as if they are doing you a favour,. Rooms were not taken care off. You have to beg for tissue papers. I regret going there.
Stay in the city
I enjoyed a quiet two night stay at the hotel before venturing off to Assinie for some beach time. My hotel room was lovely- very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful. The hotel provided lovely soaps, shampoos, etc. The WiFi was strong and I could use it in three devices which was nice. Great stay!
Best hotel in town
My second weeklong stay at Azalai? And the somewhat “under-staffed” front desk managed to find ways to impress. Quality presence, rarely intrusive and always attentive front desk. Despite high volume. It would be nice if the hotel has a phone switchboard and that customer queuing at reception is better organized. Sometimes other customers will come so close to the customer being served that privacy and confidentiality are eroded. Keep up the good work.
Great gym
Not a very pedestrian friendly area, but great place if driving everywhere. Lovely gym (despite there being no windows) with new equipment.
High quality out of downtown
Too-notch staff, high-quality facilities but rather pricey at more than $170 pre night. The weekend entertainment menu is good and safe.
Very good sense of customer service throughout.
Not the greatest location, but staff quality more than makes up for the gap. Clean, well-maintained and superb staff.
it was great.....successful tip enhanced by the hotel experience
Staying at Azalai Hotel Abidjan
Overal, my stay was satisfactory. The location is good, easy access to various places of the city.
New and spacious
The hotel is new with spacious and modern facilities. Convenient location. Checking in and out was rather slow.
Great hotel
The hotel and the staff are great. The wifi is good the pool is nice and relaxing and they also have a spa onsite. The only slight criticism is the food options - these are quite limited - if there was more choice we may have eaten in the hotel more often. Of the many hotels we've stayed in in Abidjan in the last 4 months this is one of my favorites.
Good location
My third visit in as many trips. Keeps on getting better!
Nice hotel, very new and modern...
Nice new hotel, rooms are new and clean and they have a free shuttle service from the airport, just send them an email and they'll pick you up.
Ivoirian Hospitality
A great stay at the Azalai - all of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and many of them spoke English which was helpful. The interior of the hotel was beautifully modern and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was expensive but delicious. I just cannot say enough good things about this place - I will be back!
A brand new hotel in an ideal location.
I stayed here a month ago and came back! On my last review there was no fitness centre as mentioned in the hotel amenities and also the buffet breakfast was sub-standard. Glad to say the gym is operational and breakfast has improved.
Ideal for the business traveler
Overall experience was very good as this was my third trip to Abidjan and the hotel rates much higher than the other two I stayed at. Considering this is a brand new hotel any teething problems were not apparent and the service was very good. I was a bit disappointed that the Fitness Center was not ready for use as it is still under construction and not expected to be ready for at least three months This was one of my main criteria when booking this hotel, hence my rating of this place had to be downgraded. On hindsight, I will not hesitate to come back to this hotel on future trips and hope that the management keeps up the good work
Alors pour 2 heures de plus dans la chambres avant mon vol obligé de payer 100 euros de plus
