Property is on older end. Feels like some colonial hotel

The hotel keep up the spirit and Western style mixed with Asian hospitality. We visited first time in 2008 and its still very good! Breakfast is good for both Westerners and Asians. Good restaurants and bar!

Avani Haiphong

I enjoyed me stay at Avani Haiphong. Room was comfortable and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

Its really bad. Hotel is old with no amenities and room service. Even the massage service is very bad. The masseur cant understand or speak English.

Cosy hotel that appeals to all

Warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel with personalized welcome note being placed in the room. Wifi is stable with remarkable speed. Rooms are spacious and Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast starts early with a wide variety of choices. This is a booking for 4 rooms with the request for queen beds however only 2 rooms were provided with queen beds with the other 2 being twin beds. Option was offered to combine the twin beds but practically not viable or logical. That would be the only lacking in the stay for this hotel.

Lovely hotel with rustic settings

The rooms are much better in comparison to the posted photos. Rooms are big and spacious. Staffs has been friendly with good command of English.

The hotel name is very misleading. It includes harbour view but there is absolutely no harbour view at all. Apparently they changed the location of the hotel. I paid a pretty high price expecting a harbour view but was disappointed. The hotel did have an excellent breakfast buffet though.

2 weeks in Hai Phong

My stay was excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful. They were also happy, which was very nice. The room was impecably clean. I stayed in the Executive Room. Nice wood floors and the bed was much better than mine at home. Breakfast was very good. The pool is small but has the the coolest vibe. The location is very nice. Easy walking to the park, the river walk and to excellent street food and shops. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and comfortable hotel

We enjoyed very much staying at AVANI! It is an old hotel, but the bed was super comfortable, room was clean, and breakfast was awesome!! There’s no harbor view, but I think it’s the best hotel in Hai Phong! Staff were incredible!!!! I don’t think I’d visit Hai Phong again, but if I did, I would stay here again without a doubt!

A pleasant place to stay

The Avani Hotel is well located for exploring the town and has plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a slight problem when checking in, the room they originally gave us was not the room we had booked through hotels.com. Once I showed them my booking confirmation they changed our room to the correct one. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a nice view. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay here.

wheelchair accessible!!!

Wheelchair accessible. The ramp at front door is a little steep but one can ask the helpful bellboy to help push him/her up. The restroom has big door to get into. The hotel installed a protective bar on accessible side of the toilet bowl. Ask them to remove it the you are completely accessible to the toilet seat. The shower is ok if you bring a seat. If you are not, just use your wheelchair or ask them to bring you a chair

Hotel of class

Our stay was extremely comfortable. The staff was very hospitable. Mr Mathew the GM and his team were very courteous. I had forgotten my mobile charger in the room. I called from the airport and they arranged to deliver my charger to the airport. Such courtesies we rarely find. This is a sign of a good hotel. They took special effort to arrange a vegetarian breakfast.

Friendly staff and cleanliness room

The room is not so comfortable because the furniture quite old, specially the bed. The room is very clean and the staff willing to help and give advice to the place to visit surrounding.

Comfortable modern hotel on a traditional model

We arrived from Cat Ba island, wondering if we had made a mistake in stopping for two nights in Haiphong before co tinting to Hanoi. As soon as we entered the hotel, we knew we would enjoy it here. The staff were so welcoming, and really seemed to care about our experience of the hotel and of the city. They recommended an excellent harbourside fish restaurant (try it if you're feeling adventurous), gave us good tips for an independent walking tour of the city, and even arranged for us to have a privileged view from the roof! This is not a tourist town, and the hotel appears mainly aimed at business people, but we were made very comfortable here and could not fault the services and facilities. A few minor gripes: I could hear the TV from the next door room early one morning, the ambient music was a bit annoying (hip-hop at breakfast time?) and the restaurant certainly isn't cheap. But all in all, I would thoroughly recommend this as a welcoming, comfortable, modern and efficient hotel.

The best you'll get in Hai Phong

Comfortable enough hotel that seems way too big for its purpose. The staff are all the more eager to please as they don't seem to have many guests to attend to. While there's an empty, echoey feel to the lobby and restaurant, the rooms are cozy but spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. It just might take a while to get to your room down the long maze of hallways. The complimentary breakfast had nice variety, but the prices for other (quite average) meals are much steeper than elsewhere in the city. Watch out for the offer of water during meals - it'll add $5 to your bill. The English-speaking, friendly staff and comfortable rooms alone are reason enough to stay here for business or sight-seeing.

The Best Hotel in Hai Phong

The Avani is a good quality 4 star hotel close to the Harbour and city center in Hai Phong. The design is a little old, but the hotel is in good condition and the level of service is good. The two restaurants serve a good selection of western and local dishes with the Vietnamese dishes being to a high standard. The small spa also provides an excellent massage at the end of a long day.

Had another good 2 night visit at Harbour View hotel. Hotel is in good location and has very good service. Good English speaking.

Love it

I travel to Haiphong 3 times a year for work, this is the best hotel in town. It was quiet and clean. You have everything you need within the hotel.

Good staff. Hotel needs renovation

The staff is great. The rooms need renovation. The breakfast could be better. There is great bread around Haiphong but the bread served is very boring. Price is on the very high side compare to the condition of the rooms. But still the staff make it worth staying there.

We were rather disappointed. Even tought the harbour is not far away, there is no view to the harbour from the hotel. The staff is very polite and helpful. The problem of this hotel is most likely the owner who would like to earn a lot of money but who does not seem to be willing to invest in order to keep the equipment on a level which might justify the prices charged for the rooms. Pretty poor beds of local production. Toilet doesn't stop flushing, fitness room rather miserable, ... In conclusion: the quality-price ratio is not adequat.

Have been staying at the the Harbour View Hotel in Hai Phong on my business visits since the last 12 years. Have always got good service from the staff with good clean rooms and excellent dining.

Good overnight stay near pier for boat to Cat Ba

Hotel and staff were good. Air conditioning was bring revamped and not operating, which was a problem for us. When fixed, I would recommend it. Stayed on 2 April 2014.

Nice place to stay in Hai Phong

We selected this hotel as a stopover on our way to HaLong Bay. The hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly.

The hotel is good over all, very peacefully. staff are very courteous. The only problem is the air condition do not work that good as you can sweat under the warm blankets given to you. location is ideal as it is in the centre of town near the opera house which is the centre I was told and believe it is.

Harbour View in Haiphong - restful

The hotel was ideal for a one-night stop on a busy trip: quiet, clean, an efficient staff, and a very small but interesting lobby gift shop. We especially enjoyed the one-hour walk around the neighborhood that was recommended by the hotel: old colonial buildings, all kinds of sidewalk activites, and the parkway. We saw a number of big hotels on our way out of town, but I wouldn't have wanted anything other than the Harbour View.

I guess my only question is where the view of the harbour is? Otherwise, the hotel offered great amenities, fast and dependable service and overall was a pleasant hotel to stay in.

Harbour View Hotel

The hotel is very nice and the staff is amazing. Unfortunately, the hotel was 3 hours from the airport we flew into as well as hours away from any tourist type attractions or even historical sites. Recommend that this hotel never be associated with the Hanoi Airport as there is another airport in Haiphong only 20 minutes from the Harbour View. Would defiantly stay here again and recommend to anyone and everyone staying in Haiphong.

Not modern

Air conditioning not working!!! And the room was not possible to cool down and it was weary much moisture, all clothes was wet also bed. Not good and not comfortable.

2泊お世話になりました。着いたとたん、○○さんですね、と到着を待ってくれてました。ハイフォンは都会なので、リゾート感のあるホテルはあまりないかと思います。ここもビジネス客がたくさん来るところですが、私達観光客にも非常に優しく丁寧に受け入れてくれた気がします。屋外プールも小柄ながらありました。日本人ビジネスマンが多数来るところみたいです。 レセプションではハロン湾クルーズの相談や、ハノイへの移動の相談にも時間を惜しむことなく対応して頂き助かりました。英語のリスニングの苦手な私達にも丁寧に説明をしてもらったと思います。 紹介されたハロン湾ツアーも非常にいいガイドさん付きだったし、ハノイまでのタクシーも固定金額での予約だったのでドライバーとの交渉もなく楽でした。ハイフォンでは有名なタクシー会社でリムジンではないけど、充分いいトヨタ車でした。 なかなかハイフォンに行く機会はないけど、また泊まりたいホテルです。ありがとうございました。

베트남이 두 번째인데, 고풍스런 느낌의 오래된 고성같은 리조트의 느낌이네요. 호텔 전반의 서비스 및 프런트도 친절했고 좋았습니다. 대신 좀 오래 되어서 화장실등의 시설 개선은 필요할 듯합니다. 100점 만점에 95점이요

Very good hotel in Hai Phong

Very comfortable hotel with extremely good service. Large rooms, good housekeeping, good breakfast and okay internet. The hotel has an outside bar and pizzaria. The local area feeds safe and secure with not much traffic noise. The area has nothing touristic to offer, but for a business trip the hotel is indeed really good.

Would not stay there again

No warm welcome from the reception staff No presentation of the hotel, breakfast time, amenities, fitness etc. Two single bed given at first instead of one doublebed room originally booked (for a couple)

호텔이 깨끗하고 주변이 조용해서 좋았습니다. 다만 주변에 편의점 없고, 쇼핑몰이 거리가 좀 있어서 불편한 점을 빼고는 전반적으로 매우 훌륭합니다.

The restaurants in this hotel is not pretty much good. There are one bar and two restaurant but the foods from same kitchen. The location of the hotel has no remarable places.

직원들은 매우 친절하고 좋았으나, 룸 컨디션이 다른 같은 가격대의 호텔들에 비해 좀 떨어지네요. 주변에 상점이 없는 점도 불편했구요. 직원들의 친절도는 그 어떤 호텔과 비교해도 뒤지지 않네요

Perfect hotel to stay in Hai Phong

It was wonderful stay in this hotel. Not only hotel quality but also staffs kindness. I got into an accident near the hotel but the hotel staff were very kind to me and helped me to go to hospital etc. After everything was finished, the staff came to my room with flower. I was very impressed. Thank you very much, AVANI HAI PHONG HARBOURVIEW. The hotel room was also clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice. I recommend this hotel as perfect hotel to stay in Hai Phong!
