Excellent - just 1 minor detail
Excellent breakfast choices, functional and clean room, brilliant staff, only let down for me was the sheets were too rough. I prefer Egyptian cotton not used to woollen/fleece types. I was going to complain but never got round to it. It was uncomfortable. My companion didn’t notice anything. Location great for the local Parkrun
Nice hotel, comfy room and clean. However no warning on the mosquitos! We were eaten alive - would have like some warning. Had to sleep with windows closed and still got bitten.
Great breakfast!!!
Simple, quiet, easy
This is a great small, quiet hotel. Simple quiet, clean rooms, amazing breakfast, great staff, a real gem.
I have terrible experience with expedia...i booked 2 times book my hotel in Duesseldorf and its cancelled due to i am arriving late.its your resposbility to arrange keys or another hotel for me. Being A lady where i go to other hotel with my luggage at mid night. Generally i booked my hotel with bookin.com.and never experienced like this. Sorry to say i dont trust any more. Jyoti juneja
I recommend Auszeit Hotel Düsseldorf.
Good hotel, friendly staff, fair pricing, awesome breakfast (not included in daily fares).
Kind and courteous staff, very helpful and attentive.
Clean and Quiet
We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Auszeit Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable; the location quiet but accessible to the main areas of Dusseldorf we wanted to see. The woman on reception who checked us in was especially helpful and friendly; danke!
Quality
Food 10 out 10 service really good not really anything to complain about good quality hotel . For me a little warm but can't imagine many people complaining about . Overall i would gibe it 9 out of 10 .
Amazing selection and variety of breakfast items. All staff excellent and professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. Only negative, room a little warm. Available fan needed through the night.
Awesome place
Amazing place, awesome breakfast, very central location. Staff is very professional, helpful and well managed. I would recommend it to anyone and will certainly go there again.
The service was amazing — especially when the hotel lent me an EU power converter!
Great clean hotel with the great staff and huge assortment of breakfast items . Strongly recommend .
Great little place in Dusseldorf, a little bit outside the city so was a little annoying to get to requiring a train and a decent walk (or a tram). Good sized room, good shower and a very lovely reception team, who let us keep our staff there when we checked, let us use the change room downstairs when we came back to collect our bags and also had free icecream for guests.
Great for business or personal!
Friendly staff, great pricing, the included breakfast is good. Free street parking available very close to the hotel. Hotel is close to transit and major roadways. Room was clean and smelled neutral. Everything worked properly and was very pleasant. This is how a hotel should be run.
Breakfast n service
You cant find somewhere else with a better breakfast. The attitude and the vibe of the staff was wonderful.
The hotel is in good location just opposite the tram stop and is 7minutes walk from Ustation(train)Overall is a perfect location if you wanna go to city center and the rest of the city.
Great Hotel
Business and pleasure ! Lovely hotel with nice friendly staff ! I will definitely be visiting again !
Everything is good. Stuffs are friendly, room is clean, he scent in hotel is pleasant and makes people relaxing, besides, the location is close to main train station.
Cleanliness, friendly efficient staff & tasty breakfast
Very good hotel and staff
Breakfast hotel
Hotel very clean and well maintained. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast choice is amazing and excellent value for a short break. There isn't much to see or do close to the hotel but the hotel is well located for the tram and for the s-bahn so you can be in the altstadt in around 20 minutes. Overall excellent value hotel for a short break.
Great value option
Amazing value. Spotless clean. Awesome breakfast. Soundproof rooms.
A great hotel about 30 minutes walk away from the old town but plenty of transport to take you there as well. Great welcome when I turned up to check in. With that and the really nice rooms it’s definitely a great place to stay!
Of all the hotels Ihave stayed at in dusseldorf the Auszeit is the one that goes that little bit extra. The rooms have really a bright modern decor giving the rooms a cheery feel & the underfloor heating in the bathroom turns. February into July(ish), staff very helpful & cheerful. The breakfasts are to die for, order when you book for best value you wont be dissapointed. A bit off the beaten tack in Dusseldorf but with good connections to the centre & if you like quite time a room at the back is reccommended & they have a kettle in the room for us little englanders! Have stayed at the Auszeit twice now & hope to go back in the future a big thanx to everone for a pleasent stay!
Well located. 4-5min walk to Metro and 8 min by Metro to the Old Town. Comfortable accommodation run very well. Nice touch of free sweets/biscuits/apples at reception.
Thank you very match.i will rekommendeytto to my frends
A hidden gem
Lovely modern hotel with great facilities and an excellent and varied breakfast served in the morning. I arrived late evening; check-in was okay, communication in English with receptionist was limited. Bed was comfy but I found the pillows too soft and a few curtain clips were missing but these are just minor issues. Beware, the sauna takes a good while to heat up - so plan ahead. Great stay though! Thank you
This hotel is in a good location for getting the tram to Altstadt and arriving from the airport by train. I recommend factoring in the cost of 24-hour or 48-hour passes for the transport system to cover the duration of a stay here. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day and we had no problems with its cleanliness. The breakfast offering was wonderfully varied and the staff made sure we got the type of coffee we wanted without having to ask. There are bars and restaurants nearby but they are sparse and you will need to head to Altstadt or another area for a better selection. Overall, we had no problems but felt confident that if we had any then they would have been handled well by the staff.
Peace ABD quiet, clean, close to city center. Public Transport max 400m
Breakfast!!!!
Great hotel, very helpfull staff.Ok position, a few stops on the tram from the old town.Brilliant breakfast, too much to choose from, but we tried to sample most of it.Over all fab u las.
2nd.visit this year. Xcellent value price/quality ratio, and just one 90second train stop from Dusseldorf central station. The breakfast has amazing choice in a very nice setting..No complaints whatsoever. Can fully understand why it gets so many 5* ratings.
everything about this hotel was great, the cleanness the size of the room the food ...
Excellent accommodation
The room is very clean and is good size of bathroom. We had breakfast included in our booking and the breakfast buffet has huge selection. I highly recommended the breakfast and this hotel.
All hotels should be like this one
I really liked this hotel, the attention to small details that make all the difference The floors are heated, there are tea and coffee facilities, real coffe mugs, good shower, good service, good bed,i didnt get breakfast but seeibg the rest im sure its fantastic The hotel is a bit off the center but very good public transport connections to Düsseldorf Hbf,the Messe or the airport Good job!
Modern, stylish and value for money
Smooth check-in, nice staff. Room was comfy, modern and stylish. By foot the closest restaurants, bars are a bit far. S-Bahn station is about 10 minutes walk. I would return to this hotel.
Nice
Nice hotel, expensive breakfast and greedy staff
Nice hotel, perfect location but no air conditioning which can get quite uncomfortable in summer
The room was comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Good location. Free gym that unfortunately I didn't have time to use. Only downer was the price of breakfast, so my friend and I had it elsewhere.
Terrible room where you cook and the noise from the road is alarming. Miserable staff who don't live up to their ask us for assistance any time propaganda. The room we were in would be awful during any warm weather such as any part of a normal summer do not listen to excuses about it being warmer than normal. Dont go here.
Auszeit
Overall great hotel with best breakfast buffet ever at any hotel. Highly recommendef
Auszeit Indeed a Good 'Timeout' Spot
Clean and comfortable room, quiet (at lest the back room was), fast Wi-Fi, incredible breakfast buffet, easy access to mass transit, very reasonably priced
1st business trip to Germany
My first trip to Germany was made a lot easier by the excitement staff at this hotel
Great hotel
We enjoyed our stay there a lot. Highly recommended. Will stay there again for future visits to Düsseldorf.
recomemded
recomended
Christmas Markets
his hotel is a little way out of town, but only 1 stop from the central station by train, or a few on the tram. Not a lot of choices for meals in the immediate area, but the hotel itself does food at quite reasonable prices. I found the room a little noisy at times (one of the downfalls of not having carpet on the floor), but the room was clean. The staff are excellent. Very helpful and friendly (In particular Sarah on reception. Sorry I didn't make a note of her surname, but if management are reading this she was on duty in the morning 09/12 & 08/12. Great service. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.) All in all, a pretty good hotel. I would stay here again.
Very good hotel
We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff made sure we purchased the correct tram ticket gave us a map and directions when we needed them. Very comfortable room but we didn't use the overpriced and well stocked minibar.
The Breakfast Hotel!
Great hotel, easy location, friendly staff and an amazing breakfast.
Amazing hotel
It was nice and comfortable
Nice hotel, small, comfortable, amazing breakfast!
Enjoyed our stay at Auszeit hotel for a long weekend away in Dusseldorf. Friendly staff were helpful at all times, although spoke quite suddenly and rapidly in German before our blank faces gave it away! Brilliant breakfast buffet with a huge variety of food: cereals, cooked foods, cold meats and cheeses, waffle maker, breads and pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurts, sweet treats, and a huge spread of jams, well worth the money! Has a little sauna which we enjoyed using. Clean room with fresh sheets each day, fairly small and simple but that's all we needed. Overall very pleased with our trip!
Very clean room & impressively breakfast
The room is good size and very clean. The bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent & very impressive. The location is a bit far from main train station. Great service & staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent all round hotel.
Stayed at The Auszeit late Sept this year on a short 3 night break.I arrived a few hours before my check in time just to drop my case off only to be told I could have my room there & then. The hotel staff were always very happy to help and always with a smile. Found the hotel very clean, beds made daily & towels changed daily, no problem with grey towels here.Room was a nice size for a solo traveller might be little compact for 2 , very modern & lots of nice little touches.Try for aroom at the back as there is a nice wooded area, quiet with nice autumnal views (sept/oct). PS dont miss the Breakfast!
Great hotel not far from downtown Düsseldorf
Great little hotel in a area not far from downtown. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was about the best we had on our 2 weeks in Europe. Would definitely stay there again...
Home away from home
I stayed at the Auszeit for 5 nights, attending a conference at the University. The hotel is modern and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They knew my name by the third day. Although the room and bathroom were not huge, they were well designed and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable although not luxurious. The huge selection at breakfast was truly impressive, although a little wasted on me as I don't eat much that time of day. I did notice that at busy times some of the items ran out and were a little slow to be replaced. The hotel is directly beside one transit stop, that runs to Volksgarten S - although the trams there are not as frequent as some. However, it's only a 5-minute walk to the Auf'm Hennekamp stop, where you can get a tram/train to the Old Town (or to the University in the other direction), with a maximum 5-minute wait. Overall, I was delighted with my choice of Asuzeit and would definitely choose it again if I return to Dusseldorff.
Comfortable hotel but the internet is useless
Comfortable bed and good location across the street from a Straßenbahnstation, but the internet logs you off every two minutes and you have to relog-in over and over again. Makes it hard to work in your room. I alerted the reception of this, and the night clerk said he was aware of the problem but couldn't do anything about it, and the morning girl said the internet is excellent.
So wish we had found this hotel earlier this year!
Great stay, fantastic staff and wow what a breakfast! Don't miss out on this hotel. Certainly very good standard for Düsseldorf.
Not staying here again: Noise, poor room service
Noisy rooms prevented me from sleeping. House keeping did not change sheets and pillow cases every day. The sheets and towels are not white so it is impossible to see if they are clean. They are obviously not clean, as their color (purple and grey) means that they are never bleached. I'm not sure why this hotel has four stars. It's a real mystery to me. On the bright side staff members genuinely try to help. I think the problem is purely a management problem. I regretted selecting this hotel.
Really nice quiet fantastic hotel with friendly staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Better suited for travelers with car
Accessable via S-Bahn and U-Bahn to entrance. 6-7 U-Bahn stops from city center. Poor street signage, difficult to find at first. Neighborhood so-so. Limited resources within walking distance. Room on backside hotel was super hot upon first entry. Wi-fi not so good and insecure. Noisy until 12pm nightly from back patio and neighborhood. No A/C and Euro-style comforter sheet. Otherwise a decent stay in very small room outside city center. Back patio and greenery nice. Fitness center so-so English spoken. Breakfast one of best ever had.
Great hotel
Very nice room, bed and bath room. Free internet
german class
Wonderful hotel staff- excellent reception , very clean and tidy , good location.
Excellent mid-price-range hotel
This is a really excellent hotel, with friendly, helpful staff and comfortable, clean rooms. It's a little way out of the city centre so it's not very close to the main tourist attractions, but it's a five-minute walk (or quick tram ride) from both an S-Bahn line which takes you to and from the main station (one stop) and airport (about 20 minutes), and a U-Bahn/tram line which takes you straight into the city centre and the old town (about 10/15 minutes). It's easy to find, on a fairly busy road, which can make the room a bit noisy with the window open, but the double-glazing is excellent and blocks out the road noise. There's a really beautiful park five minutes' walk away, and a few restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance, with more easily accessible by tram or U-Bahn. The evening snack menu is good, and can be delivered to the room - and there's a good selection of drinks at the bar, and a well-stocked mini-bar in the room, with drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and a good selection of snacks (and we loved the free sweets and apples at reception!). The wi-fi was free of charge throughout the hotel and gave a reliable connection and good speed. Overall it's excellent value for money - we usually choose budget hotels and this was a step up in quality for us without paying much more per night - and we really enjoyed our stay.
Value For Money!
Accessing the hotel is very difficult because of road works! Rooms are a little small. Breakfasts are superb. Good value!
Modern and spacious....
clean, modern, lovely spacious rooms, cleaned daily, Espresso machine with unlimited top ups, easy check in, and we loved the freebies; apples, sweets and cakes daily! The hotel is out of the main city zone but the trams and underground are fast reliable and really you are only a few stops away from Altstadt and all the major attractions. A Dusseldorf 3 day pass was only 19e and can be used on any transport within a wide area, great value and can be purchased at the hotel. The only downside is that the breakfast was too expensive for our budget 18e is a lot of money, perhaps a small continental breakfast deal would encourage more to take breakfast. Overall an excellent hotel I would highly recommend.
convenient and friendly
it has all you need for a reasonable price. free parking nearby.
A Gem In Düsseldorf
What a quaint place to stay! Hotel was amazing...the food amazing... the service amazing... location amazing! Germany was my central location as I traveled to Paris and Amaterdamn. Every time I returned to the Auszeit everyone was happy to hear about my travels! I recommend the gen 100% And I hope to return!
Good hotel, very clean. A bit far from the center, but good transport connection. Very good breakfast and very helpful staff.
Another great stay at the Auszeit
I have always enjoyed my stay at the Auszeit and this is the 4th year in a row. Again visiiting over a weekend to catch up with friends. Friendly staff in a lovely, well equiped hotel. Fantastic buffet breakfast and time to relax over that. Nice meals or evening drinks there. Rooms are clean, well laid out and equiped the neighbourhood/rooms are quiet considering the road outside is quite busy. Also have regional rail station close by five mins from there into centre. Will look forward to visiting again next year (if not before!)
Comfortable hotel in the Bilk area of Düsseldorf
This is a hotel well managed by Germans, it has friendly staff, excellent breakfast, quiet rooms, a beautiful backyard, a small fitness room and sauna.
Clean and friendly
Quick check in, very clean staff helpful
A 3 Star Hotel with a feeling of a 4.5 star one!
I cannot recommend Auszeit enough - it was a really good stay, breakfast was really tasty (so much to choose from and a lot of really healthy stuff!) and the service even more! They also let you bring food from outside which most hotels don't let.
Best Value in Germany
I took advantage of the 23 Euro special and it was fantastic. Small but comfortable room. Wifi was very good and free. Convenient to the autobahn, with free parking nearby. Friendly English speaking staff. They're supposed to have an excellent breakfast, but I didn't get it. I was expecting a dump for that rate, but it was a clean, modern room with all the amenities. Good mini bar selection as well.
Nice hotel in middle of city
Very friendly staff, clean and modern rooms, with the option of breakfast, however they had poorly soundproofed rooms. I was able to hear my neighbor snoring. But it was foe a short stay anyway and would book with them again.
dusseldorf marathon trip
wonderful staff and hotel
Einfach Very Comfortable
The staff make you feel comfortable available for any questions you may have during your staff. This was my second visit and Auszeit will be my stop while in Dusseldorf in the future.
A very good hotel in Düsseldorf
I stayed for one night, but didn't had breakfast. Room is very clean and large, windows to the main street may disturbe you because of the tram passing by. But in general a hotel that can be recommended.
Nice hotel.
Nice hotel. Well maintained. Slightly odd ducks! Would go back again if I had to be in that particular part of Düsseldorf. There isn't much around it in the area, but it doesn't take too long to get to the centre.
This hotel is nearly perfect in every aspect! Definitely recommend it.
I'll leave it for you to decide...
The hotel staff on the whole were friendly and very helpful. When we asked questions about the local area they would always help us out by providing maps with detailed instructions. However, we did have issues on the second day of our stay. I arrived at the hotel with two friends (who were on a separate booking) late in the evening. The receptionist handed us 3 keys as opposed to 2 which we was a bit confused about and she then confirmed we booked 'a queen room' which we agreed and so went with it. The next day we went into a different city and then received a call demanding a 100 euro payment and for us to immediately return and collect our belongings which they had packed up. We explained that we had booked through Expedia but they didn't have any of this information. We then had to find wifi in order to get Expedias number and then phone back the hotel. When the hotel still wanted us to return, my friend explained we only had a 2 day trip and this would waste our time and as the issue wasn't our problem we would return in the evening to which the receptionist responded "We have all your belongings- this is your problem". The hotel eventually realised their errors and said we would not need to provide payment although my two friends also got downgraded from the booking for the rest of the stay. When we eventually returned to the hotel, our rooms were left UNLOCKED with the doors and windows open. I was a completely different booking but items still disturbed.
Great hotel and brilliant staff
Great staff, always helpful and always smiling
A nice cheap hotel which is relatively close to the city centre (half hour walk or 15 minutes on the tram). Booking in was quick and efficient. The room was very smart and clean and the mini bar looked to be well stocked (although I didn't use it). The only downside is that there was no safe in the room.
Clean and friendly staff
Great hotel with clean rooms at an affordable price.
Recommended!
Nice hotel with reasonable price. Hotel was clean with all the facilities.
Close to city centre facilities .
Really good value for money..staff very helpful...accommodation large clean rooms ...deco clean & modern...food menu had something for all tastes....location.....tram stop outside the hotel within 5mins you are in the main city.... Overall a excellent experience
An amazing find!
Everything was great! The room was immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helped answer my questions. They also spoke English very well, which was helpful because I am not so confident about my German. The breakfast was amazing too. A great place to stay!
For a short stay, it is ideal place to stay. Staff is very cooperative , breakfast buffet is good with a big selection.
Close to nature but not city life
That hotel is a bit remote if you wanna go out in the evenings. The park right behind the hotel and the breakfast at the garden (if the weather is right) are great
Very nice hotel with good service. Extra bonus; free gym & sauna. And free candy and ice-cream as well ;)
Auszuit Hotel
Chose the hotel mainly due to good price. It was about 35 minute walk into town but we like that. Everything about the hotel was excellent and we will stay there again if we come back.
Great hotel for visiting Dusseldorf and beyond
I took my Goddaughter for a 3 night stay to visit Dusseldorf and found this was the perfect hotel for our needs. Close to the town with easy access to tram / bus & overground trains. The hotel was great, staff lovely, very helpful & THE most amazing Breakfast. Highly recommend :-)
Convenient, but don't need to sleep in!
Nice hotel, we only stayed one night. They have a bunch of different rubber ducks on display which was funny. They have a large selection of snacks in the room (for a charge, of course) and it was very clean and comfortable. Night staff was great, helped us order food, got us late check out since we got in late. Unfortunately, their communication of that was terrible and from 9 AM onward we were bothered. I wouldn't stay here again because of that, but if you're an early riser it was a very clean and nice hotel and fairly easily located off the main highway with lots of free street parking.
Nice Hotel with excellenct customer service
Excelent customer service and extermely nice breakfast
We will be back!
Absolutely wonderful 3 day stay, the welcome at reception was exceptional in providing excellent customer service and answering all our questions and giving directions for the area, the local train has a stop right out the front door, lovely room and with nice size bath & great shower, good wi-fi, very quiet location, this will be our "home" again on our next visit to Dusseldorf!
Nice Hotel, great price
Our whole family stayed here for a couple of days. It is close to the city (public transportation or Uber). The room is a bit small but clean, comfortable, and in great condition. The hotel staff is great. It was a bit the first night so I asked for a thicker blanket. The hotel has two kinds of blankets (thick and thin). They always have treats on the counter which is a nice add on. Banana, Gummy Bears, Cupcakes... Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is good for a short stay.
I stayed here for a week and it was very comfortable. Positive: Cozy room Comfortable bed Good price Clean Had kettle Near the nice park Had gummy candies in frontdesk(This is very German I think) Negative: Location wasn't really convenient No Laundry No supermarket near by Someone's sounds of shoes are noisy at midnight
Awesome hotel!
Very friendly staff. I arrived at the morning, 3 hours before check-in, so my room hadn't been ready. But, I left my luggage on the reception; I'd been also offered a breakfast, a map and a ticket, and wi-fi password. Wi-fi was speed enought to watch video. When I get back to the hotel, my luggage was already in my room - that was very nice! Room was very clean, bathroom was very big, staff replenished tea, coffee, cream, sugar resourses regulary. I would strongly recommend this hotel to my friends and definitely will stay myself in Auszeit hotel, if I go to Düsseldorf again.
A good walk from Hauptbahnhof
Quiet and friendly, big rooms, free upgrade, worn duvet covers
AUSZEIT HOTEL REVIEW
A MOST ENJOYABLE INTERLUDE.
great option, really good price....
Just wonderful.....
Excellent hotel!
Attending for Unity Day, great hotel close to Volksgarten and the parkrun. Vegan options for breakfast were fantastic.
