We booked the quad room for the two of us and it was wonderful. The space was fabulous and it was really quiet. The window looked onto the fire stairs, rather than the street which suited us fine - the sleep quality was worth it. We could walk to this hotel from Roma Termini with our large suitcases, so it represented very good value. We had dinner at their ‘sister hotel’ one street away with 20% off the bill. (Ask the desk staff about this if interested.) I can recommend the food there. All the staff we met were lovely.
First time to Rome so not sure how Facility rates with other hotels near by. Staff was super friendly and loaction is perfect. Room had a few issues ....toilet water ran constantly. Power bed on right side was broken. Starting to get a bit outdated. But overall would stay there again.
Comfortable bed
Very friendly and attentive staff. Hotel in great shape. Very quiet and one of most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. Will definitely be back
Room is very clean. Close to Roma termini amdmetro.
The area was very nice
We had a great time as a family of 8. Rooms were spacious and breakfast had many options. Family friendly Very close to the termini where most of the hop on and hop offs were available. A little dated , but had everything we needed
Great location, clean rooms and helpful staff.
Non
It was a great stay, and good customer sevice
We were so happy with our stay at this hotel. It’s our second time and we would stay again. Convenient to Termini station and transport options. The beds and breakfast are excellent and the staff are so nice and helpful. Love it.
This place is amazing - best breakfast options. Within walking distance from Roma Termini. The staff was super nice and professional. They accommodated an early check in after a long and exhausting travel day. Nothing but positive things to report - would absolutely stay there again!
great location
great location
Our flight was three plus hours late. The welcome at 1am in the morning was inspiring. Attitude of anything is possible. Breakfast and choices was excellent. Restaurant staff extremely helpful.
It is not easy to use the temperature controller. It turns off automatically. It is close to Roma Termini, where you can take trains and the metro.
Good location, friendly staff, room quite small, if you need internet access from your room this definitely not the place to stay.
Staff was excellent in particular Maria. Room air conditioning did not go below 16 celsius and opening the window so the room was cooler did suffice because the noise outside the hotel was loud throughout the night. I still recommend this hotel because during the summer months the air-conditioning settings can be set to lower then 16 celsius.
When in Rome, we stay here
This was our fourth time to stay here and we are always impressed with the service and the staff. The location is very convenient to the train station as well as other sites. The breakfast is always great and there are a lot of restaurants within a block of the hotel. Definitely recommend.
Good for transport hub access and City centre
Very central place to stay near the Termini where the buses and trains start/finish. Room was very quiet opposite from rooms that were above the streets. The D-Superior beds were good allowing easier TV viewing with a vibrating head and/or foot option. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. I'd advise to have the hotel breakfast as you have more options and it works out cheaper than on street cafes.
Home from Home
The welcome at reception, and the whole team of staff were excellent. The breakfast was first class and attention to detail was perfect.
Breakfast was great every day we were here. Everything was kept spotless. The dining options were endless. Would stay here again.
This hotel double-charged my credit card on checking out
Wonderful Rome hotel
Everyone was wonderful and willing to help with resturant reservations and tours. The breakfast was outstanding, looks of variety and really delicious. Short taxi ride to Vatican, colosseum, etc I highly recommend and would stay again.
Convenient, but not that nice
Location is good near Termini Station. The rooms are very small, but quite well kept. The staff are friendly, though it is a bit annoying to receive so many messages about airport transport (the hotel is very easy to reach from the station). My biggest complaint was that it was very difficult to control the temperature in the room without opening the window and curtains. There was an aircon, not sure if it was on, I tried like 3 different settings and none affected the temperature (partly I think because the machine is behind a curtain)
There is no enoughhot water when in bathing
Great! It was spacious and nice.
Wonderful hotel close to all the restaurants & shopping! Staff was friendly & helpful. Hotel rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and conveniently offered at the hotel for a reasonable price. Would definitely stay there again!
It was a very pleasant place to stay.
It was a nice hotel that is 3 blocks from the Termini station. This makes access to metro, bus, train and taxi very easy. The restaurants around it were good and friendly.
It is a nice, cozy, clean basic hotel very near the train train station. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was very helpful. When I mistakenly booked a car for airport pickup the wrong date, they offered free breakfast for my inconvenience even though it was entirely my fault. When on my second stay they had an overbooking issue, they provided a no-cost upgrade to a more modern and nicer property nearby. All in all an excellent experience.
Friendly staff, safe area, comfortable beds, hot showers, convenient access to train station, and within walking distance to restaurants and attractions.
Not even close to being a 4 star Hotel.
A pet peeve of mine are "Luxury Hotels" that list amenities that they do not actually supply. Augusta Palace fits right into this category. It lists itself as a Four Star Hotel but does not actually offer those amenities, like Room Service or having a restaurant or bar on the property then after you check in you get a weasel-like insincere apology. Meanwhile they "Forget" to take down the listings on sites that they have the aforementioned Room Service, restaurant, bar and other services. The rooms were tiny and cramped and not very comfortable. The clearance between the bed and the wall was maybe about 14 inches so you really have to be careful not to bump your head or face into the wall when you get up out of bed. The bathroom shower doors were moldy along the top rim and the shower was a bit smaller than a phone booth. I would never, ever stay at this hotel ever again. No.
Clean and near to everything.
It was a good place to rest. Wonderful continental breakfast. Great staff.
Very Near to Termini Station. Comfortable stay.
Just a terrific place to stay. Great breakfast, great staff, comfortable room.
Friendly staff who were very helpful. Breakfast really excellent with a big variety of food.
The location was central for my purposes and close to transportation.
Very convenient and located in a great spot
Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful.
we have stayed at the hotel many times and will continue to do so .all the staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help.the hotel is spotlessly clean, the beds are so comfortable and the rooms are warm.with plenty of hot water. thanks to jayson for always making us welcome and working so hard
Not a 4 star hotel.
Room was clean, unfortunately situated at the front of the building with no access to air conditioning, made sleeping rather challenging. Laundry service repeatedly woke me, as I had to sleep with a window open due to lack of air conditioning. Bathroom - Flushplate of toilet broke, wasn't fixed for duration of our stay. Shower Drain was partially blocked, meaning you could run the shower for no more than 5 minutes before the room would be flooded. Hygiene products left were irritating to skin and poor quality. Shower valve had a large hole in wall behind it - don't even want to think of what could have been growing in there. TVs were not smart TVs, no kettle or tea/coffee available in room. Room itself was rather small. Really just a bed, TV & a cramped bathroom where if you sat on the toilet, your knees almost touched the sink. Cleaning staff were fantastic, pleasant and even came back to clean our room a morning after we slept in a little too long. Overall, not a 4star hotel, compared to ones I've stayed in previous. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. Expect a 3star experience.
Good
Great stay, we got a good rate and were pleased with our stay. The hotel let us add an additional night later for the same price as our first two nights, which was very nice. Clean, accommodating, good location. The hotel picked us up from the airport, breakfast was great too.
Toothbrush, toothpaste and kettle will be provided upon request at the lobby reception. There's a towel warmer but not working. Overall is good except that the door was faulty, we found that the door was not closed properly when we were back on the 3rd night, we feedback but same happened on the 4th night, took them 2 days to rectify.
Definitely recommended.
Satisfied overall
Close to Roma Terminus. Easy walk. Staff were great. Room was small but clean and comfortable! Lots of restaurants nearby at reasonable prices. Easily walked to a lot of the sights!
Good location, very close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable.
Our room was too small, we mentioned our issue to those wonderful folks at the front desk. Next day we were given an upgrade at no charge. This particular good-will gesture, customer service, was so appreciated during our week-long stay. Love Augusta Lucilla Palace. We travel through Rome twice yearly and book ALP at least once a year since COVID. Grazie Mille
Great location near the Roma Termini train station, the coliseum, and eateries. Our economy double room was a bit tight in space, but expected. We had no issues with getting hot water, shower drainage, and the bed was comfy. Also the lobby front desk service and free hotel slippers were appreciated! Overall it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed during our short stay in Rome.
Hidden gem in Rome
Small room but very nice, everything was clean and all the important stuff worked. Big windows that opened right up, great to get some fresh air in the room. A bit noisy from the street but it is the middle of Rome so not really surprised (no noise at all with the windows closed) Roof terrace nobody seemed to use, we got some drinks from the local supermarket and had a lovely evening chilling up there. Local shops and restaurants, very friendly staff and great food and prices. Although some areas near the station are a bit dodgy, the streets around here felt safe even late at night. Would highly recommend, great value and great location.
Great location close to Roma Termini. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Could occasionally hear voices from next room but no late noises
Good basic room
We booked and Economy room It was small and basic but clean There is a lot of ambient noise from streets and next rooms Staff are polite , decent lower cost room close to terminal
Excellent location for access to Public Transport and good service.
Great place to stay: staff was great,, close to train station and tour buses... room very adequate.. recommended
All good
Excellant staff
2nd time stay
Location is convenient and within walking distance to most sightseeing. Rooms are comfortable and clean, the message bed is a bonus, beds/pillows are one of the most comfortable. Friendly staff and breakfast is excellent.
Just few minutes walking to the Rome Termini (train terminal). 30 mins to airport Rome Fiumicino by train. Also, this hotel is close to things to see areas. No need to take Hope-on-off (charges 25 euros) because one can go everywhere with just few euros using underground subway from Rome Termini. Walking distance (2 subway stations) to Fountain Trevi -spectacular fountain.
The internet in the room was atrocious. It did not work at all. In addition the shower drain was very slow so I could not properly shower.
Great location, quiet, great service.
Overall clean hotel & great, friendly staff!
Staff are friendly and accomodating.
Pleasant stay after all. Upon check-in, we dealt with a little bit of prejudice from 2 employees at the Front Desk but we actually ended up enjoying our stay and dealings with other hotel employees.
Thin walls and ceilings for noise, like the plumbing
Wonderful breakfast, also very clean hotel in a very convenient location.
This is a very decent hotel in a pretty good location for getting around Rome. It’s clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Nice clean room , very attentive staff
Good and clean hotel near Roma Termini
A good and clean hotel near Roma Termini. There were many good restaurants and groceries around, and the reception was available 24 hours a day. Some staff are friendly and accommodating while others wouldn't even say hello or smile when you walk in. Other than that, it's a decent hotel with reasonable prices
Good location
Great place, walking distance to everything
Nice stay at the central Rome close to Termini and also close to few attractions. Staffs were professional and helpful.
A good option in a great location
Great location, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The balcony is large but not really useful unless you are a smoker. The shower is very small and the water temperature didn’t always regulate well. For the price and location it was pleasant.
The beds are amazing
The staff is always exceptional. Great location near the train. Walkable area
will go again
Great location
The adjustable bed was a nice surprise and very comfortable. The room was clean and there was a balcony.
Awesome
Great location
I have to say I was pleased with my stay. I was surrounded by many choices to eat and shop the train station is no more than a 5 minutes walk taxis everywhere. The hotel staff was very professional and accommodating. They were very kind to help me find my way around the city. I will be returning to the Augusta Lucilla Palace in the near future.
Amazing !!! Great rooms. Great service. Great food. And very affordable!!!!!!
Very close to termini station. Good rooms. Ok breakfast
I stay in this hotel every time I’m in Rome. Conveniently located and very pleasant hotel. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The noise from the street could be bothersome at times.
Comfortable, clean, convenient hotel (close to main train station). Very good breakfast. My one problem: the hotel ad should say that the gym/fitness is in another hotel and that there is a 9 euro per day extra charge for using it.
5 mins walk from Termini station. Nice staff at reception. Ok breakfast
The staff was friendly courteous helpful with everything from recomedations for restaurants to getting taxi's for us. Our room had a balcony where we could smoke and that was key for us.
Clean and cozy hotel. Highly recommended.
The facilities are fabulous! I must say the water pressure was my favorite part of our stay. The rooms are definitely larger than I expected. Friendly staff, about 5 minutes from Roma Termini. Some of the areas around the hotel felt sketchy
Great location. Very clean room and friendly staff.
An excellent hotel. Clean, friendly staff and excellent facilities including tv, mini fridge, and toiletries. Really friendly welcome on arrival and offered a guide to help us work out where to go. Location is excellent, lots of restaurants around , mini markets and a 5 min walk from Rome Termini. About 15 min walk down the main road to the colleseum and forum. Would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting rome. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Awesome hotel
Excellent!
Great option near Termini station. Easy to catch the metro to anywhere you want to go. Clean, quiet, great shower, friendly staff. Close to great resteraunts
The big room was very spacious and perfect for two. The vicinity to the Termini station with the access to national trains and Rome’s metro was beyond convenient. The bar had very good coffee!
Small and Comfortable
The stay was good and comfortable. Although the room size was small. Rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel was quite accessible to all the major rome landmarks and very close to the main train terminal.
A quaint little hotel with a decent sized room conveniently located next to Termini station and within walking distance to many of the primary sites. The Termini Metro station is around the corner and very easy to use.
Close to Termini Train Station and dinning places. Just. 1.5 away from historical sites.
