Poor internet. Poor door locking chain. Shower could have some work. More MILK!!!

Reception is not manned, you have to phone for one of the cleaners to come. Parking is very tight. Room needs a deep clean. But for something cheap, and walking distance to Newmarket, its OK.

Room #6 needs an uplift, area around toilet stinks urine, sink in a poor condition as well. Sheets are clean thou. We booked this room for three persons, however complimentary soap and body wash only for two and no shampoo at all. The area suited us well. The staff friendly, but no explanation how to check out - where to drop the card(key), so you have to figure out yourself. 2.5 - 3 stars but no more.

It would be nice if they put local food places and there menu in there folder

Friendly Staff good price for a last minute booking

The check-in was easy. The room was very quiet. There are a couple of good eating places (Thai and Italian) within a 2-3 minute walk. Room was clean and tidy.

High standards cleanliness, bed was very comfortable. We loved our overnight stay I would definitely come back.

Please get your drains cleaned in shower so clogged up . half of the lights don’t work . the fridge is so noisy you can’t Sleep . When I checked in I rang the bell so many times I ring number hear phone ringing and guy was in room next door . Yes meant to be cheap and cheerful but please put some love and cleaning into your motel

Not clean. Rubbish under the bed. No cooking equipment.

Staff are friendly easy excess to the property can have a good walk in summer close to the shopping only think I don’t like every time I go people nxt to me are loud and shouting that was my bad experience couple of times

Needs a bit of care to bring up. Heat pump didnt work. Cound not get sky.

We have a miniature poodle what travels with us and it was great to find somewhere that welcomed a pet. A great location and nice and quiet.

I really satisfies with the queen studio room I booked,the bed was comfortable and new,the bathroom was newly renovated and the heat pump and WiFi is working very well,plus a few minutes walk to Newmarket

Very misleading accommodation advertising

When booking this for two work colleagues, it stated it was 4 star accommodation and it looked clean, tidy and modern. The reality was very different!!!

Great little place that was cost effective and close to where we needed to go

This place is for emergency & long term housing obviously- not for visitors to Auckland. Very noisy people yelling in the corridor and hanging around outside. Dirty bathroom. Didn’t feel secure sleeping at night. Staff weren’t always available in office. Good walk to Westfield. Didn’t enjoy our stay won’t be coming back here.

Property met our basic needs, place to sleep and shower etc. however it appears that the place is also being used for emergency housing, so some people around who were a bit worrying. Parking was quite tight.

The location for what we used it for was good

We arrived very late and they were awake to receive us. Thank you, says reception 24/7 and they were right.

Tired & Expensive

More like a 2-3 star hotel, looking very tired. Paid $250 for a night, should have been less than half. Only consider when there is nowhere else to stay

The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean and fresh.

The only good thing about this property is its proximity to eden oark and shopping mall.. i was angry i wasnt told motel is being used for social housing. Continual smell of cigarette smoke i will never go back. Tell people about social housing when they book. Very dishonest..

Great motel that accommodates for pets also easy parking with restaurant on site . The rooms are clean with air conditioning and a strong shower can’t fault it and the staff are lovely have been staying here for years

Overall good, close to activity we came for.

Room itself was basic and comfortable. Very convenient for my meeting. Car park too small. Water in shower was hopeless ran hot and cold as though there was someone turning another tap on and off repeatedly somewhere on the system.

Was super handy, easy and yum eating options close by. Walk to train. A bit noisy through the night.

Upgraded our room and staff are friendly.

Clean

It is not a flash place but has all I need and is clean. Unfortunately during my last stay there were some noisy and inconsiderate people staying in the room next door who kept waking me up.

This accomodation is also emergency housing as a warning. Our hot water kept running out mid shower. There was lots of junk lying around the units outside. The unit inside was ssatisfactory

Great value and excellent for slightly larger families. We have 3 young children so it can be difficult to find accommodation suitable for our size. Easy and fast check in, all the facilities were great as it looked like it had a new refurb and great location for us. Stairs to the upstairs room were really creaky but otherwise everything else was good.

Easy access, good value for money

The property is fine for basic stays. It’s clean and the location good if you need to be around the Epsom area. Nothing fancy.

We stayed here in a family unit which worked well for us. It also had two bathrooms which was a bonus so we didn't need to share with the kids. Shower had good pressure and there was a bath tub not that we used it. The wifi was good and the only negative would be the pidgins that seemed to live on the roof of the until and windows. Not that this was a motel owners fault, the birds just made a lot of noise early in the morning. Happy to recommend to others. Also the location was pretty central to everything we needed to do.

Easy location, no fuss experience at check in. Rooms had no aircon so got a bit stuffy. We were on ground floor and could hear everything above us.

Clean tidy units. Very basic but satisfied. Parking is very tight for larger vehicles. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and easy check in. Beautiful room. Very tidy and clean. Comfortable. Only issue was that the room was not overly sound proof so was woken earlier than would have liked.

Room was spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. Decor was pleasing. Very quiet area and no traffic noise at all. Just a few things such as marks on the tiles and stained basin in the bathroom detracted from a excellent review. Parking was a bit tight with a bigger sized vehicle. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Price was reasonable. All in all a great stay.

This is possibly the cleanest place I've ever stayed. There were a few stains here and there and chips on the furniture which may have put people off, but everything is literally so clean so don't panic. The staff is lovely also, they let me check in half an hour earlier which is great.

As a place to spend a night or two away it was great. Wifi was slow and at times unusable, which meant I was using my own data but that wasn't too much of a problem.

It was a great property, in an excellent location, with outstanding service. Overall I was really really pleased with it and would stay again. However, neither of the showers was great, and it would have been perfect if this hadn't been the case.

Good location close to Cromwell Park and with easy access to CBD by city bus. Room was spacious and clean but with no air conditioning it was getting very hot in the afternoon. Also, smoking being allowed right outside the rooms, smoke (or at least the smell of it) would seep into the room whenever there were smokers around.

Property location is OK and close to restaurant. Environment is a bit run down. TV does not work. Fuses was jumped so not all electrical outputs are working.

The room looked nice. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was way to big. I slept badly and woke with a very sore neck, which affected me hugely

I really liked staying here last year, so when it came to coming up to Auckland again I decided to book here again. The location is perfect as everything is in walking of electric scooter distance (westfield newmarket, the warehouse, greenlane countdown, chinese takeaways, hell pizza, asb showgrounds). Was really impressed my room was ready before 2pm, eventhough I was happy to check in at 2 this is something that is a real bonus at any accommodation. The only thing I could fault is there is no lock on the bathroom door, but that is something very minor and not an issue if you are staying alone. Overall, a hassle free relaxing stay and certainly will consider staying again. 5/5

Location was really handy for us. Slept well. Warm room. Price quite reasonable but motel is a work in progress and the whole complex needs a really good clean.

There were bed bugs, mattress protectors were disgusting, and no smoke alarms.

Clean comfortable room. Great location. Close to motorway and one tree hill.

Clean and beds are comfy. Modern bathroom.. very nice stay.

There were some refurbishments going on that affected the parking although I did have a space. Weird that the studio room was over two floors but neither area had a door so no privacy.

Great located modestly priced motel. Parking was there but if you have a bigger car would be an issue. From the outside the property needs some updating and maintenance. We were lucky enough to have an updated 2 level family suite. Nicely renovated and comfortable, only issue was the water from the upstairs shower running out of the bathroom into the bedroom.

No Milk supplied for the cuppa -- Otherwise Great in every other aspect.

Auckland Newmarket Motel was in a good convenient location

The room we had was perfect for our stay. It had the most comfortable bed and looked like the bathroom had just been updated. Only downside (if you could call it that) was it was hard to fill up the electric jug due to size/shape of basin Central to motorways and amenities we required

Place smelt like damp and dirty carpet. Bugs everywhere on the bed in bathroom. I ended up leaving at 4am because I couldn't sleep was too gross.

No batteries in smoke alarm, no power on arrival, more unclean than any student flat I lived in. I've never stayed at / seen a place in such disrepair. Bathroom and walls were dirty, bedding was unclean, carpet was sticky. The couch looks like it came from the side of the road, but somehow dirtier.

Very friendly management. Room was lovely modern and clean. Close to where we wanted to go.

Look for another accommodation alternative

I wouldn’t recommended this motel as the noise from other residents are very unbearable throughout the night constant noise. The cleanliness of the accommodation wasn’t great and we had to remind them to clean are room the next day as they forgot to clean our room the day before. One of the room had a damp smell which we were informed that the carpet was replaced but smell wasn’t pleasant but doable. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this motel and I consider myself pretty fair person and I have stayed in some terrible motels and hotels. This is way overpriced for what it’s worth.

Room was clean enough but furnishings were tired and worn. The stairway outside was dirty and very shoddy - a very poor look for visitors. Office staff were polite and friendly

This has the potential to be an incredible motel. Foyer and hallways are clean, but the rooms, especially the bathroom in our case was disgusting. The restaurant was awful. Front of staff was sickening, clearing your nose through your throat every 3 minutes whilst standing a couple of metres from people eating is not acceptable. The doors to restaurant kitchen are black with grime and the food was uneatable.

The manager was lovely but wasnt very clean. Outside area was full of leaves and millions of smoke butts. Only had 2 satchets of coffee and sugar.

Staff was helpful. Price was high for the cleanliness and condition of the property, easily fixable - reduce price or higher standard. Overall okay rating

The unit was nice and clean.Handy to Alexandra park.The motel itself is getting old and needs upgrading but overall it was good.

Upon arrival (4.30pm) greeted by piles of dirty laundry & rubbish out side room. At the rear of the motel was a disgusting overfilled waste bin that was fowl smelling (this was cleaned during my stay). So much rubbish everywhere. Gardens neglected. They have a pigeon problem so lots of bird droppings outside the ground floor room areas, which were covered with leaves and dirty, as was the door to my room. My room must have been the last one? Dirty old masking tape joining the carpet at the front of the room. The furniture is dirty the wardrobe not dusted in years. My tub chair was covered in stains. Overall musty, mouldy smell. Old fridge with dirt caked in the door rim and it hummed. While the property is old, the cleaning level is basic and not acceptable. Security on my door was just a push in knob, if you forced it, very easy for someone to break in. I could not get wifi access during my stay and tried with 3 different codes. Sky coverage inconsistent with fuzzy screen. No compendium of general information on offer. The staff are polite and helpful, but out of their depth. This property needs a major refurbished and a professional cleaning plan.

Out most of the day, great to come back to a clean, tidy, comfy room.

Nice motel, great location. A bit of maintenance would help e.g. toilet roll holder had fallen off, broken latch on window. Very comfy bed. Would stay again.

Excellent location for my visit, was disappointed to be interrupted to do some maintenance on a cooktop that was nothing to do with my stay. Also thought they could have washed the dishes when the towels were changed or left a tea towel so I could have done my own.
