Appreciated thr airport shuttle service

Rooms are not at all like they show in the pictures. Walked to gas station and there are bars on the windows. Asked if it was safe to walk to a place to eat a couple blocks away and the person working at the gas station said no.

A pleasant motel, close to the airport and shopping centre. Definitely stay again.

Convenience

The carpet was filthy, there were small holes in the wall, the outside rim of the shower was dirty, the plastic was separating from the toilet seat , something had been spilt in the fridge freezer and the air conditioner did work however the fan only functioned on low and was too small for the space. I would not recommend.

This is an old property and our room smelt of cigarettes. It is close to the airport and the complimentary shuttle to the airport is great (and the driver super friendly). However, there were other more modern (and presumably cleaner) accommodation options nearby. The neighbourhood is average but it served us for an overnight with early morning departures from Auckland.

Well spaced out and nice clean look about it Not far at all from the International Airport.Have used their free shuttle to the Airport and friendly helpful guy for driver.Will definitely use this property for future visits to Auckland

There was no soap liquid or barin the bathroom and Tea Towel had to be requested.

Spacious but tired decor eg rusty bin. Airport shuttle took half an hour to come.

Would not use again

I was well aware that this was no frills and very basic, and I chose it because of price and the free airport shuttle. I can deal with no frills, and some wear around the edges, but the room was not clean. Trash hadn’t been emptied, crusty stuff on the counters, thick layer of dust on other surfaces, leftover soap wrappers on the edge of the tub, and piles of dirt and hair in the corners of the bathroom floor. There was about a third of a roll of toilet paper and no spare, and when I asked for another roll it was given very begrudgingly. At least the linens were clean.

Improvements to be made

Was just an overnight stay as we were collecting a child from the airport. Many blown light bulbs in the 2 bedroom family unit. Curtains have some rips in them, door handle to the bedroom when you come into the unit was coming off the door, tv wouldn’t work because the aerial had been unplugged. Found a coffee mug that hadn’t been cleaned properly. Unit is just a bit worn and needs a little TLC. Advised staff of issues. Couches weren’t that comfortably, when you sit down you can feel the ridges in it and need to be careful when sitting down on it.

The front desk person was gone for a long time when we first arrived there. Also, somewhat rude, did not want to provide information about airport parking. They provide shuttle service with extra cost. Outside was cold, windows were open, and was difficult to close. Shower screen was halfway so water was coming out all over the bathroom when taking shower.

Not as clean as could be also the facilities a bit tired but very good service from the Receptionist.

The room was dirty. Table had a place mate in centre which had never been cleaned under and was moldy and covered in stick food. Closest room to road. Very load.

Only used as a place to sleep before an international flight. Quite dated. No remotes for air conditioners.

Nice place close to airport

Quiet and very clean

Price was reasonable for a basically clean room. The bed was freshly made and the management was very helpful. When our power converter did not work, management loaned us a converter overnight. The carpet and floors were vacuumed but I wouldn't walk barefoot on them. Considering this was not meant to be a luxury stay, helpful staff and clean bed alone deserve four stars.

Didn’t end up staying. Checked in at checked out within 1 hour.

The friendliness.

Great place to stay if you’re catching an early flight in Auckland airport. We slept comfortably and the ability to leave the car at their car park for free for 7 days was awesome! Will definitely stay again

Not much close by, an Indian/Chinese restaurant that will deliver, or pick you up for a fee. We enjoyed the dishes that we had.

Fine for a one night stay. Older property that has had some cosmetic upgrades in the rooms. Friendly staff.

Cookware was unsafe, handle on saucepan loose lids not correct ones. Close to airport with 24 hr shuttle.

Handy on / off motorway. Plenty of room, every room on ground level & convenient as our car was parked immediately outside our room. Wonderful xo

The room I stayed in was comfortable and convenient for my over night stay and having the use of the free shuttle service to and from the Airport was great. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I also liked that it was in walking distance to the shopping centre I went to.

The person who worked in the morning was particularly unpleasant. We had been in Australia and although I had set my alarm for 8am to be out by 10am, my iPhone remained on Aussie time and we got up late. Our fault. However, when I tried apologising and explaining, the woman was not interested in listening to me and walked off as I was talking. She kept coming back to the room because we’d booked the motels shuttle, hurrying us along. I tried to say we would take the next available shuttle time as it was only us going on it to the airport. She told me she had to be back for the 11 o’clock shuttle, there was no one wanting that time. My husband was on the toilet and she got more and more aggressive and nasty. I ended in tears all the way to the airport. There is no need for someone to treat another person the way she treated us. The motel rooms were not all full.

Everything was great expect our hot water was turned off the morning we checked out on our side but the staff cleaned another shower in another room for us to use. The other apartments on the other side hadn’t had their hot water turned off.

Was very clean and everything was there. Even milk for the coffee. Only fault was the shower seals were loose and the soap holder was loose. Also liquid soap is muck better than soap bars.

Excellent customer service. Hotel facilities are quite old.

A great stay thank you. My only concern was the speed that vehicles travelled through the complex. There were four families with 6 young children I was constantly watching they did not go from one u it to another u supervised.

Needed one night for large family. It wasnt fancy or new, but was clean and afforfable. Would stay again if needed.

We stayed there for one night after a late flight arrival and the shuttle service and parking were fabulous - so efficient and convenient. Would definitely recommend if you need accomodation close to the airport with free parking and free shuttle.

We had a fantastic stay… with 4 families and 6 children under 8 years my only comment was the speed of vehicles driving through the complex, especially the courtesy van.

Great staff and good stay for two nights

Perfectly suitable for our family group of 6 to stay overnight prior to flight. Very accomodating for our 2 vehicles and transport to airport.

Grateful that the reception was open 24 hours despite the notes about the hotel saying it was only open until midnight. The extra bed was extremely uncomfortable and no blankets supplied. The floor in the bathroom is extremely dangerous - extremely slippery. For the price we paid the facilities provided were meagre.

Excellent value for the money. The staff too were excellent. Very helpful.

Stairs to get up to our room were steep..with no lift option..

Easy stay

This was the only terrible experience we had among all our stays in NZ. 1. WiFi did not work and they were not bothered about my multiple complaints. It was very difficult without wifi to get many things done 2. Slippery and oily kitchen floor. 3. Utensils were not cleanly washed. Some electrical equipments were also not clean. 4. We went in winter. Heater in bathroom was not working, This means we had to be shivering while taking bath. 5. Bathroom taps were dirty and also tight. Overall a very bad experience. Not worth so many dollars spent on this stay

Communication regarding our late check-in was excellent. It made for an easy, smooth check-in. Really welcoming and friendly. Very comfy bed. Car space directly outside room so no hassle with bags. Would highly recommend and would def stay there again.

Got into Auckland airport with children to tow at midnight. Auckland Airport Lodge was great, welcoming, big enough for 6, and helped out with a cot

Unfortunately this was not the greatest. Quite smelly. Carpet was stained. Spiders in the shower and elsewhere. Iron is in the laundry room Good things was the 24/7 free shuttle to the airport. The proximity to the airport is close. Staff was very friendly

Someone food from prior still had old food in microwave

The room was updated, clean, comfortable, and had plenty amenities. There was even a small enclosed patio. They upgraded me to a room with a Jacuzzi tub, as well as a shower. The area is mostly residential and very quiet. The free airport shuttle runs every 30 mins. I would highly recommend to stay here if you need to be near the airport.

There were crumbs and rubbish through the unit. There were innumerable amounts of damage to the walls. There was a ? Smoke alarm taped up with masking tape on the roof. Good location, terrible cleanliness especially for the price.

Disappointing

Pictures are accurate but do not really show how dated and compact the rooms are. There is no private outdoor space, very close to a main road and a community centre across the road that was hosting a celebration late at night, really need double glazed windows!! Air-conditioning was located in the lounge close to the sliding door and did not reach the bedroom which ended up being quite warm because we needed to keep the windows closed due to the outside noise. We ended up leaving early and cancelled our second stay, which cost us over $800 as both stays were non-refundable. For us to give up that money and book somewhere else shows how disappointed we were. This motel is better suited to overnight stays, not for families. Will never stay here again

I felt the price was excessive for the ordinary quality of the place

Ckose to airport, clean and easy. Airport transport quick. Nicely renovated rooms, good layout, only issue was shower either too hot or too cold.

The accommodation is run down. There was a strong smell of damp on entering. Paint is peeling off the ceiling in the bedroom. There is mould in the bathroom. Single glazing makes traffic noise significant. Overall it was an unpleasant stay.

Could do with a refurbishment - looking a bit old and tired

I booked for 2 nights. There were ants all over my room, wifi did not work, staff didn’t seem to care. Checked out after the first night and was not giving a refund for the second night. This place sucked, worst hotel experience of my life.

Book somewhere else. the most unfriendly staff we have ever encountered, not welcoming at all. room barely clean - kitchen floor sticky, had to wear shoes. Bugs crawling on toilet. For the price it may as well have been a back packers.

This is an overnight stay property for the airport because there’s not really much else around. But the shuttle bus service is fantastic and staff accomodating. We arrived in on a late flight and the shuttle was there really quickly!

There was a dirty chipped cup in the room and the lights in the bathroom and toilet area were not working. The room was dated and generally tatty. We had a booking through Wotif and as we had a late change until the next day, we had to pay two tariffs for only one night. Wotif refused to help out this situation, so we will ensure that we will never use Wotif again.

When we arrived there was a sign saying they were out for 20 mins but no time as to how long it had been. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Very handy having a park right outside the room. Would definitely recommend.

outdated motel with furnishings that should be updated...However ,you get what you pay for,in this case a comfortable bed near the airport at a reasonable price

Liked everything, especially the helpfulness of the shuttle driver. The room and bathroom were wonderful.

Had a 5 bed room - heating the upstairs very effective, downstairs ineffective.
