love our stay. We booked a family room which have queen bed, 2 singles, kitchen etc. Love it our room was clean. Love the free transportation in the yellow bus from the airport to the motel that a bonus. Would recommend for anyone who want to stay there.

Very poor shower pressure, leaking shower head

I am disappointed because I mistakenly booked my room on the wrong month so when I arrived I had to pay for another room, thats fine, my mistake. But… they would not refund my money from the original booking, even though they had a whole month to get the room rebooked.

We have always stayed on the hotel side first time on the motel side. Great unit, all you need plenty of outdoor space for my son. Nice and quiet comfortable bed. Wilk now be booking with the motel.

Fine for one night of jet lagged sleep, but I wouldn’t stay for longer. The bathroom had a very strong stench of stale urine in it, which was very unpleasant. The room itself was clean and had everything I needed. The restaurant was a pretty bleak place, and the food wasn’t good. However, the free shuttle to/from the airport and proximity to the airport was my main reason for booking, and you pay for what you get!

The staff were very friendly anf helpful, but the room was very tired. Bedding etc was clean but the bathroom and ceilings were mouldy and below average. Was fine for a 1 night stop over but would not have wanted to stay any longer

This motel is close to the airport which was very convenient since we traveled almost 22hrs to get to Auckland . Staff is really nice. Beds were comfortable.

Overall was good but disappointed and unsatisfactory that the breakfast that we paid for only included cereal, yogurt, ect. and did not include any of the eggs, bacon, ect. which was $15 extra.

Everything is fine

Easy free bus connection to the airport made this an easy choice. Good price too

I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend or family member. It does lack simple elements like a directory, I tried to reach the front desk using any combination of numbers and characters, no luck. There were two big flies we couldn’t get rid of. We managed to dispose of the roach “we saw”. The carpet was torn out at several places and its cleanliness suspect. There is black mould around the shower. The wall’s paint is damaged and stained at different locations. In summary, it’s cheap and convenient to the airport but it leaves a lot to be desired. IMHO

Housekeeping was abysmal - no one took any responsibility. Housekeeping was not done everyday inspite of calling the reception. Cockroaches in the room. Stains on the bed linen. Not at all kid friendly. Not worth the money. Stayed for a week and was not getting any response even for basic amenities.

Floor was dirty, and the bedside table was not properly fitted; it dropped off while sleeping.

Excellent and really loved the upgrade but the back rooms need a better safer path. Very unsafe

Shower was abit confusing, didn't know how to get it warm. Husband figured it out after a while. We were only given 2 towels but there was 3 of us. Otherwise was fine.

Stayed one night before our flight out. Good price. Staff service was lovely, friendly and keen to help. Convenient free shuttle to and from the airport arranged by the front desk. Rooms were very clean and beds are very comfortable.

good spacious room, parking ample, clean and quiet environment, licenced restaurant with gd menu options, particularly Indian selections, dish portions very generous for hungry guests, waiting staffs are pleasantly helpful breakfast offers basic continental buffet, room we stayed 104, toilet seat loosely moving, shower not strong enough, yet we stayed room 301 two weeks prior, bathroom facilities are in good order, i shall check in again absolutely with no hesitation, highly recommended

What a stunning transformation

Easy checkin. Lovely rooms. This hotel has come a hell of a long way We used to stay here a long time ago and tbe place then was disgusting. Love how beautiful it now is. I remember how bad it was. Well done on turning it into a comfortable home away from home

Property was good

Excellent stay at the Kiwi Motel. Room was clean and prepared. We had a good experience when entering a new country as all the staff were super friendly. Made use of the Yellow Bus shuttle service included in our booking. The restaurant's food is very good and there are facilities in the rooms to prepare food as well. Wi-Fi and TV was working. Overall a very good experience. Thank you Auckland Airport Kiwi Motel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there were some very noisy guests in rooms adjacent to ours and i was woken at 3am when they arrived late from simewhere and then there was a very loud conversation/argument at 8am the next morning outside their rooms which were opposite ours. I spoke to staff at reception begore we headed out for the day and that afternoon/evening those guests were not in those rooms. We liked that there was a full shower which made it easy for my elderly mother to use but a nonslip mat in the shower or rails in the shower would be good as the floor was very slippery when wet. We enjoyed our stay and the convenience of the hotel and the comfort of the rooms. It would be nice to have had an arm chair and/or small dining table to eat at. A can opener and a few other utensils to help with cooking would also be good. Thank you

The property was clean and warm

Rooms are comfortable, staff are helpful and the curry at the restaurant is really good.

Bang for buck. Dont expect 5 star. We stay there frequently for in / outbound flights.

It was a pleasant hotel and my stay was good.

Room smelt like animal, semi cleanish. Not enough towels, no handtowel, needs non slip mat. WiFi wouldn’t connect so couldn’t make use of tv options. Phone wasn’t working. Laundry facilities were out of order.

STAY ELSEWHERE - DREADFUL

Dreadful place to stay. Old shabby and very run down. The towel rail was hanging off the wall. Bedside table handles also hanging off and broke. Bathroom sink taps plumbed backwards, so scorching hot water coming from cold tap (got burnt). Almost no water at all coming from shower, vacillating between scorching and icy. The 'restaurant' is a few tables in an open walking area between reception and the motel rooms so lots of through traffic. The 'free bonus' that we were offered with our dinner - chips (to go with the chips that came with my partners meal), or roast veg (also to go with his included veg and/or my pasta carbonara). Not the drink or sweet treat that the voucher claims. Also this is NOT a sports bar - so the multiple tvs dotted around the 'restauarant' playing sports during dinner was a pest and made the place seem even lower rent. The receptionist (young lady) was lovely and very helpful; but she's the ONLY good thing about this place.

Rustic

It does the job but would not stay again. There was a cockroach in the room and it was very dated and didn’t feel clean. Very spacious though if that is something you need.

Was value for money - really appreciated the dining room being open in the evening.

Poor signage to find the rooms, a number of other guests were struggling to locate the reception. Looks to to an upgrade to the site in progress..

Bed was not changed STUNK like BO and had blood on the sheets. Would not recommend this hotel.

Was a pleasant overnight stay. Staff were helpful. The outside needs some attention, however it looked like they had a team working on improving the area. Only thing I didnt like was the loud construction near reception. But hey what are they suppose to do. Will use this hotel again value for money.

The meals and service were very good. Reception very helpful.

The outside area was good for kids especially with a big group with lots of kids, but the rooms were ok, cleaning service was not good, we were cleaning our rooms ourselves with taking rubbish out and going to ask for clean towels and taking the dirty towels to the cleaners. So over all wasn’t the greatest experience.

Cons: - Air condition was not providing cool air and had to ask for a service. They fixed it same day. - we asked to be moved to another room because of Cleanliness and hygene, the new room did not have a toilet paper hanger on the wall. - Cleanliness and hygiene is poor. - Breakfast buffet is poor Pros: - Friendly staff - They provided free complementary breakfast after complaining.

We had an amazing stay at the Auckland Airport Kiwi hotel. The staff are super helpful and friendly, our room was perfect for what we needed for our family of 5. Tidy, clean and up to date inside our room. Free wifi. Food was delicious at the restaurant will definitely be back again!

Highly recommend!

I stay here once a year when I travel to NZ. All the staff are very friendly. The restaurant serves excellent food. The rooms are very nice, especially the ones on the motel section. Plus, you can't beat the price!

Good price bad water pressure

The good: Great price, clean, comfortable,roomy and friendly staff. The bad: Low water pressure. The shower was either really hot or really cold. The room smelled like a gym.

Very convinient to the airport but blanket should be washed after each tennant. TV remote had a fkat battery and no battery cover.

Won’t be back.

Booked last minute as needed to travel urgently. Only needed a solo room for the evening as flight was departing at 6 am. Unfortunately the room and bathroom wasn’t overly clean, no cups or glasses to drink from in the room but there was an ironing board with no iron!! Wouldn’t rush back.

A little shabby but great value and location

It was nice and close to the airport. The room was set up for 3 people with a kitchenette yet only had one chair and no table to sit at. It had hanging space, but no hangers.

What an awful place to stay. We booked a motel but were put in a backpackers. The room was dirty and damaged. The kitchen was falling apart, the kitchen untensils were filthy. Some of the windows didnt close properly or lock. We left as early as possible. I wish id read all the reviews on google and the copied and pasted replies from the hotel before booking here.

Duvet on bed loooked grubby. Only one mug and one cereal bowl in rrom.

Shown to room. Hadn’t been clean shower was dirty no beverage facilities. Asked to change. Second room toilet was dirty. Bed linen stained window broken couldn’t be closed. Refused refund. Never experienced such an awful facility. Relocated to alternative venue.

Could have done with a vacuuming under beds. Otherwise was ok. Spacious unit for 3 adults and 1 child. Good bathroom and hot drink making facilities. Close to airport. Would stay thete again.

Only there overnight

Basic accommodation, comfy bed, very dated and a few things needed fixing in the room (very minor) but it was cheap! The restaurant was very good and highly recommended - I was going to head to town but gave them a try and glad I did, lovely Indian food 5 star.

The reason I was disappointed was that I asked the staff for clean towels and they were not replaced, I had to go to the office in the evening and ask again. When they re-set the room they let the trash in the corner and didn't even bother taking it. The main reason was that I was going to check out a few days earlier than expected (due to unforeseen circumstances) and the hotel manager told me that I could not get a refund, I was so surprised.

Great for what we needed

When i got to room bathroom wasn't very clean, heatpump didnt work and was cold with out, glass wear and cup were not cllean in cupboards had mould in some. Just not a nice way to start a holiday glad i was only there for one night, won't be going back thats for sure.

Reception on check in was not friendly and had no clue if we could have a late check out. The toilet seat was broken, the desk chair was unsafe to sit on, there was rubbish left in the room, the fridge made a constant terrible noise, and the heat pump was unusually noisy. Booked for 2 nights left after 1 night. Will never recommend.

The motel was clean and convenient. Personally I found the bright light on the heat pump meant the room could not be dark for sleep. Next time I'd bring an eye mask.

Broken toilet seat, broken soap dispensers, no catch on toilet window & air con needs a service. (Noisy) Room was nice and clean but some maintenance is definitely required soon.

Was not as described. Definitely not disability friendly. Access to the room was via a broken uneven set of paths to a row of old rooms on top of a giant step into the front door. Greeted by a leaking fridge with a huge slippery puddle across the door way entry. No hand towels in the bathroom and no disability grab rails. TV needs replacing as the picture is not visible properly until left on for an extended period. Wifi was poor and kept dropping out. Only there for one night and the beds were comfortable.

I booked this for my mother inlaw and she told me everything was great especially the service although she turned up late.

Adequate for an overnight stay. Bathroom plumbing needs attention as shower runs hot and cold doesn't stay at constant temperature. Motel rooms not very sound proof.

The room was ok. The shower went hot and cold. It was like someone was turning the hot and cold taps on and off. They said it had sky tv but it didn't.

Highly recommend motel new airport area.

Found multiple cockroaches, including on the sink and in the fridge. There was also no staff at front desk for check in for at least 5 minutes and no way for us to call or locate them

Motel was advertising airport transfer, Due to covid this did not exist. So why maintain the charade. Say it does not exist. Checkin was excellent. Comfortable and clean room. Battery needs replacement in tv remote. I will stay again.
