The view is everything!
Excellent site, acceptable room, very clean but the building dates so everything creaks! Restaurant just in front gets extremely busy but the food is excellent.
I liked he view - water view
Nothing fancy, very basic, but decent for a quick stopover. Just steps from a small but pleasant sandy beach & the Saint Simeon ferry.
No coffee machine or boiler in room No AC Flies in room
For a 1 night stay is fine We used the ferry crossing & the hotel is literally in front of the dock So it's a good location for that But no coffee maker in room, no recycling bin in room, no microwave in room, no ice maker on premises Very simple room It was clean & plenty of towels in washroom
Beautiful view, nice room, friendly personnel. Not far from Tadoussac
Nice place, convenient location. Good value for the money
Charlevoix getaway
It’s a cute little place , rooms not big but has all the essentials you need for a short and pleasant stay. Well located View of the Ocean is a great plus!
This property was in a quiet bay with lovely view and restaurant opposite. You get to watch the ferry come and go and there is a lovely quiet beach nearby. The auberge has been renovated, however please note that there is no air conditioning and it was hot when we were there in August 2020 and for 3 nights impossible to sleep.
No airconditions and all the windows does not open very hot we wouldn't sleep andwe open the door àll night very very bad
Convenient location, right by the ferry. However, quite expensive for the size of the room and quality of furniture.
Very Good
Nice View, good Restaurant
Brefff tres belle place a dormir. Que sansois en famille ou voyage seul.
Do not stay at this property very bad staff very bad rooms. Terrible service
Great location and view. Charming property. Helpful and friendly front desk staff. Would be helpful to have a coffee maker in the room.
It was on the waters edge and we could get a few English channels on TV. We also enjoyed the 2nd floor living room that was open for all to use. The room was very small. There was no air conditioning. There was no coffee pot in the room forcing people to use the hotel restaurant for hot water for tea or coffee. Internet service was weak.
We were moved to a ‘chalet’ due to overbooking error by hotel. I was told I was a lucky man. The chalet was dated, had bare necessities, no heat, no wifi which we expected when we booked.
Too expensive
Small room. Too expensive for what it has to offer...
Overpriced tiny rooms. Without air conditioning, so summer nights are nightmare on hot days. Traffic at the ferry will wake you up. Stay away!
I got robbed by expedia Wont use you again No reservation at hotel no help from expedia except a one hour phone bill
The view from the balcony was gorgeous. No air conditioners in any rooms wish i knew before we booked in the middle of the summer. Very old and needs a good update.
Right on the water which was great, restaurant really close with good food, but was a challenge when speaking English to get point across
Wonderful views, could see whales in the distance. They don't provide a coffee maker in the rooms.
A place to remember and cherish
Never stayed any place this much clean and perfect in every area including surrounding.Nothing to improve a picture perfect place.
Home Away From Home
We were very pleased with this motel.....conveniently located next to the ferry....very clean with all amenities as expected, very helpful answering my questions regarding ferry parking....desk clerk went out of her way to explain things for us....altogether an enjoyable experience and we have already recommended this motel to our friends. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all who worked in the hotel and restaurant.
Travelkers
Good location for the ferry good little restaurant. Good mom and pop motel
Lovely people, helpful. Room condition needed updating; noisy fridges, toilet ‘ran’ all the time; we spoke little French to explain. Appeared not quite ready for their ‘season’!
Cozy Hotel
It is a cozy hotel, We like it so much the total experience was very good but the only issues is that when we were going to sleep, we found a dirty napkin on our bedsheet and in the night the staff hotel are not there after 8 pm to ask them to change the sheet so we had to manage but ourselves. Other than that, it was great
Nature trip
Nice things: Cute town with great views everywhere. Good restaurant across the street. Beach across the street but water is very cold there. Fun to watch the ferry load and unload four times a day. One unfortunate thing: I had reserved two rooms but they only had us down for one. (They blamed the booking website.) I speak rudimentary French, but that situation was too complex for my language skills. FORTUNATELY, the innkeeper found us another room at a neighboring motel, but this could have been a disaster. One problem -- wi-fi signal was sometimes undependable. One great thing -- common-area living room with great views.
It was a good stay
There was no air conditioning and it was a very Hot day. Also I could not find a ice macHine.
Ok hotel
It was ok. Could be better for the price. No breakfast included and minimal amenities. Bad cable and wifi connection. The rooms were clean and the location was nice. Good for a place to rest for the night without the frills.
Very frustrating! Feel cheated!
No any reminder to let you know it's located on the other side of the river, before you booked online. When you realized you have to take ferry across the river to get there, it's too late, even you just booked it 2 hours ago! Called the front desk, the staff do not (maybe can not) speak English, finally find a good heart Frenchman to call them again. No cancellation, you can't change, no any other options, because you have booked it. Then try to catch the ferry, we missed the last boat when we arrived at the ferry point. And had to spend ultra money for getting another two rooms in other hotel. This hotel definately is the worst one I have never seen before, you felt cheated. So terrible! Please remember, they only understand English before you pay the money. Shame!
Fridge in the room was noticeably noisy at night, woke us up several times. Told the proprietor next morning.
Clean and basic
Hotel is very clean but very basic amenities. Expensive for what you get. WIFI in the room is very weak. Staff didn’t speak English. The reception is not exactly open 24 hours. When ordering online you have to pay attention to the room description as there are different room types and the pictures can be misleading. The restaurant is outside the hotel. We had nice weather but could be a problem if you want your morning coffee without dressing up for rain or snow.
very nice hotel
Location was good but hotel staff not that good, if you speek english but they don't speek english, only France
Riverfront hotel in the heart of town.
Excellent hotel in such lovely location. Loved it and will go back.
Very good stay and comfort. Clean room and nice view.
relatively expensive. very small room and small to
somewhat disappointed, except being close to croisiere for whalewatching.
Don't expect much.
The room was 12' x 12' with a bed and small tv. No hairdryer, no coffeemaker, no information about the local area either in French or English. Bath towels were the size of hand towels. Staff at check-in and other times were less than friendly and made no effort to speak English, most of the time they were non-existent. The room was recently renovated/redecorated and was very clean but no amenities that you come to expect with a hotel room.
Beside the ferry!!
Nice location, beside the ferry and in front of the restaurant with a view of the river. Room had a small and uncomfortable for two. Very quiet and living room accessible for guest. You can park your car in line for the ferry and have breakfast while you wait.
Nice surprise by the St-Lawrence
My friends and I were nicely surprised to find this cute Auberge on expedia.ca. The pictures don't do it justice; the place has been completely renovated this Summer and everything in our room was brand new. The furniture was so comfortable, beds soft and comfy, linen crisp and clean, pillows fluffy. The bathroom was all new and all white, so comfortable to use. We even had access to the front porch to sit on, to look out to the St-Lawrence. The parking is right in front of the Auberge, you can park your car right in front of your room. Another nice surprise was to find this great restaurant, "Restaurant sur Mer", right across the parking lot, as part of the whole set up. The food was excellent, and the service superb! We were famished after a long day at sea, and were very content with the nice dinner. My friends and I completely recommend this place. Loved it!
what a dump
We arrived early afternoon to find several rooms with their doors and windows boarded up. There were construction workers, working on the motel. It was a mess. I inquired with the manager about our reservations and he had problems finding them. After locating them I asked what was going on with all the work, noise, and workers. He told me there was a fire back in May. The rooms were uninhabitable. I was showed another, older part of the motel where I would be staying. Those rooms were brutal. I refused to stay there. I wanted to know why I wasn't notified about the fire and never received a response. The only bright side to this story is I spoke with the motel owner by telephone. She was apologetic and offered to have us stay at her other motel about 1/2 mile away. We checked it out and it was nice. She did go out of her way to help us out.
Vue exeptionelle, lit moyen, acceuil chaleureux.

Very nice! the only concern was that the restaurant was not open for breakfast. Beside this everything was fine.
