Auberge du Vieux-Port is a truly spectacular property. It's unique and well appointed with an incredibly comfortable bed. The staff, though, really are the highlight, offering wonderful hospitality throughout.

Came for the weekend ... Great ambiance, fascinating building, great bar, great staff and perfect location of course.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

My wife and I have stayed at the Auberge several times and have never been disappointed. Location in old town is excellent as it near all attractions, view of the port with walking and cycle paths easily accessible along with shopping, restaurants and pubs near by. All in all a great place with great staff.

What a beautiful place to stay at holiday time! The lobby was decorated with trees and lights - it was stunning! The staff was helpful, and valet parking was easy. There are steps going in & out of the property, so it is not wheelchair accessible. Fortunately, there is an elevator inside though. Our room was clean and spacious, and we appreciated the prime location with 2 excellent restaurants attached. Prime shopping is just outside your door. Enjoy!

Excellent location to explore Old Montreal and so simple to walk/transit to explore much more. There is no public pool or hot tub at this facility which we knew upon booking so we at least anticipated a nice bath tub only to find a small walk in shower. Request a bathtub if you would like one. We learned to confirm this option in the future while booking.

Excellent Stay

Excellent hotel - beautiful room and property and staff was exceptional.

We were upgraded upon arrival,front desk was extreme helpful with recommendations. Our room was neglected by house keeping at 5pm so we had to call for clean towels and was supplied in a timely fashion. Overall a great location.

This property has a fireplace-lit warm cozy lobby, friendly staff and amazing restaurants attached. Nearby shopping is mostly touristy gift shops (some scattered antique and boutique) but the port and adjacent neighborhoods boast endless dining options. It’s an old building but the stone walls and charm make up for the odd steps up and down and slanting floors. Old world charm! Would stay again.

The perfect cozy December getaway! Charming and inviting lobby, excellent suggestions from the staff. Rooms were very clean, each one unique, comfy beds, great le labo toiletries, nice rain shower.

Beautiful room in a stunning location of Old Montreal. Great staff to help the guests with any questions. Loved having a glass of wine by the fire in the lobby!

Romantic, beautiful, river front hotel!

The Auberge du Vieux-Port is a romantic, river front hotel with ambience, great restaurants and cozy, comfortable rooms. The staff is delightful and friendly and so helpful. This is my second stay at this property and I absolutely love it. We had a gas fireplace and a huge jacuzzi tub for two. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful property and every single staff was so incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. The location is so perfect for exploring and there is plenty of shopping and food options around the area. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A lovely two-night stay to maintain a level of refined sophistication as America , once again, placed a sociopath dictator in charge of its destiny. We will be moving to Montreal within the next year.

Great location!

This was my first time in Montreal and the property and team were amazing. It was a cozy environment. The team was helpful with their local recommendations. There was two open restaurants onsite. I ended up going to one two nights in a row. For my next visit, I will be staying at this location again.

Perfect location

Great location, room was excellent. Room and bathroom were both large and very comfortable. Staff in both the hotel and the restaurants were wonderful and extremely accommodating!!

This is the second time in a year we have stayed here. The hotel is quaint, the staff is very courteous and helpful and the location in the Old City can not be beat. We had a delicious meal at the attached restaurant, but there are many other restaurants close by. We highly recommend this hotel. We will be back.

Front desk staff was very helpful with upgrading us and many great dinner suggestions!

Fantastically friendly and helpful staff. Parking for check-in was easy and right outside. Overnight parking at the port parking lot 5 mins walk. Many very good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Will definitely stay here in the future.

Beware of slipping standards

A hotel rather resting on its laurels of good reviews, charging relatively high prices but failing to take seriously feedback. Despite two separate requests before arrival for a quiet, high floor and some other smaller request none were met. The one promise of a small surprise never materialised.We were assured our room was quiet with no feedback from previous residents! The camouflaged rail track opposite ran goods trains in the night with numerous waste clearance trucks and delivery trucks making noise outside our front facing room from 5 am onwards! The room cleaning was erratic, dust on pipes and picture frames, towels not cleared and toiletries not replaced.The evening turn down a farce ( one small chocolate one night, none the next) when we spoke to the manager he seemed disinterested and made a few perfunctory actions, but no follow up actions or genuine apologies. What a pity for what is/ has been a top notch hotel that other than the good breakfast and service, notably Stephan, and it’s valet assistant its standards seem to be slipping.

Charm, location

The employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel was conveniently located to dinning, shopping and entertainment. I would stay there next time i visit Montreal.

Fabulous hotel. Staff and amenities were a grade above. We had one of the nicest evenings of our trip on the rooftop bar/restaurant. Wonderful view of the river and perfect location. The only inconvenience was that the property only had one elevator which could be a bit congested.

The staff were all incredibly accommodating, polite, knowledgeable and helpful for our entire stay. We loved the food and ambiance at both restaurants. Dominic at Gaspard recommended the perfect food and beverage combinations for us.daily. We truly didn’t want to leave. Many thanks.

Wonderful staff, perfect location, and the room was very comfortable (loved the bed, plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, attentive housekeeping). Bike rental at the end of the block and on the bike path along the St. Lawrence River!

Excellent hotel in great location

Great Little Boutique Hotel in old Montreal. Had a room with a view on the River and port. We loved eating on the roof Terrasse- open until September. Great breakfast with excellent croissants. Gym is 5 min walk away. Would definitely come back!

We booked on Expedia but the hotel called to say they had been full for a month and the website was not current. The hotel however went beyond expectation in trying to find us a room. A last minute cancelation allowed us a room. Cant not say enough about the wonderful hotel staff!

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were attentive to all our requests and done in a timely fashion. Highly recommend this venue right in the center of Old Montreal.

The Auberge is in a great location, yet sound proof so you don’t hear any of the city sounds when you are in your room. I gave the facilities four stars because there is no on site fitness room and because you may have to traverse some stairs to some of the rooms despite there being an elevator. This could be a problem for some people if you don’t know to ask for a room on a level right off the elevator.

Our room in the main building was beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the lofts a block away on our return trip through Montreal. It was a bit challenging due to no elevator and two flights of stairs but the hotel valet carried our bags for us. Breakfast in the hotel and the steakhouse across the street were wonderful. Staff was attentive all the way around.

The room ambiance was good. Ate at 2 of the 3 restaurants and had very good experiences. Staff was great, available without being overdone and helpful when wanted.

This is a lovely hotel. Your staff is the most friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I would have is that you need to have a small handrail on the wall by the stairs into the bathroom. I was coming down the stairs and missed the bottom step. I fell and broke my toe. A small handrail might have prevented this accident. Other than that, it was all lovely.

The hotel is great but what the reviews don’t cover is that the hotel is next to restaurants and bars with that comes loud music especially if you are trying to sleep and not one of the people partying outside

We were on the top floor and the air conditioning was lacking and the room was noisy due to the longest train we had ever seen. But everything else was just perfect.

The air conditioning did not work properly. We were sweating all night. The bed was so soft that it made us very stiff and sore. The streets in old Montreal smelled of sewer gases. Not pleasant at all.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was clean and quaint, and the staff was amazing at tending to my every need.

The staff were gracious and helpful and friendly. Sadly, that did not make up for the complete lack of sleep due to the non-stop noise (think yelling, screaming, dogs barking) coming from the street. And traffic was so congested, it made going and coming a nightmare. Not a wink of sleep in two nights. Utterly miserable. Also, the room and bathroom could have been cleaner (dead flies in the bedroom area that just stayed on the floor the whole stay).

Room overlooked the river. Although it was right next to the elevator, it was surprisingly quiet. I do wish they set up their morning coffee service earlier.
