The property met all my requirements. A word of warning there are two properties so make sure you go to the correct address. I didn't and went to the wrong hotel. Outside the hotel is very vibrant with nice eating and drinking places. Shops, supermarket and pharmacy in the same street. Close to the city center. Absolutely no complaints.
I had a great room but it was right off the lobby so every cough, sneeze, conversation and front door slamming was heard! I only had breakfast one morning and it was a good selection.
Nothing was too much trouble. My room was large, clean and comfortable.
Arrived 1am to find the bed nor the towels for 3rd person were not ready. Sink leaked. Soaked bath mat not replaced. The very young staff spoke no English at all. Photos looked better than the real thing ie the entrance, foyer, room. Dated decor and shabby. Bathroom radiator didn't work so nothing could dry. It rained and all our clothes and shoes were wet. A disappointing stay.
Centrally Located
The hotel is located about 5min walk from the nearest metro. Many restaurants and bars around the hotel. The hotel had character. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was not included and cost approx $6 which was not too bad. Complimentary coffee and tea. Airconditioning, fridge and TV were provided
Good value for the price. Room had areas needed to be repaired. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Top property with very big rooms. Staff was friendly.
Housekeeping and cleanliness can use some improvements - e.g. replacing broken coax cable for the TV, removing stuffs from the shower stall left behind by the previous hotel guest before the next guest's arrival.
The hotel is very well located close to Piata Romana and Calea Victoriei. Although it's in the middle of the hustle and bustle, the hotel is quiet and safe. This was despite some very noisy guests who kept slamming doors at all times. It's very well connected to public transport and just 8 miles from Henri Coanda airport. I'm giving it 4 stars because the economy room is pretty dark with only a small window opening to a well, and it would benefit of little maintenance. I've got no complaints about the breakfast, the communal areas and the staff, who are very friendly, accommodating, and speak fluent English.
Excellent property with great staff , I would recommend visitors from abroad with no knowledge of Bucharest. Great location between Romana Square and University Square .
Really nice location
Very central location, good rooms, clean, nice firm mattresses.
We’re very happy with our stay here
Very kind staff
The promotion photos does not match with the real situation of the room
first night the ac didnt work in one of the rooms. the fd agent try very hard and finally get it to work. my fridge also didnt work and they replace it the next day.we found trash from previous guest in the basket. service was good and breakfast option was good too.
Located centrally in Bucharest within walking distance to the Atheneum for concerts or the Enescu Festival, and close by to many places of interest renders the resident almost independent of sometimes hard to find taxi cabs. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good the personnel pleasant and knowledgeable
I was there Mon Jun 17 & Tues Jun 18. I thought I had a room with 2 beds instead I had a bed & a sofa. no sheets for the sofa. Very inconvenient the first night .
Boutique Hotel Amzei is a great place to stay in the center of Bucharest. This is the second time that I have stayed there and will stay there on my next trip. The staff is helpful and available whenever needed. It is within a short walk of many of the important sights, a number of restaurants and stores.
The Boutique Hotel Amzei is a very nice hotel in the Center of Bucharest within a couple blocks of the Royal Palace Art Museum, the concert hall, and many restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed there previously and will do so in the future.
Excellent service, great location, some problems with Wifi
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel! Good food and great experience!
Lovely hotel. About 20 mins walk to the old town and handy for public transport. The hotel is very pleasant with great staff who were always very obliging when we needed help/assistance with anything.
Nice hotel, excellent service
Wonderful management, wonderful location! Would and did recommend it to anyone!
Centrally located
The hotel is located in a central area, close to shops, restaurants and a supermarket. The bed was very comfortable. There is an elevator, but first you need to go up four steps without railing at the entrance. This may be a problem for guest that have difficulty walking.
Home away from home
Friendly and helpful staff handled all requests expeditiously. Wifi connection was short of robust and stable.
Great staff. Very helpful! Good for someone who has never been there before.
Nice and friendly hotel.
This is a very nice, cosy and friendly hotel. Our family (3 people) had a very nice experience staying at this hotel. On and off (we took a couple of trips outside Romania) we spent approx. two weeks at this hotel. We'll stay again at this hotel next time we are in Bucharest.
great location with essential parking. but -
great location with essential parking place. the stuff were very helpful but, no one thought that some times the guests would be - not so young. and they would need help to carry the luggage. in this boutique hotel there is no ramp and all the female stuff looked when my husband ( who is not so young) carried the suitcases to the top of the stairs. the only male stuff was in breakfast room, watching and taking the plates away the second we finished to eat. when you pay for your stay you're expecting help. this was the only hotel, during our stay in Romania , that the stuff looked at us and didn't even ask if we need help. it may sound petty , but when you pay over 100 euro for night , you expect perfect service.
Good Location big rooms comfort friendli staff TV small Internet poor Cables No reception Dining room in the basement
Super convenient hotel w onsite parking
The late night check in staff were super helpful and very pleasant. It was nice walking in late at night and having such great service!
Well managed hotel, exceeds expectations
Staff is helpful and friendly, very much personalized service, felt very welcome.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicious.
A wonderful but shabby hotel
The room was small for the price - equivalent hotels nearby offer larger rooms and it fairly tired - for example, the sink in my bathroom had a large crack. Breakfast is simple but was not comparable with other hotels nearby. The location is excellent and with a modernization program this hotel will surely become better value.
5mins walk to designer shops and cultural sites
Really nice and close to good shops, significant monuments and buildings, walk a little further to get to the old town and all it has to offer. Room was very big and nicely furnished, the quality and cleanliness of the room and hotel and grounds was of a very high standard. I would certainly stay again.
Perfect small upmarket hotel in downtown Bucharest
Superior reception desk gave a great welcome and information. Above average room size and facilities providing relaxing room comfort. Breakfast buffet was excellent with option for perfectly cooked eggs. The hotel was within easy walking distance of city center, yet in a quiet street. Definitely will return next time.
Faultless
Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms spotless, breakfast excellent. Short walk from metro, plenty of shops/restaurants nearby, quiet street. Can 100% recommend.
Quiet, secluded hotel in Bucharest
The staff at the Hotel Amzei were welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a lovely hotel which is perfectly placed for exploring Bucharest. I would thoroughly recommend it.
nice people room poor - no windows
GREAT TOWN NICE PEOPLE GOOD BARS AND RESTARAUNTS
Camera grazie e luminosa. Letto comodo con doppi cuscini. Bagno ampio e buona fornitura asciugamani.
A localização do hotel é ótima.
läget mitt i stan, rummen stora rymliga, fräsha. Vacker byggnad, 1800/1900 sekelskifte. Nära till restauranger.
Conforme à ce que j’attendais
Nice Hotel with very friendly staff and close to National Art Gallery of Romania and Old City take 15 min. Walk. A bit difficult to find due to that outside of Hotel there is no signs pointing towards the entrance of the Hotel. Excellent breakfast

This hotel was the last stop on my multi-country European trip. Initially, I was happy with the room, but over time, things got worse and worse. First, I realized there was only one plug in the room, and it was in an awkward spot. Then the sink broke, and instead of fixing it, they just left it as it was. By the third night, I realized there was no heat in my room — the heat only comes on from a central system for one hour. I woke up shivering and eventually got sick. On top of that, I noticed the cleaning staff opened my window and left it open, making the room even colder. I reported these issues, but none of the staff could offer a solution until the very last day, when they finally brought a small heater to my room. The cleaning staff was also quite aggressive and very loud, even when guests were trying to sleep in the late morning or afternoon. Overall, the room itself was okay, and the front desk staff was friendly, but they were unable to properly address the problems I encountered. The cleaning staff’s behavior was particularly rude. The hotel’s location and price were great, but unfortunately, everything else was disappointing.
