We absolutely loved our stay at Atrapasuenios. The family suit had 2 rooms with easy access to the patio and the pool. Convenient location close to thdd we beach and the town.

Amazing oasis

Nice close-to the beach hotel, with swimming pool to take a dip. It might be better called hostel, than hotel. Food is delicious and prepared at the moment.

Nice small place very close to the beach

While there were a few hiccups when I arrived a little early for check in, everything was good after! I’d stay there again!

Nice hotel

This hotel is very small, which I prefer. I stayed in one of the triple balcony rooms which had a lovely vaulted ceiling and private balcony with hammock. The room itself was set up nicely with a built-in shelving system for our stuff and a large bathroom tiled in natural terracotta and mosaic tiles. It was clean by Costa Rican standards.. Atrapasuenos offers a parking lot in back and a shortcut entrance towards the beach right in front of one of the best surfing spots and some tidepools. Breakfast is served in a covered courtyard, but served in Tico time so don't go if you're in a rush! Wi-fi was unreliable unfortunately. The hotel is located very close to the popular Banana Beach restaurant and you can hear their music which was kind of annoying. Also you can hear other guests through the walls. The location is right off the main road which is convenient, but is very dusty during dry season. The staff who I communicated with were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to go and setting up some transportation!

Good choice for Santa Teresa

One of the better Costa Rica hotels I've stayed in, despite some glitches. Breakfast was good and service courteous. Had some technical difficulties, but all worked out. The convenient location can't be beat if you want to be in Santa Teresa.

Pretty bad

Staff has attitude...safe don't work...no one in the office after 10pm...linen in bad shape and smelling...shower has no water pressure...shower towels are as bad as you can imagine...do not pay for breakfast...200 yards you will find breakfast twice as big for $7 ...pool water ....bad...no telephone inside the rooms...they are eco-friendly so would change bath towels and linen every 3 days !!!! Shall I say more? 2 stars would be generous ...please consider this review

Been a disabled combat veteran from the US.ARMY I can say I lived in places where you just can't be picky. That said a hotel is not a hotel if they do not have something simple as a telephone interview the rooms to request for help in case of emergencies or simply to request a wake up call. This place is sadly a sack of lies Trust me and thank me later ...if you still can cancel do so. Always request a receipt for what you pay for in a hotel it's the law and it must have the business name with Cédula Jurídica = Tax ID receipt When you made a reservation ask first if they have a telephone interview every room, request a tax ID receipt and ask how old the hotel is... Ask if the safe actually works, if breakfast is at least from 7am to 9:30am. If they change towels everyday and linen too!!! Not every 3 days !!!! By far this is the worst stay ever Trust me I am a Soldier who is not picky but I have a wife that is. Bottom line this is a 2 star hostel and not a 3 star hotel. They take pride saying that Americans never ask for a government control invoice and that must be changed. The owner is not an American much less an American Indian!!!! They are from Colombia and the way this seems it can easily misguided you to brake the Costa Rican laws ...money laundry is a matter where many people do shady business...not saying this is the case. Trust me this is not a hotel. Next time you made a reservation you must request a invoice that has the Cédula Jurídica, they must have a phone ..

Great place

Great place! You can walk to almost everything. Just don't expect strong water pressure. Will definitely stay here again!

Dream Location

When we pulled up to the hotel we were not expecting what was behind the walls. It was a beautiful, serene oasis. We were greeted in a very friendly matter and shown to our beautiful rooms. it is a small hotel and you feel like it is your private getaway not seeing many other people.

Okay Hotel in Dust Haven

We had a rough go of it here. We made reservations through hotels.com, which said free cancellation until two weeks prior to arrival. But after making reservations, I got an email stating we must pay in one week a 50% deposit to keep our reservation. Upon arrival we could not get inside, as the front door and entry gate were locked and nobody to let us in for 5-10 minutes. Then our room could not be secured because the sliding door to our patio area was extremely difficult to lock and open. Then we discovered the large sliding window to the bathroom had a broken latch, which would have made it easy for some to enter. And finally our lockbox didn’t work either. After over an hour we were offered a different room, which ended up being the room that was more in-line with what we originally reserved. Breakfast was okay, but more on the minimum side. The beach is beautiful. The city is a DUST PIT with no infrastructure (dusty rock roads, few sidewalks, open sewers). Considering one must drive several hours on very poor roads to get here, there is a very low payback for your effort (unless you crave surfing and dust).

Quiet and private right next to the beach.

Very nice and clean room with off street secure parking. The room comes with breakfast and there are five options. However, the serving size of each option was very small. Pleasant staff, but sometimes there is a little attitude. The staff will help you plan activities, with a commission. Bring cash! Hardly anyone accepts credit cards in this area.

Expensive

Over all a nice place. Rates are high, but that seems the norm in costa now!!

Casa en la playa para disfrutar y relajarse

La estadía fue muy agradable. Desde que llegamos fueron muy amables. La habitación es muy cómoda y espaciosa. La terraza tiene mecedoras y una hamaca y es un area excelente para relajarse. El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación cerquita de la playa, buenos restaurantes, comercios u supermercados.

Bien ubicado, buena relación precio beneficio. Esta muy cerca de Banana Beach uno de los club con vista a la playa mas bonitos que conocimos . Esta en la calle principal , tener cuidado con los carros y motos, ya que el tráfico es un caos. Lo único malo es las toallas en muy mal estado y el baño viejito. Pero ideal si pasas todo el día fuera y lo usas solo para descansar y dormir .

Atrapasueños en Santa Teresa, un must be.

Una opción equilibrada para estar en Santa Teresa, las instalaciones se mantienen bien cuidadas, personal atento y amable, con una muy buena ubicación (restaurantes y playa) y con una muy buena relación de calidad vs precio. Son tres veces ya las que hemos estado y volveríamos.

Sorry, not a good place.

The room (Nr 7) had a very moldy smell, especially the bed. The doors to kitchen and bathroom only closed when pulled close with force, the kitchen door got stuck various times. The kitchen sink had a problem. The walls are extremely thin, we heard every word from our neighbors and also their exact TV program. Above us seemed to live long term renters whose dog was out on the balcony barking and howling when they were away. Also, the WiFi didnt work in our room during the entire stay. Someone was meant to fix it "in an hour" and never came. The hotel doesn't look as nice as in the pictures.

La chambre réservée, Confort Double Room était loin d'être celle présentée sur le site, pour 130$ la nuit nous espérions un minimum de propreté. Les draps étaient tachés, des cheveux dans le lit une douche qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement (pression d'eau et calcaire) idem pour le robinet de la salle de bain. Le grand lit et en fait 2 matelas recouverts d'un drap king size. Nous avons séjourné dans un hôtel à 50$ la nuit qui était largement plus confortable. Bref, les prestations ne sont pas du tout celles présentées sur le site hôtels.com !

Pas recommandé

Le site est enchanteur, piscine et proche de la mer par contre la propreté des chambres laissent à désirer et j'ai eu un lit au draps sales. Les chambres dégagent aussi des odeurs désagréables. Et surtout à noter que Santa Teresa est difficile d'accès et les routes de gravier laissent de la poussière partout dans la ville. Donc, en général je ne recommande pas cet hôtel et surtout à ce prix (150$ la nuit).

PESIMO

Realmente mi experiencia NO FUE GRATA. Me dieron una habitación de hasta abajo la numero 8 muy reducida, oscura, con una mini ventana que tapan plantas y el ventanal de la entrada pero muy oscura. En la reservación NUNCA comentan o no viene que se comparte la cocina con otro cuarto, lo cual es incomodo ya que, a pesar de tener la puerta de la habitación cerrada, se e u haba perfecto que aventaban cosas y azotaban la puerta del refrigerador ,dejaban la luz prendida y tuve que salir para apagarla. La ventana del baño da a la cocina. La limpieza es pésima, el día que llegamos nos salió una araña la cual se murió y ahí estuvo por 3 días, la tiraron al piso y no la barrieron. Ofrecían artículos de tocador o baño y solo había jabón. Se habló en recepción para lograr o tratar un cambio y no nos ayudaron en nada. Incluso me comunicaron con la administradora la cual en lugar de ayudarnos se molestó, enojo y me sugirió que cancelara, que lista yo pierdo todo porque no hay reembolso y ella gana todo. PÉSIMO y lo peor fue que iba con más familia y les entregaron primero su cuarto, muy bonito, iluminado, amplio y luego el nuestro NO LO RECOMIENDO NI SOLO PARA DORMIR. La cama olía a orines no se con que lavan las sabanas.

Hotel limpio y conveniente si buscas ahorrar

El Hotel es muy limpio y conveniente si lo que se busca es ahorrar y estar cerca de la Playa (a 50 metros de la playa).

Hotel muy cercano a la playa.

Es un Hotel muy tranquilo, ideal para familias o parejas. El desayuno estuvo muy rico pero inician muy tarde 8:00 am. La limpieza de la habitación es mediocre, el piso, ventanas que dan al balcón mal limpiado. Las lámparas muy empolvadas. La verdad esperaba más por el valor del hospedaje pagado.

Comfortable hotel with very friendly staff

We had a great stay of five nights at the hotel. Rooms are spacious, restaurantarea enjoyable (theres a common, clean and proper kitchen that can be used), pool is clean, its close to the beach and some good restaurants. Best thing was however the service and the friendliness of the staff&owner. They really did their best to help us (including early breakfast the last morning, when we had an early departure).

Hotellet var helt okej. Frukost var medelmåttigt men bra kaffe. Det var svårt att ställa in värmen på duschen. Det alternerade mellan kokhett och kallt. Fanns några amerikanska tv kanaler. Wifi var sådär i rummet. Strömmen kom och gick ibland på natten vilket var irriterande då ACn slogs på och av med ett pip. Gardinerna var ljusa så blev ljust tidigt på morgonen. Sängarna var helt okej. Kylskåp fanns. Vi bodde i rum 1. Personalen var mycket trevlig.

Dejligt hotel

Fantastisk hotel. Boede i en stor lejlighed 2 voksne og 3 børn og vi havde masser af plads. Elskede den kæmpe terrasse med hængekøjen. Skøn pool og meget tæt på stranden.

Ótima opção em Santa Teresa

Bom hotel. Perto de tudo, colado à praia. Equipe atenciosa. Café da manhã farto e saboroso. Quartos amplos, com bom chuveiro e conforto.

En general el.hotel es bastante cómodo y esta cerca a la playa. Las opciones q ofrece de desayuno son buenas y en suficientes porciones, buena presentación. La piscina esta cómoda.
