I was really happy with this hotel. It was in a very central part of the Sea Point neighborhood of Cape Town. The hotel room was very nice. The sinks were a little bit slow to drain, but other than that I have no complaints. Parking was easy and secure behind a gate. I would definitely recommend this place to people who want to visit the area, but have never been. Just a note that this hotel is near a elementary school and is therefore noisy in the mornings.
Great place
Beautiful stay!
Be careful what you book for!!!!
We booked in the penthouse expecting our room to be wonderful. However we were shocked. This is the smallest room in the complex. It has a dinky bathroom with a tiny toilet. There is no shelves in the room. It is really quiet ridiculous actually. We have stayed at this hotel often. We also had a problem with our very very noisy neighbour.
I was pleased with this property and did a return visit to this property during my stay in South Africa. It is clean and comfortable and close to SeaPoint beach. The area at night, however, was quite sketchy but overall ok. Mojo Market is right across the street and has a wide array of food options. The units are set up like a suite with a stove and balcony so that was a plus. The bathroom was a bit small but the rest of the unit was very spacious and the bed was very spacious.
The property was great. Everything was clean and comfortable and stylish. However, the property is next to an elementary school. Enough said.
The layout of the room made it crowded. There was no TV in the bedroom. Where the TV should have been there was a large cupboard that should have been moved to the living room area.
The Atlantic Affair is our first choice for our CT stay. No frills but lovely beds with clean room and bathroom. Staff bery frinedly and some go out of their way to please. We had a delightful stay.
It’s good value for money
They should put a couch in the lounge not very comfortable with 2 chairs. Basin in bathroom not practical at all
Great stay for a breakaway!
We always stay at Atlantic Affair when we do a weekend to Cape Town. The position is excellent. Close to the beach for a beautiful early morning walk, right next door to Bootlegger coffee shop for great coffee/breakfast. Opposite Mojo food market for great easy dinner, and the mattresses are fantastic!! Off road parking also a bonus!
The hotel was located close to the local shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A minor negative is the limited number of parking spaces. Overall it is a great hotel for travellers on businesses or holiday.
Great staff in a well located hotel close to restaurants and the beach.
Great location near the ocean, near shopping and transportation. Great space in our penthouse and lovely large balcony.
The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. The hotel didn't have much in the way of amenities. At night it was quite noisy. The door lock didn't work well. The fridge leaked the first day.. I Have never stayed in a boutique hotel before. Maybe i don't understand the concept and my expectations were out of wack.
Lovely
It was amazing, the service was great.Loved the big bed.Staff were very friendly and helpful
Amazing as allways. Love staying in this hotel.
Good location. Nice facilities. Amazing service and staff who answered all of our questions and were extremely helpful
We were made very welcome upon arrival including a welcoming drink whilst information about the hotel and the surrounding areas was provided. Safe & secure environment and the surrounding area. Facilities were very clean and of a high standard and I would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return.
Fantastic penthouse
Amazing views, free parking onsite. Good quality bed, sheets and towels. Toiletries are wonderful. I did miss a shower cap as there is only a showerhead from the ceiling downwards so your hair will get wet if you shower. The geyser in the cupboard next to the bed is a bit noisy, you will hear when somebody else is in the shower. No Nespresso machine. No tonic in the fridge but otherwise fridge well stocked. We did ask to two single beds but when we came in the room the bed was a king size. Not a big problem but why give the choice twin or king if they make it a king anyway? Will definitely recommend and return.
Excellent service. Very friendly helpful staff. Arrived early but the staff was there waiting, made us a hot drink. Room ready. Nothing was to much trouble for them, booked trips, order taxis. Room even had slippers and dressing gown’s.
While only a block from the beach, The hotel is in need of a major renovation. No breakfast and limited front desk help. More like a hostel without the free Tea/Coffee. The sink in bath was totally inefficient and should be replaced immediately!
Good location, well equipped room, service was great.
The room was nice and definitely clean. The sink design isn’t super useful and our toilet seat was cracked which was not comfortable. The hotel is in a good location and it’s easy to get around Cape Town from there. Would recommend.
A true Gem
This lovely Boutique Hotel is perfectly located within walking distance from Shops, Restaurants and the promenade. Parking on the property is also a bonus
Amazing...!
The place was so amazing, just the limited parking space but otherwise we would return at any given day we visit Cape Town
Amazing boutique hotel in very convenient location.
Amazing little hotel
Loved this place. Once of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. Would return for sure.
Lovely Hotel, perfect location
The hotel was in a perfect location. Near to all the local facilities. Sea Point was vibrant and lovely. Loads of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Near the sea.
Best location
The Atlantic Affair hotel was very conveniently located, staff were fantastic we really enjoyed our stay.
nicely appointed room
great stay. poor tv which was just too small given it was a decent sized room. didn't like the neighborhood
Waterfront area of Sea Point
Got a great price on a room, but offered no view as it was on first floor. The shower did not drain adequately and in a very short while bathroom floor soaked. When I checked in had a difficult time getting a Wi Fi network. The morning I left the Wi Fi went down in the entire building as did a lot of the electrical power. Myself and another guest had to leave out a rear service vehicle gate as electrical power to entry gate was down.
Very nice
Lovely hotel, nice people, great location, very comfortable bed.
Great Boutique Hotel Close to Beach
The Atlantic Affair is a great little hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is security staff at night. The hotel is beautiful and close to restaurants and the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will recommend to friends.
9 day stay
Hotel was in a good location, staff were friendly and hotel rooms were clean and spacious. However the wifi was not always working, the hotel staff were available till 8pm and then we would be left with a security guard.
Ideal for a few nights
Simple check in, really friendly staff. Stopped off for a couple of beers and as a first-timer to Capetown got all the local information from them.
Great Place in Sea Point, Close to the Beach
Our stay was lovely. Natasha and staff were friendly and gracious. Natasha was especially patient and kind. The room was wonderful lovely with every accommodation afforded. The only challenge was the WiFi, which was unreliable and inconsistent. Our music kept going in and out, or quitting altogether. Our phones suffered the same problems. The neighborhood immediately surrounding is not pretty, but is full of life and many conveniences. Let's not forget that the beach is two blocks away! Overall, it was quite a lovely stay.
Excellent African Affair
I have stayed at Atlantic Affair on numerous occasions and have always had an excellent experience
Atlantic Affair Sea Point
Had an amazing four nights. Natasha and Alice looked after us so well. Sea Point is a perfect base to go into Cape Town. Bootlegger on corner for coffees. Red and blue route buses stop on main road. Used public swimming pool on sea front .
Great location very comfortable
Overall very good. Floors not always swept but bathroom clean. Could really do with some form of shade on penthouse balcony
Fantastic
Fantastic will definitely be back when in Cape Town
Great stay, really friendly staff, great location.
Gorgeous boutique hotel, prime location
Found my stay to be an extremely pleasant one. Hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean, tidy and modern. Location is unbeatable in the heart of Sea Point
Great Cape Town Experience
This hotel was a really good first experience of Cape Town, so well situated, close to the seafront and hop on hop off bus stop. Local cafes and restaurants were excellent. The staff went way beyond what was expected in helping us make the most of our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely, except for the view. Will definitely go back for a lazy me time weekend.
Not a Hotel
very disappointing. the neighbourhood was very unappealing. Shower was ok, but the wash basin was a disaster. My small hands couldnt fit under the tap without touching the basin. It is definitely nota a hotel, more an apartment. self catering with no stove, no fridge. The rug in the bedroom not practical for hygiene. Couldnt wait to leave.
Quick Stopover in Cape Town
Natasha in reception was lovely and the hotel was extremely clean, staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay there again!
Great self catering stopover
Very comfortable, close to restaurants and SeaPoint promenade. I did not realise it was self catering, would have been helpful to know before I arrived, but very nice room, nicely situated. Would stay there again
Great check in!
It was lovely... We received a glass of wine at check in and the room was huge. No view or pool but very clean and nice room.
Money Well Spent!
The hotel is very well located in Sea Point with coffee shops, supermarket, gym and sea front at a stone throw. The staff is really good and 110% helpful. My room had the biggest bed EVER! It was tidied up and towels changed on a daily basis! It is money well spent!
A great weekend away combined with work
Everything you need for a short break or business trip. Taxis and buses more than enough. A very pleasant and luxurious stay. Just doesn't have a sea view as the add tries to imply.
Great place to stay
Hotel is just outside of city center so it was an easy starting point to wherever we wanted to go. Location also provided a quiet stay. Staff was superb. My only issue was that the only tv was tiny and in the bedroom. The idea of a suite, to me, is to have sewerage space while other is resting.
Will definitely be back!
Lovely hotel with attention to detail.
Beautiful hotel across from the beach. We had a sea facing room on the first floor with a balcony. The little touches, like toasted marshmallows on your pillows, the great staff, plenty tea and coffee facilities, the gorgeous lounge etc. make your stay a wonderful experience. The breakfast is exceptional. I would definitely stay here again
Only downside to the hotel was the size of the TV and channel offering
Don't think just book
The best things about the hotel is the service of the staff. I stayed for three nights and they always go above and beyond. Great stay highly recommend.
Fantastic stay. Not much of a view out on the balcony, but the suite itself was wonderful. Spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and all the amenities we could need. Staff was friendly. The hotel itself was in a nice, safe, quiet area just a couple of blocks off the beach. Also located close to a grocery store which was great because we just bought food to cook ourselves and saved some money.
Modern hotel
Beautifully designed rooms with separate lounge and bedroom. Large balcony with views to the ocean. The bed was very comfy and large. The bathroom was small but modern. Bath robes and slippers were provided.
Refreshingly Beautiful
I went there with a friend and everything was perfect. The only thing i found as worrying was why do they only change the bedding every 4th day? I am used to hotels changing it daily. Other than that the hotel, the room and the service was great and we had parking so we didn't need to park on the street.
Welcoming
Staff very helpful, great location, short walk to the sea.
Nice but mind the neighbors
Good hotel, loved the workers, but loud neighbors on one night.
Great stay
My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights - wonderful - quiet - secure - friendly staff from Reception to night watchman. Thank you
Excellent boutique hôtel close to beach and shops
We loved staying here from the get-go. Arriving just before midnight was not a problem as we were shown to our apartment by a friendly security guard. The kitchen facilities were handy but with cafes close by we ventured out for our meals. We were delighted with our welcome chocolates and bottles of water and found the huge oversized bed really comfy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and we organised a day tour through them. With the hop on hop off bus route two streets away we found the location excellent. What a great idea to offer complimentary coffee making facilities in the lounge off the reception area! Wifi in our apartment meant that we could stay in touch with loved ones across the globe during our stay. This apartment was excellent value for the price and we would most definitely stay here again - and recommend it highly.
Just what was needed
Lovely stay very comfortable beds room had all amenitys that was needed and the receptionist was very warm and friendly will be back
It was a great experience. The hotel was really nice, people were very nice and helpful. It is located in a great aera ( shops, restaurants, post office, bus, taxi, beach). I loved this hotel and will stay there next time I m in Capetown !
Chic Cool and Comfortable
Chic Cool and comfortable. Excellent location.
Great service
Had some problems with no hot water to the room. We were immediately moved to another room, and given a partial refund. Things like this happen, and we were very impressed with how it was handled.
Excellent
Absolutely loved it definitely going back
Little gem
Great hotel in good location
The place to stay in Cape Town
This is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Cape Town. The staff is phenomenal - they make all the difference. They will ensure that you have a good time. The facility is in very good shape. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Strongly recommended.
ENJOYABLE STAY & UPMARKET APARTMENTS
RECEPTIONIST VERY FRIENDLY & HELPFUL & INFORMATIVE CLASS ACCOMODATION
Wonderfull stay
Wonderfull stay in this self-catering hotel. The small kitchen is the perfect accomdation. Very confortable bed. Hotel with style, really interesting art and decoration. Wish I could have stayed longer and come there in the first place. Great restaurants around.
A first choice establishment
Excellent hotel at a surprisingly moderate price. Super personal welcome and attention from all staff including the night watchman! Great entertaining area for fellow guests and an honesty bar to help things along. Nothing was too much trouble to arrange and with very comfy rooms, we could not fault the stay. If I am back in the Cape this would be my first choice.
Great place to stay, close to everything.
We had a great 4 day stay at Atlantic Affair at the start of our trip to South Africa. Secure car parking was readily available, and it was easy to drive around the area of Seapoint. It is a 3 minute walk to the seafront, a 5 minute walk to the bus stop for the open-top tourist bus and there are restaurants, shops & supermarkets at the end of the road. The staff were wonderfully warm, welcoming & friendly. The room was large, well furnished and very comfortable.
The hotel was quite lovely. They provided free WiFi, excellent facilities, and we're very attentive to our needs. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the Beach and very close to bus stops and restaurants.
Perfect hotel in Cape Town
One can't wish for a more central and comfortable hotel. Will definitely return on my next trip to Cape Town.
Weekend brake
Everything brill staff very helpfull nothing to complain about
Great
Very nice and friendly Will stay there again.
Great experience
Very charming, convenient and clean with great service. One of my best experiences in Cape Town.
Excellent hotel in Central Cape Town
We were both very impressed with our stay. Firstly its in a great central location along the coast, plenty of places close by to eat. However the hotel was by far the highlight, very modern and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, plenty of parking and 24h security. We will definitely stay again on our next trip.
Highly recommended
We stayed for 4 nights and found it to be excellent value for money. The service very friendly and the room spacious. The only criticism is that the safe was too small to put any valuables in except for passports. It would be great to increase the size of the safe to accommodate a laptop or iPad etc.
A Hidden Gem in Sea Point
Great boutique place and within proximity of the beach area, shops and main roads. Clean, safe and secure. Good wardrobe size, safety deposit box, and kitchen facility. Bathroom needs more soaps. View from balcony is limited but it offers adequate privacy. Breakfast would be nice if available. Place is quiet as it is a bit secluded, just right to settle in after a busy day touring the lovely town. The beach and public pools are within walking distance. A big plus for me.
Apartment hotel in convenient location
The staff are great, the room has everything you would expect and the bed was very comfortable. I felt very safe and and secure and will definitely stay here again.
Hotel close to the beach and town swimming pools.
It was nice experience and nothing disappointed our expectations during stay in this hotel. Sympathetic and hospitable staff always ready for your service in any requests.
quick stop in CT
loved the good quality sheets...room surrounding was very noisy around 6am!!
Sea Point (waterfront) gem!
We were pleasantly surprised by the Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel - great location; clean, spacious, urban chic rooms; walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner options in the neighborhood, or cook your own food in the apartment suite. We stayed at the Hotel for two nights. The woman at the front desk was immensely helpful with recommendations to superb restaurants, and with getting us tickets to Table Mountain, which saved us at least a couple of hours of standing in line. The hotel has limited parking in the back, which was a huge asset on the tight streets of Cape Town. All in all, a top-notch boutique, executive hotel in a great location!
Great great great
Everything was fabulous
Very clean upmarket Hotel
Pleasantly surprised with the service, amenities and modern interior. To my mind probably the best value for money your could ever buy in the whole of Cape Town
Great place, great service!
The hotel was like new, all the desired accoutrements, great guest service in a safe area in Sea Point. Walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants, and a 5 minute cab ride to the Waterfront, and a few more to downtown Cape Town. I'd stay here again every time!
Excellent hotel -- highly recommended!
I came to Cape Town for 5 nights and was looking for a nice hotel, at a reasonable price, and near the ocean and shops. I was blown away by the Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel in Sea Point. Located 1 block from the ocean and promenade, this hotel is in a great area and safe to walk around. There are several nice restaurants, cafes, and shops right next to it. It is a 30-40 rand (which is ~3 USD) cab ride to the V&A Waterfront area. I was extremely impressed by the staff at this hotel. They were so courteous and friendly that they made me feel like it was one family. For instance, when I came in the evening to check in the day I landed in CPT, the staff immediately went to grab me a cup of water, and then make me a cup of tea since it was a bit chilly. The rooms at the hotel have a stylish, modern look. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Cape Town. I will certainly come back if I visit CPT again!
Excellent, everything was great. The bathroom sink was unusual and a bit hard to use but overall it was very, very good.
Great hotel
I liked it, and I would come again!
Divine boutique hotel!
We loved our stay here. Natasha and Sandra the staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the penthouse suite which has great facilities and a wonderful view.
Cosy comfort get away
I like the modern feel of the rooms and luxurious setting
Excellent service - good location
This boutique hotel provided all we wanted and asked for. The management was exceptional and nothing phased them, even to the extent that when we arrived a day early, late on a Sunday afternoon, they were able to find us the additional space we needed. They were a mine of helpful information about Cape Town and arranged for our son to play a round of Golf at the club of his choice. The same day laundry service was faultless. They are situated in Sea Point, close to the beach and well placed for access to the city centre and to the Waterfront complex. There are ample eating outlets near by and cooking facilities in the rooms. Their strap line is that we arrived as guests and left as friends. I fully endorse the sentiment.
Enjoyed our stay. We really look forward to returning. The staff was excellent and the location was close to everything we wanted to do ...
Good Hotel, Great People
Natasha and Sandra were wonderful with answering questions, helping to plan activities, and generally making us feel at home. Our room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Can't beat this place for the price.
The Propert was very clean. Its actually a flat let. It has a small kitchen with fridge, a table, sofa separate to the bedroom. The only thing I want to call out is it’s very snug especially the shower. The shelf in the shower is to high for short people and no sufficient hooks to hang face clothes or towels. The bath towel is average. For a bigger person (size 12 and up), this be be annoying. Other than that. It was nice and quiet. Mojo Market was on the door step for food and drinks. We didn’t have any issues with the noise levels. Please note Sea point has some homeless people around. They didn’t bother us but just be mindful.
