Fantastic
The breakfast staff was so nice esp a lady name Marina!
Great location, helpful staff, good facilities
Easy, walkable access to the majority of tourist sights in Rome's center, shopping and dining. Definitely need some renovation and better use of the room space (the shower was terrible designed and installed). Be prepared to use the stairs as the lift is small, slow, and only one.
Is our second time at this hotel hotel and we really loved. The rooms are renovated bigger and nicer. I love that It’s a short walk to the Vatican and all the gift shops around the area… The restaurant is good and the rooftop has incredible views that makes this visit so worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommend this place to all my families and friends who visit Rome! :)
Overall had good experience. Location is 10 out of 10, walking distance from Vatikan, Castle de Angelo, Piazza Navona, great restaurants and shopping nearby, easy to get a taxi. Roof top restaurant is expensive, service is slow. Breakfast was extra charge but was worth it, food was always fresh and delicious. Room was not cleaned very well when we checked in. Ironing board is rusty and old, iron not working. Staff is very nice and professional. I would stay there again despite little issues due to its conveninet location.
Perfect
Loved the breakfast, gorgeous views from rooftop bar, walkable to Vatican City, & shops. Only inconvenience was no iron in room, but was acomódated with an iron & a room.
Amazing staff. The area is a little far from the old city (only close to the Vatican), but absolutely stunning views from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Super friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurants around the area were amazing. Loved our stay.
Updated rooms; grwat shower. Rooftop restaurant had good variety of food options and a glorious view of the Vatican.
This place was old. Everything worked the staff was was amazing.
The location to Vatican City and Castel San Angelo was exceptional and it was only a short walk back across any of three bridges to what you wanted to see in the old city. Metro was accessible, but an 11 minute walk away from most of the places you might want to go. We chose to walk. While the facilities are somewhat rundown the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was worth having included and the view from the 6th made it even more spectacular. The bar and restaurant were exceptionally expensive so we chose other places to eat near by and in the old city. If you can overlook the old carpet, rust spots in the tub, cracks in the mirrored tile by the bed and the need to keep your window open (experiences we found all over Italy) you will love this hotel. Do be conscious of Expedia’s surge pricing, one of our nights was substantially more expensive than our other five and that was not due to hotel pricing (I checked).
Awful room I stayed at single room. It was quit old and dirty. It because of shower was broken, water leak sound heard all the time. Just a thing for good point is convenient location for the Vatican.
Great staff
We were put in room 407/408 suite for 4 people (1 double bed, 2 singles). We each had 1 pillow that was flat like a pancake throughout the duration of our trip (8 days), the room needed a huge overhaul - misty mirror, dirty walls, dark interior, curtains dusty and heavy, bathroom was small and had no air conditioning, a bit of a safety hazard as toilet and bidet faced eachother with only a narrow space for your legs to walk through then not much room before there was a step especially when 4 people each have a shower one after another, the bathroom heats up, and it becomes misty. Bathroom door drags on the floor so required a hard push inwards, a bit of a task for my elderly mother. Toilet seat was broken. The phone had no dial tone. After reporting most of these incidences to hotel reception, after 5 days, the hotel offered to move us to another room. However, they couldn't guarantee our last 2 nights therefore I did not take them up on the offer. Up to the day we left, they still had not fixed the problems stated but they didn't want to compensate us either. It certainly wasn't worth what we paid for and was excessively overpriced for a rundown 4-star hotel. Breakfast was good however hot items like coffee, bacon and scrambled eggs were often cold as soon as you laid them on the table. They have one decrepit lift. Drainage was bad, gurgling sound after flushing or tap running, with a terrible smell. Overall, I wouldn't ever recommend this hotel. Management are unreliable.
Nice property updated bathrooms and room needs updated furniture
Professional.
Good location for Vatican. Professional staff. Room needed some maintenance (lights, shower flooding bathroom, plugs) and could be updated. Breakfast average bordering on poor. Clean. Terrible and pointless lift - call it and it might arrive at some time - we gave up using it. Rooftop bar lovely and overpriced.
The property is near the museum. Unfortunately, there are stairs to go to the main lobby. I am pregnant, hard to carry luggages and no attendant by the door. Rhe breakfast buffet is not good. There was not even a toaster. Food is cold and many flies during our visit. The breakfast view is excellent but food is very low quality compared to ther hotels who also offer the same breakfast buffet.
Excellent location, sizable rooms, and friendly staff
Lovely picturesque rooftop restaurant and bar (on two floors) with fabulous view of the Vatican. Makes for great photos. The beds were comfortable, a kind of memory foam bed. Rainfall shower. Great for price- I would recommend.
Everything was very good!!
Close to the Vatican but not impressed with rooms. Been to Europe many times and never had to have an actual key for a room. Key had a large tassel attached and was very inconvenient to have to carry around.
This hotel is very close to most of the sights of Rome. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The elevator is very small and slow. I only used it when I had suitcases. The rest of the time I took the stairs. There were a lot of no n-guest that use the elevator for the rooftop bar. The air conditioner only put out hot air. We turned it off and opened the window. I reported this to the front desk and to their credit they did offer me another room. It was the same, very warm. This was April, I can’t imagine August there. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good for European standards.
..
The hotel is very clean, just two blocks away from Vatican City . Morning breakfast very good . The staff very helpful and friendly
This hotel was a rare find! It is within walking distance of the Vatican and nestled in a quiet, comfortable neighborhood with several good restaurants and fun shops. The Les Etoiles restaurant is excellent, and the panoramic view of the city is breathtaking! The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The Hotel Atlante Star was delightful!
Tight & Dated
Beds are tiny for two people and uncomfortable. Internet in rooms is bad and TV did not work. The standard room is old and dated no air in room and also no power sockets to be able to charge devices.
Average
Nice location with a view of the Vatican and Saint Peter’s Basilica
Great location near the Vatican but way too noisy. They had a party going on on Friday night and the loud music didn’t stop til midnight
My 10 year old and I have a nice time staying here, thank you for the services.
friendly staff.
Good location near Vatican and close to everything good food options and easy for transport All round excellent
Hotel is located on the street whereby traffic and vehicular noises. No potable drinking water for guests except to dine in restaurant.
Nice view at the breakfast dining room but the condition of the room is far worse than appeared on ad photos.
This is a wonderful hotel based in the heart of the Vatican, the staff were very friendly and always wanted to help. We’d come and stay again.
Hotel was good but the room was slightly below expected quality and was dated. The air conditioning was hardly working initially and even after they sent someone to fix it it was less than ideal
Good location if you want to be near Vatican City. Exceptional views from Rooftop bar/restaurant. Wish we had know before arrival that we need a reservation in advance to eat there. Was fully booked until 10:30pm for dinner or drinks. After that we had to go to bed for early flight out, before breakfast service. Very nice room/suite. Clean. However, noisy outside window with sirens frequently. Hardest , thinnest pillows that we have ever had in a hotel.
The property was old and outdated. Our shower did not work, no faucets in the tub, just holes. No hardware on the cupboards! Possibly the most disgusting room I’ve ever had and for what you pay, it’s daylight robbery. Do not stay here.
It is located in the best place of Rome. Close to Vatican and at walking distance of Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angelo and Trevi Fountain for example. It is close to at least 10 nice restaurants and shopping options. Nice staff working there.
5 Minutes from St. Peter, breathtaking view from the restaurant
Good location.
It was a little outdated. Needs renovation
I loved the roof garden. Full of beautiful flowers.
Good Hotel excellent location and amazing views.
A well positioned hotel for a long weekend in Rome. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Rooftop bars and restaurant provide magnificent views of Rome. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The property was very nice. It was located close to the Vatican which is the area we wanted to see. The hotel is much older but had a great charm to it. The staff was very friendly, nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would stay there in the future.
Hotel is easy walk from the metro. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My room was large and modern. Super clean. The buffet breakfast upstairs is amazing! The roof deck is amazing! You can sit there have a drink and look at the Vatican. I can’t wait to return
Great views, good service, fab location.
Upgraded us to junior suite for free which was nice! Fantastic view of the vatican from our room. Room was a bit dated but clean. Breakfast was lovely. Fantastic views of rome from the rooftop bar. The bar serves food too but not much choice so better going there if drinks is more what you're after. Location is great turn left and and you see castel saint angelo, turn right and you have the vatican. Within walking distance of pretty much everything. Colloseum is the furthest attraction away and it was around a 40 min walk.
Front desk manager was so very welcoming and helpful. The terrace view is amazing and the service was delightful.
I liked the size of the bedroom but it was very dated and dark with very heavy curtains. The shower did not have a light or shelf’s to put your personal hygiene products. The breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from each morning. The roof garden was lovely, staff were a little slow to come back again once you had been served a drink.
Big advantage of this hotel is location and view from the terrace, for the rest is a big question mark. Still don't understand why it's 4star rating.
Atlante a must
Great location and value for money. Hotel is a bit old but has been refurbished and the room was very good. Roof bar and the restaurant was great and the view eating breakfast was superb.
Solid hotel - great staff that goes above & beyond
The staff at this hotel are amazing. Italian is not my native language however, all the staff was able to help me with questions and guide me to destinations that I inquired about. At one point we brought a wine bottle to the room and regretfully forgot to buy a corkscrew. The gentleman at the front desk allowed me to use a corkscrew and pretty much saved what would have been a very inconvenient situation. If I were visiting Rome again, I would come here again.
Good
The location was terrific. Staff friendly. Rooms were just small.
Service and breakfast were excellent. And the location is perfect and view from the restaurant and roof garden is wonderful. But the room was very compact. And from from my experience, it doesn’t qualify to be a star hotel. The room depicted in the pics was way different than the original. It was a disappointment!
Luggage was stolen... they did nothing to help... talk to the police is all they offered
Nice clean, super location , remodeled rooms very nice , looks like a new hotel
Great location right around the corner from the vatican amazing views from the roof bar, staff were very freindly an helpful.
I had a very
Good location and excellent buffet breakfast. Nice updated bathroom. Comfortable bed.
The staff is phenomenal; they are caring, pleasant, courteous, efficient. They are so nice that I hated to mention anything wrong but I did say my TV displayed an error message to the effect of "weak satellite" and one light bulb was burned out. They fixed it immediately, right that minute even though I told them I could do without both TV and one bulb! Ha! The breakfast buffet was so extensive and delicious that I literally ate a huge breakfast and nothing until dinner every day. I loved being so close to the Vatican. I would stay there again!
The room was very clean. The service at the front desk was excellent. The roof top terrace has an amazing view of the Vatican, however the wait staff was a bit slow during the day. Evening service was excellent.
Close to Vatican
The hotel is in a great location close to the vatican and public transportation. Hotel could use some updates. Nice rooftop terrace.
Door stop behind the door entering bathroom. Was in a clumsy spot. Had to squeeze into bathroom.. Other than that, it was an overall great stay. Beautiful view of St. Peters Basilica Dome in the evening from the rooftop terrace.
Rome shopping visit.
This was our third visit to Rome in seven years but the first time staying in Vatican City. The hotel was old but very convenient in terms of location. We used the Hop on Hop off service but found it to be least informative and useful in comparison to most other EU cities. We were there primarily for shopping this time and food. It was also our port of return from our 14 day trip to Europe. The view from the hotel rooftop was very nice.
Brilliant.
Just a really nice place to stay really. Andreas at the desk was really friendly and happy to help. The view at the top, on the roof terrace was spectacular. Definitely staying there again.
Roof top view is amazing, perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and take in the city.
Old and poor
The location is great but the rooms are really bad, definitely not the standard of a 4 start hotel.
Good location & price
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a small convenience store and restaurants nearby. View from roof was nice. Elevator is very small - barely fit 2 people and 2 large suitcases. Room was a bit awkward with 3 twin beds (thought we'd have a king and a twin). We were were only there less than 24 hrs due to a flight delay so we didn't bother trying to move rooms. Window in bathroom was broken and wouldn't shut, which we informed front desk about but they couldn't get anyone in that night to fix and didn't offer to move us. I would stay there again mainly due to location and price.
We really enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and obliging. Room was spotless and cleaned every day. Roof garden restaurant was beautiful, stunning views of the vatican.
Horrible smells terrible, beds are 50 years old !!!!!!!!!
Everything was lovely... beds super comfy and great bathroom .. most of the staff excellent...taller gentleman with dark hair could smile a little more..excellent hotel I would stay again .... did ask for a room with a view and booked 6 months in advance and my view was a construction site..
Este hotel no es 4 estrellas para mi solo llega 2 no lo recomiendo
Atlante NO Star
The room was called a suit, but it was very small and crowded. The AC didn’t cool properly. I do not recommend it and will not stay there again.
Besides the tiny room, Great location, friendly staff, and beautiful view from the top roof. I would definitely stay there again.!
Great location! Nice breakfast. Stairs at entry should be consistently staffed...
Location was good. Could not get room cool on a hot day!
Beautiful Hotel near the Vatican
Great stay right near Vatican City. Made getting to our tour easy! Also super cute neighborhood that wasn’t too loud or crazy at night like other neighborhoods I’ve stayed in.
Staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious but very old. Excellent breakfast offered in the morning.
Having to haul the luggage up the steps to the lobby was a bit of a challenge . The location, only a couple of blocks from the Vatican, was great. Staff were very helpful especially at the front desk.
Loved the rooftop bar and 360 views of Rome. No face cloths just something that looked like dish towels. Hard to wash your face or body w that in the shower. Coffee horrid but for the views it was worth it.
Had the olden Rome feel and great views from our room. The rooftop bar was stunning. Only slightly negative thing was the shower. Hot water didn't stay on, was hard to get in and out of and was kind of cramped. Other than that, was fabulous. Would stay here again.
Great location but rooms need improvement.
We spent 2 nights at this hotel with my family. Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel is in a great location (near St. Peter’s square), and has a nice roof bar and restaurant with great views. Breakfast, WiFi and service was OK. However, for their promoted hotel star level the room bath and beds needs updating, better lighting and better noise blocking.
Stunning views from the roof terrace
I guess that the price reflected the great position of the hotel in the middle of the city (right next to the Vatican) and the views from the roof terrace were truly amazing. However, for the money we were a little disappointed with the size and facilities in the room, in fact the first room we were given was so dark and had a view of very unsightly flats and air conditioning units so I asked to be moved straight away. To give them their due we did get a slightly better room but still disappointing for the amount of money per night. Drinks were ridiculously expensive and do not get excited about the buffet breakfast it's very basic. Staff were pretty good (bit slow but then they are everywhere in Rome) and overall we enjoyed our stay but would definitely shop around a bit more if we went back again
Great location, and friendly service.
Bedding was a little firm and pillows need replaced, but the hotel although old is very well maintained. The Location could not be better for the Vatican area and ease to get cabs. The rooftop bar was beautiful as was the restaurant. Best view of the Vatican especially at night, just majestic.
Everyone was great
Bella Roma
It was wonderful location with great views. Staff was helpful, friendly, and professional. The rooftop terrace had excellent seating areas to enjoy the breathtaking views and wonders of the eternal city.
Beautifully renovated
We stayed in the newly renovated rooms. Lovely place. The rooftop was being renovated so sadly that was closed.
Excellent location and within walking distance to the Vatican. View from the bar on the roof is brilliant. Breakfast was complimentary and adequate. Unfortunately road noise was audible from our bedroom and room wasn't very sound proof internally either. Guests could often be heard very clearly outside in the landing and this was particularly annoying late in the evening. I found the service on the whole to be very good. Amenities were okay but not great. Shower facilities were a little dated and toilet continuously flushed after being pressed once. This could only be remedied by holding the button until the toilet stopped flushing. Upon checkout we weren't asked how our stay was, which was a little disappointing. Overall our stay was okay.
The property was beautiful and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We only stayed one night but if we ever return to Rome, we will for sure make this our go to place. The view from the roof top was fantastic and the restaurant was perfect.
Beautiful hotel just 5 minutes walk to the Vatican. The front desk staff are fabulous, restaurant staff are polite, best service in Rome. The hotel has a great roof top garden bar/restaurant that has the most beautiful view of the city. We got the biggest suite for our family of 4. Great place, service and price.
Great location, disappointing room
Room was a bit disappointing for the price and stars... Needed some renovation. But the location is perfect.
The good: The roof top garden was beautiful. Breakfast was good. (Included with my stay). Critical: Room on 4th floor was small, not enough outlets, lighting was poor. Bed too small, horrible, old & linens were uncomfortable. Windows didn’t stay open, would slam shut with wind. Area was nice, few shops residential but must be near hospital because sirens frequently. It’s definitly not 4 star. Room was 2 star, hotel grounds/ roof top 3 star. Asked for 2 cans of sprite to take to room from the bar... charged 12 euros! Ridiculous!
Great location, poor breakfast
Breakfast was really poor. Low quality across the board.
It served it's purpose considering it was just a bed and bathroom type room. We expected more considering the pictures we saw while selecting the hotel stay. We spent all of our time seeing the sites while in Roma and only in the hotel when sleeping. Just expected more than what we got for the price. Everything else was great except the the restaurant upstairs with the view was under construction, which we didn't know about until we checked in as well. I would recommend as long as you understand these things.
The service, the view and the location, loved the breakfast bufi
Trip to Rome
The hotel was nice and in a good location, but the jacuzzi bathtub did not work which was disappointing after long days of sightseeing. Beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was very good.
Great location and centre of Rome!
Breakfast could be a lot better, coissants and bacon a must on any breakfast buffet and none here! Also, no English speaking tv channels in the hotel, as night before leaving an earlyish night with a bottle of wine and film would have been perfect, no luck.

Wonderful hotel excellent experience
