Despite being busy with people checking in & out & dropping off bags, the desk people were very helpful & friendly. They even let us check into one room super early so we had a place to rest and drop off our stuff. They were also very helpful with directions and bus reservations.

I had an amazing stay here for my first Athens trip. Only complaint I’d have would be that the hotel is located right on major road and there’s noise at all hours of night, cars and motorcycles and etc. being ear plugs if you are a light sleeper Wish hotel had noise dampening curtains or shutters to keep the noise out. Otherwise, staff is kind and attentive, breakfast is excellent and walkable location to all the must see sites makes this hotel 5 stars!!

The staff was phenomenal...Elena and Dmitri at the front desk were amazing. Gus and Adriana were awesome servers. Housekeepers Linda & Zoriana were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend a stay here when in Athens.

Friendly and helpful staff. Happy to help with bookings and directions. Helped us with train tickets to travel to another part of Greece and booked a taxi to the station. Close to public transport and tourist sites.

Excellent staff, room, breakfast and rooftop dining. Close to all the sites, metro, and tram to the beach. Willing to help you out any hour of the day. A must stay if your headed to Athens.

My daughter and I stayed one night before going on a cruise. The staff was kind and wet from the start. They were helpful with any questions we had. The place is clean and quaint. We were able to walk to all the Athens sites from the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Kudos to the staff! Thank you so much.

Nice stay overall

Location near Acropolis Museum, very good service, staff are all very nice. Included breakfast was great. It’s on a noisy street, you can hear traffic all through the night. They are also obsessed with checking if you’ve taken anything from the bar. They checked the bar 1 hour after we checked into the room. They also knocked on our door at 10am on checkout day to check the bar (before we were ready to check out).

We stayed at the Athenian Callirhoe for 4 nights and found the location to be excellent as described on their website. The front desk staff was awesome, especially with help in sorting out a room change due to plumbing issues. We were upgraded to a larger and much nicer room. My favourite part is the rooftop restaurant. Our dining experience was superb with a stunning lighted view of the Acropolis. The food menu and wine selection were great. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Overall was a wonderful experience. Thanks to the friendly staff and the great maid service.

A convenient property close to the Acropolis.

The staff were lovely at the hotel and the location was good but there were a few negatives. The shower over the bath leaked out all over the bathroom floor despite their being a glass partition over the bath. There was a desk but no chair suitable to use at it(I had to take a low armchair and pile it with pillows. The breakfast was poor. It was reminiscent of a buffet breakfast from 20 years ago but things have moved on since then in good hotels. The coffee was undrinkable. Fortunately I found an excellent coffee shop called ‘Fisk’

The hotel location is perfect almost near everything The hotel itself is fine, staff is helpful The bad thing is that the bathroom is very small that you cannot close the door of the bathtube Breakfast was fine, design of the restaurant is strange little bit, they have big round tables only that can sit up to 6 or 7 people but they don’t have small tables for 1 or 2 persons Over all it was fine

Great property and good location. Very walkable to popular locations. Check in tried to charge an extra $30 for my daughter when we got there and said I booked for one. They ended up waiving the fee. Overall a great hotel, with nice finishes. I would recommend and stay here again.

Location is good for walkers as the Plaka & Acropolis area is 10-15 min or so away. But the immediate vicinity is motorcycle shops, rental car agencies, and strip clubs. Staff was excellent, friendly, and professional on all levels. Very clean and the value for the price is good.

The employees were amazing

The Athenian Carlihoe was very clean, convenient and affordable. We stayed an extra night before our tour. The staff from the restaurant was most hospitable. The. Breakfast buffet was great with many choices. We had dinner at the roof top restaurant where you can see the Acropolis lighted at night. The old town and many important sites, restaurants and shops were at walkable distance.

Convenient location in the city center

Excellent location. Close to Plaka restaurants and the Acropolis. However hotel is a little tired looking, and rooms and bathrooms need updating.

Pleasant staff. Carpets were dirty and wood furniture was quite worn. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Beds were comfortable. Couldn’t always get hot water.

The staff was great and my room was clean and comfortable. I'd go back.

Loved the property! Central location, minutes away from the Acropolis and the metro station. We stayed there for 3 days and had an amazing time. We were able to explore on foot and everything was a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel’s rooftop restaurant is great - delicious food, drinks and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!

The room was clean. Bathroom was awkward in its arrangement. The water wouldn’t stay hot. Nice staff and close to the acropolis and metro.

Great hotel

This is the 2nd time we visit Greece in 4 years, we stayed at this hotel last visit for 17 days and this time 19 days, very safe, friendly and clean, everyone at the hotel are great, Elena, Demitries, Alex just to name a few, breakfast is great, and don’t miss dinner at the rooftop restaurant

Location and management were great;

The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and adequate. My only complaints were that the air conditioning never seemed to really cool the room down and we woke up hot both nights. Secondly, the WiFi did not work in the room. Originally we were put into a room on the 5th floor and the WiFi seemed to work ok but we were moved to a room on the 6th floor shortly after checking in and the WiFi did not work at all in the new room. We had to go to the lobby to use internet for the duration of our stay.

Twin beds could be bigger. For a person. that's about 6 feet tall their twin beds are slightly too small.

This hotel was so comfortable and quiet, was really thankful that they have good blackout curtains - makes it easy to sleep in. Location is very convenient and close to the side of the acropolis with a ton of cute cafes and restaurants. Staff is really nice and friendly and checked in often. Main downside was the wifi is very slow and couldn't get on sometimes (seems to be a problem in athens in general) - but there is a 24 hour cafe across the street with good wifi.

Overall great hotel. What really made it great was the staff, who were all so friendly and helpful. The room decor including natjrooms, are slightly dated, but still comfortable and spacious as most city hotels. The gym is quite tired looking. But the restsurant is lovely, the views are great, and the location is also excellent. There can be some noise from ajkining rooms, but this is the case in most city hotels. I would definately stay there again, because the staff were all brilliant.

Location was far. About 15 mins walk to plaka area for food. Room was hot because AC was not turned on in February (22 degrees). Hot water was not sufficient. I turned the temperature all the way and water was warm. Not hot enough. Room beside extremely busy highway. Very loud even with double pane windows. Traffic was non stop. I would not stay here again. Room size and amenities were good.

Reception was very unwelcoming at check in. The room was clean but the bathroom smelled like mildew and needs updating. Good location.

Clean hotel in a walkable neighbourhood, staff were very helpful even packed breakfast to go boxes for our early morning ferry.

Exactly what we were looking for at the time. View of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar restaurant is perfect. Walking distance to the Plaka, restaurants and shops was convenient and easy. Staff were very good.

It’s a decent hotel with a very good location close to acropolis museum. The downside the bathroom size ( very small in our room) yet the highlight is the very helpful staff.
