Busy road access

I cant provide a proper review as this is a work trip and I only do the bookings but I can say it is accommodation that is requested by staff so that is positive feedback without details.

Nice inside but very dark.Road access poor, grounds untidy

Old furniture and damp inside

It was a clean but basic hotel room. No air-conditioning or ceiling fans so it was quite warm. The water pressure in the shower was not great. Comfortable for one night stay.

I stayed here on the recommendation of a colleague. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated since they stayed a few years ago. Certainly, needs some TLC.

Clean but pretty dated.

I find air conditioning would be good especially on hot days otherwise very good.

Energy Restorer after 3-day Walk

This was an overnight stay at the end of walking the Tora Coastal walk, before a long drive back to Hamilton. The room was comfortable and very clean. Good supply of crockery, etc., and unit had everything we needed to cook breakfast. Nice view across the road to the harbour.

Good spot by the waterfront of petone. Easy parking even for larger vehicles. Lots of dining and shops within walking distance. Room little tired but good place to stay

Cruddy, will never stay there again

Just an issue with water not going down drain in shower. Otherwise a goo stay.

The repair for the TV was very quick, even though it took several times for the manager to get it working. Also, it was very close to several eateries.

They must have a look at the toilet as the back part was loose. Further we had a very good time.

Easy overnight stay. Road quite busy during peak hour.

Very suitable location to stay and get to ferry. 10 minutes away by car

Mould in the bathroom was not good. Staff however were friendly and helpful

Area is made up of offices and residential housing, apart from beach there is not much else to do nearby. That being said if needing a base to explore the larger Wellington area or business stops then no real issues apart from busy road in front of the property.

Great spot with Food and bars close by. Supermarket handy and the Warehouse for anything else required. Train station about 5-10 minute walk. A walk down the beach in the evening or morning is a great way to relax. The room is basic but has everything that you need. I stay again as the location was great for going to sports or a concert in Wellington and not having to worry about parking.

I liked the view, size of the room & decore. The shower curtain was too short & water got on the floor that i had to clean up. Also there was no Sky Channels as Advertised.

The rooms are small and dated and everyone sees your business if the drapes are opened. The man at the reception was very nice and friendly.

Overnighter for ferry

Good place to overnight for frrry especially if need parking for larger vehicles. Walls a bit on the thin side but everything is clean tidy and friendly.

Did not like the noise from the room above

Hotel is in a nice quiet area,, across the street from the beach. Room is not very well kept as other Asure places.

The place was nice and quiet and I slept well, it was well cxleaned apart from the golf tee down the sofa

Wasn’t impressed to find no parks when coming back late at night had to park out front and run round in the rain by myself.

No hassle check in. Only there for 1 night, after a South Island trip. Staff friendly enough. Room tidy and clean.

Easy to find. Convenient to other areas whe commuting. Warm and comfortable. Room service was done without even asking. Great environment

Superb, great service

A nice friendly welcome. Very well positioned on the Petone Foreshore. A stones throw from Jackson St and great restaurants. Easy stroll to local supermarket and shops. Thank you.

The property suited us really well. There was nothing that we did not like. We would stay here again in the future.

Very handy to the ferry terminal close to nice restaurants around

Wasn't informed til I got to the property that I needed to pay a $100 deposit. The guy was pretty rude. Definitely won't be staying here again

Motel is getting old.

Make sure you get a top floor unit as the floors are very noisey when you are on the ground floor. Curtain was hanging from rail. Beds were ok, but very handy to Petone Railway station and Bus. PNS supermarket in walking distance.

Very clean and room of good standard although you could hear a lot through the walls. Despite claim in motel handbook in the room about being friendly to the environment there was no recycling and towels were changed each day. Unfortunately other guests smoked outside their rooms and frequently the smell drifted into ours and over us as we went to our car

The only thing we didn't like was to much noise from upstairs.

No climate control and limited opening windows made for a very hot room. Seemed over priced for what was provided

Used soap in the shower with hair on it. Shower dirty in areas. Pink edges in places.

We had a room at the front of the property and the noise from the main road about 20 metres away was terrible. Make sure you get a room at the back.

The beds were comfy. All self-contained. Great value. Carpark outside door plus extra at the back. Beach Esplanade across the road. A range of boutique shops, eateries, takeaways, supermarkets, gyms etc nearby.

We found Asure at the last minute and they were very accomodating to our needs, we checked in late and were able to check out late. Everything was user friendly, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Hi there, I've stayed at Asure 83 before and it felt different then - pre Covid days. Now it just seemed tired. On arrival, the person at Reception was a young guy who really didn't fit there and certainly didn't have a clue. The Manager was fine. He had phoned me the evening prior to make sure he had the details for bedding configuration correct - which I appreciated. I spoke to him in the morning about the noise throughout the complex (we had 10 people in 5 rooms). Apparently there was a sports group of 18 year olds in-house. That was a shame, and a nuisance, as we'd driven down from Cambridge and had to drive the same distance back the next day after attending WOW. We really needed our rest. The reception area is tired, as are the grounds and the rooms, especially the area just outside the rooms. No extraction fan in the bathroom, but there were condoms in the bedside cabinet (really?!). The carpet was not vaccumed. I would give this a 2 star rating

I found the duty manager Alvin to be very helpful … I had lots of luggage and he moved me to a downstairs room to make life easier ….much appreciated.

They really looked after us and we had a toddler so wasn’t too much baby proofing of the room required as everything is up high! Excellent location as well, right across from the water and walking distance to shops.

Nice and convenient if you're catching the ferry. Unfortunately walls are too thin and you can hear everything. Bathroom definitely felt dated.

It was lovely and clean, beds were super comfy not hard like a lot of other motels. Great family room and would be happy to stay again.

Noisy road traffic and noisy upstairs guests - not the guests fault but just could hear every movement.

This place was ok. Pretty dared, basic and in close pry to Petone. The road & industrial noise levels were a problem. One night we could hear boy racers for hours on The Esplanade. Not a fault of the property but it did Impact our sleep.

Good location across from the foreshore. Walking distance to McDonald’s and Pak n Save. Could hear upstairs unit in terms of when water running but otherwise very quiet.

Could hear everything from room above us,snoring,a gentleman using the toilet,the ceiling creaking as he walked.

Service was horrendous. Made to feel unwelcome the entire time. Checked on intrusively. Tried to charge for 2 extra people when base charge includes 2. Threatened to call the police because of guests. Would not recommend. Cancelled (and was refunded) second night.

We were catching the ferry across the cook strait so was very close so suited use well for that.

I arrived late due to ferry delay, staff were very good and accomodating. Very nice location adjacent Petone beach, handy to nearby dining and shopping.

For what we paid the room was a bit dated and the deodoriser they use in room or on carpets was not pleasant. $170 was quite a lot compared to room we stayed in night before in Wellington for same price which was a lot nicer decor. With a bit of TLC it could be good.

Rooms are very dated & need maintenance. Shower smelt musty, I wondered if it was from the drain. Every time we walked into bathroom we could smell it. Window fastener was missing of the window. Bed was comfortable & bedding was clean.
