The room, the service, the breakfast, the pool…. Everything was perfect! I 100% recommend this place.

Perfect accommodation in Naxos

A wonderful accommodation in a perfect location with a short stroll to the beach (3 min), walking distance to to the town (15 min and port (20 min) with free top of the line breakfast. Every morning we were looking forward to the breakfast next to the pool. The pool area is very beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable with nice balconies. Overall a perfect accommodation. Highly recommend it if you wish for a calm and peaceful accommodation with close proximity to the town.

Nice hotel ,few minutes walk to the beach and about 15 minutes walk to the center and to the Port . The family room we had had a lovely porch ,nice comfy bed and pillows but the bath room needs updating and is looking tired. Staff are helpful with reception. Service is 24 hours . We had a lovely stay for a family of 3.

The staff was very welcoming, they helped us with our bags, prepared our transfer to the port, offered us juice at our arrival. The area is cute, the beach is only 4 minutes away by walk. Overall, very good experience and i would highly recommend this place.

Very friendly staff

Overall. Basic and simple accommodation with friendly staff. We chose the triple room which was tiny and not suited to our needs. The property was dated and felt more like a motel but with a pool and food options. We wore thongs in shower and aircon kept switching on/pff even though door was closed. Overall the staff were just so nice and wonderful which made the stay bearable. However, it’s not a resort or a place to hang out. Great for exploring island with limited time required in your room.

Quiet accomodations just a couple minutes walk from bus stop to get into town. Staff is wonderful and helpful with recommendations and arranging transportation. Pillows were a bit hard for my liking, but not enough to make it difficult to sleep. Breakfast is buffet style and was set up nicely. Pool is clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Amazing staff, best pool around, easy access to beach and short walk to town

This property’s Expedia listing says it has a free airport shuttle. I was informed at the front desk that they don’t have a free shuttle this year, so I had to pay 20 euro for a short cab. The proximity to the airport and the free shuttle was the reason I booked this property, which is off the path of many others. I also had to pay more than double the projected local fees (listed on Expedia receipt) upon checkout. The room was outdated and dark, and the room key was a literal set of metal keys and chunky metal thing on the key ring that you need to put into a slat to get the AC to turn on. No modern hotel card keys like every other hotel on my Greece trip. No double lock on the interior of the door. There is an abandoned shipping container and a dirty truck directly behind the pool in an unpaved area, and you must walk through unpaved parking lots for trucks/buses and on roads with no sidewalks on a busy road to get to the desirable restaurants and the port area. Property needs upgrades - ultimately it didn’t feel relaxing or convenient.

5 stars! Fabulous hotel in a very convenient location just outside Naxos town (a 15-minute walk to the harbor-front). The building itself is quite unique/architecturally interesting and extremely well-kept. The pool as well as the surrounding area is very attractive/inviting, and there are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs available. There is also ample parking on the hotel grounds. We can’t say enough good things about the staff; everyone - from the owner to the front desk to room-cleaning staff - was extraordinarily friendly, accommodating and helpful. Price-value was exceptional for our stay during the 3rd week of May. The Astir of Naxos gets our highest recommendation!

Not really another visit as I extended my booking for an additional night as the hotel was so comfortable. Again the staff were helpful and friendly whilst dealing with this request.

The hotel property is literally within a few minute walk to the beach. The poool is lively and the staff is amazing. It’s also within about a 15 minute walk to town. Great location and great stay. However they don’t have port transfer. You have to pay for a taxi

We loved this hotel. It's located about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the center of the town. They arranged a pick up from the Ferry port to the hotel. Please remember the Ferry arrives with hundreds of people, are there just a Few taxis . So having arranged a pick up from the port for us, was a great service to us. Breakfast was great, and the greeted us at check in with a local made liquor that was great. We will stay again at Astir of Naxos.

Decent no frills hotel, close to the beach.

Great hotel

Great hotel, good quiet location on the edge of town (it's a 10 min walk into town). The staff were very attentive, the pool was lovely and not overly busy. The gripe was the shower. The glass didn't reach the floor so water leaked onto the bathroom floor every time you had a shower. Fix that issue and the stay would be brilliant.

The staff was incredibly helpful; they assisted us with taxis, activities, and recommended restaurants. This is close to St. Georges beach, and the bus stop was nearby so it was convenient to get to other beaches. Pleasant walk to the main town of Naxos.

The property is situated in a perfect location to the beach and close to town and marina. The breakfast was good and the owners and front desk went beyond to accommodate us, they were friendly and helpful We Definitely recommend yo stay here. Truly wonderful people.

I liked the staff and the pool area. I did not like the room because it was small and needed significant updating in the bathroom area.

Great spot for familyies

Wonderful small family owned hotel walking distance to St. George's Beach and Naxos town. The breakfast is fantastic and he rooms are clean and nicely arranged around the pool. They note having a children's club but it is really just a playground down some stairs from the pool and unsupervised - still good to have something else for kids to do though they generally just hung out in the pool. Great for families and nice to be out of the bustle of town but close enough to join when wanted.

Lovely location but with a few downfalls.

The Astir of Naxos is in a great location, 10 minutes walk from town and lots of beach tavernas within a five minute walk. Hotel clean and staff very nice but the hotel needs some tender loving care the shower had broken tiles however the shower was good and warm. Drains smelt a bit and as there was no outside window for the bathroom the smell was always there. Nice pool but very very cold and no nice views, gardens so a little but uninteresting. Dest staff were really nice including security through the night however they did not respond to several emails that were sent to them about transferes , tried through hotel.com messages and emailing direct but no responses ever received.

Fantastic location close to the beach. Really cool dining options close by. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool was great. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again with my family.

Very comfortable and close to everything

We stayed 5 days and had a room with a balcony and water views. Room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. Good variety at breakfast and was close to restaurants, bus, beach and town. Only criticism was we were confirmed for an airport pickup and they did not show so we had to get a cab.

Fabulous Astir

We had a wonderful time at Astir. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly helpful and generous. A quiet, pretty hotel with a nice beach and choice of bars/tavernas close by. We were sad to leave. Thank you to Evagelia and her lovely team.

Absolutely outstanding hotel

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were great, breakfast very good and the pool is brilliant.

The pool was great. The property is a little outside of the city which makes it very quiet. But it is still very near the beach.

Even though the staff (front staff) were amazing unfortunately the room was not what I was expecting (old decor and shower recess outdated especially for honeymoon room) location was ok not great ao I would give this a miss and try something else

Great hotel close to the beach and town

The owner, Evangelia, on premesis, was friendly, helpful, and involved in every aspect of the hotel. The welcome drink hit the spot. Beach/pool towels were supplied. Every question and need was immediately addressed. Loved it here..hated to leave.

Overall, the hotel is exceptionally clean (the pool was the cleanest Ive ever been in) and the staff (family owned and operated) couldn't have been better. One of the owners, Eva, realizing that the room we had requested did not match the picture on Expedia, moved us to a large suite when she could, at no extra charge. The front desk personnel were also very helpful in recommending places to go and ordering taxis for us. The breakfasts were fresh, plentiful and delicious and overall I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel. Only two very minor negatives - the mattresses were not that comfortable - seem to be spring coiled and also, the walk from the hotel is longer than anticipated. Most times we took taxis which cost about 8 euros per trip

Astir of Naxos

The people, amenities, and proximity to the beach and fun of Hotel Astir of Naxos was top notch!!! They had a car pick us up at the port, took care of our every need while on site, and were so wonderful and gracious. Naxos is an island that is underrated - it was actually one of my favorites, and the staff at Astir of Naxos were a large part of why it felt like home away from home. I will only stay at Astir of Naxos on my next trip, which I hope will be soon!!!

A beautiful hotel with friendly staff

It is a lovely hotel, private quiet rooms with an amazing shower, and a great pool area. Huge variety for breakfast every morning. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others. The only things we felt could have been improved were firstly the bed - it was an extremely soft mattress (and I'm not fussy when it comes to mattresses) - but by the end of our stay my back told a different tale... The second area for improvement, although small, is to add a bit more atmosphere to the pool area. It is a beautiful pool with wonderful lounges, but it is so quiet you almost feel bad swimming - some soft background music would be great. Overall an excellent stay at a wonderful hotel.

Excellent staff who were very helpful at directions to the beach and town who were available 24/7. Would recommend getting a quad bike / buggy and exploring the beaches on the west coast and inland as there's some phenomenal mountain views and beautiful beaches to see.

Astir of Naxos is fabulous

I would definitely recommend the Astir of Naxoss. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and it was close to a beach and walkable to town. I also cannot say enough good things about the hotel owners and staff. They were wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure our trip was an amazing experience. We were very sad when we had to leave them. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Comfortable hotel with great pool

the hotel was good with great pool and only a short walk from the beach. Good breakfast. There is not much atmosphere to the hotel - although there is a bar it is not manned and is not designed for comfortable use (and is totally inside the hotel). Although it is handy for the beach and the restaurants, it is a good 20 minute walk to the centre of town (reviews say 10 mins but this is just to the outskirts)

Nice, clean hotel, great breakfast, great pool

We rented dune buggies and toured this quiet island. Prices were better than other islands we'd been to. Food was very good. Good shopping and lots to see and do. Beautiful beaches. Very friendly people.

Best Hotel in Naxos

Our family had a great time in this hotel. The hotel is walking distance to Saint George Beach and it is 10 minutes from the main town. Our kids had a great time in the pool and the breakfast is the best. They will always make you feel welcomed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel close to Georgias Beach.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel in June 2017. While the bathrooms and a bit dated the hotel was clean and the pool was very nice. They offered a buffet breakfast that had a variety of delicious food. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Ferry Stike and hotel will not allow refund !

We had a reservation for 4 nights. The ferry seamen went on strike and the hotel was aware in advance of the strike but did not let us know. When we found out about the strike we emailed the hotel with NO RESPONSE. The ports were closed for days. We did not have an international phone so could not call the hotel so assumed they would respond to email. Finally we got Expedia travel on the phone and they contacted hotel mgmt who refused to refund our money. The Hotel then admitted to recieving our email request We contacted the hotel before our reservation began and there should have been some sort of compromise on a reimbursement as we never were able to get to NAXOS. We were standed in Athens with hundreds of other travelers to the islands with similar issues but their hotels made accomodations and refunds.

Nice hotel near the beach

The hotel is a short walk to the beach. Much like others, we visited the beach cafe, ordered a drink and sat on the sand with their bean bags. Better than spending 10 euro on an umbrella and chair. The hotel's staff and owners are very warm and accommodating. They know how to treat a guess. Only downside is the poor aircon in the room. Was a bit warm in the night. Overall a pleasant stay with some real nice host.

Good Hotel

Basic hotel on the edges of Naxos city. Rooms clean and tidy. Bathroom good - shower door was broken and shower head a nightmare. Nice welcome fruit basket. Great pool. Breakfast was basic. Staff were lovely and helpful. Hotel close to beach and 15-20 minute walk to city.

Good location, nice pool

Couple minutes walk to the beach which is lined with decent places to eat with nice views of the waves and sunset. Close enough to town, easily walkable too via the beach. Honeymoon suite - spacious and comfortable bed, shower was a convoluted piece of machinery but eventually worked! Pool only opens around 11.30. Reception provides pool towels - handy. Laundry service was great, ten euro for a big bag returned the same day. Good selection at brekkie. Bit of a trek from the port with luggage but doable. You need to leave your key at reception for cleaning and use a different access door if back after midnight.

Exceeded my expectations

I traveled with my family and we all shared a room (four of us) and it was a little tight but doable. We were all pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The pool and the view of the hills were lovely. The building looked relatively new and the rooms and bathroom were very clean. My kids loved the pool! It wasn't super close to the beach or town but close enough. We enjoy a nice stroll, especially after eating. Staff was nice - no one particularly stood out but I definitely felt welcomed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay again.

This is a 3 star hotel in my opinion

The good The staff was amazing, I can not say enough about their kindness. The pool area was very nice It's well located near town The not so good I firs want to say that if it were a three star hotel, my expectations would have been different but regardless The breakfast was awful, I am tired of the mass tourism approach to breakfast, I mean a buffet where the food has been left out for too long. I can not believe that there was no fresh orange juice, especially on an island that prides itself on its abundant local food. Also, where is the real Greek honey and good yogurt? That's all I dream about each year before coming to greece,, the yogurt was not good and the honey, well what can I say, packets with crystallized honey, from where it came, I don't know. The rooms were "adequate". For a three star hotel, but tired. The beds were comfortable though. Toiletries were lacking, no body lotion or hair conditioner. The shower itself was kind of gross with an accordion type enclosure. H I would be sure and ask for a room with Windows, the first room they gave me was like a cave. The second was larger and much nicer. Also. Request a room upstairs. The most annoying things as poor wifi in the rooms. Also a most annoying thing is when the key is not in the receptacle there isn't power, I understand the need to conserve for the air con but you can not power up any electronics, none of the plugs work when out of the room. The air con is very old and nois

lovely staff and pool area the highlight. Slightly disappointed with the honeymoon room with sea view as the view of the sea was minimal. Having to hold shower head the whole time as there was no wall holder was slightly annoying. Wifi in rooms was weak

Excellent stay at Astir of Naxos

Just completed a two night stay at Asir of Naxos. Very friendly staff and clean modern hotel. A bit disappointed the pool is not open before 11am a I would have liked to have a swim before then (very nice large pool). Other than that it was a lovely. Large buffet breakfast, clean rooms and close proximity to the beach.
