Mixed experience
Overall average. Mould on ahower curtains and bathroom. Rooms have no soubd proofing so you gsve yo put up with hearing islamic prayers from everywhere 5 times a day. Annoying to say the least. Room service is fine. Food options very limited snd restaurant closes very early. Best to buy from Swiggy or Zamato. Hotel.seeme to cater to dopey hippie crowds.
Excellent hôtel. One thing to improve is the food,
The best comment I can make is that I have stayed many times at Arya Niwas, and will stay there next time I visit Jaipur. I have heard similar views from other guests. The rooms are fairly basic, but comfortable. The hotel is a calm oasis that is well managed, and very clean and safe. The restaurant is really good. The staff are well trained and professional. The small gift shop is the best place to buy gifts in the city, in my opinion … reasonable prices with clear price tags and no bargaining, which is so refreshing. Arya Niwas does not pretend to be a five-star luxury hotel, but is excellent value for money.
Great place to stay in Jaipur, in every way! The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient; the rooms are old-style comfortable, clean, quiet and well-kept (not luxurious); the food is very good and inexpensive; it is well-located; the price is extremely good value. There are even two small shops there With a small assortment of goods at reasonable prices — try shopping there before muscling through the chaos of local bazaars.
Very convenient
Pros: Location, Old palace converted, Good staff and service, clean, complementary breakfast. Cons: Bathroom flush not super effective, not much room service, not much car parking
Absolutely loved Arya Niwas. Felt like home, in a comfortable, safe, fun and interesting Indian way. Lovely staff, great cafe, varied shops, pretty grounds, comfortable rooms (excellent showers too).
Excellent property and good staff
Garden gem
This is a gem in Jaipur. Convenient, reasonable and clean. Staff are great
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. However, the room was not cleaned for four days despite my request and leaving the key at the front desk. I was informed that this was due to staff shortages. While maintaining the exterior is important, regular room cleaning should also be prioritized.
Overall ok
Booked hotel for pool and connecting rooms, this was advertised but hotel had neither For a pool they sent us to another hotel nearby, which it turned out was for their hotel guests only. A great shame because otherwise this was a pretty good hotel
Our family of 4 (including boys ages 13 and 11) stayed three nights in Arya Niwas and we really enjoyed it. Highlights included breakfast and dinner at the on-site vegetarian restaurant (we’re not vegetarians either), daily entertainment (lots of great music), complimentary filtered drinking water. The room was quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean with great wi-fi, AC, and hot water, etc. We would totally recommend it and would stay there again ourselves. A few additional notes: 1. We used the onsite travel desk to book a taxi from Jaipur to Ranthambore which was definitely on the pricier side but we weren’t able to find a better option in the limited time we had. Not a problem, just something to be aware of. 2. While the hotel itself is an oasis of green, the surrounding neighborhood is pretty “gritty” urban (but still safe) and not especially walkable. You’ll probably want to plan to take a taxi or tuk tuk to the sights - but not a big deal. 3. This is not unique to this hotel at all, but we found the whole tipping situation to be confusing - ie when should we tip and how much. The hotel website says tipping is discouraged, but there’s a tip box in the reception and some staff seemed to expect tipping for services like carrying bags and room cleaning. Again, this is not a huge problem and is not unique to this hotel, just something to note. Overall we loved our stay here and would totally book this place again without hesitation if in Jaipur!
Très bel endroit calme. Les jardins sont magnifiques!
This property has a green space off a main road so it’s quiet and peaceful. They have an awesome breakfast buffet that you can eat in the quiet green space! Staff are very responsive when requesting anything at reception. Nice hotel!
Amazing stay
Very clean. Excellent food.
Its a vert majestic place. And the staff made my stay very easy and set me uo for a very successful trip around India. I look forward ro coming back very soon.
I purchased the cheapest room, and it's not at all good. Door is in poor condition. Room is smelly Outside my room, hotel is in perfect condition with a good buffet breakfast and beautiful garden. Only suggestion is to increase the cost of cheapest room and renovate it.
Great place. Beautiful building.
It’s a nice, hotel. But it is very old. I don’t suggest eating the food they offer. Beds are small and flat. I could tell that hotel had a lot of history there, which I liked. However if you’re looking for a more relaxing stay after a long adventure in India, this may not be for you.
Room allocated was small and stuffy.Bed very old and uncomfortable. Curtains very poor. Service staff polite and prompt.Breakfast reasonably good.
We loved our stay in Arya Niwas The hotel reminded me of old British colony movies which made it even more interesting. The green lawn at the front with a very pleasant female singer (with such beautiful voice) starting the morning was a plus to the whole memory of our stay. Generally very happy of our stay at this resort
Lovely hotel.
This is one the best property in Jaipur. I really enjoyed the stay. I really loved the garden and the ambience. Really loved our stay
Arya Niwas is an amazing home away home. The food at Chitra cafe was amazing and offered great choices between Indian and healthy American cuisine. The stay was very relaxing and refreshing as well.
Loved our stay
India visit
Comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Services were in line with needs. Meal buffets were very good
Quick check in & out friendly staff, comfortable room

Great experience! The courtyard is really nice for relaxing in the morning and evening before outings. The staff are also very friendly in general. The food is pretty good and inexpensive, so you can eat there morning and night, they just don't serve meat and don't have all of the food choices all the time. I did also see a spider in my room, but in general they're very clean.
Very friendly and helpful staff Relaxed atmosphere. My particular room 152, had no view other than a wall, so avoid if possible. I did not ask to change rooms, so i could have asked. Buffet breakfast was quite good, but repetative. Food generally very good, ate there in the evening several times. On the whole i would definitely stay there again
The property was just beautiful with a feeling of peacefulness in a very busy city. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was it was very cold while we were there and the heater in the room didn't work.
Great food, great service , room size and amenities were perfect, they also gave us late check out for free
Good overall
Good location, clean, all basic amenities were there. Good experience for the price you pay. Can be very noisy though as you can hear other guests walking past your room
I stayed 3 nights. It is a nice hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. Complimentary WIFI worked fine. Breakfast buffet included which was nice. Beautiful grounds. I would have preferred to be closer to the tourist attractions. It was only a 10 minute or so tuk-tuk ride to the shopping but if I came back to Jaipur, I would stay somewhere closer where I could walk more. There was nothing much around the hotel. January 2024 and Jaipur is cold especially at night and in the early morning. There was an extra blanket and heater in the room, but I was still freezing. I found the front desk staff not very helpful. I had to ask three times for an iron. When I asked for laundry to be done, it wasn't done properly. I asked for help with a taxi once. Most hotels will call one for you or hail a tuk-tuk and help you, especially as a solo female traveller but I was rudely told to go and get one myself in the street!
A relatively clean oasis of civilized environment in a dirty rough downtown area.
Very nice property, away from city chaos still within close proximity of all the main attractions
Loved everything about the property. It was such a memorable experience to stay in a property that is very well maintained that is set up with in a Rajastini architecture. The rooms itself were decorated with local artifacts. So many amenities are available. My only qualm was rhe drain in the shower was super slow.
Unfortunate
I really appreciated them keeping my room open while I had some plane and train drama which delayed my arrival. [I had paid upfront so they weren't losing out]. They are however a grumpy bunch of people. And it's in a grotty part of town too with not a great deal going on. Compact and comfortable room. Good apart from having to negotiate the padlock at knee height on the door every time you go in or out. The main saving grace is the cafe/restaurant. Service excellent. Food is excellent. Arrive late for breakfast because it won't all be ready on time. Arrive early for dinner as it gets busy.
Above and beyond
Splendid hotel for the price. We were in the new wing which was mostly quiet from any outside noise. Doors were a bit subject to slamming though. Spacious room with all we needed. Garden with cafe was charming and live music every night and dancing added atmosphere. Recommend visiting the Handi restaurant just a short walk away. Great lamb tandoori! Biggest thumps up though was that rushed out because I was late for the train and left a couple of things in the room. The porter hopped on his moped and found us on the station platform to return them. Superb!
We were here for a short stop over on our way to catch a plane. The property was lovely and they have shops and activities available on site. They also can help with tours.
This small hotel has a nice area to sit out in a garden and have meals. The location is on a side street so not noisy. This is my second stay. I will return. Front desk was helpful arranging transport.
Jaipur-tastic!
The people were lovely. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The little gift shop was great!
An underrated gem in Jaipur. Stay here!
This little hotel is a serene oasis in Jaipur. It is modest and inexpensive, but very well managed, beautifully maintained, clean, comfortable and relaxing. The cafe and garden are wonderful spaces. If you are looking for top market luxury then this is not for you, but if you are looking for a safe, clean, comfortable and peaceful place to stay in Jaipur then definitely choose Arya Niwas. I recommend it without hesitation.
Not good transportation and also surroundings are not very clean. Not many choices of restaurants either in the area
The atmosphere is very nice
Excellent hotel! Great service, comfortable rooms, and a perfect location. Highly recommended!
Always a favorite when in Jaipur
This place is a GEM! For the price and the place, you can't beat this boutique hotel with its friendly, helpful staff. They are professional and will arrange whatever you need. I wish every city in India had an Arya Niwas Hotel. I loved being able to walk to the City Palace and Bapu Bazar!
Loudest stay so far...
I wanted to love the property but our room was right next to the street where I could see piles of trash, loud people talking outside our window til 2 in the morning where I could barely sleep, and hearing motorbikes most of the night was frustrating.... Room was clean but not much more than that I can recommend. Not really much to walk around for food or shops without having to take a tuktuk.
Beautiful place. Friendly and helpful staff. My favorite place to stay in Jaipur.
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Jaipur. Within a short distance of most of the popular sights. Yes the area surrounding the hotel is extremely busy but what else were you expecting in Jaipur? The hotel and the grounds surrounding are extremely well maintained. Rooms are simple yet extremely clean. Staff were very helpful. You can easily catch a cab from out front of the hotel or if you’re up for it, you can haggle a price from the rickshaw drivers that are usually situated nearby. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again when i inevitably return to Jaipur.
Amazing
Condition at property are substandard.
This is a wonderful hotel we have been going to for years. Ever since I have discovered Arya Niwas Hotel in Jaipur more than 20 years ago I have never looked for any other hotel. The best thing is that it has only grown better over the years. Apart from all the other amenities, the food at the Chitra cafe is so good. Recommended without any second thoughts for travelers of all backgrounds Indian and foreign.
Room cleaning is done only on request
It's a beautiful place to stay in Jaipur...staff is very helpful and polite
Fabulous
One of my favourite, if not my favourite, hotels in India. Fabulous staff, relaxed, safe and clean, accommodating and helpful. Great cafe. Cannot wait to come back.
Great Place. Me and my family loved it...
Great place to stay in Jaipur
This is a very good hotel, which is conveniently located to explore Jaipur. My room was very large and comfortable. The lovely garden offers respite from the busy city. The cafe attached to the hotel offers delicious food.
Very nice breakfast, reasonably priced food. They had local entertainment at night. Very professional staff.
great vibes, relaxing, but rooms a bit basic
Excellent option for Jaipur. Rooms are a bit basic and a tad shabby eg shower was poor but has a lovely atmosphere and nice gardens and restaurant.
I'd stay again.
This is a good, clean hotel. I'd stay here again.
Arya Niwas is a nice place for staying in Jaipur. Exterior and interior quality of property is quite good. Well suited to foreign tourists. Reasonable walking distance to the Pink City and many popular tourist spots. Good value for money.
Very clean place, attentive staff. Highly recommend staying here!
I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is great, very close to the train station and the main markets. The room was comfortable and warm (had a portable heater). Wifi worked ok. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.
Service is poor . Staff is not responsive.
Family Trip of Jaipur
Very good hotel with excellent service. Beds should be made more comfortable, other than that it is a lovely place to stay when you are in Jaipur
The place is very clean and well thought of. They could not find the key to our room initially. Very beautiful hotel.
The staff, the food, the accommodation the gardens fantastic, had a great stay at this Hotel
Great location and services with affordable prices.
Lovely heritage Hotel very for to the Pink City. Very peaceful garden.
This is one of my favorite comfortable places to stay in Jaipur. It has a big garden to relax in with outside dining if you prefer, a lovely buffet in the mornings with a variety of foods and clean healthy foods at the restaurant with a mix of western and Indian. A helpful staff and an oasis in the big city. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds, old time ambience of heritage paintings and tiles. Centrally located for moving around the city. Enjoy!
We loved our stay here. The property was a beautiful sanctuary in amongst the craziness of Jaipur. The staff were very helpful, we loved the Bollywood dance lesson they organised for us and when we got to the train station and realised we had lost our train ticket that they helped us buy, they promptly sent us a copy so we didn’t miss our train. Breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommend staying here!
Very relaxing. Lovely gardens and courtyards. Friendly helpful staff.. Good restaurant with buffet breakfast and all day reasonably priced food.room service. Water cooler. Good range of English TV channels. An oasis just off very busy road . Walkable to pink city gate.
This hotel staff are very organized and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient to the sights!
Basic vegetarian hotel with fantastic staff.
Stayed here for 6 nights on business. A real oasis of calm in a hectic and extremely noisy city. The staff were amazing and really made the stay so pleasant. We booked a Luxury double room as it stated that it had a 'deep-soaking bathtub' but it only had a shower. We were offered alternatives that did have a bath but these rooms are in the main/older part of the hotel and are quite dingy and don't have a private balcony. Our room did have a kitchenette with a fridge and kettle which was really handy. The hotel is vegetarian, as is a lot of Jaipur, and do not serve alcohol and request you don't consume it in public places. However, the food in the restaurant was really good although he breakfast could have had a few more choices. The internet was not very good in the rooms so most people sat in the gardens if they needed to be online. There is a restaurant within walking distance called Handi's that has a rooftop area and serves great tandoori meats cooked fresh. A little expensive but worth it. A trip to Amer Fort and Monkey Temple is also well worth it. All in all, a basic hotel with fantastic staff and, yes, I would stay here again.
very good value for money
a pleasant surprise for a 3 star hotel
The property had beautiful gardens for sitting and because it is situated off the main road, was relatively quiet.
Lovely clean rooms with fresh linens and a very clean bathroom. The breakfast which is included is also really very nice.
all way a good choice
all ways a good place to land.jaipur is one of the worst traffic scenes in India do it's great to be removed from the scene just enough to relax.
Jaipur
Great location and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Good hotel but needs better bedding.
Lovely hotel. The bedding needs improvement. The food too could have more variety.
Great place to stay in Jaipur. Especially loved the affordable cafe and the morning Yoga. It was because of these special, very reasonably-priced amenities that I would stay here again if back in Jaipur.
Satisfied
Excellent service, good breakfast and comfortable room
Choose your room carefully
I think we may have have the worst room in the hotel. We appeared to be directly over the kitchen, so we heard loud noises from before 07.00 until nearly 23.00. Since we were out a lot and had silence during the night, we put up with it. The bedroom and facilities were clean, the bathroom less so. There was always plenty of hot water. The catch on our room was faulty, and we only got out one time by careful application of our nailscissors to the problem area. We oiled the lock and that seemed to fix it.We enjoyed the cheap and cheerful cafeteria style dinners and breakfast, and found all the staff pleasant and helpful. The garden and outdoor seating area were very pleasant for breakfast or dinner.
It’s a budget hotel. Simple in a hidden street that doesn’t have the best impression. I thought it was a bit pricey for the facilities. Food is ok and there are lots of options.
Lovely place to stay. Doesn't look like it's in a great area but it is a hidden gem. Garden is peaceful. Only problem is that there is a strict no alcohol policy and no outside guests after 8pm. Not a party place, if that's what you're looking for. But a clean, relaxing oasis from the madness.
That was very nice hotel!! You should go there. Very cool contents has here.
A quiet oasis in the city.
Great stay, friendly helpful staff. Home away from home. Clean hotel with its own restaurant with western and Indian food.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very affordable room and food prices.
Excellent hotel.... highly recommend
Excellent customer service, when we arrived we were offered a choice of two rooms. We took the second room in the new annex at the rear of the hotel it had an extra living room and balcony, If asking for a room here try to have a room that faces the front, as I think other rooms may not have an outside window/ view. We ate here every night, good food and value for money. We had some salad dishes with no consequences.....I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. P.s they also pre booked train tickets from Agra to Delhi which seems a lot easier than trying to book them yourself.
Nice hotel in the city
Hotel is near the pink city. The restaurant Chitra Cafe is very good. Though this is a old property it has been maintained very well. Good for Family stays.
Old world style hotel.
Comfortable and friendly old world Accomodation. It has a charming restaurant that provides good food. A quiet garden to relax in. You feel you are out of the hustle and noise of the roads. Warehouse shopping nearby for those that like to shop.
Third time, hope to go again
This was the third time I stayed at Arya Niwas over the past thirty years. Each time it has been very good. Each time the staff were fair aand helpful, the food good, and the hotel rooms and facilities very good. The garden is a great place to relax after a day out in the city. Overall great value.
Quiet hotel classic style
Hotel sits in the busy heart of Jaipur city but it is very quiet once you step into it. I like the classic Indian style of the building. The room is clean and comfortable. You can have breakfast at the yard outdoor. The only gift shop in the hotel is excellent, have everything you need from cream to silver and cloths with reasonable price.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are always tidied up when you return at the end of the day (what a luxury!). Room service staff really do deserve a special thank you! Your internet could use a dramatic upgrade. The session times out too frequently. Overall a very pleasant stay as usual. Will definitely come back. 😊
an absolute gem of a hotel
This hotel is an oasis of tranquillity amongst the chaos of the streets of Jaipur! There are two gardens to relax in, the bedrooms were spacious and inviting, and there was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and can arrange transfers to and from the airport for a small fee. The hotel consists of two buildings - the 'old' and the 'new' - both of which are very attractive (I think the hotel offers around 100 bedrooms in total). We met several people who have been staying here year after year, which speaks a lot about the quality of the place.
Original place
Lovely, interesting Indian paintings on the walls, comfortable and quiet room. The owner and his 2 sons were extremely helpful. Very much concerned about your well-being. Will come back.

Very good.
