The staff and the hotel manager are very friendly. The rooms are great and the balcony is worth it, as is the breakfast; it's fantastic, every time. You can't ask for a better location, walkable to the light rail as well as the Old City of Jerusalem.
Nice boutique hotel with convenient location
Great location near Jaffa and Ben Yehuda streets, and easy walk to the old city and Machane Yehuda market. The staff was super friendly and helped with plans and recommendations. Nice breakfast and afternoon happy hour - I recommend staying here while in Jerusalem!
Superb location. Very convenient. Personnel is very responsive and accomodating, especially the evening shift.
Dirty carpets, dirty walls, staff may use some smiling, excellent location, nice coffee, happy hour
Great location very nice place And good service
Great Stay
Hotel Arthur is centrally located near the light train station that will transfer you to the Old city and to the Holocaust museum. Mahmoud and Sevana and the team arranged for us the transportation to / from the hotel, and recommended tour guides at our request. Pedestrian area with alternatives to eat. Great breakfast. All hotel Employees were friendly . Will stay again here when visiting Jerusalem.
The property and location are wonderful. The was friendly and helpful. It was a little tricky getting a cab but once you learned what to do, it all worked out.
Hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to everything. Loved the room
Excellent
We enjoyed a spacious and comfortable room, with a large terrace, on the seventh floor. The breakfast selection is good
The people who worked here were amazing. All very sweet, location is unbeatable. Heart of the main area of the city and nightlife. The pictures are completely inaccurate. Very photo shopped. My room was dingy, dark, a little creepy to be honest. Nice floors but rug made the whole room feel unclean. Breakfast is definitely not worth a $25 breakfast. Save it and go to one of the cute cafes on the street. Again, great staff, but everything else not worth it.
Lovely boutique hotel in the middle of Jerusalem
A lovely boutique hotel in the middle of Jerusalem, walking distance from all sites. Hotel itself is welcoming clean and quiet. Truly enjoyable
Best value for money
I'm not sure what earlier reviews complained about. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was almost perfect. Everything felt new and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was fluffy. The towels were white and shower had a door!
Great hotel- good location
The staff is very helpful The room is large The location is awesome
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were beautiful..great location. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and the happy hour relaxing?
I enjoyed the pleasant support staff and the happy hour offered! Very nice stay for sure!!
Atlas hotels are the best!
The best location!! Small but clean room, very close to the main street and a short walk to the market. The staff is kind and helpful, there is free wine and a happy hour in the afternoon which is really nice. The breakfast is delicious, fresh and varied. We asked for another half hour at check out and they happily agreed. Highly recommend and will return again... Small disadvantages - the mattress was a bit old and uncomfortable and the refrigerator made an annoying noise that we had to unplug.
The property is not accessible by motor vehicle. It is a several block walk to a public street. It is on a noisy street next door to several restaurants which were very noisy every night until after 2 am. The hotel didn't care or even repond to any of our requests.
I liked the location, I liked the people and staff, l loved the food and coffee
Room
The room was a little bit too small for me. I also thought I would have a balcony attached to my room but I didn’t. On the plus side, it was efficiently laid out and the bed was very comfortable.
Staff were wonderful, helpful and welcoming. Room was as requested, clean and well presented. Breakfast was outstanding. Hotel offer of Happy Hour snacks and wine was a delightful bonus. Will be recommending the hotel to others.
An excellent hotel, located great!
We were upgraded without our request. Very kind and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent!
Super friendly and helpful staff in a good location. Decent breakfast. Rooms are a little dated
A Comfortable Stay
Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Generous breakfast options and the happy hour btwn 5-7pm is a nice touch. This is our hotel whenever we are in Jerusalem!
Stay was very helpful in making reservations for dining and transportation. Quiet location. Breakfast was very good.
Great for travelers in Jerusalem
Excellent location, clean boutique hotel and very kind staff. Excellent for trips in the center of Jerusalem
Just a beautifully appointed room in the best possible location in the heart of Jerusalem. Good space, easy to access right off Ben Yehuda street and Jaffa rd. Front desk staff were not at all friendly, but they were certainly efficient. Excellent value for the money and the happy hour included every evening was enjoyable-- the wine was delicious and it was charming to sit out on the back patio. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Perfect location, great service, rooms a bit small
Stayed 6 days - after extending by two days initially before I arrived. Both good and bad: Had to pay up front for all 6 days when I arrived. Our room was small - and bathroom was too small. When we wanted to leave and find another hotel, they refused a refund ( with Hotels.com trying for us as well). But...manager upgraded our room to one of their best rooms...30% larger, and better bathroom, and with a balcony - much better! Made our stay so much nicer. Food...in Israel- is beyond expensive, almost dangerously high for everyone, including Israelis...All over the country. Budget accordingly. Not the hotel's fault- they charged $35/breakfast per adult per day. This is everywhere. Even hamburgers in town are $20 each, and $10 each at McDonalds! Location: The best in Jerusalem! Right on a main square, with shops, musicians playing at night, the electric train right next door, super easy walking everywhere - even to the old city. Yes- I would stay again - only if I get their better rooms. In the hotel picture, The Arthur is the taller of the two buildings. Located in a walk-only square, no cars allowed! A little challenging to find, but easy once you know the "streets" nearby.
Great little hotel
Friendly and efficient, great happy hour and breakfast
Fantastic staff, very nice breakfast, charming hotel. Close to shopping, restaurants and train, too.
Super staff, room less so.
The staff are excellent - friendly, engaging, helpful. Location is excellent for walking the city. Bed was good - clean, good linens. Room was too small for 2 people, no place to move if not on bed. Room was very loud - street noise all night long and window did not shut properly. Overall condition of room was on-the-way-to failing. Pretty run down in bathroom and bedroom, with legs broken on furniture, chipped and moldy tiles.
Nice little hotel, well maintained, in the heart of Jerusalem. welcoming stuff, quiet room, Happy Hour, and nice breakfast.
A very nice hotel in an excellent location. Within two minutes walk from Zion Sq. Nice room. Comfy bed. Free WiFi. Plenty of power hookups. Parking is off site but paid through hotel with free in-out. Nice breakfast. Hotel is only accessible by foot on cobblestone. Nearest vehicle access is two blocks away. Plenty of food and entertainment around.
great hotel in center of jerusalem
very good hotel, clean, happy hour great. in the center of jerusalem. parking available by the hotel in parking lot.
in the middle of everything
very good
Great location .nice and cozy hotel
Wonderful hotel in a great location! Would definitely stay again upon returning to Jerusalem.
Very friendly staff, decent size room for the price point. Great breakfast. Great location
The staff were fantastic the only issue was with street noise at night - need triple glazing!!!
Central location. Beautifully decorated. It can be loud at night because it is right in the city center.
Best location to visit the old city,, Many shops and restaurants right outside the door of the hotel, Happy hour at 5-7 is very nice ,lots of nibbles, and good wine provided to guests, Rey good. Real fast and staff are helpful and courteous.
Hotel was very welcoming. Breakfast was very good with a great selection. Excellent location. Lovely room. Great staff.
the hotel is perfect- great location, very nice staff and good price!
Breakfast was excellent and with a wide array of things to choose from. Hotel rooms are highly variable in terms of room size as in most boutique hotels. Staff was very helpful. The only negative is that the hotel is not approachable via car (pedestrian only street). When I was leaving, the cart that takes passengers from hotel to a street where cars run was not operational. Had to drag 3 bags over cobblestones for a substantial distance. I didn’t get any help with the luggage either. Apart from this minor issue the stay was as close to perfect as it gets in a boutique hotel.
The hotel is located in a center of Jerusalem. Rooms are clean and have space. Breakfast is very good. The guy at front desk Noam was the best, he was always ready to help us.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Happy hour a very enjoyable inclusion.
Central location. Friendly, helpful staff. Nicely decorated room.
Lovely boutique. Perfect location. Would come back again.
Location is great, not as quaint as before since hotel expanded upwards to almost 60 rooms. But a great option, most of staff is friendly. I would return.
100 % among the best hotels
Arthur Hotel gave most amazing service while you stay there. From the front desk, the delicious food, and cleaning service, all the staff are among the BEST SERVICE IN THE WORLD! I will encourage people to stay in this hotel if they will like to be treated like home.
Good facilities and breakfast. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
The place is excelent, some minor details in the furniture. good brakfast, it would be better if they had an fresh eggs station.
Fantastic boutique hotel located in the vibrant Ben Yuhuda pedestrian mall. Incredible staff that goes out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. A great shoutout to Noam !!
Overrated hotel
The size of the room is too small even for one person. The parking is in a different hotel and it’s a challenge to enter and exit. Don’t recommend for people with cars. Poor value for the money. The Arthur hotel is overrated.
Almost a 10
I would give this hotel an EXCELLENT review wouldn't it had been for the terrible experience at the check-in when the clerk was not there, made us wait for 15 minutes because he was busy at the kitchen and when he showed up, apologized for " the 2 minutes that you guys had to wait for me"..... Apart from that, the experience with F&B was amazing. The lady that manages the breakfast room was absolutely great, the waiters super attentive and the food delicious. Tom and Aliza at the front desk were AMAZING....... Will be back and hopefully not have to deal with the bitter, sarcastic clerk.. :-)
Excellent location. In the heart of Jerusalem. Pedestrian street. Uplifting environment. Rooms well-appointed and very comfortable. Staff excellent. 100% wonderful Israeli breakfast.
Perhaps the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Great location, lovely breakfast and happy hour, outstanding staff.
Very nice staff, especially front desk and kitchen crew. The rooms are small but comfortable.
Fantastic hotel right in the city centre
I had been recommended this hotel and it managed to exceed my expectations! I truly can't find any fault with my experience from the beginning to the end of my stay.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and happy hour. Room and bathroom lovely but a touch small.
It was a well located hotel with friendly staff.
Breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and always pleasant. Afternoon tea was a nice touch and I would recommend this hotel to any visitor to Jerusalem.
Wonderful break...
Very special decoration, services are excellent, breakfast is very special and tasty.located in a heart of the city but still give a feeling of cozy and peaceful. Very easy to get to Mahne yehuda market and a few other Jerusalem attraction, there are a lot of bars and restaurant around.
The staff at the front desk are the most accommodating and nicest of any hotel I have stayed on my 3 recent trips to Israel. The bed is great. Location is ideal. My room was somewhat small but I was a single and expected one of the smaller rooms. I did want a room with a small balcony and the staff were able to put me in a room with balcony after my first night.
Convenience and comfort in the middle of Jerusalem
This is a great boutique hotel. Our room was on the small size, but we had a little balcony, which was appreciated. It's comfortable place, in a convenient area of Jerusalem.
Excellent location and staff. Everybody was great - Sharon and Aliza were especially helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Great location, can be a bit noisy if you keep your window open but comfortable and elegant . Breakfast was just fine, nothing spectacular. Overall - recommend
Can't Imagine a better Place to Stay
The Arthur is a wonderful small hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and the location is terrific, in walking distance along Jaffa Street to the Old City in one direction and the wonderful food market in the other. We found the room very comfortable and charming with old photographs on the wall. It is not a large room but more than met our needs particularly with the generous closet space. Breakfast offers a wide variety of fruits, salads, hummus, breads, and two lovely hot dishes. It is both delicious and nutritious. Icing on the cake is the wine (tea also) and pastries and other fare offered between five and seven in the evening. If you've had a long day and want to collapse in your room, it can easily serve as a light dinner.
Centre of Jerusalem
Fantastic staff and managers. Perfect position in the city.
Heart of Jerusalem
Great position and fantastic staff. Good value.
nice hotel
convenient position near restaurants and shops and market. Helpful staff. Short walk to the old city. Excellent breakfast.
The Arthur Hotel is charming and centrally situated but unfortunately there is a very loud bar with live music next door. I could hear the music until after midnight the two nights I was there even though my room didn’t face the street. I wouldn’t go back because of this noise.
Lovely hotel in a great location
I only stayed one night, but I could not have been more pleased with the room, cleanliness, breakfast (wow!), and friendly/attentive staff. Perfect location right off the Jaffa Street light rail provides easy access to everything.
Hotel in great position
Lovely hotel, good facilities and friendly staff. The only problem was that the air conditioning was not switched on (apparently it's winter over there), and opening the window made it too noisy to sleep comfortably.
Charming!
I loved the ambiance and the decor. It had a very turn-of -the-20th-century feel of Jerusalem. Perfect location too.
Excellent hotel
Nice!
Small hotel in great location. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast.
The street noise can be disturbing for some rooms late night but in general an excellent hotel.
Central hotel with great breakfasts!
The Arthur is located in a pedestrian area in central Jerusalem close to restaurants and the light rail. The rooms are fine. The stand out feature is the excellent buffet breakfast - everything you could expect in an Israeli breakfast, There are also free drinks and snacks in the evening.
It's ok
The rooms are nice but small and can be a bit noisy. Unfortunately WiFi is slow, there is no minibar or even any water offered, no bar, no room service... Good location thought and friendly staff.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Very central to old Jerusalem, and light rail. Cafes and Restaurants right outside the hotel. Loved it.
Great Boutique Hotel.
Arthur Hotel was conveniently located. Thought staff was very efficient and helpful. Loved Happy Hour. Breakfast was excellent along with the staff. A little noisy at night due to music in the street. Thought bathroom could have used a little more shelving. Would definitely stay again.
Great boutique hotel in the middle of a lively area in proximity to the old city. Fantastic breakfast - typical atmosphere. Would recommend
Lovely Boutique Hotel
Great hotel. No complaints. Brilliant location. Aliza & Eran are wonderful . Breakfasts were great, albeit a little too oily.
Great Place
Nice boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, walking distance from many places you need to go including Old City and Jerusalem's market. Staff is courteous, friendly and well informed. Great breakfast and enjoyable happy hour. Down side is rooms are small. Not a big problem since you shouldn't be spending much time in it.
Arthur is AWESOME!
Another winner in the Atlas Hotel Chain. They totally up the level of service and the staff at every Atlas hotel is exceptional. Ahmad, Eran, Eliza were all friendly and highly professional. Hard to find by car but worth it! Quiet, well appointed boutique rooms, nice Israeli breakfast. I'll be back!!
Lovely stay
Very helpful reception staff. Delicious breakfasts and happy hour snacks. Cody atmosphere. Good location for sights.
Excellent hotel for young professionals traveling
Great staff, location is great to walk around the city or hop on the tram. Would recommend to young professionals traveling who want a great hotel that includes breakfast and is easy to navigate to and from.
Great choice for exploring Jerusalem
Fantastic choice in Jerusalem- within easy walking distance of the Old City and close to the Jerusalem Light Rail on Jaffa Road. The hotel is full of character, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is substantial.Would definitely consider this hotel on a return trip.
NO EXPERIENCE, THEY CHARGE ME FOR OUR ROOMS AFTER I HAD PAID EXPEDIA ALREADY AND STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO REINVURSE MY ACCOUNT ONE WEEK LATER.IM VERY ANOID AND UPSET HAVING TO PAY TWICE FOR 2 ROOMS SPECIALLY WHEN THEY DIDNT EVEN CHANGE THE LINEN FOR A WHOLE WEEK.
Lovely hotel beautiful City
Lovely comfortable hotel close to the Jaffa gate and the old city about a 12 minute walk. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient nothing is too much trouble. Pleasant rooms and a very good breakfast. The icing on the cake was the wine and snacks in the bar after a day enjoying the sights. A lovely place to stay
Beautiful rooms
Beautiful rooms, location hard to get to with cars.
I love the staff of this hotel, highly recommended
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. My stay was lovely, the staff were wonderful and very friendly. The hotel has a great location, very close to the Market and the Old city of Jerusalem. The hotel is very clean, they provide complimentary bottles of water- which it's awesome!. Breakfast was off the hook!!!! LOVED IT!!! Happy hour everyday which it's also great! I only had one inconvenience there, but it was not the hotel fault, it was the tour company that the hotel uses for guests who want to take tours. Rent- a-guide is the company- this tour company is not too good and don't care about their customers, the tour guides are not very friendly. I took a tour with this company and on our way back to the hotel there was an issue caused by this company, Rent-a-guide. I spoke to the Front desk staff and explained the situation, they called the tour company and they declined to do some kind of refund. Then Ayala, the GM showed up, her staff and l explained her the situation. She, called directly this company and had a serious talk with this people. Thanks to her the tour company gave us a refund of 50% because of the inconvenience caused by them. I felt appreciated and the hotel staff really care about their customers. The Arthur hotel will be the only reason why l would come back to Jerusalem. Thanks Ayala and all the front desk staff! You guys made our stay AMAZING! I love everything about this hotel and the staff are incredible AWESOME!
Great location and good hotel for sightseeing.
Great hotel for sightseeing and location is fantastic. Because the hotel is in the middle of the city centre, it was a bit of hassle dragging a big suit case through cobblestones streets, but it's not a big deal at the end of the day. It only takes 2min walk to the closest street where you can arrange for a taxi. Great location and good hotel.
Great place to stay in Jerusalem
Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Room comfortable and clean.
Great location. Wonderful breakfast.
Small rooms and very small bathroom. Would be too small for 2 people.
The Perfect Place to Stay in Jerusalem
Great location; beautiful room; friendly and helpful staff; terrific breakfast buffet; reasonable price.
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Arthur Hotel! Everything was over and above our expectations. Our room was very comfortable with all the amenities you could ever need. Our bed was SO comfortable! The staff were amazing, full of helpful suggestions, advice and directions. Nothing was too much trouble! When we lost a bag and my phone at the Dead Sea they contacted the tour company, somehow managed to locate it and arranged to have it delivered to our next hotel in Tel Aviv. Words can't describe how grateful we were. Ayala, the regional manager and Eran at the front desk went to incredible lengths to help us. A huge thank you to both of them. Breakfast was fantastic! There was a huge selection of hot and cold dishes. From the traditional shakshuka to freshly cooked eggs to cereal and everything in between! Ori at breakfast was so friendly and he made the BEST coffee! He knew what our favorite coffees were after the first day! Another delightful surprise was Happy Hour between 5-7. Not only was there wine, juices and coffee, there was a hot pasta dish, cakes, biscuits, savouries, crackers,....It was amazing and very generous of the hotel to provide such a nice daily event. The location couldn't have been better. Everything was walkable or a short light rail ride away. Ben Yehuda and Jaffa Streets was a 2 minute walk and the Old City was a 15 minute easy walk. All in all, we felt very much at home and can't wait to return for another visit very soon.
Nice boutique hotel in a great location
The location is perfect for walking to the Old City and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Our only criticism would be that the room was very small and yet comfortable. A bit of a challenge for them to manage guests arriving with luggage as the hotel is in a pedestrian zone but it is handled efficiently by drop offs and pick ups at their close-by sister hotel and golf cart transportation between the two. Would definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to the fascinating city of Jerusalem.
Nice hotel very central in a pedestrian street.
We drove to Arthur hotel but needed to park our car in their sister hotel - the Harmony hotel. The hotel itself is located in a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants and cafes. It is only few minutes away from the old city Jaffa gate. The breakfast is great.
