We had a great experience at Arthotel. The location to old town is perfect. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was delicious. And the room was the right mix of modern and historic.

This hotel was in a perfect location. About a block away from the main area which was ideal. Quiet but still convenient. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

The staff was helpful and courtious and the area was very charming and old world!

The detailed explanations and kindness of the hotel staff were really great. The newly renovated hotel is a wonderful mix of past and present. The comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms were nothing to complain about. The location is also great, allowing you to walk to almost all the places of interest in Heidelberg. If I come to Heidelberg again, I will choose this hotel again.

Staff were lovely and helpful - hotel has an upscale boutique vibe. Our room was immaculate and up to date. I will say that the sliding frosted glass doors to the bathroom, toilet room and shower were quite loud and rumbly to slide back and forth, and we could hear other rooms opening and closing theirs too. If you're travelling from North America, be aware that mini-fridges aren't available and don't seem to be common in German hotels. We really appreciated having air conditioning in the room, as it was a very hot week! The location is ideal for exploring Heidelberg - close to old town, castle and university sites.

One of the most beautiful rooms I have stayed in. Modern design, beautiful outdoor patios on ground and second floor, helpful staff. I only wish the restaurant had been open when I stayed.

Our stay in Heidelberg

The room was lovely and spacious, the service was amazing. Pedro was fantastic and helped us check in late and helped bring our bags all the way to our room. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and our room had a wonderful view too. Will definitely be back.

We booked very last minute as the hotel we were in was terrible. So found this place, got there late on Sunday, the man in reception was very kind. Gave me clear instructions on parking etc Room was awesome.

I loved the staff and the breakfast buffet was very nice.

Absolutely beautiful and clean facility. The staff was great! We booked a room which had three areas: the bathroom, the sleeping area, and a lofted sitting area. Strong wifi, attached Restaurant and bar, parking garage, and the bus stops right out front. It’s an easy walk to the Altstadt. It was also great because our room had AC!! (Kind of rare and we were very glad as it was 95° / 30°). I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful service - beautiful accommodations - walkable - convenient!

Nice Hotel. Very modern behind the historic facade. The side/alley facade is mostly glass. The man at reception was so nice: showed us to our room, taught us how to use the AC and set it to cool the room while we went out during a hot day. AC works very well. It was easy to reach by car using Google maps. Paid parking on a lower floor was easy. The garage is reached using the alley to the left of building.

We absolutely loved this stay! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The property was beautiful and so close to everything. On site parking was perfect. Our room was immaculate. This is a great find in Heidelberg. We walked up the mountain to the castle and rode the funicular down. It was about 5 blocks from the hotel. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Immaculate room with excellent location. The staff was excellent with visiting sites’ suggestions and highlighted maps.

The room and property were very nice. When we checked in we were told where the breakfast was severed. What we weren't told was that breakfast was an extra charge. No notice on the tables either. The breakfast presented was microscopic. A couple of mini plates of bread and cold cuts/fruit/vegetables. Really a minimalist presentation. We were told we could order other items but again no menu selection. Then getting gouged on the price of this breakfast was very disappointing. Would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

What an amazing property! Front desk staff go above and beyond by helping plan out activities to showing you around the property. The room was very clean, cozy, warm with everything you need. The rooms are unique.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Arthotel in Heidelberg. Tom, the general manager, was super helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean, AC worked great and the location was in the heart of the Altstadt. We give this hotel the thumbs up and a 5 star rating. Will definitely stay there again.

Good, not great

The best of the hotel is it's location, at the heart of everything you may want to do walking distance. It has an underground parking that you better reserve in advance and was charged 17.5 euros per night. It was clean, had a nice painting on the ceiling above the bed and staff was nice. It was overpriced though.

Hôtel très bien situé près du centre, quartier calme, grande chambre très classe, style moderne, bien éclairée, climatisée efficacement, belle sdb, garage (payant) très pratique. Petit-déjeuner bien, un peu cher. Personnel agréable et disponible.

Hôtel aménagé de manière moderne et fonctionnelle, grande chambre, climatisée, SdB très belle et confortable avec douche et baignoire. Lit confortable. Equipé a l’Allemande de couettes bien trop chaudes. Petit déjeuner très copieux (payant). WiFi gratuit capricieux le soir. Garage payant très pratique. Personnel très agréable. Situation géographique parfaite: tout à pied ! L’accès à quelques chambres nécessite quelques marches.
