Well located hotel with firm beds

The hotel is well located in Salamanca and walking distance to most sights. The staff were friendly and the rooms very clean. The bed was quite firm and whilst some people prefer that, I found it too uncomfortable for me.

Some people wrote bad reviews is not true ! We like this hotel . Parking is small but even good enough for my Range Rover . Will come back staff excellent well done !

Great place small communications issue.

The only problem was I wasn’t told there was a huge parking fee. When I went to leave they tried to charge me but I refused to pay because I wasn’t told before hand. Other than that great place to stay very central and great service.

Good Stay

The room was very clean, it looks like the hall and room were just rehabbed. Beds were good. Location is a 7-8 minute walk to the old town Plaza Mayor. Many restaurants, shopping, people watching. Hotel has parking for a fee and breakfast for a fee.

Somewhat stuffy hotel but good location for historic center, train and bus stations. Several restaurants within easy reach. Breakfast has a lot of variety but the best thing about it is the fresh fruit. Thermostat didn't work for heat which only came out of the bathroom radiator.

Es una hotel muy lindo y con muy buena ubicación. Sin embargo el Servicio al Cliente deja mucho que desear. Algo que con seguridad pueden mejorar. El aire acondicionado es central lo que no te permite controlar la temperatura en tu habitacion. Pienso que esta última informacion deberia comunicarse a los huespedes antes de reservar.

Great Stay

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago. The Hotel has undergone an update. The room had a lot of charming decorations. It was very clean, the bed was good, breakfast for a fee. Located in an excellent area for acess to the old town.

What a hidden gem!

Wow! Everything about this hotel was terrific. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The room was nice, the wifi worked well, and the bathroom was huge compared to most places we'd stayed. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor, with many sites to see in between. I would rebook this place without a second thought, it was that great.

Nice and comfortable hotel very close to the city center, restaurants. Parking cost was rather high and unexpected. Salamanca is a beautiful city and well worth the trip

Salamanca is worth to stay overnight!

Great location of hotel in city center. The hotel has a very classy, stylish interior in the lobby and rooms. Really liked it. Breakfast fast very nicely presented and tasty.

Very clean room, modern and well appointed. Parking garage is a very tight fit. I suggest the valet parking around the corner from the hotel. Great location on the ring road that goes around the old town. Plenty of restaurants around the property. I strongly recommend it.

Three nights spent here and they were very comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable and well lit with lots of cupboard / wardrobe space.

This hotel was better than we thought it would be. The staff were great and the location was phenomenal. I would stay here again.

Nice place

The staff are very nice and accommodating. The hotel is a bit noisy, since the windows are old, but the beds and baths are comfortable and spotless. The breakfast is generous.

Convenient and confortable

Arrived at the same time as a tour bus full of guests. Check in was efficient, got help from the front desk staff to unload our luggage. Parcking ( € extra ) at a lockup garage. Tight fit, good maneuvering required. Excellent location, short walk to the old city. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. breakfast had 3 different choices ( and very reasonable € ) full buffet, american ( set with eggs to order) and continental. Good value for money!

Nice little hotel

Well.. We stayed for 2 nights.. And the location is good, very close to the center and plaza mayor. The staff is average.. Sometimes there was a nice guy, sometimes a grumpy one. The breakfast is not the best but you can drink coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The beds are not the best but the sheets are good and the room is very clean. The bathroom is very clean too. The air conditioning works good, the wifi is so so.. They can improve the deco.. Seems a little bit tacky..and outdated.. It's only a matter of taste.. But overall the hotel is good

Decent hotel but it's not in the beautiful part.

This hotel is ok you will have stayed in better and worse in your time. As a romantic getaway this hotel is more for the maturer age group. As someone who had not been to salamanca before i would have stayed a bit closer to the pretty end near the museums had i known, but nothing is too far away in salamanca. The service in the bar wasn't great but they were busy with new year diners. Hotel is clean and the staff were friendly.

Easy access hotel - 5 Minute walk to major sites

This hotel is modern and well located - about a five minute walk to the Plaza Mayor and University sites. The lobby and public area sites are decorated in a baroque style. Parking on site for a fee but garage is a tight fit for a larger vehicle.

Well positioned but a bit noisy

The hotel is well positioned and well equipped, but whilst the room ad double glazing on the windows a bit of maintenance is required to make them fit wellenough to stop outside noise

Salamanca was a lovely city. This hotel was very ornate - gilded and eliboratlt decorAted in a taste that was not in character with the historic nature of the city.

Tearfully Hard Bed

Lovely, older style, in town Hotel. Helpful staff with good English skills. An easy walk to the Old Town and a lot of the sights. However, this was definitely the hardest bed we have ever tried to sleep on. That is the only reason for the low overall rating. The hotel should consider having mattress toppers that would make the bed deeper and softer. We very nearly had a sleepless night because of the bed. Only exhaustion made us sleep, and I was driving to Madrid the next day, so sleep was important! Salamanca is a beautiful city with excellent sites and the vibrancy of a University Town.

Clean, close to downtown. Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Kept our bags after we left for basicaly a whole day. Wi-fi was available.

Good Old Town Location

Hotel is located just on the edge of the Old Town, Also very convenient for shopping streets and various bars/cafes. Hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Family Visit

Hotel offers great value and is centrally located within a 10 minute walk to Plaza Mayor-the center of the city and within a short distance to shops, and major attractions. Friendly staff,. Available WiFi, small refrigerator and safe deposit available at no extra cost. Hotel close to restaurants, great pastry shop around the corner and ample options for tapas.

Only problem wi-fi did not work inside the hotel room. It worked great in hallway and every where else. Maybe it was just my room.

Lovely Hotel

I stayed at Artheus for two nights in July -- hotel is close to the Plaza Mayor (5 minutes walk), and has the advantage of being far enough away to be quiet at night. Staff were very responsive and courteous, and the room was elegant and clean. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

overall not bad. Nothing really to complain about for a quick overnight visit to Salamanca (besides noisy upstairs neighbors. Small room. But like I said, overall not bad. Nothing was great though either, except the bartender downstairs was very friendly and patient with my horrible Spanish. The city is amazing, and you're within about a mile from all the great sites.

Good location for central Salamanca. Nothing wrong with this hotel. Rooms very well appointed. A bit noisy outside at night but you can't blame this on the hotel. No complaints except water pressure was rather low at peak times and only a couple of English language channels on the TV (a bit disappointing for an allegedly four star hotel). No business centre, swimming pool or gymnasium, so I would rate this hotel as a three star plus rather than four star. Good choice at the buffet breakfast, although the hot food rather limited and of dubious quality.

Hotel muito aconchegante, café da manhã muito bom, estacionamento prático e pago. Uma ressalva sobre o aquecimento do quarto. Sentimos muito calor. Preferíamos o ar condicionado ligado. Sabemos que a cidade é fria, mas nós estamos sentimos calor. Em dezembro retornarei com minha a Salamanca e ficaremos neste hotel.

El hotel está a pocos minutos del centro a pie. El trato del personal inmejorable. Las habitaciones, teníamos dos, limpias silenciosas y amplias. El único defecto es que en una de ellas no funcionaba el frigorífico. Pero tampoco lo utilizamos.

Desdé el primer momento no se nos dió ninguna ayuda para solucionar nuestro problema y nos vimos en la calle.. desastre de hotel

Wir waren eine Nacht dort und es war alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Check in und out schnell und problemlos. Zimmer und alle anderen Bereiche sehr sauber. Betten bequem. Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit, gutes Frühstück nur der Kaffee war nicht so toll, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten , Bars und Restaurants fussläufig erreichbar. Das Hotel hat ein Parkhaus welches wir nicht genutzt hatten, andere größere Parkhäuser in Fußläufiger Nähe. Vielen Dank schöner Aufenthalt

Hôtel de style , bien décoré, de beaux lustres et de beaux tableaux dans l’entrée et la salle du petit déjeuner . Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique. Le centre ville est accessible à pied, on a pu visiter facilement la cathédrale etc … contente de mon choix . Je le recommande vivement.

Para empezar nos alojaron en una habitación con una ducha que resbalaba bastante, mi marido casi se cae duchándose, cuando en las especificaciones del hotel aparecía que tenían bañera con hidromasaje, también había muchísimo ruido de la calle, ni las ventanas aislaban del ruido, eso si el personal muy amable nos propusieron cambiar la habitación pero ya para lo que quedaba no nos compensaba

Para empezar, te engañan porque la fachada no es lo que aparece en internet, te cobran por hacer check in después de las 11 p.m., las habitaciones demasiado sucias, no te ponen jabón, agua, se está cayendo el hotel, todo insaluble, demasiado sucio, paredes todas manchadas y dañadas y el personal las dos señoras que están por la Mañana del viernes 20 de octubre gritaban y no dejaban dormir y al hacer check out les reclamas y son groseras porque dicen que entonces no vengas y que eso es el hotel, que tienen más clientes. Por usar secadora te piden depósito de 20 euros. Y por si fuera poco había cucarachas en el lobby. Tengo fotos de todo
