Cute hotel but very small

I know it’s typical for Japan. But the rooms are TINY!!! Hardly any shelves or drawers. For two people we were stepping on each other. Bathroom is minuscule. Only ate bkfst there once. Not the best so we ate elsewhere. Walls are thin. We could easily hear neighbors and upstairs. Otherwise it’s nice. Big lobby but again why not have a small lobby and bigger rooms? Can’t adjust room temp which was frustrating. Room got hot. A light bulb was out. Room a little dark. Staff is great. Clean. Small fridge and tea kettle in room are handy. Love the water bottles, robes and slippers. Very close to Nippori train station which is great. Lots of cafes and eateries nearby. Thanks!

Pros: the location is great, the price is reasonable (and we will find out why later...) Cons: the room is old - and old is fine as long as it is taken care of, but unfortunately I found black mold in the bathroom, we had to ask for the shower curtain to be replaced because the mildew/bacteria growth smell was very strong... and most importantly, YOU DON'T GET TO CONTROL THE A/C. I've traveled all over the world, but I have never stayed in a hotel where you can't control the temperature. Your only control is how much central A/C air you would allow in the room. I.e. if the hotel decides they would blast heat all night, that is the only option. It doesn't help that the window does not open (not an uncommon thing for highrise hotels) so the room is constantly stuffy and I woke myself up coughing every night. They do provide a humidifier and a fan by request, but given the space in the room (aka very tight), you'll have to sacrifice luggage/watlking room to accommodate for them.

5 mins walk from Nippori station. Bed is a bit small for couples. Room size is good enough.

If you like quiet neighborhoods, this place is for you. Many dinning options around the hotel within 5 minutes walk, next to the Nippori station of the Yamanote line, meaning easy access to all the tourist places. Definitely explore the neighborhood and visit the fabric town. Lovely hotel, exceptional stay.

Was given a smoking room that I didn’t want. All and all it was good!

Amazing in its low key, high level professionalism and sincerity.

Great breakfast with nice classical music and Japanese food options. Friendly and helpful staff spoke little English.

Close to Nippori station for easy access to Keisei Skyliner from Narita as well as JR and other subway lines to get around Tokyo. 7-11 across the street and restaurants nearby.

Clean and very convenient ! Only 5 minutes walk to train station. Taking Skyliner from Airport to Nippori only 45 minuets , super convenient ! Will stay again if we come to Tokyo !

Great location with skyliner

The room was clean and well decorated but very small. The bathroom was perfect, took a moment to figure out the sink tap and shower combo. Loved the bidet feature. Breakfast was unusual for our Canadian taste but it was an opportunity to experience something different. The food in the area was outstanding and the fabric street was amazing.

Art Hotel Nippori is the best!

Art Hotel Nippori Lungwood is a great value in a perfectly situated neighborhood. This was my third stay since Japan re-opened from COVID lockdown. Easy to get to from Narita via Keisei Skyliner. Hotel has awesome breakfast buffet. Staff is super friendly! Amenities galore in very close walking distance.

Can’t adjust air condition by yourself,since the room is small the temperature was too high!

Art Hotel Nippori Lungwood is a modest, well-priced and well-maintained legacy hotel located astride the well-situated and appealing neighborhoods of Nippori (Fabric Town) and historic Yanaka. On my first visit, I fell in love with the easy access from Narita Airport to Nippori Station, the two minute walk from station to hotel, the people at the 24-hour staffed front desk, the business-sized and ultra-clean rooms. The individual air-purifiers were a classic bonus. So too was the easy to figure out washer-dryer combo in the guest laundry. Not to mention that one of the laundry vending machines is stocked for cocktail hour with lemon sours and a Jack Daniels/Coca Cola combo! The breakfast buffet (Japanese and Western) is definitely to write home about. All the selections are curated, both soulful and home style. A sample charming detail was a fresh fruit cocktail designed to look like old-style canned fruit cocktail - but here served alongside Japanese yogurt and kiwi or strawberry coulis. In that vein, the choice of relishes for rice and fish were traditional yet the variety was luxurious. Don’t get me wrong, this hotel is neither luxury nor perfect, but it’s not meant to be. It has a clear sense of identity: premium in its heyday; serviceable and well-maintained today; priced for value. These are qualities esteemed in Japan and confirmed by the high number of local and repeat guests, business travelers, wedding parties, rotary clubs, etc. Count me as a repeat.

I was the first to visit this hotel. Jumping up, I think that’s very cool!

Hotel is old and on the smaller side but it balances out with how conveniently close it is to the train station for commuting and to access the airport.

Mins walk to station. Very peaceful n quiet neighbourhood with local stores. We were at breakfast around 915am and most of the food were gone with not much replenishment. Breakfast was about 1500yen per person.

It’s very convenient, just about 5 min walk from Nippori station, which is one of the stops of Skyliner from Narita Airport. There are a lot of eateries around the hotel.

Just renovated. Very nice and convenient place!

Conveniently located near Nippori station which has Skyline directly from Narita airport and easy access to other part of Tokyo. Also within walking distance from Yanaka Ginza shopping street and a few food f&b outlets like Burari and Kitchen Fork.

A large room for 3 with 2 TVs and small lounge area . Reasonably priced

ホテルマンの人に、多少失礼な対応をされた。特にチェックアウトの際。 最上階だったが、なかなか騒ぎがせっそうであった。部屋の掃除は、多少ほこりがかぶっているのではないかと思った。とくにバスルームなど。 エレベーターに乗る時は、降りる時など、夜にも時間をとられることが長く、1人の女性が泊まるだけにしては、安全性が懐疑的であった。 自動販売機は、飲み物を買ったとき、170円の商品を買ったが、200円を入れて、おつりが20円で、10円足りていなかった。近くにいた東南アジア系の掃除のおばさんに聞いたが、わからないと言われてしまった。10円のためにフロントに行くような形になるところだった。安全第一を考えて、朝方のレストランのお客さんが多いので、1階のフロントには行かなかったが、チェックアウトの際に言えばよかったのか？ホテルマンの方がなんだか重要な場面でヒソヒソとしてくるので、差別の気配があったので、信用して話ができなかった。

房間中央冷氣太熱了，浴室抽氣吾夠，房間整潔及服務好，交通方便，鄰近有便利商店及小店。

十分な広さ。清潔だし、フロントスタッフも丁寧でした。

広い部屋ではなかったが清潔感もあり良かった。 低反発枕が備えられており快適に眠れました。

나리타를 이용한다면 다음에도 이곳에서! 다만, 묵었던 객실(819호)의 욕조이용시, 배수가 잘 안되어 욕실 전체가 물바다였습니다.

특히 아침 식사가 맛있었습니다. 잔반적으로 깔끔하고 가성비가 좋았습니다

とても綺麗な部屋でした！ 連泊しましたが、きちんと清掃されて何のストレスも無く、コスパ良かったです！

전체적으로 만족스러웠다.

다만 아쉬운 부분을 얘기하자면 도어 아래부분이 방음이 안되어 외부 복도 소리가 그대로 들어온다. 커피포트에 어제 썼던 물이 그대로 있었다.
