Not so nice

Room is super small even for European standards. There was a leak through the AC filter that was repaired. Breakfast at the roof is just ok. Internet, just ok. Employee at the front desk in the morning of May 25th was extremely rude when i asked for a receipt for transportation to the airport (arranged by hotel). The surrounding area is nice but you are approached by endless people trying to sell you anything / ripping you off.

The view is amazing! Location is the best in town. Walking distance to the blue mosque and Grand Bazar, and lots of great shops and restaurants. Delicious Turkish breakfast every morning. Staff is wonderful, and they all speak English.

Hassan and Sam were so helpful And made our entire stay incredible. They were flexible and helped us with so much info. The room was very clean and spacious. A lot of things were walking distance and very clean. Absolutely loved the view and the breakfast. The beds were super comfy and from moment from check in to check out everything was 10/10. We look forward to coming back.

The location couldn’t be any better, the staff was wonderful, from the reception to the breakfast help. I will be coming back and staying here for sure.

This place is fabulous, location is the best in town, the views form the breakfast room are breathtaking, you can see the blue mosque in one side and Ahia Sofia to the other side. Clean comfy room, the staff are super friendly.

Location of Property is very good. Everything is at walklable distance. Other than that nothing is good. First rooms are too small and too close to other rooms, that if you knock your room door, the neighnour open the door of his room. Secondly they charge for everything even water bottle. I stayed in many hotels around the world and nobody ever charge for warer bottle. Secondly room has mold smell specially wahroom. Entrance of hotel has 4 or 5 steps, that was not convenient if you accompanied with senior person. Other thing hotel streets are blocked from all sides , so you need to walk little and carry your luggage. Overall I am not satisfied and would not recommend.

This hotel is literally 3 mins walk from Blue Mosque. Our room balcony had a view of Blue Mosque. Their breakfast was very good at the rooftop terrace. Rooms sizes and decor is mediocre. It is value for the money.

Property is fine, but the older guy running the place really reminded me of Basil Fawlty... put me in a big run, said he would have to move me next night... 3 minutes later he comes back and says never mind other room is ready. Later he delivered laundry, 3 minutes later he knocks on the door saying he swapped the wrong shirts, but no, the shirt he was holding wasnt mine and i didnt have someone elses... thank god. Lobby is much smaller than picture looks, fish eye lens. Breakfast was okay, seven hills restrant tasted much better. Owner was a real nice fellow but not there often, younger staff were better... really was like fawlty towers tv shoe with the older guy running the place, i found it very comical, lol.

I am so glad I selected this hotel. It is a small hotel in a fantastic location only few minutes walk from from the Blue Mosque, Sofia, and Topkapi. Restaurants and souvenir shops are all over the place. Although it does not have the glamour of a 5-star hotel, it is quite cozy. Rooms are very clean and the staff are simply awesome. It is the best bang for your money.

The hotel is very well located, right behind blue mosque, so all attractions are nearby, walking distance. The bedroom was very small, shower had some black mold and towels were old. Good for a 1 night stand. Definitely not for a long stay.

I stayed here almost ten days . At the beginning when I booked in Expedia all fine . Breakfast included and smiling faces .Then as I have a travel agency they gave me agent rate which was slightly less and a sign of consideration For them I agreed . They promised breakfast which was bread and omelet and coffee . Last three days : they never came to clean . Last week the front desk guy said No more breakfast as I was the only guest . Last night I went out came back at 2:00 am guess what ? Not only I was kept outside in the cold as he never opened up even though I rang and rang but offered to call the gendarme give me back my money and put me out at 3:00 asI had dared to ring the bell . I ignored him and went to sleep . I don’t think this service by the front desk Deserves any praise and ladies please be careful here.The front desk guy has A very sour disposition.

The hotel was very clean, perfect location and walking distance to popular tourist attractions. The host was very welcoming and helped a lot with directions and taxis. Would definitely recommended to anyone to stay here and very cheap! Definitely would stay here again

Was very happy with my stay, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. My only complaint was that the wifi didn't work well, but still very happy and satisfied with my stay and would stay here again!

The hotel is in the Sultanahmet area where all the attractions are just 5 minutes walk,Blue mosque,Hagia Sophia,museum etc,the tram station is just 7 minutes walk where it will take you the Eminoun area where you can take ferries to the Asian side and bosphorous tours.

Loved the friendly and super helpful staff. Room was amazing,spacious and clean. I just wished had some basic amenities such as a phone, iron. The staff helped us order in food as most of the menus were in Turkish and we didn’t understand anything. Would definitely stay there again

This is the worst hotel I have been in this trip in Europe. The staff cant manage problems. The problem here was the toilette. It dis not flush. They send someone to make it work and when we get to the room the toilette was dirty. And thean from the lobby counter said that it was not his problem that he could not do anything at all. That we had to wait until tomorrow that the repair it again. It is a very dirty hotel. The food was awful. It look food from a day before. Never staying in that hotel again!

The location is excellent- 1 block to Hagia Sofia, 1 block to Blue Mosque, 2 blocks to Topkapi Palace, 2 blocks to metro stop and busy shopping/restaurant street. 10 minute walk to Grand Bazaar. Hotel is on quiet little dead end street but so near to so much. Airport express bus which costs $3 stops in the square 1 block from hotel. Sure beats $60 taxi ride from new Istanbul Airport.

Everything about the hotel was spot on, brillaint in every way, especially the air conditioning, which was superb.

The facility is located near the old town's major attractions. The staff is wonderful, the facilities are clean, and the rooftop view is killer. The breakfasts were delicious and provided a variety of options. I would absolutely recommend this location to any visitors.

This hotel was in a perfect location to see all the tourist sites. Ibrahim at the hotel was just amazing - i did not get to the hotel until midnight and he was waiting for me to arrive. He had also provided me with the bus route to take from the airport to the hotel which saved me $$. He showed me the map of the best areas to visit since I had limited time which was very helpful. Overall, great experience!! Thank you Ibrahim.

Not a family hotel

The location of hotel is very good, close to most of the famous places to visit. However if u just need the hotel for night stay then it's ok, otherwise I would suggest not to go there. Zutsu at the reception was most uncourteous among them. He doesn't know how to behave and couldn't even give an empty bowl for kids leave aside water bottles. Ibrahim and manager are good and helpful. However they won't go beyond their rules to help. Breakfast is average and complimentary water bottles where not there.

My stay was great. The room had a nice decor, and had a stocked fridge and provided coffee. The provided breakfast was an excellent mix of eastern and western choices. staff were reserved, but pleasant. The location is a 5 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Restaurants, bars and mini-marts are nearby. A small bazaar is right on the doorstep. History is everywhere you look, and excellent museums are within walking distance. An added bonus is the rooftop view of the Hagia Sophia and the surrounding area. A great hotel in a great location.

The location of this hotel is excellent!! You can walk just a couple of minutes and you will see Ayasofia and the Blue Mosque. And from there you can take the train to the Eninonu port or the Grand Bazaar

Great location and value. A little tricky to find but once you are familiar with the place it becomes easy. Near lots of restaurants including Korean and Chinese restaurants. The furniture is a little older but ok. Friendly staff.

Budget friendly, clean and an awesome location!

The Aristocrat was an amazing budget friendly place to stay. Staff are amazing. Very helpful and friendly. The room we had was 501 facing the Blue Mosque. Although the room was a little smaller, it made up for it in the spectacular view! Room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Daily housekeeping provided. There is also a kettle, mini fridge and safe in the room. We stayed in Feb 2019 and the prices were $40-45 CDN per night. They also provide breakfast which was ok. We have had better at some of the other hotels but it was sufficient for our needs. We would stay here again.

Excellent location for visiting Istanbul and staying in old city. Located next to park by Sultanhamet tram so easy to get to Taksim, Balat and other places. Easy to get to lots of attractions and the Grand & Spice bazaars. Lots of restaurants / cafes nearby in walking distance. Typical small local hotel. Good breakfast to start the day. Manager and staff very helpful.

What I love about this hotel is its location. Only 1 min walk to Arasta Bazaar, 2 min walk to Sultan Ahmet Mosque, 7 min walk to Sultan Ahmet Station. Breakfast menu is adequate. However, the internet connection is weak. The hotel management should improve this facility.

Clean but Outdated

Hotel is in a good location, service is very good, they really do try to go out of their way to accommodate your needs, nevertheless the hotel is outdated, pillows and beds are not so comfortable, breakfast is nothing to mention, but you get what you pay for, I would rate this hotel at 2.5 stars as far as quality, but service is a definite 5, manager owner and one young man named Mohsin are really great and accommodating, Mohsin (he also has a Turkish name that I don't know) in particular really made our stay very pleasant, this young man will go over and beyond his job duties to make your stay as comfortable as possible with a big smile, If I do ever stay at this hotel again it will only be because of him, I wished I could hire this guy for my business.

I stayed here with two of my friends. Location wise - excellent, you are literally minutes away from the blue mosque, hippodrome, topkapi palace and hagia sophia museum. The metro/tram lines are also very close so you can catch the metro to other places easily. Breakfast - very nice and healthy. Reasonable amount of food and I noticed you could request food on demand which was nice. Cleanliness- we had no issues with our room. The cleaner always cleaned the room nicely and we had the option to choose 'do not disturb' which worked too. Staff - all members of staff were kind and always smiling. Very accomodating and made us feel safe. Helped us with our airport return transfer. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a hotel in the Sultanahmet area. And would come back again.

Good location in central area of old town. Friendly staff. Small room with firm bed. Breakfast was local cuisine (olives, cheese, bread, etc). Rooftop had partial view of water, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

Fantastic! The hotel was extremely convenient very close to Haga Sofia and the Blue Mosque, etc. One can easily take the Metro to and from the airport for less than 4$ US. Clean, polite, elevator, safe, and quiet - great hotel!!!

Excellent Location

We had a room for 3 booked. The beds were very comfortable, rooms a little small but enough space to fit everything in. The shower was excellent. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. The location and value for money are what makes this hotel so fantastic. It literally takes 2 mins and your inside the blue mosque. All the other tourist sites like the topkapi and hagia Sofia are 5 mins walking distance. The owner Malik, is a lovely guy and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We were observing the fast as our stay was in Ramadan. They went out of their way to lay on breakfast early for our Pre-dawn meal. Greatly appreciated. Only negatives are it’s quite a small hotel with a small reception. If your looking for good value, great location in the heart of Sultanahmet this is the place.

Best Hotel location in faith district

The location on the hotel is the absolute best! You can't get any nearer to the sultan ahmed mosque, it's just a minute walk and you're there. The hotel manager was kind enough to warn us of the usual scams that happens in the area. Thanks to him, I avoided getting scammed myself. The rooms were clean and the view from the top was amazing.

The hotel is in very small building. It's close to the Sultanahmet metro station, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The are is quiet and nice for stay. Front Door of the hotel sometimes is closed might think it's not working.

Excellent in every way!

Excellent stay at the Aristocrat hotel with Mr. Sherif and Mr. Ghazi. They took good care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our second stay here. Our twin room was spacious, quiet, clean and the amenities were very comfortable. Location is excellent, a minute from a street of restaurants and cafes, 10 seconds from the Blue mosque and SultanAhmet square. The location, customer service and spacious/comfortable room (power shower was excellent) make the Aristocrat an outstanding hotel, perfect for families, tourism, friends and couples. Enjoy!

Hotel was close to Arasta Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and just a short 7 minutes walk to Sultanahmet tram station. Location of the hotel was very convenient for us. Hotel had a rooftop terrace which overlooks the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Not to forget, its facing the sea too. Staff was helpful. Sahur (pre dawn meal) during fasting month was arranged for us since we're not eating the breakfast which has been included in the package. Housekeeping staff was very kind. I would recommend this hotel.

Super close to the main atractions

We really enjoyed our visit to Istanbul, you need at least 2 full days to see the city...if you have more time, plan to take tours to other locations. The hotel is small but has good service and breakfast was good. Feels very save and accessible.
