Loved the Archer House. Beautiful design, lovely gardens. Enjoyed breakfast and entire property was charming. Would help to. Latifa checkin time with property ahead of time because they were not on site between 2-7( we could not reach manager for checkin for 20 min.

Jackie and Charley were just wonderful. A big thank to Jackie for attending to our laundry .. just wonderful. Great breakfast and felt like we were staying as friends in a beautiful home. Will be back

Loved it

The caretakers were lovely. The house was absolutely amazing. We felt right at home. Having access to laundry was really important to us and everything was there and easy to use. I highly recommend this home. The art and stained glass was a wonderful treat.

Nice and clean, peace and quiet. Was an interesting place to have quests visit.

Simply amazing!

This place was simply amazing! Beautifully maintained, finely furnished, with modern bathrooms and kitchen. This was one of 8 stays on our trip through NZ and by far the most lavish. I wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy the home and the hospitality of the hosts.

Charlie and Jackie our hosts were totally unique! They made us very welcome and gave us lots of information about the area. We were treated to complimentary beer and wine in the most luxurious surroundings.

Archer a House is a historic property, which has a lovely homely feel, combined with a state of the art contemporary kitchen. Facilities are second to none, great breakfast, and hosts extremely helpful for local knowledge, places to visit and onwards journey information. Fabulous gem of a property.

Fabulous house to stay in. Comfortable and beautiful. We were greeted with tea and cookies upon arrival, served by Jackie and Charles. They returned the next morning to make our delicious breakfast. In between we had the run of the house to enjoy with one other guest. Westport itself is not a reason to stop overnight,but the ArcherHouse makes it more than worthwhile.

Stunning , loved it

An absolutely amazing place, stunningly decorated with magnificent artifacts, spotlessly clean with a superb kitchen, wish we could have stayed longer, never stayed anywhere like it …..

A wonderful experience

Archers house was an amazing experience in a stunning property with two lovely people who helped look after the property, Charles and Jacqui. Archers house is a real " hidden escape" and everything you read about it is true. Really wish we could have stayed longer. Tim & Jan

Wonderful B&B

What an amazing house with wonderful hospitality, part museum part high tech kitchen, this house has something for everyone, large rooms with very comfy beds and a great shower with toiletries provided, we were the only guests on our evening so relaxed and enjoyed the house as our own. A wonderful breakfast was prepared for us with no pressure to rush off, this house would appeal to all ages and deserves the high praise it receives.

This is the crown jewel of Westport with tasteful and exquisite decor and comfort. It is luxurious and warm and welcoming for our stay. Charles and Jenny make you feel welcome in their home with a delicious breakfast served in the expansive kitchen and dining area. What a great find on Expedia!

Best B&B on the west coast. Beautiful surroundings, modern but keeps the true herratige intact. Art collection tasteful. West coast worth exploring and spending time in.

Archer House itself is simply beautiful - a stunning mix of traditional and contemporary with lovely gardens - and we feel very lucky to have stayed there. Charles and Jackie were excellent hosts who made us feel very welcome. Staying here has been one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. Our only regret is that we only booked one night!

Fantastic Classy Stay, Don't Look Any Further!

The Archer House is outstanding. A beautifully restored house with a regal feel. Add to that the artwork, and the fabulous hosts Charles and Jackie.

It was a beautifully renovated historic home bright sunny and spacious. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. Breakfast was amazing! Jackie is a lovely host🙂

We stopped off on the way down the coast. The town is small but we enjoyed this b and b very much.

Beautiful B&B historical home

We loved our stay here. The home and grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained by the caretaker couple, who greeted us warmly, gave us lots of information about the area, restaurants, etc., and prepared a very nice breakfast for us the next day. We had the whole house to ourselves, with its gorgeous stained glass windows, 100-year old leather wall coverings, and lovely antique furniture. We got an excellent meal at the nearby restaurant (an easy walk) they recommended. They also recommended an outstanding New Zealand jade carver in Ross, who we visited and bought a very nice piece from the next day. The caretaker man is a professional quality photographer who had compiled a beautiful book about the area's places of interest.

Excellent B and B

This was a lovely relaxing evening the accommodation is unbelievable, and Jackie and Frank are the perfect hosts. One word of caution, don't eat at the Denniston Dog if you go out. It is unbelievably bad

Beautiful B&B in a quiet little beach town.

We had a nice hike by the ocean. Dinners at two local restaurants were very good. The town was recovering from a severe storm but everything we needed was up and operating just fine.

Room with a museum

Great facilities with an amazing collection of art, antique furniture, and collectibles. The new renovations to the kitchen are amazing and the garden will look fantastic in a season or two. Only issue is that the bed mattresses are of the same era as the furniture.

Lovely house

The staff made us feel right at home in this old historical house with lovely rooms and a fantastic kitchen + living room facing a beautiful garden. We can't recommend it enough.

We loved the opulance, & yet the homeliness of the house. Also Jackie & Charles were great hosts, & were so helpful with their extensive local knowledge. It is an unforgettable experience....Would thoroughly recommend it.

Wow!!!!

Archer House far exceeded our expectations and has raised the bar for B&Bs everywhere! The home itself is stunning, the hosts are friendly, knowledgeable and make an exceptional flat white, and the showers are beyond luxurious! Very highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful old villa with lovely furnishings.

A very comfortable place with several different sitting areas and a lovely garden. Jackie and Charles were excellent hosts. Would recommend Denniston Dog's stone grill for dinner.

Stay here if you in Wesport!

Archer house was a most memorable stay. It is the oldest home in Westport, beautiful stained glass windows, embossed leather walls in the entry and lovely treasures from all over world decorate the home. Our hosts, Jackie and Charlie provided a wealth of information about the home and the area. Charlie is a photo journalist and had great insight into the attractions on all of the south island. Wished we'd talked to him prior to scheduling our trip as we would have done a few things differently. Truly a memorable stay. Better do it soon as they are talking about retirement.

Archer House B&B it is very nice place with beautiful garden, very quite place. Perfect place to spend few days and relax. The staff of the the house Jacky and Charles are very friendly and polite. Incredible house that we had for ourselves. Like sleeping in a museum. Well renovated. And the homemade breakfast is just perfect!

Stunning

The most amazing boutique hotel I've ever stayed in. Welcomed with a hot fire and glass of wine. It was just beautiful. I felt like I was staying in someone's amazing home, it was very warm and welcoming.
