We have stayed at the property multiple times and it has always been wonderful. This time was a bit different. Some things at the water park weren’t working as they were being cleaned or fixed. Also at both dinner services, I had to beg a waiter to order drinks and only ended up being able to order once. I was definitely disappointed in the service this time around.

Rooms where clean and big enough for us.The breakfast was fantastic with loads of options. The pool area itself was fantastic. It's a little bit out of the centre so a car would be advisable, but it's also only a short taxi ride into the centre.Overall we where really happy with everything and had an amazing time. Definitely looking to go back.

A Fun Resort

We had the junior suite which is certainly large enough for 3 adults with a king bed and sofa bed. There is a walk in shower and a large bathtub. Included were passes to Aqua World that was a lot of fun.

As always another great stay at Aquaworld. We had a family suite and half board option. Our flight was delayed so we missed dinner the first night so they gave us free lunch one day too. We did have issus with check in because we had been told that they accept American Express and they couldnt seem to run our card and wanted us to pay in cash for the full stay. We were allowed to go to our room and try again in the morning and we found one card terminal that would accept AMEX if mannually entered. The water park was very crowded on the weekend days but the staff handled it well and it never felt uncomfortably crowded. Our kids love Aquaworld and we will definitely return again.

The aquapark was amazing. So many different pools to choose from. The room was clean and convenient. Location is ok, about a 20 mins walk to a retail park with outlets and a supermarket which was nice. Public transport and taxis are easy to use nearby. Breakfast was great, dinner was average. It's a shame drinks and lunch cannot be included in your holiday package as buying drinks and lunch from the aquapark restaurant was expensive. Overall enjoyed our stay here.. really child friendly with their facilities.

An ok hotel, very busy because of the aquapark

An ok hotel, I would give a 3 star. On arrival the reception was extremely busy, but had places to sit in the lobby bar. Disappointing, the armchairs were very dirty and looked scruffy. The rooms were clean and big, but furniture needs maintaining as doors were hanging on some cupboards. The bath robes looked dated too and sadly, guests of hotel don't get a locker in the spa or the aquapark and you are therefore left with no option but to walk around the place in your bathrobe. The food in the restaurant was OK, would say average. Anything that we charged to the room, attracted a service charge that we weren't made aware of it.

Not worth the amount paid

Food was poor, facility was poor with bad smell in bathroom and a broken door.

Unfortunately only stayed one night here but I would definitely return. All of the staff from the reception to the waiting and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. I very much enjoyed my stay. The building itself is slightly dated and the rooms were not completely soundproof; you are able to hear a toilet flushing while walking through the corridor. However, the room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of storage and even a drying rack for clothes. Also, the air conditioning system was very strong which was fantastic. The food options at dinner and breakfast were varied and of good quality. Aquaworld was brilliant. Being a guest in the hotel there is access to it and its slides as well as the oriental spa which had a fantastic sauna world. Plenty of parking on site.

the room was great, the location as well. If we are 3 people it would have been nice to get at least 2 bottles of water...beside the fact that there is a need to pay for everything (even an extra cup or an ice) it was ok. As for the slides, to those that require a float the wait is too long - and not enough floats

The swimming pools are fun, but the weekend we stayed in a hotel was very crowded. Generally, the hotel is an average 4* hotel and you get what you expect, so overall experience was positive and pleasant.

All of it

This is a massive resort catering for families who want to make the most of aqua world. It is 30 mins from the centre of Budapest-you will need a taxi (or bolt app/Budapest go app for public transport). The slides mainly cater with kids with height greater than 1.3m. Aqua world is chaotic at the weekends but a lot more enjoyable in the mornings or after 6.30pm-8.30pm (after the pools close). The apartment was massive and the restaurant did good food in a really well managed environment. There are games rooms and additional activities. The kids will be happy with this choice of hotel!

We had an amazing five day stay at this property whilst attending the F1. It is amazing and would recommend to anyone. I travelled with my two daughters (8 and 13 years) and husband. The rooms are big and very clean. The aqua world is brilliant. Although it gets busy, you save a fortune as it is included in your stay rather than paying for a day pass. The hotel does have access to its own pools which are quieter but my children preferred aquaworld. Breakfast and evening meal are included. A lot of choice and quality is good!! There are a lot of servers making sure it stays clean and asking if you need anything else. Great value, an amazing place and we can’t wait to come back.

Problem with checking in.

The steff was unable to attend to my request. I ordered a ground floor apartment and got one upstairs. Nobody from the staff could give me a good apartment, only blamed someone else.

People on the reception are not polite, they are always busy and never allow me enter the room before 15;00 o’clock (I visited this hotel more than 10 times and always my room is not ready earlier than this time)

Check-in was late. Sink in the room were blocked, bathroom door was not closing.

The restaurant was fantastic, a true gastronomic experience. I highly recommend this stellar dining experience.

Good but they try to charge extra

We really like this hotel and we stay often here. But at this visit because we reserved a standard double room (as usual) they say that we have to pay 15 euro extra if we want a double bed (because they have available just twin standard rooms) and only at superior rooms they have double bed available.. the hotel was not full, we have realize that is a marketing strategy. it is not nice for a client that comes here often. every time we reserved the standard and if there was not avaible standard double we get a superior double with no extra pay. maybe will change this stupid strategy of extra charging the guests. If you take your room cheaper than other websites they actually try to make you to pay extra

Great family hotel

The 2 bed apartment with 2 bathrooms was ideal with teenagers. Great range of food at the breakfast and dinner buffets. Spa complex and waterpark complex were lots of fun.

Nice hotel and amenities

The hotel is in a nice setting close to shopping areas, and it is easy to get to. It is nice and clean, the staff is courteous, the rooms are spacious. The water park was a little disappointing though, it seems that they geared it towards older children. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Nice room. Aquaworld is perfect for a weekend. Very good breakfast. Perfect location for a 2-3 days.

Excellent choice, truly enjoyed our stay.

The property itself was absolutely amazing, the pools and spa was spotless and felt luxurious. The hotel was about 30 mins away from the centre of Budapest and cost around 7000 forint to get there by bolt. The worst part about the hotel was the bar staff. They were extremely rude to us the entire stay, especially a young woman with short 'messy' hair. We were told when you say 'thank you' in Hungary when you pay the bill they expect to keep the rest of your change. We were a bit taken aback by this as the change was 4000 forint... A bit of a large tip to leave to a woman that had barely said a word to us without a scowl on our face! So we then became enemy number 1! The concierge and cleaning staff were all lovely as were the dining staff.

Just a very nice experience

I went there to relax. The place is very nice with a lot of pools but I did not like the fact that was full of kids everywhere even in the Silent Pool. In my oppinion there should be an area only for adults where you can stay relaxed not to hear kids screaming. On top it is very hard to reach in the city centre without a car.

The food, it wasn't what i was especting, I am am connoisseur of the hungarian food and yet i was disappointed and it wasn't just me, a lot of turists had the surprise when ordered the menù alla carte, the choice was limited the quality dibatable and i was hungry after the full menu. Who chose the self service was lucky.

My child is coeliac and the property label allergens on each buffet item. However, the fries are labelled as not having gluten but are fried in the same oil as gluten containing foods. Had we taken this at face value my daughter would have been ill. Once flagged with the restaurant manager though they did a good job of catering for her though the options were limited. We stayed in a two bed apartment which was huge and clean however the kitchenette only had a mini bar fridge and a microwave which meant self catering for lunch wasn’t really an option. Also no tea or coffee in the room although there was a kettle. Aqua world was absolutely fantastic though! Great fun for my daughter who had the most amazing time!

The floor was very plain and not much choice. Staff was very polite although the people that were also at the hotel were not.

All told a great stay...water park was amazing, hotel was good though could have done with more entertainment in the evenings, particularly as there are few facilities or things to do locally. Good variety of food offerings on the buffet..though after a few days does becomes a little ‘samey’, some of the staff seemed a little on the brusque side( could do with some customer service training). Good free shuttle & also frequent local bus service into the city.

Super relaxing place. Rooms huge, clean, modern, decent fridge, plenty of storage. Hotel huge, amazing water park, sauna, gym, kids activities. great buffet breakfast. Far from town, but regular free shuttle bus, public transport, or taxi. Close(ish) to shops, close to nature, good vfm. Don't open bedroom windows at night with lights on in summer, so many insects and mosquitos

The facilities were second to none for enjoymrnt for babies to late teens...food at evening time good....beds were so comfortable..however.staff could show more warmth and friendliness....one lady supervisor in the restaurant in the evening stood out with her smile and warmth but for the most part staff were lacking in personality.

The hotel is very good for families, food is excellent The extra bed is not comfortable, maybe to change the mattress It would be good to add return shuttle later at night as 19:30 is too early

Everything was great and amazing except the the insects which were too many at the balcony and nearby hotel area ....I hope the hotel can do something about.

The rooms are impressive, big and clean. The facilities are wonderful and it's worth it.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a city Break, we had a brilliant time, hotel was amazing, staff were friendly. Rooms were lovely and clean and we had a lovely view. Aquaworld was brilliant had so much fun with all the slides and thermal baths. The free shuttle bus comes and goes to the city centre at very inconvenient times, only two in the morning and nothing till 4:30/5:30pm going to and from the city. On the Saturday night we got the 8pm free shuttle to go into the city to watch the champions league final but there was only 4 of us using the free shuttle baring in mind they use coaches as the free shuttle that seemed a little wasted. There are buses that can be used at the same bus stop for very little money and more frequent. So I would take a little bit more money. However the hotel was soooo worth the little extra money to be a bit out of town, I would recommend this especially for families. Even big kids like us (ages 23&25😂)

Had an amazing stay, great hotel and staff, the only thing that might be a lot better was the food at the hotel/lobby and the beds! They were really uncomfortable and hard.

This could've been great, unfortunately fell short

This could have been great but unfortunately fell short. My family of 4 spent 3 nights here in May. 1st night, not bad - the water was SLOW to heat up for showers/bath and I started to smell sewage gas coming from the bathroom in the evening. 2nd night the smell got extremely worse and then the water in the bathtub came out brown as I let it run to heat up. We reported the issues to the hotel staff and they were very nice and accomadating. However, they were not surprised at our complaints. They did change our room, but said it may not be any better (so a known issue). 3rd night, we had hot showers in our new room but the sewage smell did come thru. Disappointing because the rooms were very big, staff was great, food was good, and the kids loved the waterpark. Note that the WATERPARK is limited for little ones. They have to be +120cm to do most things. My 4 year olds were happy in their play area and the wave pool, but there are even cooler slides they couldn't ride.

Nice spa hotel with fine dining restaurant

We always choose this hotel while in transit. It has a huge spa with slides, our kid really enjoy the stay at this hotel. Entrance at the aquaworld spa is included in the room rate. The a la carte fine dining restaurant is one of my favourite restaurant, incredible food, very similar with Michelin restaurants and cheaper then Michelin restaurants.

Clean, people were friendly, organised, lots of things to do, lovely spa

There are several things you can definitively enjoy: the breakfast, dinner buffet has a lot of food you can easily select from. They are trying to help you if needed but is visible they struggle.. The hotel is silence, is not crowded by people, the amenities are nice, but there are also... Things to keep in mind as you might not enjoy them: they don't speak good English (some speak so bad is a shame for an EU country to have such employees), they can and will easily ruin your mood because they have no idea what is a smile (especially in the pools, spa area), the employees look like they are "cold" people, almost like some robots or overworked employees. The pools were not fully functional, some were working 10 minutes every hour, some slides were working on some days only, and even though the water looked clean, on the bottom of the pool you would see how much dirt was in many places. There is no cup of soda for free included in the lunch/dinner plans and you get no free refill even if you order one. I did not see any bedbugs but i saw stinky bugs in the room. The shower was missing a glass panel and the bathroom package was really light in terms of what was offered. When the room service did the room, they did not refill the shampoo and shower gel, did not refill the water in the minibar (just one bottle on the table) even if they mentioned that the water is free. The towels and bathrobe were clean, but old and with signs of tearing due to multiple wears probably.

Something for everyone.

Everyone is so nice. The saunas are amazing. You can go from red light to Russia sauna to an ice chamber. Salt, crystal, and bio lights. I am sure I forgot some of them. The kids loved all the pools and slides. There is a shopping center within walking distance. The hotel van transports to town, but we came back by underground and bus. Easy. Next time we would do the hop off and on bus to get around town and see more. The Hard Rock has some good memorabilia. Overall a good time for the whole family.

Hotel is great, Aquaworld is lacking

The hotel and Aquaworld should be reviewed independent of oneanother. The hotel and staff are great. Aquaworld staff is nothing but a bunch of lazy kids hiding from the guests doing as little as possible. We had a suite on the 6th floor with great views of the park and city. The city is a bit far, not a big deal if you have a car. The hotel also has anything you would want! The pros: great room, great views, comfortable king in the bedroom with good pillows and linen, refrigerator and safe, bathroom with shower and separate tub and showe, reasy check in, amazing breakfast, great free parking (they have "family" spots closer to the entrance) nice supervised kids club (2 hrs free, with an indoor playplace and leg stations) and of course connected to Aquaworld with all indoor access. Cons: fold out bed was a bit worn and uncomfortable, elevators are a bit weird, Aquaworld staff is a bit pathetic, no towells provided at Aquaworld (take from your room, otherwise you are walking back) Did I mention the pathetic staffing at Aquaworld?

Nice hotel, aquapark is great, crowded, but that do not affects experience. Saunas are crowded and not on same level as rest of hotel, some of them out of order. Room was not ready at 14 when we arrived, and that was fine as checking in time was 15. At 15 we was asked to wait 10 more min, then get back in quee for checking in, and asked to wait for 10 more minutes, ... Room was ready in almost 16. This can be handled better. Check out time is 11, it can be extended for some reasonable price. That was probably reason to have problems to get room intime for check in. Breakfast was nothing spectacular, gluten free options was quite limited.

On checking in at the reception, staff did not seem that welcoming and tended to people who were after us. This improved over the next few days as a result of different staff members. Facilities were very good. With the Aquaworld next door and thermal spa within hotel grounds, it suited every member in our group (11 of us). The one downside is that the shuttle bus times were not very convenient and too infrequent. Only 4 a day and it seemed to cater to locals coming for Aquaworld and not to the hotel users. City centre is around 15 minutes away by taxi at around €20. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Eat Out!

Room, service, amenities, and quiet location were all excellent. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. The only drawback is the onsite restaurant. Since we arrived after 8 in the evening, we chose not to go out. The restaurant was less than acceptable, actually the food was not good at all. It was the worst meal we have had in Europe.

I really got the distinct feeling that the staff did not like English people. They were unfriendly to say the least, despite my efforts to be friendly and nice, one person said that because I was English I was greedy. Whilst I understand the comment, I am not representative of my country, I'm me. Very clean place, get a room pool-facing if you can as the other alternative is a view of the carpark. The food offering in Aquaworld itself was really quite good but take my advice and do not go during rush hour at the zoo because you have to queue at each food section so if you're choosing more than one food type it will go cold. Staff in the waterpark were much nicer than in the hotel, very friendly and had a sense of humour, especially the woman at the bar who was correcting her colleagues mistake of cappuccino instead of a G&T & offered me cappuccino sprinkles, she really made my day in a place where I felt hated.
