Love this property and stayed many times, small and quiet complex with the most friendly staff in a superb location in the village. We will be back!

Nice place.

Very nice stay. Lovely apartment, cleaned every day,towels and bed linen changed regularly. Nice kitchen,well stocked. Lovely bathroom. Very friendly and efficient staff (especially José) All in all,it would take a very picky person to complain.

Wonderful stay at the aqua mar. Apartment had all the amenities needed. All the staff were so friendly and went out their way to help. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and the apartment was always cleaned daily. We would often be in the room around the maid service times for our child's nap but the maids always accommodated and came around later which we really appreciated. In future I would book a superior room as our balcony was a bit small but we had a lovely view of the pool otherwise. Plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel, although it is a bit hilly and some of the beaches aren't accessible if you have a buggy/wheelchair. Would definitely stay again.

Was pleasantly surprised with this place. The staff were very kind and helpful. Was like a little apartment, without a washer though. 1 min walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants in very short distances. Lots of kids/families by the pool. A little wading pool for the little ones too. The bar by the pool is nice and has plenty of options for food and beverages.

The 1 bedroom apartment was exactly what we needed. Full efficency. Very clean. safe. Quiet. And the building manager Paula was fantastic. Would stay here again in the future.

Lovely and accommodating staff, big rooms with lots of space, quiet during the night, lots of pool chairs

Traveling through Portugal as a solo motorcyclist, I found this to be a great hotel. Safe parking off street for the bike, away from prying eyes behind a barrier. Facilities are awesome - more space than I knew what to do with. Great place to spend a few days or a few weeks.

Amazing stay at Aquamar! Friendly and helpful staff, very clean, well equipped apartment, close to grocery stores and many restaurant. Stunning beaches.

From the moment my wife and I stepped into the Aqua Mar with our 3 Month old son we felt completely at home. Staff - From our initial video greeting from Paula, they were all incredible. So welcoming and caring towards us all. Even jokingly being quiet in reception on the one rainy day we were stuck in trying to get him to sleep walking up and down the hall. The room “111”. Was incredibly spacious and equipped. We had dinner in every night and could cook anything we would have at home. It was also completely quiet in the bedroom at night too and the cleaners kept it spotless on their visits. Location - perfect. 30-40 minutes drive from the airport and just 5 minutes walk to the beach with an array of restaurants nearby and two good supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. Overall 10/10. Highly recommended to all. Thank you again all at the Aqua Mar

Aquamar review

Large 1 bed apartment but very basic furnishings etc.not many kitchen utensils provided. However, cleaned daily and very comfortable bed. Nice pool area. Location ok, but towards the top of the long bank down to Olhos beach.

We loved our stay at this small hotel that felt like family. The staff made the holiday for us. Maria on the bar making the amazing monitors and white Sangria, Victoria giving us some tips and the unforgettable warm Paula who hosted us and felt like part of our girl gang. She reminded my friends that they need more suncream as they were burning, nothing was too much trouble and hugged us goodbye at the end of our 3 night stay and encourages us to return with our families. We had the best most chilled and fun girls break, 6 of us across 2 rooms. The rooms were spotless and had plenty of space. We are very likely to return. Thanks again everyone.

Beautiful place

Our stay was very relaxed and enjoyable. Located in a beautiful spot only minutes from the beach. Our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Paula was an amazing host and made our stay even more pleasurable and wanting to return. Jose was also very friendly and helpful with advice on where to visit. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable

Superb location

Excellent, comfortable apartments ideally located in the centre of the village with lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Paula and her assistant Jose were so friendly and a helpful with all our needs. Would highly recommend.

Good apartments close to beach and shops

Good bus service to villamoura, quateria and albuferia. Plenty of restaurants and reasonably priced also lovely walks to discover and rock pools for children

Second Visit - Dissappointed

This was my second visit to Aqua Mar - following on from a vastly different experience first time round. Although room quality is the same in all rooms, the room I booked (Garden View) had no garden view at all. Instead it was partly underground with a view of the public car park and a chicken wire fence. Take care when booking in case the same happens

Nice Apartment rooms

Comfortable and modern apartment with kitchen and all the amenities. Winter season so just one night stay as part of a week long sightseeing trip in Portugal. Free internet in lobby area was good enough to upload pictures quickly. Only downside was hot water didn't last long - had to wait between showers (80 liters).

Good location for beach shops walking and buses

Olhos de agua is a lovely fishing village with good places to eat and local shops. The beaches are lovely and clean. Good walks, not noisy good for familes and couples Our third year here Local buses good for a day out

GOOD LOCATION

The apartment suited our needs. The hotel apartment was adequate, with all the amenities that you would want. Clean, and very spacious. However, it was very quiet and the staff were not very enthusiastic, which was probably because it was the end of the season. The road up to the apartments were poor, especially for a wheelchair, very bumpy. We hired an electric scooter, and it kept stopping because the road was so bumpy. The food was OK, but it seemed a bit of trouble to make anything. And no change in the till, that sort of thing.

Spacious Accommodation, Good Location

The staff are courteous and helpful. There is plenty space in the rooms. There are good pools, and gym facilities.

Everything was broken

Extremely basic apartments with no maintenance whatsoever, leaking shower, broken fridge, TV, fuse box, door handle, drawer and toaster, cleaners were good but seemed to have an issue with cleaning mirrors because they never did, reception staff uninterested with one lady in particular extremely rude, cheap apartments but definitely not cheerful or worth any money, would avoid

Great little place

Lovely apartment/hotel in great location. Apartment was big with air conditioning and well equipped kitchen. My only mediocre gripe was we had one of the three rooms with a tiny shaded pool view balcony. It wasnt really comfortable to sit on as you couldnt see much from it! Other than that i would definately recommed it. ( just dont get rooms 102 104 or 106 )

Small & Basic but very clean

You get what you pay for. Room was extremely clean and very spacious with towels changed everyday. The town it's self has a small beach and a small section of bars and restaurants. Taxis are quite expensive and you usually had to wait a while for one as it was August apparently. Loved Portugal and the weather was great but will next time stay in the old town as the town was was a taxi ride from everything.

Quiet Aparthotel in a convenient location

As a couple, the Aqua Mar suited us well for a quiet week away in the sun.Small complex with bright & well maintained apartments.The staff were friendly & helpful.Would recommend rooms with pool view as balcony on other rooms were very small. Plenty of good Restaurants within walking distance with best ones probably located at the beach. Albufeira Old Town ten minutes drive away is well worth visit.

What An Amazing Time

I had such an amazing time here. I was with my 13yr daughter and we had the best time. Close to the beach and the hotel pool was cool. The area is really family friendly and safe. the staff was helpful. The local shops have everything you need and the "Ticket Shop" have all the day trip you'll need. A####

Very clean apartments with very helpful staff

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and the friendliness of the staff and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends. The entrance hill was a bit of a killer at first but over the week we realised it gave us some much needed exercise. The only thing that would have improved the stay was an airer that could be used in the kitchen to dry any washing that needed to be done and maybe a welcome pack of basics to start us off - we had to buy tea/coffee/washing up liquid/cleaning cloth/kitchen towels and had to leave what we did not use - we hoped the next occupants could use what was left. Other than that all the facilities were very good. We did not use the eating facilities or the pools but the both looked very clean and well maintained. We will definitely consider these apartments when we return to this area for a future holiday.
