Well located near Blue Mosque and many shops and restaurants around. Room was small but ok for the price, there were a number of mosquitos which was the only real negative for us.
Very convenient location walkable to many of the main attractions, friendly staff and a good breakfast to start the day. Was great to receive free bottled water most days. The room was exceptionally warm but after running the air conditioning for a couple of hours it got a lot cooler. Facilities were generally good although some shower fittings were a little loose.
:-)
This is an excellent option for being in the heart of Istanbul old town. The location is perfectly situated for seeing a lot of the major sites. Close to major transportation hubs giving great access to this amazing city! I highly recommend this hotel. Great host and roof top view of the waterway.
The staff member is excellent. Always attentive to help
Noise
Amazing breakfast. Best we had in Turkey! Hotel staff were very pleasant- held our bags for two days while we went to Cappadocia and helped us arrange things for airport transfers etc. The view from our room was beautiful- we had the ocean and Mosque view. I would stay here again!
Perfectly positioned , beautiful buffet ****
This hotel is perfectly situated in the old city. In a cobbled street nesr a number if resturants and only 5/10 minutes walk from the sultanahmet square and a lovely little bazaar. The room was brightly decorated and equipped with a small fridge and air con . The bed was large and comfortable. Towels were changed regularly and tolietries provided. A couple of days water was left for us too. The buffet breakfast was excellent , with a large range of foods available , as well as hot drinks. Staff were very helpful , arranging our airport transfer out too . The roof top terrace had chair's and tables up there and the views were stunning . The blue mosque from the back abd the Bosphorus from the front . Why not 5 ou of 5 then ? The room was very small very little room for all our clothes ( maybe i took too much ) The stairs to the roof topbterrace need lighting at night ...it felt tricky to get up and down. Definitely recommend the hotel though
It was hard to find eventually had to get a taxi and even he didnt know where it was located. The new manager Yunis was very pleasant. The drawback was my room was on the ground floor and next to the lift and toilet making it noisy especially late at night.
Great price for the location. Decor was a bit weird, bathroom was small but had everything. Bedroom basic but again had everything you needed for a city break. Decent Turkish breakfast. The location is the main selling point for this place, staff friendly.
Great place to stay! It was my 3rd stay, will stay again. Very convenient location, staff is amazing, breakfast is great!
Stayed in a deluxe room with a sea view on top floor. Spacious and AC works well. Bathroom on smaller side by sufficient. The included breakfast is a true Turkish breakfast feast of buffet offerings. Staff is very friendly and service oriented. Lots of dining options in area. Rooftop terrace has great views of the Straits/Asian side of city and Blue Mosque which is especially scenic at night when it is lit up. This is a great value stay in Sultanahmet area and walkable to the mosques and palace. Encourage you to use nearby trams which connect to Metro and suburban railways - all of which are safe and clean.
In overall the pictures are much better than the reality. Pros: clean room, delicious breakfast, good neighborhood and very close to everything. Cons: Our room was on the 2nd floor but no elevator. Do not expect someone help you to bring your laugage. Free bottles of water is included but the receptionist guy told us that is only complimentary for first night! The rest you should pay 10 liras for a small bottle. Mini bar was included but the refrigerator was empty. We had hassle for get a safebox( which was included). We called for glasses ( no utensils at all) and water but the receptionist told us come down the stairs and get ( room service was included).
Great place, great price, and great people
Comfortable room, if a little small--but I didn't expect anything big from an economy room. Diverse breakfast options. The location is great; you're a 10 minute walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace, and a 15 minute walk from the Grand Bazaar and the Archaeological Museum. The service was phenomenal. Every single staff member was so kind and helpful, from greeting me every time they saw me to helping me communicate with Turkish-speaking tour guides and offering suggestions about sightseeing. Truly awesome people.
Our stay at Apex Hotel was very pleasant and memorable. It is conveniently located walking distance from Blue Mosque, Hagai Sophia and other historical attractions. The staff is very kind, respectful, and helpful. They made our stay memorable. I hope you run into them....thank you Mohammed, Abdulazziz, and Dildora for your hospitality <3 hope to see you soon!!
Very accommodating and friendly staff. The daily breakfast was made fresh and was great. Beds and rooms were comfortable, especially when considering how affordable this hotel is relative to nearby options. The best aspect was the ease of walking to the Hagia Sophia and nearby sites(~3 minute walk) as well as the trolley(~5 minite walk). Could not have asked for a better location, great experience and stay.
Lovely little hotel in an excellent location, plenty of restaurants all within a few minutes and both the blue mosque and hagia sofia are less than 10 minutes walk. Excellent roof terrace with a gorgeous view of both the sea (we saw dolphins very clearly every night up there) in one direction and the blue mosque right behind. It doesn’t seem to be very well advertised because we were the only ones on it every time! Only thing that could be improved is if they had a bar up there! Luckily there’s mini markets nearby so you can bring some soft drinks up easily enough. Excellent value for money and very pleased with the whole stay.
Good staff
Great Boutique Hotel and delish mezzo breakfast 💯 Great location near mosque and shops in bazaar and restaurants & nightclubs and beautiful old town 💯
Loved our stay at Apex hotel! Lovely staff and yummie food. Loved the area and nearby restaurants, so close and walkable distance to Blue mosque Hagia Sofia and Grand Bazaar. Thanks Dildora Aziz and rest of staff 😊
We spent 3 nights at The Apex and couldn't have been happier. Aziz & the team were welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The property was excellently located and well presented & maintained. A large roof terrace gave stunning views across Sultanhamet The complimentary breakfast really set us up for a day's sightseeing. Overall, I would highly recommend the Apex to anyone planning a visit toold town Istanbul.
Nice hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Close to many many good restaurants.
Great hotel in Sultanahmet area
Great hotel, conveniently located within walking distance to Blue Mosque, Gulhane Park, Basilica Cistern. Loved provided breakfast (includes baklava). Staff is very friendly. Room is clean and cozy
I really appreciate how accommodating the hotel workers were. I didnt get his name but the younger desk man was really lovely. We had a great stay, my only gripe would be the only cold options for breakfast. Would've preferred some hot food too
Very bad
Very clean and comfortable place. Very courteous and helpful staff, arranged transportation and assisted with directions. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.
I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The staff is so attending, respectful, and understanding. The breakfast is unbelievably amazing. The rooms are funky-styled and AWESOMELY-decorated. The location is only a few minutes walking distance from Istanbul’s best and most famous historical and tourist sites. 10/10, definitely recommend.
The staff was amazing
Not that good experience staying 4 nights in this like family run business type hotel according to the reviews . Breakfast is the best part; however, no heating system is provided inside the room, it is cold without enough clothes while you are staying inside the room. For shower, it is hard to adjust to the best water temperature after many attempts. Noise proof between rooms are very poor. The poorest part is no credit card can be used. You have to pay in cash. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff and good service.nice and clean.
It was a very disappointing stay. We booked this place after seeing the good reviews about the hotel. Unfortunately for us it was not so. First the receptionist who received us could not speak a word of English. Then we were given a small room next to the reception and the restaurant. For most of the night we could not sleep because of the noise from the reception. The real noise started from very early morning as they were preparing the breakfast. So we couldn’t stay in bed. The breakfast was not that great and it was poor compared to many other hotels that I have stayed in the area in the past few years. In the morning finally when we found someone who could talk a bit of English, he said this is the room you booked and we could not do anything for you. I told him that on the room description you need to add that the room is next to the breakfast place and the reception and it is a very noisy and small. We checked out of the place in the morning immediately and did not bother to argue with the management any further.
We had very good time in Apex hotel. So clean wonderful service.
Perfect hotel with kind staff 👌
Great nice service
A very clean and tidy property within short walking distance of all the major sights in Sultanahmet. Friendly staff and a hearty local breakfast. We would definitely use again.
I am writing from a Western perspective used to high standards I picked this hotel because of the reviews and location. We like to stay in hotels that reflect the area. Rooms were small, but clean. Don’t expect chairs to sit in or an area to put your suitcases other than in the closet. We left ours on the floor as we didn’t want to fully unpack. Breakfast was fabulous. I love the local food and variety. The staff was wonderful and the location couldn’t be better
Very friendly, feel safe .
It is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul if you have come to visit the Hagia Sophia, museums, the spice bazaar, and more. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Our favorite restaurant ended up being the one at the end of the block.
Ideal place to stay, very close to main attractions .Staff were nice and friendly Bed was comfortable and room clean.
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and loved the hotel. Room was a very good size with plenty of storage and was clean. Breakfast was tasty and there were lots of options to choose from. Staff were all great- friendly and always happy to help. There are a variety of restaurants nearby and easy access to public transport. Would definitely stay again! :) Only 1 slight negative was that due to being on the ground floor, we could hear people checking in and out. Other than that this hotel is perfect!
20 stars
The location
My stay at the Apex hotel was okay, the room was clean but there definitely was a strong drain odor coming from the bathroom. The tipping point to this whole experience was that we asked the hotel reception to arrange transportation to the airport for us and they tried to scam us quite badly. We had been from Sultanahmet to the Istanbul airport the previous week and had paid 280 liras with the meter taxi and the hotel was offering us a ride for 600 liras, flat fee. We decided to just grab a taxi that was passing in front of the hotel instead, and the hotel receptionist ran out to tell us we had to grab the taxi HE was getting for us and that it was going to be 600 liras and we needed to pay him directly, at the reception of the hotel. We refused and he insisted we take our suitcases out of the taxi's trunk and take his taxi instead. Lesson learned, don't let yourself get scammed by this hotel, grab your own taxi from the street and ask to pay by the kilometer instead of a flat fee.
Reasonable price, poor comfort, good cleaning, roof with sea view and very bad breakfast
good location on a quiet street in Sultanahmet district; great roof terrace and views; lovely breakfasts; cute interiors; most importantly, very hospitable, friendly and helpful stuff, who have really made the difference and made our stay most enjoyable. - Thank you, guys!
Great location and delicious and well presented breakfast. The staff were generally helpful especially the fantastic lady in charge of cooking. The only reason I would not go back to this hotel is the noise level, especially from the very loud conversations among staff that continue well past midnight making it difficult to go to sleep.
The hotel is charmingly querky, the staff very friendly and most helpful. The location is excellent for easy access to the Sultanhamet sights, the Arasta Bazaar and the Palace Mosaics Museum. The bathroom was a bit small with drainage odours. Overall, a good stay for the money.
The hotel is small, but the level golf service was fantastic. The the staff all spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The room where clean, We had a balcony room with a lovely view of the street. The breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast. We enjoyed it. Specially the melon, feta and the cheese borek. It’s a few minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Arasta bazaar and the Sultan Ahmet Park. I would book this hotel again.
Nice little motel, The staff were so friendly, very polite and nice . Rooms very clean. Breakfast was good. Excellent place if you are on a budget. But all the Staff were Amazing . Even if it’s a 2 or 3 stars, the kindness of the staff makes up for everything else. Love you guys 💜💙💜
We enjoyed our stay at Apex hotel, the staff were great welcoming, and the location was great, we enjoyed walking all the interesting places.also the breakfast was great, we will recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
Room was clean and staff was very polite and professional.
Very nice location in the old city. The rooms were small but nice, new and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent hotel for the money.
Breakfast is very delicious! People is very nice!
The hotel is 5 mins walk to the Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia, very close to all the main attractions such asTopkapi palace, Grand Bazaar etc.lovely hotel the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly, i would definitely go back.
Excellent hotel!!!!
If I could give 6 stars, I will give it to them. Room service, hotel’s breakfast, help from staff, for anything, 24 hours security, assistance, reservation for SPA and other tours, recommending restaurants, location, from and back view areas to say the least, superb is the word to come to our minds. Thank you, thank you….. simple the best if the best. Make you feel at home.
This is a beautiful hotel and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you have an excellent stay.
I enjoyed my stay at this property! The staff is excellent! They are attentive and go out of their way to ensure that guests are comfortable and have everything that they need. The property is also very close to historical sites such as the Hagia Sofia and Blue mosque in addition to a small bazaar and several restaurants. I highly recommend this property!
Great location. Great breakfast and great staff
It was very clean and the.staff very helpfull .Good they could speak good english. They should have tea coffee in the room.
Marvelous stay!
We spent four nights at Apex Hotel. It was a wonderful stay with a beautiful room, clean, courteous and welcoming staff who are always willing to help you in creating memorable days. The hotel is well located and hassle free. We recommend this hotel to all.
Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is good. Location is within walking distance Room is very small
We really enjoyed our stay at the Apex hotel in Istanbul. The hotel was very clean, staff was very attentive to our needs and the location was excellent. You can fund many attractions, restaurants and stores within walking distance. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Istanbul.
Breakfast was good , friendly and lovely place and people , near to every attraction in İstanbul ,just by walk , the view of the room is perfect , we recommend this hotel
Good place , near to sultanahmet ,eminonu , and clean friendly
A beautiful hotel , recommend everyone , and a good price
Me and my family stayed there , we loved this small hotel , clean and friendly , evrything is so new and special designed , we recommend it at all
Recommended , a new hotel which is located in sultanahmet sequence , easy to go to grand bazaar and all the centeral places in İstanbul ,it is worth to stay there
Evrything was so good , a lovely hotel , we loved it and will prefer to stay here again
Volvería a visitarlos.
ideal positioning close to the Blue Mosque and Hagya Sophia, but not as smart as expected from the pictures. Kitsch decor :)
