People are very friendly and the place was very welcoming & there are no dislikes at all.

Gran valor para el precio. Definitivamente nos hospedaremos nuevamente cuando estemos en SJ. Ubicación súper conveniente en el corazón de Escazú y san rafael. Viaje en Uber de 3 a 5 minutos a cualquier lugar al que desee ir.

Very Good for the price. Quiet area but walking distance to restaurants. A little cold on February night and no heater, but that is the norm in San Jose.

The two bedroom apartment was excellent for a family group and considered a good value for the price

Clean, attractive room, comfortable beds, good price, close to downtown friendly staff

This was out second stay and it continues to be a great value. My only concern was that I was unable to get a warm shower which I really needed. Other that that, the staff is very helpful and the rooms are nice and a great value for the money.

Friendly staff, I enjoy Costa Rica. San Jose is a nice place. There are lots of places just a short Uber ride away.

I had a nice, useful description describing all of this, but Expedia's trash AI scanning for rule violations kept rejecting it for no actual discernable reason, so you get this useless blurb instead... since it's required... Good place; will stay again.

I have stayed at the Apartohotel Don Francisco many times on visits to San Jose. The location is fantastic, in a beautiful neighbourhood, and close to many stores and restaurants. The rooms are huge, and have a kitchen, which is great if you don't feel like eating out. It is much more like a private apartment than a hotel, at an affordable price. Automercado is located close by, for all of you grocery needs. It is quiet and comfortable, and the staff are fantastic and friendly. I would highly reccomend.

my favorite escazu hotel. my home away from home. They call me Leo and treat me like a king. Perfect location, wonderful staff, and I travel 280 days a year. this is truly like coming home. Please forward this to the staff if you can. They go the extra mile.

The directions were confusing and did not send me to the right area. I like that there is a front parking area for easy check-in as well as a gated back parking lot area for overnight parking. There are food options close by if you have a car, not really within walking distance. There was a pamphlet in the room with food delivery service options. The rooms are clean and I like that there is a kitchenette available in the room. The showers were a little weird with the change from extremely hot water to ice cold water while in use. I would stay here again.

Great location. Very close to Multiplaza and Hospital Cima. Place is a little old, bathroom had a stink to it and place was a little run down. But it was large in size and the front desk man was very helpful

Clean, decent room

This is the second time we stayed here. It is close( walking distance) to Dr Garita’s dental office & restaurants. The first time we stayed in a 1 bedroom apt n back which was quiet! This time we stayed in a studio off the lobby & we heard dogs barking & more noise. Also we had difficulty with the WIFi

We stayed here as it was close to our dentist Room was nice but roosters next door that crow in the middle of the night that disturbed us but I would stay again

quiet, comfortable, clean

Quick easy check in, very nice lobby and atrium. Room was clean, well furnished, even the kitchen utensils and silverware. Off the main streets, and very quiet, yet within walking distance to shopping, and restaurants.

Very Good hotel for us

We were in Escazu for Denta appointment and stay at the Don Francisco. Rooms were excellant and the management were very friendly. Will stay again and have rebooked for another night stay for completion of our dental

Great apartment in a convenient location

Enjoyed only one night here but it was great. The kitchen and bath had been remodeled and the linens were good. The kitchen was well stocked and had a small but full size fridge in it. The location is excellent, walking distance to Auto Mercado and Starbucks! The only complaint is that it’s in a residential area so lots of dogs barking in the day and at 3am the roosters were crowing and the dogs joined in the early morning concert :) Pura vida

Possible to walk to World Gym. Little park on the way there. Grocery store not too far

a few simple directions, and including the phone number at hotel in the confirmation would be very helpful to find it

Nice Hotel close to the Multi Plaza in Escazu

Its my second time I have stayed here. The hotel is clean, quiet and all rooms have a kitchen which has cooking pots and utensils so the kitchen can be really used. The management, receptionist, cleaning staff are all very friendly, helpful and want to make sure that their guests have a good experience in their hotel.When I stay there I am not doing sightseeing. I can walk to my dentist and to the Multi Plaza or a short drive with Uber or Taxi. It seems to be a save area with nice Restaurants , the Supermarket Auto Mercado, a Starbucks all in Walking distance.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was nice and friendly, and the hotel was very clean and conveniently located.

Sad place

The best thing about this place was the location. The room was dark with only one window that would not open. Could hear everything. People talking loud outside the room at 1 AM. Building itself was very depressed.

Acceptable place to stay.

Good place if you just need a place to stay. Clean and ok equipped kitchen. Too much echo in the room, but otherwise ok.

Great Hotel by Airport

Great hotel close to the airport. Room was clean. Check in was fast and staff helpful. Would book again on my next visit to the city.

Escazu Aparthotel Reasonably Priced

We spent five nights at the Don Francisco, it was our second stay. We chose this aparthotel because of it's location in Escazu where we had a lot of appointments. This is an upscale neighbourhood but the rate is very reasonable and is made even more so by the fact that you have your own kitchen to make meals. There is secure parking and the internet works fairly well when compared to most San Jose hotels. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were friendly and helpful.

reasonably price, some good amenties

was able to walk to medical appointments- however walking back was challenging as it was up a steep hill- appeared to be lots of traffic throughout the whole day- felt safe though- I didn't have a car so felt somewhat isolated even though things were nearby. Didn't see any vending machines or anything. If you have a car you could go shopping and cook in the rooms.. very clean place... had some translation concerns with staff- wasn't able to give advice or provide direction for things to do. managed to explore myself. They said they have wi-fi but no computer for guest to use. I would stay here again now that I know the area and the price was reasonable. Again very quiet place and extremely clean.

Great hotel for short or long stay

This is the place we wish we would have stayed at during our first visit to San Jose. The room was very nice and the owner and staff were excellent. They were very helpful with everything we needed.

Apartotel Don Francisco a little gem ...

This apartment hotel was located near my Dentist, Dr Mario Garita, in a safe area. There were shops and a supermarket close by as well as American brand restaurants. The suite was large with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room, 2 TV's... High ceilings made it even more spacious... The room was cleaned daily by friendly helpful staff... Front desk was always accommodating ... It is not a five star hotel and doesn't look like much from the outside front but it is a wonderful place for an extended visit where you can stay without breaking the bank with comforts of your own apartment. I will stay there again on my next visit. I was there 14 nights.

Nice lace, great value, but...

Aparthotel Don Francisco is a great deal, and for our purposes, a terrific location. Large, clean well fitted out rooms, great staff. The only downsides were super slow and spotty WiFi, and neighbors who started the day at 6:00am with super loud talking and music, then need ended the day at 11:30pm till midnight and beyond with similar, including bonus door slamming. I feel the hotel could do a better job with a quiet time rule, since a big part of their business is medical travel (sleep is good!)

Muy buena ubicación. Falta algún tipo de protector contra la lluvia al ingreso de la propiedad para no mojarse con la lluvia

El lugar esta en muy buenas condiciones, de limpieza y comodidad, Lo que me parece es que no tienen ni una maquina de sodas para comprar algo en caso que uno no quiera salir. Seria bueno alguna opción así para los clientes.
