Loved that it was so close to Yumbo! We had a room facing the pool and would recommend this if you don't want to be disturbed by noise coming from Yumbo at night. It's worth the small extra charge!

Fantastic location for the Yumbo nightlife and 10 mins from the beach.

Overall great stay apart from staff seemed unhappy and un interested in there guests and noise from maintainance or building working in holtel starting from 8am till 7 at night so no real relaxation in or around holtel pool

Good apartments for a pleasant stay in Maspalomas

I stayed in Playa del Sol for one week and the one bedroom apartment had everything I needed to enjoy my stay in Maspalomas. The kitchen was well equipped and the cleaning service was great. The swimming pool area is great with some activities organized daily. The location is unbeatable. I would stay here again.

Great hotel ideally located for the Yumbo centre & on the Pride parade route. I've stayed multiple times and will continue to do so.

After staying here a few years ago, i got a good deal for a week self catering for 2 rooms and this was perfect. Rooms were big and slightly modernised, in the peak summer you would prob struggle with only the ceiling fan, but it was fine in April. Only slight disappointment was no late check out despite checking numerous times.

Loved everything about this property. It is in a great location, was spotlessly clean. The room was well eqiped, the balconies a good size with fab views. There is a swimming pool, jucuzzi pool, sauna, gym & on site shop. There are lots of amenities close by. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. Thank you.

Espectacular, la atención de Fefi de el front desk no podía haber sido mejor. El pequeño mercadillo de el lobby es muy conveniente. El centro comercial Yumbo justo al lado da muchas opciones para comer y también si quieres comprar aunque de noche puede ser algo incómodo para dormir por la música, pero si se cierran bien las ventanas es tolerable. La para de el autobús al salir de el hotel es muy conveniente si no se ha alquilado coche.

Excellent Value For Money

The only negatives are the fan over the bed is very noisy, not actually over the bed and thus quite ineffective. AC in the bedroom would be amazing or just a fan that worked. The pillows were lumpy. The POSITIVES, excellent location, amazing staff and great value for money. The Pool is large and clean and was never crowded. Pool bar is friendly and great value for money. The rooms are a lovely size and pretty well appointed. Staff are very friendly. Our 2nd stay and we would stay again no doubt. Thank you for a great 8 days and also for the help regarding my left behind phone.

Simple et efficace

Hôtel sympathique et proche de tout (en particulier du Yumbo center). Piscine très agréable, bar de la piscine très bien et le solarium est sympathique aussi. Il est possible de prendre son petit déjeuner ou de déjeuner au bar de la piscine. Les chambres sont simples, la literie est confortable. Juste un petit bémol : la paroie de douche est un peu courte et du coup c’est l’inondation de la sdb à chaque fois.

Our stay was fantastic, great price for value! The apartment was very clean, spacious, fully equipped and comfortable. Location was great, if you’re looking to stay near by the Yumbo Centre. Check in and check out were seamless. Also, the convenience store next to the lobby and taxi stop right outside the building were optimal.

Had such a lovey 7 days holiday here. Can not fault the place. So clean. Staff great. Cleaners wonderful..swimming pool and bar are fantastic.. great location. Will defo be back 💯

Great holiday

Had a lovely stay at the Playa del Sol. Staff very friendly & helpful. Spotless clean everywhere. Had a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine in our room for my birthday on Valentines day. We would definitely go back again.

Enjoyable stay in December sun

Apartment suited our purpose and location was perfect. The receptionist when we arrived very early was very accommodating and had our apartment ready well before official check in. We didn’t spend a lot of time around the resort but plenty sunbeds available when we did. My only criticism would be the entrance and reception area which gave a poor first impression.

Disappointing stay

We stayed at this apart hotel 6 nights. In need of updating. Very central location, and there is the problem. : Yumba shopping centre right next to hotel and the noise every night until 5 am and on weekend night's until morning is anything but relaxing and restful. On arrival we were told that this is the quietest room that was available. The bathroom door adds to the problem ,sticking on opening and closing, yet it needs to be closed to bring down the noise a decible. The fan doesn't work. Badly needs some noise Insulation.

The staff is the real perk of staying at this location. They were all superb, very kind and always welcomed you no matter that time you entered the hotel. The area was full of things to do. We were really lucky to find easy street parking during our stay. Never had to park further than 5 minutes away. The only two things for improvement that I could recommend, up to my personal taste is bigger shower towels & the bathrooms could use a remodel. The rest of the room was wonderful. Très bien situé au pied du centre commercial Yumbo. A 200 mètres le bus Globale 66 ou 90 vous emmènera à l'aéroport en 40 minutes por 3,50€. Le personnel très aimable et sourient. Belle piscine et une sale de sport. Un solarium sur le toit de l'hôtel pour ceux qu'il veulent profiter du soleil. Très bon séjour.

Der er nok mere larm om sommeren. Jeg benyttede ikke hotelles madtilbud. Jeg lavede selv mad i min fine lejlighed. Poolområdet kan lidt af det hele

Great location for the Yumbo. Basic, modern, clean rooms with pool/sea view. We were lucky and got upgraded to a great end room: thank you! Pool is heated which was lovely. Managed to get late checkout for just €20 until 6pm which was great. Will definitely stay again. Great value!

A great stay at the Playa del Sol Apartments

From initially emailing the reception department at the apartments to check out I was impressed with the service of the employees. They were helpful, friendly, genuine and efficient with my requests … well done. My room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. A good size room and had everything I needed. The balcony was spacious and overlooked the swimming pool area. The room maids did an exceptional job of cleaning the room and leaving nice touches of arranging the towels in shapes. A little touch but made it all feel very nice. I would definitely stay here again with its close proximity to the Yumbo centre and surrounding shops and restaurants.

Great stay great location

Great location friendly staff throughout. We had friends in a different apartment which was so much nicer in decoration . Ours was old and tired but perfectly today and appointed with everything we needed . Covid mask wearing throughout the hotel plus a compulsory wrist band to identify guest - this I didn’t like so much as a plastic wrist band which wasn’t removable for the week !

Great Stay

I have stayed in a few hotels/apartments in the area and this one is my favourite great value for money friendly staff lovely area by the pool and a rooftop solarium This is why i have returned and will continue to do so Another advantage is its Adult's only Only thing i didnt like was te selfish people who put towels on sunbeds but didnt use them for hourd hours maybe the staff should remove them when they see this happening

Great place to stay for a awesome price

First time I stayed here so was a new experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are great and the bed very comfortable compared to other hotels I have stayed in the area.

Outstanding place to stay right next to Yumbo

Absolutely lovely hotel. The rooms have a kitchenette which helps alot. The whole apartment is bright with light coming from both sides. The staff are amazing. Especially FEfi who greeting us with a huge smile and friendly conversation everyday we saw her. The staff at the pool bar were also lovely. The pool area is kept immaculately clean and is big enough to have your own space.

Great location, lovely pool area. Can be very noisy at times from the Yumbo centre, especially when there’s events on, so as long as you’re prepared for that and ok with that then no problems. I’m generally out enjoying these parties so it’s not an issue for me. Stayed at this hotel many times and will stay again.

Poor hotel all in all

Beds are clearly very old and uncomfortable. No aircon in the rooms makes its very warm and stuffy. Lovely pool area.

Amazing as always

This was our 5th time here and loved it as always. Staff are so accommodating and helpful, lovely pool, great sun terrace and just a lovely place.

Excellent location right beside Yumbo Centre with a bus stop that has a direct connection to the airport right outside. The superior rooms are well appointed in every way except for two single beds pushed together and pretty uncomfortable mattresses Pool and roof solarium are a big plus no rushing for sun beds The bar decides when to open when it likes it seems, some nights never opened at all

Excellent stay

The hotel is in an excellent location for partying in the Yumbo and if you fancy going shopping or visiting the beach. The cleaning staff are excellent and very friendly as well as the hotel staff who always say hello when passing them. The new sun beds by the pool are a lot more comfortable and the roof top is very private and clean if you like to get naked.

Great apartments in a central location in Playa del Ingles. The complex is just across the street from the Yumbo Centre which is a great advantage for night life. The flip side of the coin is that it can be a little noisy because of its proximity to the Yumbo but they do provide eye masks and ear plugs! The rooms are cleaned immaculately five days a week and the grounds are cleaned every day and are well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I’d recommend paying that bit extra for a premier apartment as they face away from the Yumbo thus lessening any noise. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time whilst at Playa del Sol - the staff is super friendly, the aparthotel is right next to Yumbo centre, and the swimming pool is amazing. You have amnesties super close, and you call do a 15 minute walk to the beach. We highly recommend and shall stay again on our return. Thank you.

Nice budget hotel.

Cheap and cheerful and right next to Yumbo centre. Be prepared for some great tunes in the evening drifting up the way. Naked solarium on the roof and shop next to reception.

Lovely pool area, nice pool bar with good priced food and drinks. (Pizza isn’t the best) Nice sized rooms which are well equipped Friendly staff. Hotel is located right by the Yumb so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room overlooking the pool as it’s a bit quieter.

Fabulous hotel with an excellent pool area and very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here if you want falling distance from Yumbo!

We couldn’t fault the hotel, the location or the service throughout the hotel. Though if I could give some advice I would pay the extra to have a pool facing bedroom, unless you can sleep through any amount of noise or take good earplugs! The noise from Yumba’s Centre can be pretty noisy!

Was exactly what I wanted, nice pool area, quiet but close enough to public areas

Location was everything.

We recieved an upgrade to a superior room facing the pool from the front office staff which was a nice touch. Staff could not be more helpful. Poolside bar and food was simple and delicious. Friendly staff there too. Helps to have a few words Spanish. Housekeeping were very accomadating and friendly. Excellent value for the money. Will be back oneday.

Great all rounder

Location was brilliant for the Yumbo centre. The pool area lovely especially with its Jacuzzi beds in the pool. Fantastic stay

After a bad start to our stay problems were resolved regarding new payment system via Expedia and the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped best to get a room with an even number as bedrooms face the pool side and not the yumbo. Facilities in hotel are well maintained pool sauna and roof terrace we did not use bar or resturant so no comment. Reception staff are a good team and Isidro is the best member of staff any thing you ask is no problem he looks very shy but what a lovely guy and asset to the hotel. During our stay new bedroom units were being delivered for refurbishment looking forward to staying again in the future to see the refurb. Rooms cleaned most days to a high standard.

Playa del Sol - 11 out of 10

Have been to GC 5 times in the last 2 years. A different hotel each time. Playa del Sol was by far the best hotel ever. We will stay here from now on.

Good location but sleep not so good

The location is great. Rooms look newly renovated. The only problem was matress protections are plastic and makes you sweat at night. Horrible feeling. They could use those thin water proof protectors that doesn't make sound and doesn't feel like you are sleeping on plastic.

5th stay close to yumbo

Very close to Yumbo Centre we have stayed here at least 5 times maybe more. Always book premium room as it’s quieter and has more inclusions. This hotel is popular with LGBT clientele as it’s right next to yumbo. Great pool area, every year the hotel has something updated or added which is good to see.

Adults Only

I have stayed at this hotel many times, it's good value for money in the spring and summer months however in the winter it can be very expensive and really not worth the high premium when you can get all inclusive in other hotels for the same money. These apartments are adults only so this is a plus point for many and it's located next to the yumbo so you can expect some noise from the clubs.The staff in all departments are very friendly and helpful and they are a credit to these apartments.Will definitely be back in the spring or summer 2018 but will stay in another hotel in February as we'll get a 4 star all inclusive for the same money.

Good central location

Rooms spacious. Cleaning is poor. Even after cleaner had been my wife's long dark hair was still visible all over the floor. Beds not comfortable. Apartments are large and all have a pool view. No aircon in rooms so can get a little uncomfortable on the hottest days.

Excellent value!

Such a welcoming hotel. All staff are so friendly and place is kept clean. Despite situated by a main road it was very relaxing around the big pool and the surrounding landscaped gardens. Most rooms have all day sun on balconies and it's worth paying the extra for the premium room as your guaranteed the best situated rooms and other extras. Would highly recommend and will book again!

Just had 10 great days at these apartments and very impressed.Was a bit sceptical about all the good reviews but all proven to be correct. Sun terrace on roof was great. and pool area and gardens were fantastic with no issues to get a sunbed any time. My only very small complaint was the pool bar although I believe under separate management . I believe the staff could have been more professional . We had an issue with internet , but the guy on the desk solved the problem within 30 mins by having a router put in the room. Great holiday and will return again.

Nice hotel in a good location

It is a nice and clean hotel located near all nice restaurants and shops as well as Yumbo Center.

Great location

The hotel is situated near to the Yumbo Centre, which is a lively area full of restaurants and bars. The room itself was a little dated, but clean with a separate lounge/kitchenette and bedroom. It's not near the beach, however it's only a short cheap taxi ride away. I went as a lone traveller and on the first day met some new friends we had a ball. All in all had a great week and would go back again.

Great Location!

Hotel ideally placed next to Yumbo and a nice stroll to the beach. Rooms are comfy with everything that you need. Hotel staff are fantastic! Cleaning team are great too. Plenty of loungers around the pool area so need to rush around to find a spot. Highly recommended!! This has been our fourth visit!

Lovely hotel for a price!

Good location for entertainment next to Yumbo and walking distance from Cita. Nice swimming pool although a bit deep. Well established solarium on the roof top. Pool bar could have more attractive prices (sangria isn't a cocktail really). Hotel restaurant and bar always empty so obviously needs prices review and better management. Overall we had a good stay.

Great hotel and quite - just unfriendly staff

Loved my stay here, great location, rooms super tidy, great pool and a gym, just staff weren't helpful at all. They diddn't even look at us when leaving or coming back to the hotel, no 'hola' which I found weird. Check in they almost ignored us while they were talking to each other about something else. We weren't told about gym access or that there were classes at the pool, or really anything. It was here's your keys. Apart from that great hotel, just I've never stayed at the hotel before where you basically get ignored by staff,

Great apartment on a great resort

The staff were very friendly when we arrived and the cleaning staff went above and beyond to keep the room in nice condition. We couldn't stay out of the pool and when we did it was to sunbathe or go to the pool bar. The local area has great nightlife and there are many nice restaurants within walking distance. The beach is also not too far and offers its own nightlife. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location for the nightlife. Can be noisy at night if you're trying to sleep though. The room was very clean although a little dated.

Hotel close to everything

The hotel was more than expected! Front of the hotel was not as appealing but everything else such as the rooms and views was good! Room conditions was good standard! Only a 15 minute walk to the beach and by cab only 3 euros! Quite a cheap holiday and fun for about 5 days as not much to do.
