Apa Hotel chain always supplies comfortable and cozy places, besides room size.
great
honestly was good, very clean, def small. the bed touches two walls and is about two feet from the other two walls. This can kinda be seen in there photos but just no it’s tiny. Not a downside just something to be aware of. five minutes form at least two train stations. found moist of the places i wanted to see where at least 30 mins by train away. this was my first time in tokyo so i checked out the major attractions and parts of the city. good central location though
Enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Excellent
Amazing hotel. Located super close to multiple train lines. Convenience stores everywhere.
The staff was really helpful.
It was very good but the bathroom was very cramped.
.
Clean and quiet location, close to multiple rail lines
It was nice and really close to stations. Wouldn’t have to walk too far to get to the hotel. Overall a really positive experience during my stay.
Very affordable, has everything you need
Clean and quiet, nice location very close to train station
Loved it. Convenient to subway stations. Amazing breakfast service.
Decent enough place. Easily accessed by narita, although a bit of a journey. One train got us there instead of transferring multiple times with our bags. Like other reviews have said, the room is small. It’s basically a queen sized bed filling the corner, then a counter and mini fridge. Storage for your bag under the bed. Loads of restaurants and markets within a few blocks. There was also a super tasty burger bar about a block away. Walk out of the hotel, turn left and cross the street. Go about a half a block. I believe it was called Monkey Tree. Super tasty burgers. Better than most I’ve had back home. All in all, no complaints. I’d return here.
Good location close to transit
Good spot, noisy in mornings lack of soundproof. Good amenities for a good price
Rooms are too small provides the least comfort
As usual the APA hotel rooms are extremely small, don’t even have a space to open my luggage, bathroom is small, gives me bruises everyday, yesterday the knee, today the elbow!!
Great room, Great amenities
Great room, very comfortable and amazing AC. Breakfast at the partnered restaurant was a great way to start the day. Would definitely stay again.
The property is within Tokyo city and is a good place as a base with a view to walking around and exploring.
Our stay met our expectations for convenience of location, and amenities. It was nothing glamorous, but their express checkout system made it easy to check-out in the early morning.
Service was great!staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English. Bed size was good and comfortable. Toilet size was good compared to other accommodation we’ve stayed in. Hotel replenished our room supplies and changed towels and yukata everyday which was great! Would’ve been nice if the room had its own microwave or at least provided 1 microwave per level so you don’t have to go to level 2 every time. Location was convenience and near 3 stations.
Easy to go anywhere.
Out of all the Apa's i stayed at, this place had the biggest room by far.
Very convenient. A JR station is within a block from the hotel, and two subway stations are within 7 min walk.
A superb hotel, staff, and location.
Breakfast should be fee. Bathtub needs handle.
Two bottles of water for 4 nights. Excess towels.
Check in was straight forward. You only get 2 bottles of water regardless how long you stayed. We stayed 4 nights. 2 bottles of water. They bring linen and hang it on your door if you don't ask them to service your room. Which led to me having multiple plastic bags in my room with excess towels and amenities. Then on the 4th night, without me hanging a sign to service my room, they entered and changed the linen. Trying to be eco friendly by not giving water bottles but stack the room full of towels and linen. Oh and cockroach killed in the hallway.
Good
Great quiet location. Close enough via transit to major areas but did not feel busy at all. Very convenient and well kept.
There were a few rough spots for this stay, specifically with the luggage storage and help with getting around it. We needed to store our luggage for 2 nights and asked the hotel and they simply said no, without offering any other options for us to use. One quick Google search later, we had a few options the staff could have made us aware of. In general there wasn't a ln attitude based on helping we have seen many times in the past in Japan, but rather just answering yes/no questions without any further details
Incredible for the price and location
I'd like to thank the property and in particular to Mr. Tanaka for having held my reservation for one day. All flights coming to Narita airport on Aug 16 were cancelled due to Typhoon Ampil, what made impossible for me to check-in on the expected date. I phoned the hotel to explain the problem and they guaranteed me that my reservation would be held. Besides, the hotel is well located between a JR train station (Bakurocho) and two subway stations (Bakuro-Yokoyama and Higashi-Nihombashi), the latter with direct access to Narita and Haneda airports. I would definitely stay in this hotel on a future travel to Tokyo.
Convenient location by train from Narita airport. Small grocery store and convenience stores nearby. Easy travel to the east side of Tokyo. Small malaysian themed cafe in the same bldg.
Good stau
Good tiny room. Felt like i was sleeping in a small rv. But served its purpose
Location is great especially if you buy the Tokyo Subway Pass (Toei lines). The Shinjuku, Asakusa & Hibiya lines are close and so is a JR station. Lots of convenience stores nearby & a supermarket too. There is also a microwave, vending machine and ice/water machine on second floor which is helpful especially in the summer. The only downside is there is not much to do around the area & the room is small so its hard to pack your luggage! But with the good price and location, it’s just something you accept.
Kind staff & convenience hallmark this visit. It's not luxury, definitely efficient, but clean, safe, quiet and an excellent option near public transport and some great restaurants. I would definitely stay again as a solo traveler.
Great
I did like the fact of been greeted and received promptly by the staff for check-in. Instructions for the room electric devices provided by paper in the front desk is awesome.
Convenient transport
A fortnight in Bakurocho
Having a coin paid washing machine would make it attractive, as laundry is far away and so expensive.
Good hotel with a good supermarket next door
Very Comfortable Stay
Hotel is clean, Staff is polite and nice, beside the window view is not the best but if you don't care much about it, basically its a really good stay.
Great - Ideal for train
Second stay here. Great as usual - clean and easy to get to the Bakurocha train station just accross the road. Rooms are small but there's everything you need. Denny's opposite for breakfast. Will use again.
Nice, clean hotel in a good, central location.
Aloha. The staff at APA hotel was very friendly and helpful. The best hotel stay I have ever been.
Standard apa hotel. Great location to get the train anywhere
It was small, but nice and quiet. Very close to multiple restaurants, convenience stores, and the train station.
Thank you. A quality APA property.
Nice Hotel goog Hotel for the area
I had a decent time with this hotel. It was pretty good. The only thing is maybe out of order here, but the jacuzzi tub when they clean the room they didn't clean the jacuzzi tub. We had to request that otherwise though I had a nice time. Beautiful view bed slept okay. It wasn't magnificent but it wasn't terrible either until they tried to make everything luxury for us and their own the charger $5 or $6 for a bottle water if you drink it in your room. But there's plenty of stuff here at the hotel. Delicious restaurants. Great food. You almost don't need anything outside the hotel other than when you go sightseeing.
very good
Good
Great if you are traveling alone.
.
Clean which is the case for most hotels in Japan Very small space but okay for travellers who only come back to sleep literally
Very nice
.
Good
Great hotel and close to transport
Cafe downstairs was delicious and staff was friendly. Short walk to train station and convience stores.
Purchased breakfast for 2 days thinking it was as the other 4 restaurants we stayed in Japan which were buffet style. We were Very disappointed with the breakfast they offered, very limited-only 4 choices. Coffee was powder-coffee in a carafe - horrible. For the 2nd day we got sick and asked the staff for the nearest clinic. They were very helpful and directed us to a hospital. On checking out the bags we asked if we can be reimbursed for the breakfast tickets not utilized due to illness. The front desk clerk went to ask management. Their response: once paid for the ticket they can not refund for the amount paid. Customer service should improve in this regard. The look of the hotel inside must improve: it is too dark not conducive to a peaceful feeling. Should brighten up.
not bad
.
Excellent with this price
Rooms are small but makes use of space with under bed storage. Has a lot of amenities. You don't really have to bring toiletries when staying here. Walking distance to many stations. Overall a great stay.
Very good
Apart from the window that didn't seal tightly (food smells from the restaurant wafted in at breakfast time), and the mattress that really needs replacing, it was perfect for me, and so well located. Lots of subway station a few minutes walk at most. Very quiet area, yet walking distance from Akihabara.
Excellent service, and staff very friendly, great location. I'll come again.
Check-in was easy. Close to a train station.
Nicely located near various subway/train lines. A walk away from various restaurants and small supermarkets. The fridge in the room is very useful when you want to have quick breakfast.
For the price, it's a very good value. There are several public transit options available nearby including both one JR and multiple Tokyo Metro subway stations. Not the most roomy, but that's to be expected in Japan. The only downside was the lack of a nearby coin laundry if you have an extended stay. Other than that, I'd definitely consider coming back here.
Rooms were advertised as “with AC”, but it does not go below 69 degree in Fahrenheit in the thermometer (felt like 73-75 however) so it got pretty warm at nights and stuffy (given how small the rooms are). If you run hot and struggle sleeping in warm temperatures, i would not recommend this.
It was perfect for the two of us. Great price and great location. Helpful and friendly service we will comeback again.
Nice budget hotel. Check in and checkout time are strictly 3 pm and 10 am though, please plan around it.
No , restaurant as used.!!! No lobby!!!! No ,buffet breakfast!!!!
Pretty sweet hotel, small but who visit Japan to stay inside hotel. Private restroom. Though there was a booger on the curtain. Quiet place.
Located right next to Bakurocho Station for ease of transportation, and neighborhood is nice and quiet. The Hotel room is equipped with simple and nice amenities with good enough WiFi speeds. There is also a Malaysian restaurant on floor 1 if you are into Malaysian foods (open Breakfast and Lunch only). My only gripe I have with the hotel is lack of a Coin Laundry, other than that, would stay again!
Quick weekend trip. Location is good. Usual APA hotel, small but does the job.
It’s close to 2 stations and easy to go to ueno or shinjuku
The service was good and it was fairly clean. Some things I was not too fond of was how the cleaners started around 8am. I did wish they started a bit later. You can choose if you want your room to get cleaned or not which is nice. Another thing was how many of the train stations around the hotel had no elevators. You kind of have to look if you need to use one(don’t trust Google on what exit to take if you have luggage). Overall, the area itself was nice and convenient. There isn’t much of a variety of places to eat so if you want anything other the typical office worker foods, then it might be better to head to a different area.
Great place to stay, just small in room space.
A quiet neighborhood hotel with with great access
For the price, anyone thinking about capsule or hostels need to really consider APA. This particular one is minutes away from the Shinjuku and Asakusa lines, which gets you to Ginza and Shinjuku easily. The room is small, but you get a bed and desk with a wonderful shower. The bed is pretty hard but will do in a pinch. Incredibly clean and convenient.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and convenient location. Serviced daily. Rooms very small but i think thats common in Tokyo. Definitely recommend.
Love the stay at this hotel. Room is cleaned everyday, size is perfectly compact and comfortable for up to 2 person. Location is perfect with walking distance to a couple of train lines. Would come back.
Near akihabara
The staff are very accommodating and the place is very clean. I will come back and stay again.
Really new aph hotel, well located next to a jr station. Staff v good, small room but well thought through to maximise space. Aph are a good chain.
20/10 would recommend this hotel establishment. Husband and I stayed 7 days and would gladly do it again. It was very affordable but still very nice and quaint. Onsite restaurant was fantastic as well. Front desk staff were very kind/nice, the sweet housekeeper ensured we had fresh towels, toiletries every single day. PERFECT location to the subway as well - literally a block away. 7/11 and Lawson station along with some amazing local restaurants that are also just feet away. Will definitely be using APA in the future. Thank you for making our first time in Japan a memorable one!
Small as expected but has everything one needs. Great value
I like this hotel.
Their stuff are vey friendly to help me. The location is good, and it is close JR and metro station.
Third time I've stayed at an APA Hotel and as always it was a fantastic place to stay with great staff and fantastic amenities. I would recommend this hotel to anybody travelling as they would have a relaxing and comfortable place during their trip.
Comforting, clean and great location! Would highly recommend.
Service at this location was amazing and I'd like to come back to here when I travel to Japan again.
It's nice and location is convenient
The room is small as expected. Given the price, it's reasonable. The location is great. Close to the train stations.
The staff gave excellent, frequent, and thorough room service, and the front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful.
Fantastic facilities and staff
great value
Happy stay
Great location since you're somewhat centre of Tokyo. Closer still to Ginza which is one of my favourite areas. Can't beat location, cleanliness and price! I've been staying at APA Hotels quite often whenever I travel to Japan (at least twice a year) and it's something I look forward to believe it or not. Efficient!

Very clean hotel room and super nice receptions. I will consider come back to the hotel a month later.
