Booked three separate rooms with “pantheon view”. All three rooms did not have a view of the pantheon, no matter how you were positioned in the room. When approaching management regarding this matter, they insisted I needed to lean out of the window and look to the left. That’s unacceptable (and not safe) especially when you pay a premium for the “view”. Otherwise every hotel on 5th ave could say they have an Empire State Building view. I was told management would contact me (Alessandro) to rectify but never heard from them and was charged full price. It was obvious the establishment was all about charging top dollar while taking advantage of it’s guest because of the surrounding area. I am hoping this review helps those who are skeptical about the property. Plenty of other options in Rome! You pay a premium for
The best
Amazing staff! Room incredible. Best location. Breakfast can’t be beat. Welcome drink great!
Best location in Rome. Small, luxury, great service. Best breakfast imaginable.
The staff was very accommodating with our request for a different room.
Mother
Beautiful room very comfortable & clean. Highly recommend my daughter & I stayed for 2 nights.
Loved it. Convenient , beautiful and great service!
I didn’t like the view they said my room would have had as it wasn’t a view
Wonderful stay. Thank you
Wonderful stay. Conveniently located. Wonderful staff. Superb breakfast.
The property is in an amazing location. We stayed in a suite overlooking the Pantheon, which has one of the best views in Rome. The staff are friendly and very helpful. My only complaint on this property is the price. Although you are paying for the view, the price is a bit steep for a room that small.
Everything was great! Staff was very helpful and on point!
This was a perfect location for us. Fabio and Marianna were exceptionally helpful and nice. Also , I really enjoyed our room , right next to the small court inside. Great breakfast too!
Staff helpful,professional.great location
Amazing service and Centrally located. Cleaning staff is very efficient and all staff was very accommodating. No more than a 20 minute walk from any of the main sites.
Nice hotel with side view of Pantheon
Hotel was in a great location for our 3 night stay. It was pretty loud until late in the night so i wouldn't recommend for families with young children or light sleepers. To clarify, the noise was coming from outside in front of the pantheon - not inbetween rooms. Beds were comfy, room was small. Much smaller than our hotel in Florence but to be expected when you are so close to some main sites. Staff was friendly and helpful in ordering us a taxi the morning we left.
Location and view are a plus, breakfast selection could be better
The hotel is an ancient hotel (one of the oldest in the city), it is upgraded however it is not for people with any mobility issues. They have one very tiny slow elevator, and there is a lot of steps with no ramps. The staff are amazing and the location is outstanding (right in front of the Pantheon). Note: there is no vehicle access to the front door of the hotel as it is in a piazza.
Great location, near all major sites.
Amazing location, great rooms, great staff. Can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful stay great staff
It was clean in a perfect area and super comfortable
Would not recommend paying extra for a Pantheon view on 5th floor balcony is 1’ by 2’ and the ceiling is very low with no windows.
Excellent location and incredible staff.
Location was walkable to most sites. Hotel was modern and staff was very good.
The only problem we had was that the air conditioning is not turned on often and it was way too hot for us most of the time. Sleeping was difficult and too hot.
The location is amazing if you're interested in visiting popular tourist stops within Rome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing each morning with fresh fruit, cheeses and pastries along with delicious coffee. The bathroom was up to date and bed was very comfortable.
Excellent location… The only bad part is that taxis can’t enter the plaza and you have to move your luggage (cobblestones) to the entrance of the hotel.
Excellent location, very good breakfast.
Great location!
Outstanding stay!!! Staff was extremely kind and courteous, and treated us like family. Best service at a hotel we have ever received. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with a variety of choices, and the hotel is walking distance to everything. Beautiful hotel!
Everything about this stay was wonderful. From the hotel staff (especially Dante), to the breakfast spread to the rooms itself - I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends & family traveling to Rome as well as stay here again when I come back to Roma. Don’t even think twice, book it!
Beautiful hotel next to the Pantheon. Staff and service excellent. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Close to major attractions and transportation.
Excellent service. Great location. Definitely will be come back .
Exquisite in every way!
Our stay in this Hotel was simply superb! The location, comfort, service and luxury were all perfect! I highly recommend this Jewel.x
Excellent view of the pantheon and convenient to all restaurants and top sites
Great hotel, modern decor, newly remodeled interior. We had an air conditioner that wouldn’t cooperate for a couple days and we were moved into a room with a decent air conditioner but the WiFi was nearly non existent in that room. Not a deal breaker and we would stay there again. Good breakfast layout and they did pretty good with covid restrictions. Slightly strange hotel layout with elevator that took you up to your floor, but then entering room the bathroom was at hallway level and room was 6 stairs down or other room was level with hall, but hallway from elevator had stairs up and down. Building was built in the 1400’s so it’s not uncommon or any real problem. Excellent location, walked nearly everywhere. Paid for a week long bus ticket but no one was checking for bus passes, we think because of covid restrictions.
An eternal hotel experience in the Eternal City.
Beautiful room in historic inn.
One and only one complaint..the room fridge didn't work. Even after management was informed, it never worked. I know Europeans like their beer and soft drinks at room temp, but warm champagne? Come on.
The building was a maze of stairs if you don’t take the elevator. I actually enjoyed it. It was too warm in our room because the heater is on because it was February. There wasn’t a way to control room temperature except open the window that overlooked the center of the building.
Exquisite decor, spacious, proximity to many sites.
Very Godinez hotel, nevar everythings in Rome very confortable. The staff very nice
Perfect location, dead center of everything. They gave us the top penthouse style suit directly facing the Pantheon. Wifi didst work in our section, but it is the oldest active hotel in Rome. Furnishings were nice. Thermostat couldn't be controlled from the room. Staff was very polite and courteous. Definitely the best place to stay if you go to Rome. Shops and restaurants all around.
This hotel is in the perfect location so close to absolutely everything we couldn't have chose a better place for a magical weekend in Rome staff were friendly and helpful and all our special requests were met very highly recommended
Great location. Friendly and informative staff. Grazie Dante!
Perfect location. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Colesseum, Pantheon at your doorstop. Breakfast is great. Staff friendly and helpful - could not fault. Will stay here again.
The room was very nice but all of the staff were great. Always said good morning, and good night. Helped with every question I had and always with a smile. Breakfast was also great. Had a great nine days.
Location is excellent right in the Piazza della Rotunda, which is where the Pantheon is located. Step out of the hotel lobby and it’s right in front of you. Nice hotel with relatively large rooms, nice bright bathroom, and the elevator is slightly larger than some of the surrounding hotels. The reason for only 4 stars this visit was the breakfast although adequate was cold, even the scrambled eggs.
Nice hotel
Hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was good.
I would stay here again
Great location, walking distance to sights. Hotel breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Our room was very nice and bed was comfortable. People were helpful and hospitable.
Stay in the main building
The overall condition of the main building and history is wonderful. The rooms are decorated nicely. The Annex building (across the square) had a few issues during my stay. The wifi, phone and TV didn’t work at all. The air conditioning was poor and the room was extremely loud. I would recommend requesting a room in the main building. Overall the main building was lovely and located perfectly.
Location and character of the property were outstanding.
Hotel in the heart of the pantheon area
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean. Only complaint was that there was air conditioning but wasn’t that cool in room. Unsure if that had to do with weather or what
The building was nice cause of the old world charm....there was two staff members who were super helpful.
Everything about this special property speaks to us especially with its fabulous location and wonderful staff inside the oldest hotel in Roma..we come back every year
They CHEATED US on the room and did not process our refund. We are in a dispute case with the Hotel.
Service was great, room was beautiful. Everything was clean. Staff went out of their way to bring a fan due to the unusual heat wave experienced. Breakfast was very good. Of course being right at the Parthenon was wonderful.
It's the oldest hotel in Europe and it definitely showed. It was very quaint though. The staff were very nice. Our friends had ants in their room, but after mentioning it to the staff they did something to get rid of them. We had a massive beetle come in our room the day we left, but we were off of the garden courtyard, so they couldn't really help it.
Great hotel-location and staff
Fantastic location (literally at the Pantheon circle). Friendly staff and great room. Only downside was a struggle with the AC but they fixed it and considering how hot it was- the issues were expected.
They have to change this men and change the wifi
They have a men on the receiption his face like the old shoes his very impolite and insupportable
Although the hotel was pricey and listed as a 4 star hotel - the property was closer to a 2 or 3 star place. The decor was strange, the layout odd and rooms were small and noisy. Although we were there for only one night - the elevator didn't work when we checked out, and coffee was not available as promised. Many nicer places in this neighborhood for this price.
Disappointing!
The location was great . Our room was nice. But the free WiFi was non existent . its open so anyone in the area can connect. They offer an upgrade for a fee and I feel they do this on purpose. Hot water for a shower is infrequent . Our Adult kid had garden rooms both smelled and had mold plus one had barely a window. If you decide to stay here do not take a garden room and be prepared to pay extra for WiFI!
Great Location
The location of this hotel is amazing. It is just feet from the Pantheon and a short walk to Piazza Navona and the Trevi fountain. We stayed in a deluxe suite with city view in the annex building. It was directly across the square from the Pantheon and had an amazing view. There was a small balcony with chairs so you could enjoy the view, as well as a covered terrace with a dining table and chairs. The room was quite spacious, with a living area downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. My only complaint about the room was the bed was not very comfortable. The overall experience was great. I would stay here again.
Everything was perfect! The location was centrally located, and easily walkable to all of the historical sites. Staff was great, and rooms were very clean. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Rome.
Amazing location. Beautiful room. Staff were very helpful
Great Location. All around great service
The hotel is right next to Pantheon and walking distance to Trevi Fountain and many other attractions like Vatican City. The room is small to medium size but it’s clean and well structured with big mirrors. Nice breakfast is a plus.
I loved the night shift lady. She helped me so much, and was so fun. This is a great little hotel with nice rooms and location!
A real center of Rome
Just in the very center for me
Excellent period property in a superb position by the Pantheon for visiting most of Rome's must see sites.
It was amazing
The hotel location is wonderful, very central in Rome and walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The room we had was at the top of the annex part of the hotel ( note low level/angled ceilings and roof timbers, that caught me out a few times (I'm 5'5') and my partner more so at 6") and a view of the pantheon from the balcony. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The room was kept clean and the sofa bed was made up and ready for us on our arrival. The only negatives I have is with the general condition of the room itself. There were parts of the walls that opened up ( rather shoddily and not lockable) into voids containing electrical wires/equipment (room/water heaters etc) and building supplies and in one the external wall had a large opening in, with my 7and 5yr olds sleeping in a room to themselves it made me a tad nervous. The quality of the decorating was to a very poor standard. Certainly not to what I expect from a 4* hotel.
Not worth it, stay somewhere else!
Well first thing was the convenience of the original shuttle service that was proposed on the site was part of the reason I thought this hotel would have been good. Originally it stated 60 euro for total round trip service only to find out from calling the hotel that it was not true and would cost 60 euro each way. (Which is the same price that it costs for a taxi!) We ended up using the MyTaxi App that only cost 40 euro each way instead. Secondly, how this hotel was rated so high is amazing. The front desk had no recommendations and no assistance when asked where would be a good place to grab a quick bite such as a panini. Then we were put in a second building that had construction scaffolding covering the windows. We were woken by men working outside in the morning of our first night stay. We were living right above a restaurant in the second building that was busy and very loud during our entire 2 nights we could hear people singing and loud chatter while we tried to sleep after midnight. Overall this experience was one of the worst I have had in Europe. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!
Staying at an apartment room apart from the main hotel. The room was OK but can not tell how the room in the main building is like.
This an older hotel close to the Pantheon. It is well maintained. The staff was helpful in getting directions and arranging transportation. I would happily stay here again.
Great customer service front desk was excellent and providing great service very friendly above and beyond.
Don't stay in the annex!
We stayed in the annex which is in a different building across the square and down a side street. To get to your room, you enter the hallway through the front door, and walk straight in to a refuse and recycling area full of bins. It is a large, permeant structure built in to the hallway, and it stinks. We stayed in December so goodness knows what the smell is like in summer. I complained to reception about the stench but nothing was done about it. The location of this apartment is really good. You can walk to most of the main sights and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The actual room was fine, but quite tired looking after you see the grandness of the reception area in the other building. Bed was too hard for me. All amenities worked fine (bath / shower / fridge / hairdryer / safe / tv). Wifi was pretty poor, kettle was a bit dodgy and none of the tea or coffee was ever replenished. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Overall, the problem with the refuse area ruined this accommodation. I would never stay here again.
Don’t go with the expectations of new property. Historic building that is well maintained and extremely clean. Friendly staff. Great location for old Rome. Would definitely stay there the next time.
Lovely room overlooking the Pantheon
We loved the view from the windows over the Pantheon, and the general feel of "old world opulence". The room was elegant and comfortable, though we would have really benefited from tea/coffee facilities. WIFI was patchy
Wonderful experience!!
We loved almost everything about this hotel. Location was perfect! It was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice size and decor was lovely. The one and only negative was the mattress was hard. But even with that I would definitely stay there again. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Especially for the price!
A hotel with long history
Great location, in the center of Roma. Many tourist sites are within working distance. The hotel has been operating for over 500 years and is right in front of the Pantheon, you feel you stay in ancient times. Still it is very clean and nicely maintained. The size of the rooms is very reasonable. Breakfast is very nice and the service ladies are very kind. One small drawback is the Wi-Fi is too slow. An improvement on that will make the experience even better.
In the perfect location, its possible to walk to everyhting
Very friendly staff, fantastic location, rooms dated due to old charm of hotel
Nice hotel, great location, breakfast ok, overall pleasant stay
The property is nice but the suites are offsite in another building and are not worth the cost. The other building is not entirely owned by the hotel and was dirty.
Adorable property staff was over the top!! Very friendly, cant w as it to go back
Hotel was in a great location. It was clean and plenty of room, but our room was practically in the morning breakfast room so it was extremely noisy in the morning.
This was a great location. Leonardo was excellent at check in.
Close to all the action, but quiet and cozy inside
This hotel is history itself. Steps from the Pantheon where there are always hundreds of people, this hotel is a quick walk to everything. The hotel itself is charming. Climbing the stairs made each time up or down like finding our way in a maze. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The only problem we had was with the WiFi. Don't count on being able to use it.
Old hotel, room was comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. Location at the Pantheon was good, although noisy at night. WiFi was major problem, with connections dropping frequently making it difficult to remain connected with my office during the stay.
Unique hotel nearly adjacent to the Pantheon (feet away). Helpful staff, nice rooms. *No cars allowed in the square but a short walk (100 feet) to taxi but hotel helps. Small sound proofing problem in some areas but overall a really good experience.
Very convenient location for exploring
Lovely old building, friendly helpful staff Our room was a little small but other rooms seemed more grand Location was so central with the crowds around the pantheon it wasn’t overly easy for transfers to reach
OMG !!! this hotel was EXCELLENT !!! We are already planning to stay here again next year !!!
property was beautiful and clean, staff super helpful and friendly. would absolitely stay here again.
The suite in the annex had a shower the size of a suitcase. No annex/family rooms have a bathtub except one supposedly somewhere in town that they say they never know if it is available. Photo does not depict accurate room that you receive. Not soundproof. Very spacious and the service was good, location was very good, AC working good.
Absolutely charming, beautifully appointed room, great staff, superb breakfast, amazing location!!!
The room was very beautifully decorated and we had a fabulous view of the Pantheon from our room. You really can't beat this location for the price!
Love that it is in the same square as the pantheon. There was a grocery store just down the street, many restaurants and lots of ice cream! We thought it was fairly central and easy to walk to various sites
Best location to explore Rome and you never get lost right in front of Pantheon. Great family room with excellent staff and breakfast. They organized a private walking tour for our family which made the trip complete. Walking distance from all major sites in Rome including 5 minutes to Trevi Fountain and hundreds of amazing restaurants and shops within ten minutes by foot.
The area is absolutely perfect. The staff at the hotel was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good, you walk out the door and the Pantheon is right in front of you. A great variety of shops and restaurants and central to transportation. The hotel is clean and cozy. I do warn you the bed are very firm. If you are used to a pillow top or soft beds you will not be happy here. The room had a mini fridge, bathrobe and slippers. I would stay again but get a mattress pad shipped for the bed.

Very convenient and very centrally located
