This is simple but perfect!
Recommend if you’re only there to sleep and nothing else. The garden view is stunning! I work online full time, and it was just not up to the photos portrayed. Don’t recommend if you are disabled, need a softer mattress or even a hairdryer.
The sisters were lovely—especially Juliana. The property felt safe. Would not change a thing!
The staff is great and the Garden is really cool. Everything in this stay was perfect. City center is close walking.
Great location!! Great place spot less 🙏🙏
This hotel is part of a working Abbey, so we could hear beautiful nun's voices singing in harmonious a cappella three times each day. Clean, lean furnishings, with great hot water! Great value for the money.
This convent hotel is very accessible to/from the S M Novella train station, dining and shopping! Name it, they are all so near! It's a convent and i love the cleanliness of the room we got! The mini ktchen, with microwave, refrigerator and electric kette was just across our room! The nuns are so friendly and very accommodating! I highly recommend this place!
We had a really good stay, close to everything. Spacious room with a garden view.
Great and clean space to stay. Conveniently located near the train station. However, if you are a light sleeper —the walls are super thin and you hear absolutely everything.
The property we're run by nuns, which we thought was absolutely charming! They were so friendly and accommodating and just the nicest people. The area around the hotel was a standard downtown area in any metropolitan area but was very close to a lot of shopping and dining.
We love our stay. The sisters are so nice and accommodating They are friendly and very compassionate. We should always support our
Very clean room and bathroom. Safe and quiet, 10 min walk to center. Nice garden available. Less: hard mattress
Great location , great people and the sisters were amazing :)
The door locks can be tricky and no shower screen bath tubs are tiny. Otherwise, this unassuming property is nice. Walkable to sites we visited.
Unique and wonderful. Antica Dimora was a delightful place to stay. The room was very clean and spacious with lovely French doors leading to a balcony overlooking the beautiful courtyard. The courtyard itself was a welcome antidote to the crowds and noise of the city centre. The sisters sing in another part of the building, and it is a beautiful and very soothing sound. We are longtime Air B and B users and this was unlike any experience we have had. We felt very safe and comfortable here, and the sisters were friendly and very helpful! We hated to leave.
Excellent place to stay; a good customer service. Thank you to the staff.
The good part is that it's clean, the nun is nice and welcoming and it's an excellent location. The bad part : *the beds are noisy and very stiff *the room is very old and basic *the doors are very old, so u can hear practically everything happening in other rooms, so i ended up having 3 sleepless nights because every time another room's door gets opened, u jump in your bed.
Nobody told us about the dining area!
Friendly staff, good room, and convenient location. Thank w
We absolutely loved staying at the convent. This is not the place for you if you are looking for a lively hotel experience. It is a lovely, bare bones room with a simple but good breakfast for 8 Euro each. The grounds are beautiful and the Sisters are wonderful. Pretty convenient location, walking distance from the train station. Would absolutely stay here again.
Not sure of the high rating of this hotel. Seems not genuine rating. For the price the hotel is miserable. Stale coffee and poor breakfast for 8Eur. Basic room and uncomfortable bed.
I only stayed here for one night, but the staff was wonderful and answered all my questions. There was a room to hold my luggage while I was out for the day. The room was great; clean, lots of room, water provided and the balcony view was beautiful. It was nearby a street market and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Would definitely recommend and I would stay here again.
Staying here was so convenient to the train station sites and restaurants. The atmosphere was peaceful and like a retreat from the business of Florence.
Our hotel was actually in a convent operated by the sisters. They were friendly and helpful. The place has a beautiful courtyard and gardens. Felt very safe and secure. It did have an elevator which was helpful. The room Was minimal but clean and serviced by them each day. Only disappointment was the bathing situation a most awkward tub and hand held shower which was difficult to stand and shower and no shower curtain. There 3 nites and made due as location was great We did not eat there as didn’t work without excursion time.
Great stay in a perfect location, quick walk to restaurants and shopping and other attractions / sites in Florence. Specious rooms with air conditioning. My only criticism is that the blanket on the beds was very thin and a thicker option would have been nice as I was quite cold at night.
The welcome from the first nun who checked us in, clean room, quaint courtyard. A*****
It was a treat to stay in this convent that the nuns run as a B&B. It was delightful to hear the morning and evening singing and prayers from the convent's chapel. The property was excellent value but while the rooms were spacious, the beds were uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we were also plagued by mosquitos at night. Breakfast is extra at £8 a head. This is fine if you get down early. On the second morning, we had a lie in and there was very little food left by 8 am.
Very nice location, easy to walk to historic places.
Amazing place to stay! Super warm and helpful people
This property did not have a lot of frills, but it was perfect for us. The sisters were all so polite and friendly. A very nice breakfast is available in the mornings for a charge. There is a lovely courtyard in the back that our room looked out on. we would definitely stay there again.
The rooms were rather simple and the beds are showing their age but the location was amazing and the nuns that run it were super helpful and kind. Great A/C and the smart TV was nice. Short walk to the Cathedral, Accademia Gallery, and Uffizi not to mention a ton of great restaurants. I would love to come back!
Pleasant, quiet and private.
Beautiful place, amazing hosts
We absolutely loved our stay here and found the location to be so convenient for everything on our itinerary. We can’t wait to go back in a few days!
Lovely close convenient property. Beds were quite hard and only one plug point for EU chargers in the bathroom.
The accommodation was staffed with nuns and they were all very welcoming and lovely. Room was spacious and cleanliness was spotless. Fast wifi, walking distance to the train station and the Florence Cathedral. My experience was excellent!
My wife and I stayed at this hotel this past week during our visit to Florence. We were very happy with our stay here! The nuns who run the hotel are absolutely lovely. They were very kind, welcoming, and friendly. In addition, our room was very clean, and it was a big and spacious room too! The location is also an advantage - not a far walking distance from the Duomo, and close to a bus stop as well if wanting to travel a bit further. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable stay, with clean and comfortable rooms, a wonderful staff, and a great location!
In my opinion this is s nice refurbished older property. There are more than a few things in the room and around that aren’t up to a 3 Star standard. Mold and loose items in bathroom. Unpainted or poorly fixed areas in the room. Breakfast and afternoon tea are above average.
There was a spot on the blanket of our bad!
Just as described. Clean, comfortable and central. Woke up to the beautiful, subtle singing of the nuns at 7 am.
Thanks for accommodating us
The ambience at the property was very calm, the property felt safe and so the surrounding area. The staff was very friendly too.
Loved staying there. The nuns are super nice and friendly. It's hard to beat for the price!
Clean and spacious room
Very clean and spacious room. Sister Michaela provided excellent service. Very welcoming and helpful and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Convenient and safe location. Room and bed needs some update. The bathroom was good size but very small shower.
The staff were incredibly lovely! Rooms were spacious, cool, and clean. Would stay here again :)
Practical and basic
This is a facility with good amenities like breakfast and clean toilets. The facility is close to the exhibition center and Santa Maria station (walking distance). Bath towels could have a second wash but otherwise things are basic and well kept my the missionary staff.
Great stay
Wonderful hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel was walking distance to Duomo Firenze and train stations. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Will definitely stay there again.
Basic accommodations
Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic, but comfortable, room. A/C worked well which was essential in the July heat.
The room was good, but beds very hard, and the shower was a tiny sit-bath with a handheld nozzle
We had a very pleasant stay at Antica Dimora Sant’Anna. The room was spotless, with everything we needed. We had fully working AC but didn’t use it as the room was cool enough for us. Loved listening to the singing and everyone is very smileys and friendly! Thank you
Great property in a convenient location
The property was amazing. The hotel is a part of a convent and the sisters are lovely and helpful. The room is nice and clean as well as spacious and comfortable. There is a nice outdoor terrace area in the center of the property, we stayed in a room with a balcony facing the terrace. Within walking distance from the train station, this is a great budget hotel for people like me who don’t spend much time in the hotel. Would absolutely stay here again.
Super safe, quiet and clean. Beautiful balcony and garden to enjoy wine and quiet time. Staff are superb and very accomodating.
No air conditioning and the shutter door was broken so we could not open the window. We were attacked by about 20 mosquitos at night and finally, the bed was as lumpy as a bowl of cold oatmeal. Also, the walls are paper thin so we heaed at least four other residents' conversations throughout the night.
Really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Thank you.
The rooms are clean, with AC units. The nuns are friendly. They started singing in their chapel at 7:15 for about 15 minutes, which we could hear, and didn’t mind. Breakfast is available €8 per adult and €5 per child. There’s rolls, croissants, yoghurts, cheese, meat, a pastry, cereals, and juice & coffee. We parked our car in a parking garage and walked about 10 minutes to the property.
The staff is very helpful and gracious. I would stay here again. It is a clean and simple stay.
A wonderful place. Very clean and quiet.
Great service from staff. Great location and quiet. Would only need a fridge to make it perfect.
Lovely room in a convent very close to train station and centre attractions. The nuns are lovely and the rooms are spotless. We had a bathroom with shower too overlooking the gardens. Its location is ideal for walking into the centre and also just a few minutes from the train station. The rooms are quite thin in that you can hear if people are going around and you can hear the nuns singing in the morning and evenings but they’re very tuneful and I enjoyed hearing them.
The nuns were super friendly and helpful.
Simple and very clean facility. The nuns were kind, accommodating and helpful. Loved hearing them singing in the morning!
Difficult to find location. Parking was a major issue.
Very good for the price that we pay. Very nice staff.
Is very quiet and personal is very gentle
Very nice
Amazingly enough
… and the garden!
Loved our stay. Convenient. Welcoming. Clean. Serene. Loved hearing the sisters sing vespers…Would love to return.
A tranquil place to stay in Florence
Easy check in. Room is big with balcony facing the garden. Located in a quiet neighbourhood but near Florence Santa Maria Novella Train station and the tourist area such as the Duomo.
We had a great stay here! The staff were incredibly kind, rooms were clean as can be, location was within 20 mins walking to all sightseeing. The only downside of our stay was there was no shower in our room. It was simply a tub and a shower head that needed to be held by hand. This wasn’t the end of the world for us as it was only 2 nights and we made do just fine. I would definitely recommend for a short stay in Florence!
Simple, clean convenient location
Clean and good for a one or two night stay
Very comfortable stay in a monastery. Basic single room. Double rooms have garden view and balcony and look great
Very nice n helpful staff. 8mis walk from the station n close to most of the historical sites. Rooms are very clean, specious and had wonderful garden view.
Restful Stay
Our room was comfortable and we were able to rest and sleep well throughout the night. The Inn is close the train station. The nuns are super friendly.
You get what you pay for
Plus: Nice, clean, and friendly. Felt fairly safe there and close to train station. Minus: Not quiet, you hear every noise from neighbors and beds were squeaky and uncomfortable.
We liked it! Modest but clean and very spacious! Only downside was lack of a shower curtain and a little noisy from neighbors moving furniture.
Chambre dans un couvent de sœur franciscaine. Lit au confort moyen. Moustique dans la chambre. Mais globalement pour le prix c’était bien. Service très bon, bon restaurant dans le coin et à distance de marche des points d’intérêt de ville.
The property was very nice and quiet inside. Beautiful courtyard. The nuns were absolutely wonderful and i enjoyed i could hear them singing :)
We loved our stay here....the staff were extremely nice and helpful and was close to everything major youd want to see. We were able to walk to everything. Was also only 10 mn walk to the train station.
Quiet & close to station & attractions.
If you want quiet this is it. Close to railway station. Building old with thick walls so no real temperature variations. Rooms not modern by any means but ok for the price in Florence. Close to most attractions. Large garden at rear.
This is very a well-worth stay in gorgeous Florence. Very helpful staff.
Safe and quiet. We ate at the Osteria Vecchio Cancello (spectacular!) which was just around the corner. The nuns were so helpful and kind, and let us store our bags for a few hours after we checked out. Would stay again!
Hotel and the staff were great and very responsive. Only thing is the walls are very thin and you can hear everything and everyone. For the most part it was quiet at night and no issues, but in the early morning you can hear everyone else (guests) talking and banging doors.
Helpful and discreet hostesses (Franciscan nuns), the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom layout was a bit awkward and its door kept banging on the bedside table when opened. Our only real issue was the noise from neighbouring guests. Woken in the middle of the night by a loud mobile phone ringing and loud voiced guest - ie the noise from neighbouring room can be quite invasive. Otherwise, it was lovely.
Lovely place to stay
Simple, sweet, clean, and in a great location of the city. Just a really pleasant experience. Thank you!
Stay for 3 nights
Amazing customer service!!! The place is run by nuns, they were very accommodating and stayed late for us, so that we can check in late. No iron box in the room, but if requested they provide it. The bathtub did not have a shower curtain, so water was everywhere, but they clean the place everyday from 10 to 11, which helps! Once again, amazing customer service and very friendly. They had some umbrellas that you are able to take while visiting the city, which was very helpful. The bed was a bit hard and at night it was quiet. Our room was by the road and lift, so if it is loud, busy, and you are a light sleeper then it would be tough.
We absolutely loved staying in this convent. It’s peaceful and quiet, and you can hear the church bells. We also loved hearing the nuns singing in the afternoon. 10 out of 10 for a beautiful experience!
I was not aware that this place was run by jesuits order.a was great experience
.
The nuns looked after us very well. If you are looking for incredible value for money, customer service and absolute spotless cleanliness in your rooms, then this is the hotel for you. The interior courtyard was also surprisingly peaceful. I was worried beforehand as it was just so much cheaper than the competition, but I would absolutely stay there again. It is basic, but wonderful. You cannot beat the customer service. Enjoy!
Hard to find convent stay. The listing says #13 but the door is #11. And there is no sign. The bed is not comfortable. But safe place to rest my head.
Absolutely no complaints. Room and common areas were clean. Hotel is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport and 15 minute walk to the main center of Florence. The train station is within a 10 minute walk.
Friendly staff clean and very central to all the sites.
Great stay! Very friendly and helpful front desk. The hall way where the rooms are may seem a little creepy since it’s almost pitch black throughout the day, but it was a nice stay overall. They had water bottles in our room for us and clean towels and bed sheets everyday. The bed is technically two twin size beds put together, but I believe that’s something that’s common out in Italy. Easy 5 min walk from the main terminal in Florence and about a 5 min walk to the Duomo.
I enjoyed how easy it was to contact them, check in and check out. As first time solo traveler it made the experience so much better.
Great place to stay in Florence
Very clean and spacious rooms, serviced every day with fresh towels and remade beds, communal kitchen areas and English TV channels. Hotel run by nuns who are polite and friendly, always with a smile on their faces :-) Location great and close to S.M.N. station, downtown Florence a 15 min walk.
It feels very overpriced for what you get. No outlets in bathroom for electric razor or hair dryer. Beds sqeaky and uncomfortable. No coffee maker. We stayed 3 nights and towels never changed and had to ask for drinking water. Very stark environment. Not a hotel feeling Nuns who run front desk were very nice from Indonesia and Vietnam. Rooms clean.

Good place
Host was very friendly, room was good value for the money. Very close to the train station, and you can go and visit all tourist places by walking
