Everything was perfect. The hotel is near the metro, grocery and lots of restaurants
The service was outstanding in particular the gentleman behind the bar. He was always trying to please. The room I stayed in was number eight and it was a good size room with two doors however no air conditioning. If it's going to be hot I would avoid this hotel as most of the rooms were pretty hot. I bought a fan. Other than that because it's 4ks out of the center of Milan the pricing is quite reasonable out of peak and event time
Exceeded expectations
Great location, safe and metro steps away. Clean and newly remodeled. Small room, but comfortable and well decorated. Bathroom and shower were excellent. Biggest shower we had in all our hotel stays in Italy.
Nice place. Market next door. Bank across the street. Metro close. Friendly staff.
Good quality for the money.
Excellent service , everything was great. Everything was good
Short business trip
Hotel was ok. Room was very small and a single bed. Breakfast was very limited. Also no complimentary water in the room which is very rare.
Disappointing
Poor decoration, doesn’t look like show in pictures, bathroom looks terrible, breakfast area downstairs with poor choices, very old furniture, overall disappointing, hotel would need to be reovated.
The ad was misleading concerning the beds, they were two twin beds not to queen as was confirmed. Also the shower was so small you could barely turn around, so don’t drop the soap. It is very outdated but it was clean .
Good hotel for a night staying, a bit old fashioned American style but cleaningness make worth it
Beautiful and spacious room. Lose to Metro station
Beautiful hotel very close to the M1 line and stores. Restaurants were limited, but excellent food.
Nice hotel, located very close to the cathedral. helpful staff. We had 4 beds in the room as requested. Two were real beds and the other two were made on a sofa which was very small even for small kids.
Conveniently located next to metro and supermarket but immediate area is a bit seedy. The room is small. Beds a bit uncomfortable, very little AC
Don’t take a drink to back patio!!!
Staff could be alittle more friendly!! Patio at back to sit out was nice but wasn’t aware you couldn’t take your drinks down there. Would be helpful to have a sign saying so. Staff member let us know in front of many people. First hotel in Europe we had to drink in our room. Would find other accommodations next time
This is a smoking hotel
I booked a non-smoking room, and my room as well as the corridor had a heave smell of smoking. I called the reception to see if they can move me. They didn't even try to help ("hotel fully booked, sorry for any invonvinience"). They did offer the "air purifying machine" though, so clearly the issue is not new to them. Machines are used to purify the air and make a non-smoking room our of a smoking one on demand. Sadly, it does not resolve the problem for a non-smoker who is bothered by the smell and forced to breath the populluted air.
Great location for drivers
Room was clean and well kept. Location was near to the metro station with a supermarket just next to the property.
Nice hotel close to Subway
A van could hardly enter the garage gate. I almost hit it, it’s a good thing they let me park in front of the hotel. Overall the hotel is great.
Nice hotel and with the Metro station nearby it's
With the Metro station nearby it's easy to get around the city...if you can follow the signs ...which is not so easy.
Convenient for the purpose of our visit.
When we first arrived, the check-in staff did not have the accurate dates for our stay. Luckily I had the confirmation email. Our room was clean, but had an unusually designed balcony which provided no view. You had to stand on a chair to see anything. There were no other windows and I'm not sure there were sprinklers in our room. The housekeeping staff was very polite and kept the room clean. The one thing I didn't like was there were no washcloths provided. They were only given out upon request. We also needed an umbrella one day, but had to leave a small deposit. The breakfast was fine except they had the worst coffee. Unfortunately, I had a much better experience at another hotel in a different area of Milan for about the same price. This hotel could not compare.
Great location and price
Great location (10 min to Duomo) with a supermarket right next door. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also great but watch out some of the dishes weren’t washed properly. I would stay here again next time I’m in Milan.
Nice hotel and accommodations. Cannot check in early, but hotel will hold your luggage.
Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware! Maintaining their procedures is more important than insuring a good customer experience. The hotel is not interested in repeat customers by extending good customer care. The prevalent attitude is book them, then move on to the next victim, oh, sorry customer!
Not my favorite hotel
Bathroom was so tiny it was hard to bathe. The place needs to be updated, its very dark. The having to use the room key to light up the room was a HUGE issue. We were only allowed one room key, so the person leaving the room couldn't take the key with them, and the other person had to stay awake to unlock the door.. VERY inconvenient, also hard to charge personal devices if the key was removed from the slot.
Bad Hotel experience in Milan, Italy
1.When I checked into Best Western Antares, Milan, Italy, I was told there was not a reservation for my family and I. After several telephone calls and the hotel assistant, I was able to receive a room. 2. I telephoned Hotel.com about a reinsbursment, and was told that a $50.00 would be credit to my Hotel.com account. I stated that I want the $50.00 to be charged back to my credit card which was refused. I will never use Hotel.com, and I will put out the word to my friends not to use Hotel.com as a bad apple.
great links to the city
reception and restaurant staff are amazing, breakfast not so great and the breakfast manager is a gimp but the other staff make it a great stay
Good package
We really like this hotel. The room was spacious and well appointed. We had dinner, bed and breakfast package which was excellent value. Area was ok but a bit out of the centre.
Very nice quad room and convenient to metro and grocery
The air conditioning was not good.
Great customer service!
Staff are kind and attentive in trying to make stay comfortable. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Only issue was TV language would not change regardless of updating programming control and was not able to understand anything watching.
Junior suite didn't have queen bed
Nice roomy hotel room for family of 4. Clean and ready when we arrived at hotel. Close to metro. Reserved junior suite room with queen bed and two twins, but room had 4 twin beds instead. Otherwise no complaints.
Convenient to transportation
They were very helpful in getting around Milan.
Good hotel close to metro line
We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights it is clean and has helpful staff. The Hotel is about 200m away from metro line that can take you into the centre within 10-15 min. Also there is a small supermarket next door wich is hand for supplies for the day. Only downsides we experienced was we crept having to ask for milk in the room for tea and coffee. Our safe in our room broke on our third last day and was not fixed before we left. We were on 6th floor and windows could be opened fully, not so good for young children. On the day we had a breakfast here there was a good selection but cooked food was cold when we got to it. We would stay here again as very convenient for getting to shops, services and metro.
Nice stay
Highly recommended
I would surely return if visiting Milan
Very good value for money and spacious rooms.
Great Location near Metro and Grocery
Good Hotel experience. A slightly above average hotel. The front desk was friendly and helpful and the staff kept it neat and clean. Good value if you can book it with dinners for less than $100 per night. Breakfast and dinners were fine but nothing to write home to mom about. Located very close by to the metro with about a 15 minute ride to Duomo. AC not working at peak performance so felt a little warm. Seems like a common theme among many of the Italian Hotels we stayed at. The shower size is minimal... don't drop the soap! At the right price I would stay here again.
Large room for European standards
We stayed in toom 706 and it had a good view of the city. It was large room and good size bathroom. The shower was small but enough for avg size people. The metro was town the street and a super market. It was a diverse neighborhood and i liked the fact that it wasnt in city center so less noisy. Plenty of parking on the street that you have to pay for from 8am to 1pm which is about one usd an hour.
Good option in Milan
Check in was a mess. We were a large group and they had not prepared for us. However, once that stress was over, our stay was fine. The hotel has great access to a nearby metro stop and is easy to get to via the metro. I would stay again and suggest the dinner and breakfast option.
You should consider to stay here if ...
This hotel is located off city center, but is reachable via metro, and is within a couple of minutes walk. My room is spacious with two single beds which are comfortable. The only thing that isn't perfect is breakfast, but is good. I will stay here next time I go to Milan.
Great
Enjoyed it
Milan Stay
We had a good stay, however the Airconditioner was not functioning and room was very warm for this time of the year. Though we informed the management, nothing could be done and had to try to sleep with windows open and noise from outside. Otherwise, safe neighbourhood and well connected to the Metro station.
Overall OK but NOT 4 star.
Facilities were nice enough, convenient location to get throughout the city with the Metro...however the room was rather dusty.
Very decent hotel in Milano
Nice hotel with fine dining, decent breakfast and large carpeted rooms
Convenient parking in front of the hotel to load and unload. Parking is €20/night on premise. My only negative comment about the hotel was about the staff. They were adequate but way less than personable. From Front Desk personnel to Restaurant personnel they were short and terse....
Hotel location
Had a great time. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the hotel was in nice location with easy access to a Metro station.
Derby D'Italia weekend
No complaints at all about the hotel and close to the local metro, absolutely ideal for what we needed.
Uneven
I had fairly high expectations for this hotel. It exceeded some but failed on others. The service was outstanding. The amenities were great, especially the breakfast. It could have started earlier than 0700. The early breakfast was better than nothing. There was no business center. I expect one at this class of hotel. The room was nice except that there were some design flaws. Many outlets were switched in ways that were difficult to understand. A couple of nights my devices didn't charge because I used a switched outlet, expecting it to be unswitched. There were few outlets for a modern business-class hotel. Doors made from heavy sheets of glass seemed to be everywhere. Many places, including this one, had skimped on the hardware. We were afraid to use the bathroom door because it seemed flimsy. The room was clean except for the chair rail which had a thick coating of dust. There were some nice restaurants nearby, but it was a 20 minute, crowded subway ride from the Duomo.
great hotel
This is our 1st stop of Italy trip. this hotel is 3 min.walk to subway which directly take to Duomo di Milano. it was a good size room for 3 adults with all of the bathroom supplies we need, clean neat room with comfortable bedding. breakfast was very good with ham, cheese, pastry bread, yogurt, fruits cereal etc. a lot of variety. helpful front desk
Worst experience ever had
This is the worst experience I've ever had. When we arrived hotel that night around 10pm, the expressionless receptionist told us that the room was gone due to the failure of booking system, and had to send us to another hotel kms away while another girl's still calling the other hotel asking if they could accept client. After she finished calling she told me an absurd story that the light of the last room left was broken and they couldnot fix it for the whole afternoon, that's why they had to send us away for one night. I travelled with my parents who are over 70, I took a taxi from Malpensa to hotel in order to arrive fast and let my parents take rest earlier, but we finally settled down in another hotel after midnight exhausted. We also lost half day because we had to move back to this hotel the next day. I complained to the manager the next day, and was told only "mi dispiace". This is the service of a supposed 4-star hotel, I will give it a "0". Mi dispiace. Dispite this, the hotel is comfort and clean, close to metro, and carrefort is just beside the hotel.
Excellent.
Excellent stay.Near to metro station 3 min walk behind the hotel is a supermarket .very clean room and bed sheets and towels were changes everday..me and my husband are very happy. One thing only,if ur flight is early in the morning,be sure to find an option for transportation. Metro train started at 6:20 am. But there are buses going to cadorna station catch it on opposite street of hotel.. Perfect stay.. We'll be coming back...Staff are very nice and helpful too.
Nice Hotel good location
The Hotel is difficult to find, since the sign is too small and the internet doesn't work most of the time. Perhaps room is very comfortable and the service is great. Would stay here again.
Good enough
The hotel looks nicer and more modern from the outside than from the inside, but the room and the breakfast were more than OK. The neighborhood has nothing of interest but the hotel is only one block away from the subway which takes you in a few minutes to any place in the city that you wish to visit. We would stay there again
2 unfriendly staff
The hotel was situated close to the metro and so was ideal for traveling to the city center and also for airport and surrounding lakes. The decor was a bit outdated but it was clean. The room seemed spacious. The major issue was there were 2 blonde female staff members that were unfriendly and unaccommodating. They were unfriendly for the whole hotel stay. The rest of the staff were pleasant, but the experience was definitely marred by these 2 young staff.
Close to subway line
Friendly staff, easy accessible location, good breakfast.
MONZA 2015
We stayed at the hotel so we could go to Monza for the grand prix. We can't fault anything really. It was about 30 minutes drive to Monza and on one of the major roads, so ideally placed.
Visit to Milan on trip home
All very good, although no info on City sightseeing buses which seemed surprising to me. One small detail - no tea/coffee making facilities in room although supplied on request. However, our tray had no coffee or milk (just tea and sugar) When I queried this found they did not have any coffee (guest packs)! Staff all helpful and friendly.
Nice and spacious room for a reasonable price. Area near hotel was decent and very close to a metro stop and not too far from the train station.
Good staffs in English
Near to supermarket to buy something at this city.and Good arrangement for car parking when we arrived at hotel.
good place to stay in Milan
staff is very friendly. Understandable limited space in Milan.
Disappointed with make-shift family room
I stayed at Best Western Antares for 1 night along with my wife and her parents. I was quite disappointed with the room. I booked a family room for the 4 of us. The room given to us seemed to be a double room with two extra make-shift beds added in to accommodate 2 extra people. The room was very warm and the air-conditioning was not effective enough to cool the room down. The neighborhood of the hotel does not offer much. We did not find many restaurants or super-markets.
fine overall
Conveniently located near a subway station direct to the centre of Milan. Room is comfortable, but there was some strong scent of sort, which was slightly disturbing. Overall good sleep.
This is located in a neighborhood, more ethnic than tourist
a very pleasant stay
a very pleasant stay with a reasonable price. breakfast was fine, the room was convenient and clean. the hotel isn't in the center of Milan, but it's 2 mins walk from the Metro station, where you'll only have to pass through 5 stations before reaching the Duomo (no need to switch Metros). this hotel is recommended.
it's close to the M1
this hotel is not in the center but located close to the M1 train which is the train that will take you directly to DUOMO. once you get to DUOMO everything is just walking distance from there. you can just walk. IMO if the price is located not in the center price should be a little lower, however the hotel is considered as a 4 star so maybe it's about the star and not the location that will really determine the price for the room. the room no complaints. breakfast have a variety but only a little amount is served on the table and during our stay a lot of guest were their and the food on the service table would run out and we have to wait for them or tell them to refill since there are no more. the last day there was no more bacon they probably run out so you just stick with the egg, sausage but no bacon. lot of bread, cereal, and fruits. close to carrefour but must buy in carrefour earlier they close at 7:30pm.
Lovely hotel.
Stayed for two nights. Hotel was close to Metro station. Rooms were very spacious, and luxiouriously decorated. Very comfortable stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Limited restaurants around the hotel.
the hotel's decoration is old,but the staff is very helpful, the metro is convenience.
Breakfast
Breakfast was extra and higher than any place we have stayed. Parking was tough, but we handled it. Staff was great and very helpful.
Lovely hotel. Very clean. Excellent staff.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We will stay again.
Comfortable, good location
I stayed in a large room with 2 adults (me, spouse) and our 2 kids (5, 9). The room is big, clean and comfortable. There is a Carrefour Express supermarket next door which is useful if you need anything. The Turro metro stop is a very short walk from the hotel. Breakfast is good. I paid some 20 euros for a taxi from the Linate airport.
Very nice interior and comfortable rooms
Very close to underground station, Turro, with direct line access to the centre of Milan. Reasonable gym, spacious rooms and reasonably priced restaurant, only downside is perhaps that it isn't very central but perfect for students or people looking for a very nice hotel near to Milan but not at the centre of Milan prices.
Great family room
Big room with good space for the whole family (4 pax).Internett connection slow and intermittent. Not easy to find parking for the car. Close to tube.
Near metro station, nice staff
The hotel was okay. Nothing special, but comfortable. The breakfast wasn't that good.
Decent hotel, but overpriced
I know hotel rooms are small in Italy, but I was expecting a much larger space for a 4 star hotel. Aside from that, the rooms were clean and had the standard features you'd expect. The only notably positive part of my stay was the breakfast, which consisted of a reasonably wide selection of foods (keeping in mind that breakfast is typically not a big concern in Italy). In terms of location, it was located about 4 minutes walk from a subway station and next to a local supermarket. Overall, this was a decent hotel, but next time I will probably save some money and stay at a 3 star hotel instead.
Comfortable stay
This hotel was clean and comfortable. the breakfast was good and the staff was helpful with advice on the location of the various attractions. The closest metro station to the hotel is about 200 meters away and the stop is called "Turro".
Hotel is clean with nice friendly staff
Nice rooms, near Metro, easy access to main attractions, very helpful staff.
good and kind employees
I enjoyed the stay. room is always clean Quality of service good. I got a fantastic service in the restaurant. Nothing to complain except WiFi did not work alway. I would like to stay again.
Happy overall.
Relatively convenient location; There is a metro station very close by. Only about a ten minute drive from Central Milan station too; Taxi cost us around €15 one way. Rooms are lovely and clean but it was really hot in there and it's against the law to use the air con or heating within certain months of the year so be weary of that! Also; There was no kettle which, I know, can be a big problem for some people. Especially because Italians aren't a fan of tea so it'd be difficult to get outside of the hotel too. The staff were kind and helpful.
Great hotel, bad management
The hotel was great, although it was depicted completely different in the picture... The neighborhood is not the best and it is a far away from the center of the city, but my main complaint is the jerkness of the front desk people. Because it was late at night and she was drunk, my girlfriend and I asked our local friend not to drive home and stay in the sofa of the room, but when we got there the front desk guy started being a complete jerk about how my room was for 2, although I didn't pay per person I paid for the room!! It was the first time they did this to me and I was completely ashamed with the whole show this guy made. Probably will never stay again there because of this.
Great value
Stayed for a conference in Milano congressi. It was a bit far, otherwise no complaints.
We stayed here one night en route to the airport the next day, so can't comment much on the surrounding area which we didn't explore. It was a large room, though a bit tight for 2 adults and 2 children. It actually was better than we expected. The only problem was the bathroom which cramped and the bathroom drain which was not draining.
Worth recommending.
Good location, it's near the metro and Milano Centrale. Less than 25mins by metro to Foro Bonaparte (Turro station to Cairoli station). Front desk staff was accommodating, our room was always clean and breakfast was okay.
Easy metro ride to center.
The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Good breakfast and wifi service.
Nice hotel
Very near to metro station. Also otel room is very large and comfortable.
Grat location to all must-see sights
Comfortable and within easy access to local transport Metro to all that Milan has to offer.
Nice location but bad facilities
The rooms have dark wall paper that's very depressing. The A/C was not functional for the full length of our stay. We had to change our room because we could not sleep on the first night. The new rooms ac was not functional but the Window could be opened. No tea coffee facility in the room
Good Hotel
Could use a bit more care when cleaning & refilling. Staff were 5 stars on their own.
nice hotel
nice place to live in. good location, good rooms. room was a little bit small but it's alright.
Courteous Staff and Beautiful Rooms
Although we had a difficult time with check-in (the hotel could not locate our reservation), the staff was always very courteous, patient and willing to resolve the issue right away. The staff was very accommodating and respectful. In addition, the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is also located very close proximity to a convenient metro stop with easy access to city center, about 15 min total including walk and ride on metro). It is also conveniently located next to Carrefour, a chain grocery store where you can stock up on food and drinks at a low cost. Overall, this hotel is a great value and i would highly recommend!
small but a good hotel
This is a clean and friendly hotel. Service was very good although wireless connectivity to the internet in my room was very poor/spotty. Had to sit in lobby to get good reception Parking can also be a challenge in the area if you do not pay for it. Location was good.
Worst hotel we ever been to
Very poor, tiny room , the smallest shower cabin ever, breakfast I don't even how to describe that - there was no food whatsoever .
hotel concorde close to metro
The hotel is very close to the Metro which is very easy and cheap to use. Only a few stations from Centrale and a few more from Duomo. Staff helpful and courteous.Internet useless - 5 euros and you can't connect and the staff can't help with the internet. Not many restaurants around the hotel but the pizzeria recommended by the hotel just down the street lovely.
Expensive rate for not so impressive customer experience
Breakfast not included in the expensive rate you pay. The hotel shuttle that brought my daughter to the airport hotel asked for a rate higher than what the hotel quoted.
Good Value
We spent 3 days in Milan seeing the sights and going to the opera (La Scala). The hotel location was good, not central, but 3 blocks from Metro then 15 minutes to central Duomo station. Room was pretty nice, and roomy. Overall, great value for money.
good hotel, good location
A well presented hotel in a good location, very close to the main metro line which is handy for the major sites and getitng to Monza (for the motor racing). Hotel had a small on-site resturant but the surrounding area had a good choice and of course, with the metro so close and relatively cheap, eating in the major areas of Milan is an easy option. Car parking is on-site if a little tight to park - best to reverse in to the garage from outside. Room very clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. Breakfast seemed a little overpriced for what it was (and what we were charged elsewhere on the trip) but of a good qaulity. Had similar for about €4-5 less. hotel never responded to any direct emailed requests for the advertised address (we wanted to check parking availability for the GP w/e) which was a bit poor - resorted to getting an italian friend to phone them. That said, all the desk staff spoke good English (and most other European languages from what I could tell) would certainly consider using it again.
not impressed
the room decor is old and very dark , staff is not that helpful (just asking for direction) thou location is good near in metro. dont go around end of August most of the shop is closed..
Nice Hotel and got a great deal very comfortable beds
Close to the subway. Nice hotel and very comfortable beds. Very clean too. A grocery store was right next door too.
Hotel below standard
The temperature was in the high 90s outside during my stay in Milan. The temperature inside my hotel room was the same or hotter. When I complained to the manager, he indicated that it was broken throughout the hotel, had been for the past week, but that a repair person was scheduled to be there two weeks henceforth (the air conditioning in the lobby worked fine). I asked the hotel manager to provide a fan. He indicated that he would look to see if they had one. When I did not hear back from him after 90-minutes I called back, and he said that the hotel did not own any. The furniture was old and worn, the beds were severely stained with what looked like something unspeakable (no associated odor). A hotel of this caliber would be considered 1-star (at best) in the USA, UK, Japan, Singapore, etc.
Nice hotel for the money in Milan
The hotel is just steps away from a Metro station. We had a triple room with 2 double beds and a pull out bed. Room is large in European standard. It's very clean and reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Receptionist took a long time to locate our reservation. Suggest that you bring along your Expedia.ca reservation confirmation email with you. Not an upscale area around the hotel, so don't expect to find nice restaurant nearby.

Good hotel
