good view and staff but need more clean

The property is outdated and the staff are not particularly interested in the guests. Went there for the swim up pool bar (looks great in the pics on Internet). Pool bar wasn't open. Limited dining choice and the meals are basic at best. Room was "nice" but needs maintenance and upgrade. Upon departure, had to arrange to get our own luggage up the steep hill to reception as 'no one was available'. . Would not reccomend as a place to stay.

I didn't like the service when dealing with laundry. I didn't like the pool because it was unsafe while swimming. We didn't get towels for the stay. The whole hotel looked dull and dead.

It is great location but property is not maintained at the great level. The Spa was not working. There is no toilet roll sproved everyday. Had to rewuest everday. The Resort doens't have good WIFI which makes hard for viistors to communicate or order or organize things while overseas.

Nice quite place to stay tucked in vuda area rooms were large and comfortable value for money Would stay here again

We left a T-shirt after checking out and rang the reception but didn't get any response at all.

The dirtiest hotel in the world!

All the bed sheets, room, bathroom, closet, glasses and mugs were very dirty! The floor was not vacuumed and neither mopped! The fridge was super dirty! We even found a cake paper from the previous guests in the closet!!

I didn't like the room as it was the villa and i expected to be clean n mosquito free environment. Very bad stay.

The Pool and Bar restaurant was so like a 5min walk down from where we were . It was very tiring trying to walk back up the mountain hill after dinner just to get back to our hotel rooms. I think the location of pool restaurant n bar should least be halfway not all the way to.the bottom. Didnt enjoy my sleep the aor con disnt work there was so many insecets and frog everywhere

Convenient location for walking to Vuda Marina. Nice large swimming pool, with views out to sea. Cleaning and maintenance of the rooms definitely need more attention. Towels, face cloths & bath mats seemed in short supply…..they were taken for washing (often unnecessarily!) mid morning….but no towels, etc were returned until evening!

The entire stay was relaxing and fun, The staff could use some training and experience to assist guest respectfully. There was issue with Hot water and house keeping supplies for towels and amenities. Overall if you are laid back and there to enjoy it a great location. Island tours during the day was an issue, they sold me a day tour to malamala Island which come to find out was closed, lack of logistic and communication left me with a entire day wasted on an island that i had already done. Lucky i was able to get my refund. I encourage the staffs to respect and value each guest time as some are there for vacation. My overall experience was great just some hiccups that I was ok with.

The Anchorage was so picturesque and the view of the ocean and sunset everynight was so peaceful. The pool was really big too. Restaurant and bar did a good job. More options on the menu would be good. The only thing was they need a hand rail where you get into the pool and the safe in the room wasn't working. We are planning to go back next year. Bula!

Don't book the cheapest room, I had a spa room with Garen views, I was stuck at the very top with a basic room that really needed an update. The walk to the bar is very steep (if you ask reception they will drive you up and down). The other rooms looked good, they said they were full so I couldn't upgrade.

This resort is amazing value. Helpful and friendly staff. Great pool area. Tasty dinner menu. We had a lovely time.

The food was delicious and the village down the road was fun place to play rugby.

My family and I can not fault the staff. From the time we arrived right up to that day we left they made us all feel welcomed and apart of their whanau. We will never forget there hospitality that they gave us. As for the property the owner needs to spend some money into his investment. I noticed around the pool could do with a really good water blast to remove the green, the pool tiles were coming off while we were swimming. The bar hut roof needs fixing. My bathroom and my Sister inlaws bathroom had black mold on the roof and in the showers. The hand base taps had no hot water coming out of them. The lounge beds on the water front could do with a was or a change full of stains. but overall totally loved the vibe and the Staff. I would totally come back again

We had to wait for more than an hour to get our room. We booked one room but were given a 2 bedroom apartment. No welcome on arrival. The apartment was infested with cockroaches, big and small, Sheets were not up to standard. Reception told us to wait at restaurant and the staff there would guide us to our room once ready. However, we had to come back to reception to pick up the key and told to drive to apartment 412 which was no where near to the restaurant. They told us lies. The restaurant staff were very friendly but the menu was very limited to vegetarian guests. I will not recommend anyone to go there.

The People are very lovely, location great for boat to beachcomber, nice restaurant view Unfortunately we must have got a bad room, we did book a cheap one but the shower water went throughout the whole room due to the cracks in the bath/wall? We also only got given 2 towels in the whole room and not till 8pm which we then had to sacrifice to mop up some of the water. We had to unscrew the room light bulb as it didn't turn off fully. We could hear the room next to us all night even their snoring. Anyway im just we just got unlucky the other rooms seemed okay

Too old property

The jetted tub room we got was close to the beach but the tub was in poor condition and did not work. Termites are eating away at wooden bathroom fixtures. Property is not being maintained. Mold around shower edges, Shower handle and fixture was broken. Shower glass cracked. Main entrance door needs work, one can see through the edges around the door. Needs a lot of work to bring it back up to at least a 3 star standard. Service and staff were great, sliding doors to the room needs work, very difficult to open and close. We stayed in room 311.

hygiene way it was not ,i think it need alot of maintenance work in there, the shower need fixing,steeps and overflow of the sewage at the back balcony which i made complain to the staff and some of the staff at restaurant were very friendly

Not happy

Hill view rooms are far away from restaurant. Good only for young people who are physically fit to go up and down to restaurant and pools at seaside.

We stayed for 6 nights in a beachside villa. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were wonderful. Great entertainment Friday and Saturday night.

I enjoyed my stay in this three star resort especially for the price. It covers the basics which was sufficient for me. The facilities are limited and there is only one restaurant which means you need to get your meals from there as there aren't any shops close by. It was nice to get complimentary breakfast with the booking. I would come back again.

Tough an older property,kept up and staff very responsive

The best mountain view, but the rooms are very tired looking and our bed was actually totally broken. We were told that our towel were getting replaced every day which was not the case. The food at the resort restaurant is not very good and we ordered 5 dishes on 5 different night without coriander. However, each time we got coriander in our dishes anyway. The room above is had a massive party on a Wednesday night until 4 o clock the next day. I had informed security about the loud music and screaming several times, but nothing was done. Not very relaxing like a resort should be. Would not go back here …

All of the staff at anchorage were extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful. The food at the restaurant was really reasonably priced and very tasty and large in portion size. The only downside is the location is away from other places so a taxi is required. However, this was also quite cheap so i did not find that too much of an issue.

Staff very helpful, friendly. The only fault I have is that they had a Kava Session in a Thursday night, and we were not advised of this on arrival, we would have loved to have attended the Kava session. Also, as instructed a note stuck to the table advised of you wanted your towels replaced to leave on the bathroom floor, we did this, and never got towels. When we rang reception to ask for our towels, it took them half an hour to bring fresh towels. I was happy to go to reception to collect, but was kept being told, they were coming. Maybe a blackboard at reception on arrival, pointing out that Kava sessions held every Thursday evenings would be a great selling point for new travellers, and also advertising boat tours at the same time. More snack options, such as chocolates or ice blocks as no shops around within walking distance.

It’s okay to stay but need rooms to been clean bath tub was sunk out of wall towels need to be bleach. Shower head was broken. Brown blanket was smelling. Restaurant is great and service was great breakfast was yummy yummy.

Communication was terrible. The pool was unavailable dispite this being the major selling point on the website. The reception never mentioned this at check in. The bathroooms and showers were filthy. The spa was full of ants. We asked to book a taxi and they called a past employee who pretended to be a taxi, he did not even have a meter. We tried to book a trip into the village but was told you have to book 24 hours in advance. This was not described when chwcking in.

Didn't like the room

Wow! I enjoyed staying at this place soo much! The staff are amazing, they remember your name and room number after one time! The hotel offers airport pickups and drop offs, day trips to other islands, days trips to town (Nadi and Lautoka). If/when I come back to Fiji I would stay here again! I loved it!

The reception situation was a big problem as it was at the top of the hill away from restaurant and rooms.

Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms. We arrived late in the evening, had a light dinner in the restaurant which was lovely. then left the next morning after breakfast.

Positives of this review was the room is spacious and clean an amazing view of the mountains. The poolside and bar area had beautiful views too, Friendly and helpful staff. The minor feedback would be, the room advertised “Jetted tub” so I booked that one as it appealed to me however the jetts did not work, water pressure of shower was weak, to a point where I was better off just having a wash in the sea. Only negative of this review would be, a man who appeared to be a person of a management role was yelling at the grounds staff and as we walked past his insulting comments to them were very sad to hear. There is a better way to talk to people including your employees. It was highly unprofessional of him, To conclude this review, despite my negatives I would stay here again.

Wifi is only available in near the pool and restaurant. TV , Bed & phone were all broken in our room on arrival. Property 20 minutes drive from anywhere so you are restricted to eat at the restaurant which is expensive. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Manager was difficult to get hold of which was unprofessional and wasted a lot of time.

Disgusting and dirty place. Not even what’s advertised or looks in the picture. Once’s you get there your stuck as nothing else is near by and they won’t refund you. Rooms are dusty and old looking. Never again checked out earlier

The room was full of mosquitoes and cockroaches! Had no air conditioning and Wi-Fi (although it was advertised as having so! ) the food was very expensive,atrocious and deceiving (Fillet steak??? At best a very tough rump) was served with a very awful au poivre sauce and had ketchup on the side! The bar drinks were also Expensive and limited but the bartender was very friendly! The bar was 5min walking distance from my room and was uneven and dark! And I had to do it in torrential downpour! All in all, a very unpleasant experience!

We had a lovely stay. The hotel rooms on the beach were pleasant, if a little tired. Overall we thought we had value for money. Boat Shed restaurant(great food) and First landing Hotel a $10 cab ride away. Hotel provides trips that are fairly reasonable in cost.

Alot of privacy and just begin quite and relaxing

Front desk was friendly and helpful. Property was in need of repairs. Floors hadn’t been cleaned. Food was not good. Couldn’t get towels until evening of arrival. Couldn’t get beach towels.

It is really hard to give a review on anchorage. There was some amazing parts of our stay, yet some big downfalls. The food and beverage staff were amazing and exceptionally accomodating, as well as the masseuse. We couldn’t fault them at all. The front of desk staff struggled to meet our needs, when we asked about booking things they said they couldn’t and we had to do it via the websites which was a contradiction to what was in the brochures. There are so many things they could have helped us organise as per other resorts and they didn’t. When requesting extra towels ect it was a long wait, they were not automatically replaced when taken which was frustrating. The TV in the room didn’t work, and the place needed a really good deep clean. We did get to spend NYE here and that was exceptional. They really went above and beyond to give all guests a great time which was a highlight. Note there is no wifi in the rooms, only the bar area but due to the weather it always dropped in and out which was hard to organise and book things so if you stay here try and book activities in advance just incase. We did have a good stay but some things to improve on.

This property is set into a really pretty landscape with gorgeous sew views. However, it is so worn and dated there were tiles falling off the pool side, half the children’s playground had been removed from the pictures and the food was dire. Do not book with the meal plan. They don’t tell you until you arrive that it’s a reduced menu which doesn’t cater for vegetarians. There is also a boat service run from outside the restaurant for excursions which meant every morning during breakfast the restaurant area became over run with people with luggage and all sort of random people not from the hotel. Breakfast is both poor at best and the best meal they can serve. Water is not provided at breakfast, only cheap juice and water is available at $6.50 for a bottle to share. Hotel staff were friendly but had no concept of our service expectations. Normally lunch took up to 45 minutes to arrive while only 2-3 tables were there and dinner could be up to an hour from ordering. Hotel staff just said “relax, you’re on Fiji time” as a response for why it took an hour to prepare a pizza and side salad. Not helpful when you have a toddler and are pregnant and need to eat when you’re hungry. Told us the water in the rooms was drinking water but toddler got the runs within 24 hours of arriving. The room hasn’t been updated in such a long time, the hotel has just done patch repairs or not bothered. We were disappointed at best.

It was only for one night, thankfully as the location wasn't ideal. It has a lot of potential but it wasn't as clean as it should be. There were cockroaches running around the bathroom when I woke up during the night, the mold in the bathroom was off putting as was the dead gecko on the bed! The ceiling fan was also caked in dust.

very outdated, had booked family villa and upon checking in Tv and landline dint work. Ceiling fan was swirch on and when i tried to switch off the blade of fanwas hitting the ceiling and made loud bank noise in middle of night, we had to shift the entire bed away from fan cz it seemed it may fall, Breakdast is just so downgrade, only bread and cereal available, no eggs etc. Hotel charges abt $7 fr 2 fried egg, staff are friendly but this place needs a good maintenance. No milk is provided in room for coffee/tea. Far from stores and Restaurants.

A quiet location away from the 'tourist' strip. We enjoyed our stay here a lot, a more authentic fiji experience. 3 star resort in a 3rd world country. The staff were so friendly, the facilities were comfortable (bed mattress a bit hard) and was an easy place to base ourselves for day trips or rest days.

Lovely staff, nice pizzas, property ok given it was closed for 2years due to covid. Showers could have a bit more pressure and food/drink menu a little pricy compared to other restaurants & bars.

Not as described, no security, wifi barely works anywhere, even my service provider was hard to get in touch. When we requested a refund so we could go to another hotel (even though we would now pay ridiculous prices elsewhere since we desperately need alternative accomodation), we were told no refunds would be allowed. They offered a 2 bedroom apartment but when I visited reception the next day to look into that option it was no longer available. We checked out and left immediately and have not received any refund for our stay.

The rooms were in a wing that was not even fully ready or opened.It was dark with light no light on the patio. Very scary. The shower was not working. Sheets or bed gave me rashes. I called the front desk and they said the maintenance will be the the next day. Worst experience.

I complained about no hot water, when maintenance guy came he said I will need to have the water running for 7-10 minutes as this room was at the end of the property. Apparently the management are well aware of this……when complained to reception about giving me a room where I don’t have to wait for the hot water. My complaint was not taken seriously and instead of helping me in the situation they started giving me prices for upgrading. The phones in the room don’t work,

You get what you pay for and this place is cheap. We traveled to other places every day and had a great holiday. This place has suffered due to COVID. Probably was a lot better. If you just want somewhere no frills to stay it’s perfect.

Had booked for family of 4, room for 2 double beds. Got 1 bed only. Changed room 3 times in couple of hours, all had issues. bedding, smell, fan not working, AC not working. Checked out same day

From the time of check, everything was out of place. Booked for 3 adult, amenities supplied for 2 only. On request, got dirty/used drinking glass with lipstick on it. Single bed broken, fan not working, had bunch of ants on bathroom door knob, TV not working. TV got fixed on the 3rd day/check out time :( I had to continuously call reception every day for their incompetence

It was a great hotel 15 years ago. It has a good view, but that's about it. No phone or internet service at all. Rooms are bit out dated. Aircon is about to die, no water at certain time for shower. Breakfast is just continental, very sad. Totally disappointed.
