Perfect holiday stay

Fantastic Christmas holiday stay. From the welcome plate of cookies/fruit, to the delicious dinner at the restaurant with live piano music! Jean Lucca at the front desk gave us excellent tips & recommendations. The room is very well appointed/stylish, with a perfect view of the lake. Everyone at the hotel was gracious & helpful.

Overall very nice hotel. Easy to get to, lovely view from bedroom. Breakfast was quite limited and lukewarm at best and the road outside was busy and noisy all night long otherwise would have given five stars.

Amazing experience. One of our favorite hotels from our Europe trip. We would highly recommend and stay there anytime we are back in Zurich.

Excellent location and staff. Room had an amazing view

We like Ameron but this one has chaged since our last visit from 2022. The price of the room is not worth it anymore: the living space for the higher end room is quite spacious, but the bed is uncomfortable. The night reception and cleaning staff were amazing as always. But the day reception & bellman can be a mix bag. Also, the room has no locks so housekeeping and staff can walk in anytime. There’s a button to indicate do not disturb but it was never respected. Needless to say, we were woken up several times. Soundproofed rooms but disturb by housekeeping several times. Also, the breakfast is good but not much variety if you’re staying for more than 3 days. The burger tasted great but too pricey and it took one hour and a half to prepare. We’ve stayed at other Ameron properties in Europe and this one was a bit disappointing. You stay here for the view. Zurich has changed.

Every thing was good the only problem we faced is the AC was not to cool it was around 23-25 c• so at the hot days the room will be not that cold enough

Big rooms!

Awesome staff, specially Hannah the front office lady kindly arranged the birthday cake for me, it was really a nice surprise, as I was in a foreign country, a few thousands miles away.

For the price the stay was only very average, nothing special.

I didn’t like the property and most of the staff. Some of them were very rude. I can only pick one or two of the staff who are polite, professional, respectful and provide good service. The cleanliness and housekeeping service are awful. I have not noticed any improvement since I gave my previous comments about my last stay from 12 to 14 June 2024

The room number 203 wasn’t ready when I checked in on Wednesday june 12. We found dirty and wet cleaning rag on the chair and also we found a coffee cup upside down after use.

Beautiful hotel. We had a lake view room which was fabulous. Lots of space, and a little balcony. I read some negative reviews about the air conditioning, but the temperature was perfect for us (in May). Great breakfast. The only downside was the coffee wasn't great, but we are coffee snobs!!

This is a really nice hotel with most rooms looking out onto the lake. The lake views were interesting and beautiful. Excellent breakfast and very attentive staff. Easy to get to Old Town on tram line near by. Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

The Bellerive au Lac delivers on its classic luxury promise. Perfect location on the lake edge near the Altstadt, and near the Opera and a short walk to the Kunsthaus. History, great vibe and food in the restaurant, tastefully classic decorated rooms. Communications with the hotel through the in-room tablet is slightly odd that replaces a phone, but very effective and fast in practice. Overall, this is a great place to stay while touristing in Zürich.

wonderful hotel, we had a large room, comfortable. When we arrived, a baby cot was in the room. I want to say a huge thank you to the restaurant staff who kindly agreed to prepare chicken soup for my sick child. also special thanks to Antonina who took care of my family during breakfast.

Good size clean room with lovely decor. Friendly, helpful staff. A beautiful location overlooking the river within close proximity of the shops, cafes, restaurants and excellent transportation links. A perfect place to stay :)

Christmas Markets

We had a great stay and the perfect location to do the Christmas markets and the lake.

The staff at this hotel was fantastic. Very sharp knowledgeable people. The breakfast was the best I ve had in many years of traveling. The room was a good size, quiet , upgraded as well as bathroom. Nothing but good things to say on this hotel stay

My family recently stayed at the AMERON Zürich Bellerive au Lac. We stayed for 3 nights and the premium rooms were absolutely worth it. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-decorated - and the view of Lake Zurich was absolutely stunning. The premium room also included free minibar service and breakfast. In addition, the hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We did have one minor issue during the stay, but the manager resolved it for us and that was greatly appreciated. Although the hotel was a bit away from the heart of the city, the distance was still walkable and one benefit was that the rooms were very quiet with no street noise. Not only would I stay here again, but considering all of these factors, this was perhaps the best hotel room that I have stayed in throughout the world.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The facility is first rate. We recommend anyone staying here to book a lake view room. This is our second stay here and will be our go to hotel when we visit Zurich.

Love AMERON Bellerive Au Lac, this is my fourth time staying here. Staffs are most helpful and friendly, rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and if lucky stunning view of the lake.

A lovely hotel within easy distance to shops and restaurants in the old town area of Zurich as well as the upscale shopping area. The hotel has a lovely view of Lake Zurich and it is across the street from the walkway along the lake.

The bathroom and shower were excellent, and the bed was extremely comfortable. But the room itself was so plain and impersonal! No pictures on the walls, and no character at all!! The charming balcony had a delightful view of the air conditioners below!

Noisy - but nice property with great service

Very nice hotel. Service is great and there is a great view of the lake, but it is very noisy from traffic all night long. It really distracted from a wonderful property. It’s also quite a walk to Old Town.

The property was nice. I tried calling receptionist three times for hotel phone with no answer. Tried messaging on there message board to no avail. We I went to reception desk, someone came out of side office, shaking my head. The breakfast and restaurant staff was amazing !!

They do need to improve the Air Conditioners in the rooms. They are too warm

First and last impression is AMAZING

Amazing hotel, best location for quiet family vacation. Good buffet breakfast, comfot beds, big room for family with a child. Tram 4/2 are 2 streets away. Amazing staff.

The hotel was nice and it’s a great location. The staff is extremely friendly. Unfortunately the AC was not working and it was extremely hot all night.

Disappointing

I was really unhappy with the stay. It’s a beautiful place, it was disappointing that the air conditioner didn’t work. It was so hot we were unable to sleep. We were up and down all night opening the door to cool the room and then closing it due to street noise. When I spoke to the desk because the hotel has air conditioning listed as an amenity, they said. “Yes we have had a lot of complaints, and the temperature is the temperature.” No effort to change the situation or refund a portion of our stay.

It was fine. Great location across from Lake Zurich. Property well designed and maintained.

We were extremely pleased with everything about the hotel until we left. The hotels.com ad listed “airport transfer” among the amenities, which was a main reason we selected it, along with the free breakfast. I asked about their free airport shuttle when we checked in, and the front desk person scheduled us for 8:45am. When we showed up, it was a taxi, and when we arrived at the airport we were charged 63 Swiss francs plus tip. Am having to jump through hoops with Hotels.com to get this settled.

I wouldn’t change a thing about visiting this hotel.. except staying longer. This is probably my favorite hotel I’ve stayed in when traveling in Europe. The premium room is 100% worth it - so much space, beautiful interior, comfortable bed and bedding and cute balcony with a stunning view. Breakfast buffet was delicious and extremely varied. Employees were kind and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Zurich!

This would have been a perfect stay but the breakfast was disappointing- it was short staffed which meant service was slower than expected. Lots of items in the buffet ran out early and weren’t replaced. This detracted from the stay

Lovely location on the lake. Room cleaning was not convenient even though we asked for room to be cleaned. Cleaning service entered our room even though we had put do not disturb on our door. Seemed short of staff for room service and at breakfast.

I was charged 75$ plus tax a night for the extra bed that I did not request or was informed about an extra charge for it when I booked through Expedia nor when I checked in at the hotel. I book 2 trips to Europe before through Expedia before and those beds where completely never charged for them before. This is misleading and a theft and it did made my trip not pleasant

My daughter and myself loved our stay at this hotel! Small boutique hotel clean and walkable to the main attractions. We appreciated the personal approach and helpfulness of the reception staff and the bell man! Very kind and caring to help with any requests or questions we had! Absolutely recommended hotel.
