I had to run out late in the evening and when I returned there was no parking available. I was advised to park behind the property in another lot. The area wasn't poorly plowed and resulted in my walking back to the hotel downhill on a snowy slippery sidewalk in the dark wearing dark clothing. I was concerned walking back for my safety with traffic and the dark unlit walking path back to the hotel. The parking lot was not cleared of snow, the sidewalks were not clear and I slipped exiting the side door on ice.

Always a good place to stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff, i would recommend if u like the convenience to shopping n dining options.

This hotel is very close to shopping and restaurants. The clerk that checked us in was very nice and friendly.

We would like to say the staff was very outstanding. They catered to our needs when we were in a bind due to car problems after we checked out. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Hot tub broke, bathtub had no drain stopper

Our stay was short, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also good and well stocked.

My girlfriend and I needed a room for a quick couples visit. Clean. Staff was nice. Parking was a little tight. Room was more expensive then it should have been for how small the room was.

Great place to stay!

This is a good place to stay on the hill. Easy access to the road. Breakfast choices varied by day, so not having the same thing every day.

All the staff were excellent, but a special shout out to Kiara who welcomed us not only with a great beautiful smile and greeting but was so helpful by making a list of places to eat since it was my wedding anniversary and my son's fiance is vegan we need the right place with options for everyone, and she even went through the trouble of taking the list up to our room. Fantastic service.

No cart available to help with our luggage. Dated interior and not kept up very well.

The hotel and location are ideal. The customer service is not the best. The person on the front desk had a bit of an attitude.

Fitness center out of order, sign on the door. Hockey kids running up and down the hallway and sitting in the hallways, and overall LOUD. Phone in the room did not work.

The rooms were clean and spacious! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The photos online were not what I walked into in my room. The room is missing paint, it’s old and needs updating. This is costing me over $200!!!! For a hard bed and limited amenities. I can book a hotel elsewhere that is updated and has many amenities for $120.

Check in was very easy and quick. Room was clean minus the bathroom. Tub did not drain. Drain plugged with hair. Very gross. Very noisy and rooms were not noise proofed when built.

Nice rooms but breakfast was not good

The room was nice and very clean. The breakfast was very disappointing. The hot foods were empty most of the time and when there was food in there it was not good. It didn’t seem like anyone was attending the breakfast area.

Nice location near restaurants and shopping

Although it was no fault of the hotel, there was a child 2 doors down from us who incessantly cried both nights, making it hard to sleep. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the highway and numerous places to eat/shop/tour. The room was updated at some point because the beds are new, the bathroom had new sink/toilet/shower. The bathroom could use some paint and new gyprock. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice green space behind the hotel to let your dog go to the bathroom and picnic tables to sit on. I would stay here again, if ever in Duluth. Thanks for the stay!

At first we thought we would like to be closer to canal park, but with all the construction, we were in a good location where getting around was easier

We have stayed here before and loved it! Great staff and services as well as being in a good location.

Too many issues for the price

We had a room on the first floor, and our room smelled of cigarette smoke and had a lot of noise from the above floors throughout both nights; I wish I had requested a room on the top floor. We were also missing our ice bucket and our room key didn't work on the second day of our 2-night stay; the front desk clerk was helpful in both instances.

There is only one thing that I had to complain about is the check. I was told 2 o’clock at the easiest but when I came in the front desk clerk was rude and and said they were short staffed and that 3 would be the check in and also a car was being worked on by the entrance - looked like a rear end brake job in the parking lot and appeared to be an employees car! The front desk client that was working after 3 was very pleasant and friendly.

Bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival. They didn’t offer a new room, but cleaned the bathroom, after we made them aware

The door to the bathroom was very loud and didn’t really close well. No hot tub, ice machine was down, coffee machine was in the room, but the thing that held the coffee filter in the machine was missing.

Bed uncomfortable. Toilet paper to thin. They keep running out of breakfast food. Coffee was bad tasting .

The front desk staff was very non-sensitive about the fact that one of our party could not walk very well and put them at the end of the hall. Instead of saying the other door would’ve been a closer walk for that person.

Nice clean hotel in an area full of stores and restaurants. Bonus: pancake maker at breakfast was super cute and made two pancakes per “order.”

The little touches that are new are associated with changes brought on by the purchase of the properties by Wyndham and I can tell....and they are pet friendly too.

The pool was small , but nice and heated. Breakfast was simple but fine.

It was a nice place for an overnight stay

It was great and people were very nice.

The room was fresh, clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Beds and pillows comfortable. Equipped with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Freshly made pancakes were a nice touch to a large breakfast buffet although the powdered eggs and Tang were a disappointment. Although this was a very nice facility, I thought it was overpriced.

The outside of the property could use some sprucing up. Otherwise the staff was friendly, the room was clean. It was in a great location close to shopping and food options.

This is my new go to when in Duluth. Rooms were beautiful and clean. I loved the breakfast. I cant wait to go back. It was very close to all my shopping!

We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time.The hotel was very, quiet, nice staff and convenient to everything around Duluth.

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were flat. The breakfast was awful! There was no hot food ready on 2 of the mornings, and the food was undercooked when there was hot food. There was also no bread options 2 days as well. While the hotel was fine, the breakfast was terrible.

The wife and I felt so comfortable during our stay! Highly recommend.

The only issue was keeping up with the breakfast bar. Both mornings we stayed at the hotel, we had to wait for the food to be replenished. Otherwise, there were no issues. My wife requests the addition of a hot tub(not a complaint).

We only stayed here 1 night but it was a pretty decent room. Pool was warm, breakfast was good. The pancake maker is amazing LOL

We were greeted by friendly staff upon our arrival. The room was very clean, the bathroom spotless, the beds were comfortable and the amenities plentiful. This was our first stay at AmericInn. We will definitely stay again.

Booked room short notice after decided to stay up in Duluth for the night. Front desk lady was incredible friendly and helpful when asking to check in early. Breakfast the next morning was great and the entire place had a very homey feel.

No room in parking lot. Had to park in a handicap spot. Dog across the hall intermittently barking elevator right next store pinged and the refrigerator in the room gurguled non stop. Not the best experience But it was clean and staff were nice.

Nice weekend stay, good price

It was a nice little stay. The service was fantastic. It wasn't the nicest or newest place, and the pool left a lot to be desired, but for me and my 6-year old had a great time.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Our shower may have missed a cleaning as it was gross and slimy, i ended up cleaning it with a washcloth and body wash before we could use

There was stomping noise above us at around midnight - 12:30. Nothing the staff could do unless we complained, which we didn't. Wore earplugs, problem solved. Breakfast was basic. Staff were friendly. Good value for the money overall.

We had a very nice room, but we did have trouble putting up the electronic shade. The pool was nice as well. It doesn't have a hot tub though.
