Clean, comfortable and incredibly central.

Amazing central location right next to the bell tower and cathedral! Super easy check in and check out. No key cards (they text you your room code) so no need to worry about having it on you all the time. Room was very clean and bed super comfortable. Lovely towels and chocolates on the pillow. Bottle of water each provided free of charge. Really useful to be able to store our luggage in the luggage room on the last day as we had a late night flight.

Very good location, close to every touristic atraction. Rooms are pretty big but need refurbished, the furniture looks very old. We have just one radiator in the room which barely worked. The AC didn't work at all. We asked for an extra heater, which solved the problem. Even so, nobody came to try to fix the AC during our stay. Also, nobody came to clean our room in three days. You can say the hotel is a good value for money, but that is about it.

It is right in the center of the town conveniently located close to museums , restaurants, bars , transportation. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that serves breakfast & dinner. There is buffet style breakfast on the weekends. The service crew was courteous & polite . The rooms could use a little sprucing up ! The first room we were staying in was a suite . Both thermostats (2) were not working ; the bathroom fan was not working; the shower door can not hold the water ; the door locks were damaged , so you can not close the door ... The second room we were staying was a Deluxe room with interior window. The carpet was stained. The bathroom fan working , but the light was very dim . You could smell cigarette smoke all night coming from the vents. The front desk service is available till 8 pm only, though exterior hotel door is open till 11 pm. I'm not sure what would happen if you arrive after 8pm? There is no gym in the hotel , but there is a beauty salon.You could run outside , but I don't think you should : the streets and sidewalks are very uneven ... Otherwise : it was great !

Fantastic hotel in an ideal location, right opposite the stunning cathedral. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room was amazingly spacious and had all the amenities I wanted.

Really lovely hotel, perfect location, great breakfast, lovely rooms and staff. Check in was a bit strange but once we'd been sent the info we needed it was easy enough. We extended our check out to 12pm with no issue and no extra payment required. The only thing we would have liked was a price list for the mini bar, we didnt have anything from it because we didnt know how much it was. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Perfect hotel for our stay in Vilnius!

Location and hotel is great. View and convenience was the key for me as solo traveler. Room size is fine. Walking distance to old town and main attraction places. Transportation options are great. It could be a downside that reception is open only 9am to 8pm. It was not hotel's issue, more of Expedia issue- my data (ph number and email, payment) was not transfered to hotel's system therefore I did not get self check if access codes via email. Actual check i. Was rather smoothbut could have been an issue if I was checking in after reception desk working hours. Restaurant is great, breakfast was as expected. Great overall, definitely would stay here again.

Very good location, service is up and down

Stayed 5 nights. Was able to get the same room for 2 bookings--one with tour group, then extra night on our own. The restaurant and its workers were nice and the outdoor patio is lovely. The Cathedral Square is literally across the street, so you are well positioned to view and visit this amazing city. The parking at this hotel is awful! The underground garage has 8 spaces but absolutely No room to maneuvre the car into and out of the space. It was also 30 Euros per night, which seems very high. The reception staff were all young locals and all seemed to have an attitude. One young man even seemed gleeful when I initially asked about getting a parking space and he said 'it's all full!' with a big smile on his face! I did communicate with the hotel several times through hotels.com and they were good about responding quickly, so if you want to use their parking services, best to arrange this well in advance! Our room was not serviced at all during our stay, and 1 of the elevators was not functioning. The hotel was full, so there was a lot of waiting for the 1 working elevator.

Niggles- can easily be solved.

Great Location. Breakfast was expensive for what you got. Lots of coffee shops around to have something different. The pillows were flat and not enough of them. Didn’t ask for additional pillows as it seemed no one around to speak to, to ask. Other than that the rooms were spacious and clean.

Staff was very abrupt and verging on outright rude on checking in, air conditioning set at 23.5c and could not be changed, room was hot, no windows to open, filthy carpet and refrigerator, bed was very low and only 2 small pillows. Could not wait to leave the hotel and ended up checking out early and skipping the 2nd breakfast we had already paid for as it was also horrible.

Didn't like the check-in. Took ages to check in. The only hotel we stopped at on our explore holiday that wanted credit card and passport details. We had booked an additional night at same hotel after our organised group tour. I was told we could have same room, but we were then locked out on second day. We were given a new code after we paid tax, this could have all been sorted on original check-in. Our room wasn't cleaned or towels refreshed. Entering code into room door was tricky as the lights were on motion sensors in the halls and the light went out before the code could be entered. Breakfast was very good.

Overall, the stay was very good. Perfect location, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast. However, the contact-less check in and check-out experience was not that perfect, especially, when checking in and out outside of the normal working hours.The idea of a reception free hotel is nice, but the execution had it's flaws.

Hotel is in a good location and easy to get to, This is advertised as a 4 star hotel which I would disagree with. Hotel is clean but rooms are old wooden furnature and in need of updating. Bed was not comfortable and a small pillow. No room cleaning during our 3 night stay. Now here is the best bit, I get home to 129 euros being taken out of my account for mini bar usage,we never touched the minibar. Shocking error on behalf of this hotel. Im in the process of contacting the management awaiting for the response. Meanwhile im stuck with a large bill. If you stay here I hope you do not recieve the same treatment we did, what a let down to the great time in Vilnius by a so called 4 star hotel. I will never return or recommend it.

I stayed here four nights. It’s clear they are having staffing and maybe cash flow issues. There’s no one to help you after 8pm. I could not get hot water in shower to work - turned out I was doing it wrong because no water is supposed to come out if you only turn on the hot side. I could tell the staff had explained this a thousand times. Maintenance was grumpy. No mattress pad which I found icky and odd. The restaurant has a fantastic breakfast well worth the price. The menu rest of the day is limited but there are lots of options around. Excellent location.

Very good location and the price was cheap for our stay. Large size of rooms and shower. Clean and nice hotel in perfect location, around a lot of restaurants, visiting places and shops. We liked that you need tu use password to unlock the doors of the room, so you dont need any card or key to carry with you. Definitely recommend for others :)

Amzing had a great nights sleep

In general nothing i can say about the room. It was descent and if you think the price and the location it s fine. Just the hotel cannot be considered as a 4 star property without having proper staff and reception. We arrived at night and we had never received the self check in instructions as it was supposed to be. So we had to try to call the central call center at 3 am waiting outside of the hotel with a 5 month baby. After some time they told us on this line that we couldn t receive the instructions cause the government tax was not paid.although we already pre paid the whole night rate on expedia. Also very cheap amenities for 4 star

Proximity with all the things to see • Well isolated • Scooter available for free (you have to ask the desk for the code) but the autonomy isn't too high. • Toilet,bathroom,bedroom are clean. -:•My air conditioner didn't work well, it was always on 25°C so I didn't sleep well the first night and the second night I've told them and they tried to manage me with the air conditioner screen, but it wasn't working so they gave me an other room for my last night. The air conditioner didn't work as well but I had the poasibility to open the window in this room so I slept better. (Special mention to the customer service for their quickly response and solution) • I think the bathrooms need to be refreshed (joints) but it was acceptable. • Some stains on the walls and carpets But the rate quality-price is pretty good. I didn't try de breakfast but there was always a lot of people in the reataurant, I will try the next time.

Hotel didn’t send check in instructions till 10pm. There is no one at the front desk after 6pm, so you are out of luck if you arrive at a later time. To get to your room one has to navigate a maze of passages through the building. Room windows face a hallway. It’s quiet but feels stuffy. No AC. Room was clean with a decent bed. Wouldn’t stay here if it’s more than just one night.

Amazing. Fantastic. Super efficient, useful, clean. Has everything that you need. I was a solo traveler from Melbourne, Australia. Found a deal online, it was super affordable. And the location is perfect. In the centre of Vilnius and close/walking distance to everything. Everyone around is friendly and speaks English. I’m very glad I chose Amberton hotel. Highly recommended.

I have enjoyed the stay as I knew it will be very convenient in terms of location, shopping, dinning and transport links. The only thing I was not fan of was the initial email in which I was told that access code will be sent to me on the day of my stay by 2pm. It would be less confusing if the guests were informed they will need to pay city tax at the hotel before the access code is released. The staff on the other hand was very helpful.

The hotel is not clean. Bathroom was really disgusting, the nightstand dusty and there was a brown stain on the bed comforter. The toillet with was stained and the shower covered with mold. As a cherry on the cake, the elevator was out of service. The only advantage of this hotel is its location. You need to be aware that there's no staff at nights, so the service is going to be by phone.

Two star - check-in nightmare

A two star hotel at best. Laberinth of corridors, concerning fire safety and the check-in is a nightmare. Honestly, you deserve better. I moved hotels after two nights.

There is no reception and self check in did not go smooth - I was not provided instructions for it, had to make long phone calls in order to get the email with the codes and room number. After we got into our room, it was not what we ordered (ordered a double bed - got two single beds), then again had to call customer service and I was told that they actually do not have anymore free rooms so the change of the room was not possible. The breakfast quality was very average.

It was fairly difficult to sort out the booking from the very beginning. Their checkout didn’t want to accept any of my UK cards(had to pay via bank transfer). There is no reception and you have to email or call in order to find out anything. The noise level at night was a bit of a problem. Definitely not a good place if you are a light sleeper. Location is great.

THE ROOM LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE AND I PAID 92€ A NIGHT. The hotel doesn’t have reception, check in is all they WhatsApp. When I got to the room and requested on WhatsApp to be moved to the room I booked, they just straight up ignored me. The room was old and dated, and there was a used towel in the bathroom. I felt cheated. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

The room is good but no reception and too hot room

Room was really small under the roof, it was really difficult to find a way to room. Also I didn’t saw when I booked that there is no reception in a hotel and you get a code and room number by email. And the horrible thing was that in my room air condition didn’t work and at night it was not possible to sleep, because weather was really hot outside and under the roof you really feel it.

I didn't read the small print when booking and didn't realize they didn't have a front desk. I wanted to add additional nights without checking out of the room I had booked but ended up booking a room at a hotel across the street. The breakfast is okay and it is in a great location. The walls are thin though and if you are next to a noisy family like we were you may find it hard to sleep, children were running around and screaming well after 1:45 in the morning. This property has potential to be a great place to stay if it was adequately staffed and refurbished some.

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. Enjoyed the food. Had a couple questions but without a staffed front desk there was noway to ask someone which was very frustrating!

The virtual reception idea needs some extra thought, something like a check-in/virtual receptionist machine in the lobby at the very least.

Parking with charging for electric cars

Чудное местоположение с красивым видом, просторный номер, но маленькая ванная комната. Wifi и ТВ в норме, завтрак на высоком уровне, богатый выбор и все вкусно. Стойки регистрации нет, все произошло по телефону и почту чтоб попасть в комнату. Оператор регистрации не говорит по русски. Паркинг очень маленький, но есть зарядка для электротранспорта Type2. Счет за проживание пришлось 2 раза запрашивать по почте и 2 раза звонить - безобразно работают ответственные лица!

As a traveler I wouldn’t suggest staying at this hotel. Costumer service and admission of this hotel were really unhelpful if any issues arises: soap dispensers we’re not working properly, some lamps with not working bulbs, Tv remote with not working batteries, shower was not cleaned properly, cold breakfast etc. I was deeply disappointed with this hotel.

Amberton Hotel property and location is outstanding. Restaurant food and staff superb. However, management needs to wake up - they allow cars to park in the entry and exit to the hotel's main entrance regularly, and at least on one occassion, over four hours. This is a fire hazard and needs to be fixed now. Amberton is doing an experiment with no staff, which works surprisingly well. However, if they are going to so this, they must provide their own telephone, not rely guests using their phones. Hey management, what if a paying customer has a phone whose battery just ran out of power? Just out of luck? Sleep in the street? Bottom line, these are easy fixes which take next to no money and no time, and are necesary, so time to get on it!

We, a family of three, stayed in a 4-star in Lithuania and a 5-star in Riga. I travel for business frequently and we always stay in 4 and 5 star hotels as a family. The only other Baltic state we’ve visited is Estonia. We booked a ‘suite’ at this hotel. There were two good size rooms, perfect if you want to stay up while someone else sleeps in the other room. The sofa bed was not made up on arrival and when we asked someone to do so, they threw a sheet over the sofa without extending it so I had to make it up again when they left. The rooms were hot, even after we turned off the radiator, turned on the ‘aircon’ and opened windows. There was a faint old stain on the very top of the ‘proper’ bed sheet that you wouldn’t have seen if you didn’t have a jumping child destroying the bed. The shower room couldn’t have been any smaller, nor could the shower itself. The fittings and furnishings were in good condition but basic - think synthetic velvet coverings and mid-pile grey carpet. The breakfast was very good. You have to pay for the nice toiletries, there is dispenser soap in the shower and next to the sink. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner should not be available— the standard is so poor it makes the hotel look even cheaper than if you didn’t have them at all. The location is excellent. The staff are helpful. The beds are fine to sleep in and the noise is well blocked out. The TVs did not work, the broadband was slow. I would not stay again, but it was OK.

The air con couldn’t be altered from 25 degrees, so didn’t sleep well. Asked 3 times for it to be fixed and it never was, despite being told someone was coming now. Hotel was ok but a bit underwhelming. Mattress was hard, asked for a topper and one was fitted the same day. Breakfast was ok, but a bit underwhelming, all in all good location and OK, not good and not bad, underwhelming.

15 hours in Vilnius

Located in a great location to allow you wander through the Oldtown area. We were gone by 5am the following morrning so missed breakfast, however the hotel had a bag with a sandwich, mini pastries, an apple and a bottle of water for each of us. They also made a coffee for us.

Simply Beautiful

Just came back from our stay at the Amberton hotel and can say, I'm so glad I picked this place. The location is the best you can get in the city located right outside of cathedral square with brethtaking views as soon as you step outside of the hotel. Just a 10 minute walk from old town and only a stone throw away from plenty of resturants/bars. Also I would like to add, after speaking to some locals they all confirmed that the Amberton hotel was in the top 3 hotels in the city. If i was to be real fussy then the only downside would have to be the comfort of the pillows, they wernt the best but that didn't stop us from having a great stay at this hotel or this beautiful city. Would highly recommend.

It was a spectacular hotel - except for the fact that the ventilation system draws air intake from an outside area where people are always smoking, which makes nearly every room in the hotel smell like cigarette smoke during the night hours. This really needs to be addressed. Otherwise, it was a superb stay in a first-rate hotel.

Location was perfect. The only thing that would have made it excellent would have been if the hot food served at breakfast had actually been hot & with cold plates it wasn't very appetising. Having said that the variety is very good. We never ate there in the evenings.

We have asked for a smoking room while booking, but the hotel don’t have any, they are supposed not to accept any request for smoking rooms. But that make the client to arrive and not to have option to leave as the client finds out at the last minute that this hotel is no smoking at all, that was bad. Other thing the parking is not free and it’s expensive and now valet, Otherwise very good and nice hotel.

By far the best hotel in Vilnius! I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and each visit is better than the last. It is clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff is very friendly and the offered breakfast is truly delicious! Also, the restaurant has quite an eloquent dinner menu - my favorite being their salmon. Definitely would give a 10/10 rating for this Amberton. Until next time!

Service expectations did not match the location

Fabulous location for the city and good breakfast however I tried emailing three times to organise an airport transfer, none of which arrived, when I checked in the answer was it was probably them not recognising an AOL address, fine but two of the times I used their 'contact us' website link! In the afternoon I requested two more pillows (as the large double bed only comes with two and no spares in the room), these never turned up although I did have success when requesting again for the second night (thank goodness). As I had turned up earlier than my girlfriend I asked at reception (rather than email) if they would be able to arrange and airport transfer for her, they effectively said she may as well get a taxi ! If that is all that's offered stop making it out you provide a service as it certainly isn't ! I was disappointed that a hotel in such a prominent location feels it I appropriate to not provide any tea or coffee making facility other than by purchasing a premium coffee of tea sachet in their room and even if I had wanted tea there was no milk (English habit ha ha). 3.5 Euro's is not cheap for do it yourself coffee!! To add to this the maid (who did a very good job at cleaning/tidying) removed the unfinished bottles of water we had both bought previously leaving us to buy the bottled water provided! A complaint rectified this but it just added to an unfortunate list of disappointments. These issues are all easily rectified, its just called service.

We only stayed for one night. It was clean and reasonably comfortable but basic. Tea & coffee making facilities wete available but there were items in the room that were an extra cost.
