The staff are friendly and helpful. But the room does not have air conditioning but you don't usually need it
Fair for the price
Room was clean and had all the amenities as described. Good neighborhood. Price was ok for what it was. I was down in the basement that smelt like mold when I got there. As I was sleeping in the middle of the night the water from the neighbor showering above started leaking down onto my bed. There was already pre existing signs around the light fixture that this wasn’t the first time it had happened and probably accounts for the mold smell. The front desk was quick to come and investigate. They were apologetic and changed out my comforter with a new one but really I didn’t want to be in that moldy room anymore. Stuff happens I guess so I don’t particularly fault them except I’m sure it wasn’t the first time that water had leaked.
Great location, friendly check-in and out. Nothing flash on the inside but does the job.
There was no ovenwe were supposed to be there a week!! There was no heating the tv didnt work!! They were charging £1.1k!!! Absolutely disgusting. Managed to leave and get a refund
Outdated and dirty - worse than the photos
Rooms look nothing like the photo. The room was old, unclean and generally disgusting. Exposed electric cables in the bathroom under the sink was worrying. Bed sheets and duvet covers had marks and stains. No heating, just an oil radiator that looked decades old. Carpet was covered in stains, skirting boards were yellow and full of dust and dirt. Hotel was generally unclean, unprofessional and unpresentable. We were forced to spend minimum time here. We also had to spend £50 parking elsewhere as the hotel does not offer parking, despite advertising that it does. Overall the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had
Property is in a nice area but it also need some elbow grease in maintenance. I expected more for the price and description of the rooms. Needs remodelling and more insulation between the floors. You can hear people walking over at any time of the day and night. Does not have safe box, and if you ask for an iron or hair dryer they ask for a deposit. Well located but I won’t recommend the stay.
The property was very old and outdated. I had to climb 61 stairsvto room each time because of no elevator.
Some electrical sockets didn’t work and it was very noisy outside (nothing they can do about that obviously) but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was despite the cheap price
Very comfortable and clean and neat to tube and buses to travel around
Pleasant stay
The staffs are all very helpful and friendly. Great service and hospitality.
Payed £130 for the night. Outside hotel exterior is nice, however that ends as soon as you enter the premisise. Tired and dated, obvious that little work goes into the upkeep. Stayed in a lower-level room that smelt absolutley awful, the window was open upon arrival to obviously try and ventilate the smell. Stained carpets, marks on walls, evidence of damp on bathroom ceiling, musty water in iron made it stink, cupboard door was hanging off, blood spot on pillow, didnt use any of the kitchen facilites as place seemed unclean overall. While getting ready to leave, the reception called us twice at 10.25 and 10.27 to tell us to exit the room. Checkout 10.30, got to reception at 10.35 as interupted twice by pushy receptionist on phone. We came for a concert during the tube strike so took the hotel out of despiration, as everywhere else was booked up. Only spent 4/5 hours actually sleeping in the hotel. If you just need a bed for the night, you could risk it, but if you are staying for any longer than one night, i wouldnt go here. 1*
Great location for my needs. Loved that I could drop my bags off before check-in. Some street noise in the evening but not a showstopper for me. Would have no problem to book again.
Basic, good location, okish value for money
Easy to check-in, room was spacious and beds very comfortable. Good location, close to city centre and tube stations. If you book with time there are better options in the area but it is a good last minute place to crash if you decide to take a last minute trip to London and planning for a night out.
No Internet Access
The staff was very friendly. However we had trouble with connecting with the internet so for our 3 day stay we had no wifi. So maybe other people won't have an issue for us 4 students not having internet access was a major disappointment.
Holiday during covid
Well situated good old fashioned Keys for gaining entry would stay here again
Self catering stay whilst working in London
Great location for this basement self catering room. Only heating was electric and room was in need of some refurbishment. Reception was good. Noisy at night as road was busy and no double glazing. Reasonably priced though.
Room was very cluttered too much stuff in such a small room. Bathroom and kitchen were freezing as only heating was a small plug in radiator where the beds were so nothing in the bathroom would have been impossible to shower or bath in such cold room. Beds were comfy enough but smelt sweaty like they hadn’t been washed especially the pillows but quilt too. Nice to have the little kitchen there if staying for a few days. Staff were brilliant tho very helpful and friendly especially when I couldn’t shut the window in my room. Needs a update I think and cleaning better but was ok for the one night we were staying.
Room looked old a communal areas very poor. Much like a hostel from many years ago. Needs improvement
Super communication prior to our visit, we were able to check in very
A great find in London
Friendly welcome, especially as it was evening and unexpectedly . Lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great location, would definitely recommend.
Very strange smell in the rooms. Windows rattle every time a bus/truck passes nearby.
Internet was very bad.
It’s ok
It was okay as we didn’t stay long in the room, it was just a place to spend one night as we were seeing a show. The facilities were basic and worn however they were clean. The tv didn’t work but we were given a free WiFi code. The caretaker was very helpful and polite so check in was very efficient. The hotel is very well located but parking is on the road and is £5 per hour but free after 6:30pm and free on Sunday. There is a NCCP car park nearby but that was £10 and hour but may be cheaper if you book in advanced.
It was perfect for a one night stay and close enough to where we needed to be
Adequate but room for improvement
The room I was in was on the lower ground floor. The room was adequate, had clean linen, reasonable bed, en suit bathroom and kitchenette. Quite disappointing was the window in the room that rattled constantly all night and being single glazed, as well as being below street level, made for a very noisy night. For 80 pounds a night, I'd highly recommend this being addressed.
Great stay
The hotel had everything i needed and in a very good location. Staff were very nice.
The location is great, and it was sparkly clean. However it is in a basement, down small and very old stairs, and one feels a bit like in a cellar. When the neighbour showers the noise is very loud. And above all, there is no internet service in the room: no connection gets through.
Good central location, but with that comes a lot of noise.
Liked the litte kitchen ideal for making breakfast and especially the fridge/freezer Room was yery hot even with window open. Traffic noise was a problem with window open
Great location and good value for money for London. Pleasant and friendly staff who created a relaxed and caring atmosphere.
Keep away
This has got to be one of the worst trips we have ever experienced. We booked 2 rooms and found they were in 2 separate buildings. The carpets and curtains were filthy. The toilet in one of them.would not flush properly. When i told the caretaker he wasvery rude and we were told not to put the dirty bogroll down the toilet but into the bin next to it.never in this country have i ever been told not to lush toilet paper down the toilet. So after a dump next morning i didnt put toilet paper down into toilet but it still rose up and didnt go until after 4 flushes.thebathroom otself was so small as was the kitchen. There werr a few coffee sachets but no milk pots. The whole weekend was spoilt by this.
Good value for money
Overall, value for money... the staff was helpful, the room and beds were clean, the location was fine.
Very well located and a good place to stop at a competitive price we will come again
great room in the convenient location, really clear. The room is also very big
Don’t recommend find another hotel, check in only guy for the hotel not nice at all. Good luck with him
Consider the Evidence
I booked two rooms, one of which I was unable to use initially due to an attempted unblocking of the toilet (previous occupant having stuffed matter down the u-bend: class) and later on a no-show on behalf of the caretaker (no receptionist in the afternoon on a Saturday, so no caretaker = no key). In addition, due to the unblocking of the 2nd toilet, my tiny bathroom flooded. Kettle and phone also broken, and the curtains were filthy. My friend ended up sleeping on my floor. In defence of the place, I got a refund.
Good location, poor condition
Great location but very hot room, smelt like onion in corridor, tea and coffee but no milk, and most of the plugs didn't work
Pass your way
The reception of the hotel opens at 9am and closes at 6pm. After that you have to ring the caretaker who took 10 minutes to arrive, stayed on the phone with his girlfriend during the whole process where you paid the room, receive the key and go to your room. There, he forgot to give you instructions for the Wifi, but said that you can call him anytime with the phone in the room (that appeared not working). So in the room, the wall sockets next to the bed was not working, no information about the "free" WiFi, and no possibility to manage the temperature of the water in your shower!! you have around 5 minutes of cold water, and then in 10 seconds, the water becomes boiling....no way to stay under that water. So the next morning, you take a shower in 5 minutes, with cold water because then you will lose your skin. And this was not an episodic issue, as the shower button was clearly broken and roughly fixed. And as a normal people, you leave quite early to go work (before 9am), so you can't see anyone, same during the evening because you're not here before 6pm, and as the phone doesn't work in your room, you are stuck for 2 more days. Do not recommend.
Convenient Location and Comfortable Accommodation.
The little apartment was most conveniently located for me, close to Baker Street Underground and a range of buses along Marylebone Road. It was great to have the kitchen - cook top, microwave, refrigerator, utensils and equipment. When I arrived the chaps in the office helped reinstall the TV and also the wifi which wouldn't work on my computer. I was most grateful for the assistance.
Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Good safe area of London. My phone kept dropping hotel wifi connection, but could just have been my phone. Not recently decorated, but perfectly good condition. Only stayed one night but would have been comfortable for a week.
Good location
I had no signal in the hotel at all. WiFi doesn’t work
it is a nice quiet area, but close enough to Oxford St and tube stations to be able to get anywhere.
Can't recommend
Noisy uncomfortable, poor WiFi and not particularly cheap
Curtains hanging off, iron burns on carpet, dirty stained chairs, no valance on bed. Told we could only have a room in the basement because we booked on line they could not change this. Told we should have booked direct for a good room. That said great position and kitchenette a bonus. This was a birthday weekend that was dissapointing. I dont live like this at home and I paid extra as it looked great online.
Previous guest with key, stopped by, surprise !!!
The location was great. The door bell doesn't ring, but the staff inside were very friendly and polite. The room was ready at 11:30. That was excellent service. There was hair on the duvet cover. The room is large, with old furniture and in need of a paint job. The kitchen was small, but functional. It's london I understand you get what you pay for. But, 30 minutes after we checked in(approx 12:00 midday) the door rattled and a lady, the previous guest from last night, entered the room. She still had a key!!!! To top it off, on checkout we were instructed to leave our bags in the room and come back to collect them from reception later in the day. There was no one there, no one answered the on call phone, the normal phone or the caretaker number. After 30 minutes the phone was answered and someone came to give us our bags back. Again very polite. But not what you need when you are leaving for a train/ bus/ flight. I would not stay here again.
The hotel room was incredibly cold, we slept in our base layers and pyjamas. The location is great, but I would not stay here again. It is dated and unfriendly.
Helpful staff, great room, tiny bathroom, no lift 66 stairs 3 floors up. Great location
Just adequate accommodation
Comfort spoiled by lack of hot water for morning shower. Condition a little outdated & worn.
Good value for money
The location is great - just a 5 minute walk to Oxford street. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a bit outdated and the carpet could use a replacement. However, good value for money.
Room a bit shabby, electric shower didn’t work properly and alternated between freezing cold and scaldingly hot. Noise from other rooms intrusive.
The location is great. I stayed here one night and would not stay there again. I was not provided with information regarding WiFi or what number to call when reception was not available upon check in. Reception is limited and I didn’t have hot water next day. The WiFi didn’t work either. The room is outdated.
Great location, the day time staff extremly helpful , typical durty carpet on the floor and dimm lights. The shower was great and the beds comfortable wich I think are the most important thing. No information about the wi-fi ??
we liked it!
we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. great location. room was big, clean, and the beds were great. for the price payed.. great deal!
Excellent except for the noise
Good little hotel near Marble Arch only flaw was the room was very noisy even throughout the night due to poorly fitting windows. If you can sleep through everything then this would be a perfect place to stay but for me it was two nights of lost sleep due to constantly been disturbed by road noise.
Okay
Very dated and in need of modernisation, but good area and price
They had lost my booking and double booked, did very little effort to do anything about it. Had to argue with them for a long while until they realised they had a room for me. Would otherwise just have kicked me out it feels like. Then asked for more money than advertised on this site. Also said I had to pay for WiFi although that was also on here. All in all pretty bad in other words.
You get what you pay for, and I had an overall very nice stay! Staff was helpful and nice. Location was also pretty good.
The room was very pleasant, and charming old fashioned. The supermarket was next corner, which was very helpful. I would stay there again.
I'd stay there again
The room had a shower/wc room and a kitchen and it was all was clean and tidy. My only criticisms are that the carpet and curtains were tired and the sofa had a throw over it - which I didn't dare look underneath! The hotel also had no breakfast facilities - but the bed was clean and comfortable, the shower worked well and it was quiet.
One night stay on business.
Perfectly fine for a night. Price driven by location rather than quality of the hotel.
Good value with kitchen.
Decent lodging and location. Great value. Kitchen small but functional. We were well looked after. Made use of transport from airport. Worth while.
A very decent room
In some ways, the apartment was of very high quality, very spacious, comfy bed, large bathroom, separate kitchen, powered towel rail, but in others, it was really dated and a lot of the things in there would really benefit from being thoroughly cleaned or replaced altogether. My impression was that it used to be a very old and worn apartment in which things are being replaced bit by bit and everything that is being removed, is replaced with a modern shiny new thing, while all the not-yet-replaced things remain old and worn. Then again, it was quite cheap for its location. My apartment was in the basement and the mobile reception was terrible.
Would stay again
It was clean and the service was very good. Staff were very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Central location which was good as I am disabled and cannot walk far. The only thing I can say is that the Wi-Fi voucher only lasts 15 hours each time so often it would run out before the reception was open again.
So convenient
Overall ok for the money. Gave us a very convenient base to see central London..did the job needs a lick of paint and refurbishment but for the money was ok
Clean but very basic.
We never could get the WiFi to work. We also requested a queen bed and were given two twin beds.
Good if you are going to concert at Hyde park
Excellent location if going to Hyde park about a 10 minute walk even less to oxford street, close to tube station. Owner very friendly, lovely clean room comfortable bed, would stay here again.
Wonderful location and helpful staff. Had a pleasant stay.
Nice location, hotel a little tired in places but adds to the character. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Basic Accommodation
Fit for purpose accommodation, just about clean enough with warm running water (just!).
Good value
Ideal when travelling into marylebone station. Easy walk to local tube station and overall a perfect location for visiting London
Berbat!!

Check in was smooth and easy, we arrived early and room was ready, it was clean and had little travel shower, shampoo and soap laid on towels lovely gesture. Check out was the same and we were able to leave our bags until we were ready to depart London. Would certainly come back
