My wife and I enjoyed our time at the Lodge. The staff is amazing, they did everything possible to make our stay the best it could be. The reception by Tellus and his team made the start of the stay start right. Shout out to Shimir, he is extremely knowledgeable of the region and went above and beyond expectations to share key insights on the Amazon Rainforest. I highly recommend property.

Overpriced greenwashing

expensive for what it was. Tours packed into one day leaving the rest of the stay with nothing to do other than purchase in the bar or purchase additional tours. Lack of ecological consciousness with straws in all drinks, despite eco park in the name. Disappointing tours, very short. Reception staff not friendly at all. Was expecting much better service and comfort given the price.

Overall pretty good

Food was very repetitive. Wine very, very expensive — $16 CDN a glass. No coffee/tea making in room. No complimentary water. Standard Room was actually not bad for a Lodge in the middle of the Amazon, BUT walls were paper thin and it was like the people next door were in our room when they talked or played music. Transfer was great, staff though English was there 2nd language really tried and were friendly and accommodating. No wifi in room. Only in lobby.

Complete rip off

Going to and from the hotel is an extra 200 RLS which is an extra on top of your hotel charge. The offer limited number of tours - when and if they have enough people. The cost of the tours are 2x that of normal ones you would get else where in manaus. Restaurant and rooms are really filthy, bathroom is really bad especially the shower. No glass windows in the room, only screens on the windows, if you close the shutters you are simply in a box.

Beautiful setting on the Rio Negro

Has more comfort than expected for a jungle lodge, including AC and showers. Bungalows are small, but the beds are good, windows have nets and shutters. No TVs or WIFI in the room. WIFI at the lobby. Buffet is great w plenty of local fruit, fish and great coffee. A beautiful natural pool from a stream. We arrange the transfers from airport with the lodge, as they can only be reached by boat.

Good to visit to forest. Bathroom to be renewed.

We stayed at this hotel the first week of November and the river in front of the reception (were there is the beach) was completely dry. So the boat for the excurtions and the transfers for/to the airport were leaving us at 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The walk is nice because it is in the forest (it is also safe). The excurtions offered by the hotel were safe and quite convenient (a part of the excurtion to the water meeting point that took the entire day, all the other excurtions were about 60 and 90 minutes). You can write to the hotel to get in advance the price list of the excurtions. The food was good and with enough choice. The room was accetable except for the bathroom that really need a seriuos refurbishment. Overall I recomend this hotel. PS: we were traveling with our baby of 20 months and it was safe for him too and he enjoyed all the excurtions, including swimming with delphins and touching the monkeys.

Great place to see the Amazon rivers & forest

The hotel is beautiful and the area extremely nice to experience the Amazon. The staff is great and friendly. The only 2 things that can get better are 1) bedroom - the matresses are a bit hard and the shower curtain need to be longer to avoid the bathroom getting wet and 2) food - food was reasonable but missed more options of fruit

Great stay! The food was good. The tours were fine. We met a lot of nice people and shared laughs and decent beer! For a hotel in the jungle, I was very satisfied. The room was clean, water warm, and all facilities working. Good choice for those who want a jungle "light" experience!

AMAZON LITE

Call this Amazon Lite-- you can still feel the effects of the big city not far away in terms of hearing planes, rock music, TV in the lounge, folks on their devices in the lobby. So if you want the real deal you need to go further. But for me, coming off a Pantanal trip that was hard traveling, I really enjoyed being here and didn't feel deprived as I have travelled Amazon before in Peru. The food here is excellent. Staff super friendly and trying hard to please. Bugs really not a problem since the mosquitos find the acidity of black water not to their liking for egg laying, so it's a blessed relief to get away from Deet and not have to take anti-malarials!!! I hired a guide to canoe me around for birding, and I enjoyed Monkey island enough to go twice. Meeting of the Waters entirely too long of a trip -- 7 hours and you could watch on YouTube. Don't trust the tip box: they give it out once yearly, allegedly. Put the money directly in the hands of those who serve you, and they're so grateful. Be sure to leave your unwanted garments behind -- I always travel planning to leave everything behind and make room for inevitable souvenirs. They'll do your laundry. It's a very comfortable, if busy lodge. Staff is really great.

Worst hotel I ever stayed. Not recommended!

Don't know from where to start? Lets start with good points(1 star is for those things only)- 1-Location 2-Activities Bad points(Too many)- Cleanliness-pathetic.Bathrooms-need major upgrades. But biggest issue is the front desk staff. The day we checked in i asked the front desk person(Maurice) specifically if i need to book the activities now n he said that can be done anytime, we just need to be there at the reception 10minutes early n we can do that. So we came next day not 10 mints but 30 mints early n this guy says-SORRY, WE ARE SOLD OUT.I was like what? I was ready to book everything last night but u only said not required n now u r saying its sold out !! Guy was not even sorry abt that..may be we don't speak Portuguese(only english) thats y. Again We booked couple of activities to make sure we are not missing anything but alas! we were asked to be present at the reception 10 minutes early before the departure n again we were there 30 minutes early and also asked front desk staff that if we should wait here or do we need to go somewhere else. they said just wait here n guide will come to take u. but boy.. the trip left without us !! And thats where I felt what a waste of money n time that i booked this pathetic hotel.Wanted to check out very same day but after a lot of miscommunication within their staff they arranged a boat for us so we can be reached to catch that trip. But it was no fun. If they don't understand english, they shud nt book ppl who speak only english !

You will probably not like it

I went there to get "a taste of the rainforest" - und to bird watch. Bird watching was good - but most everything else was disappointing. First, the place caters to package tourists that arrive with huge suit cases - really kills the jungle feel. Transfer is way to expensive for a 10min car / 15min boat ride. Quality of rooms very low. I enjoyed being out in the rain forest but would look for something more authentic next time.

Great location

We loved the location! We really wanted something out of the city and in the Amazon. The ride from the city to the lodge is excellent. They charge a fee for transport to/from the lodge. Pack snacks! Breakfast is free. The restaurant prepares a buffet lunch and dinner at set times only and in between meals, you don't have other options (except a hot cheese and ham sandwich prepared at the bar). The food was really good! I recommend the morning walk into the jungle!

A terrible place

A total rip off Booked on Expedia, did show them the reservation details, but still front desk came up with exorbitant charges like $600 just for one night at checkout time, (It's a less than two star property) like $150 per person to pick up & dropoff at airport. (a 10 min car ride & 15 min canoe ride to reach this place) Shocked to see those charges.

Amazon light

Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge is a great place to stay if you are looking for a bit of the Amazon while maintaining comfort and convenience. The accommodations and food were great. Rooms are very clean, almost completely bug free (which is hard to do in the jungle), staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a beautiful natural pool for swimming or relaxing. The only complaint my group had was that the tours were of poor quality. The guide we had, Francisco, was great and he was born and raised in the jungle, which meant he had a lot of indigenous knowledge. However, the tours were short, they were right around the Lodge and there wasn't much to see. Luckily there are some neat animals that call the Lodge home: a macaw, a sloth and her baby, about 5 types of monkeys, and some slitheries. We found the price we paid exceptional because we got a great price on Expedia and then just did pay as you go with tours, food and drink. Most people there are on packages, which are common and very expensive in the Brazilian Amazon. We felt that if we had booked a package, which start at about $350/person/night and go up, that the value wouldn't have been satisfying. We paid $81/night for a 3-4 person room and food, drinks and tours came up to under $300 each for 4 days and 3 nights. A woman we spoke to had a package for 2 nights and 2 days that cost her $1200. My advice is that Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge is a great place to stay if you are just looking for Amazon light.

Rain forest paradise

The lodge was up 2 tributaries of the Rio Negra. The setting is lovely. The rooms are cabins; simple but perfect for the experience. If you don't like bugs or are expecting a safari then go to Disneyland or Africa. There aren't a lot of animals in the Amazon but you go to a monkey reserve, meeting of the waters, a back water experience, walk and village. Booking thru hotels.com is great because you can pick and choose what you want to do. The food was just as good as the pricey food in Rio. The guides were great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There aren't many choices out here so Ecopark was the best unless you want to pay $1000 a night and at that place you aren't even near the meeting of the waters. The hot water worked and so did the air con. We would have preferred ceiling fans. The internet was fine but like if you need internet and complain you can't always get it; go on a different kind of vacation.

Good hotel.... hidden costs

Very enjoyable stay.... a lot cheaper than the other Amazon jungle hotels, and only 20min's from Manaus by boat. Accommodation basic, but fun to stay in a jungle hut (with air-con!). Food good quality, but expensive at 50 Real per meal, (with no snack options offered - ie 50 real, or nothing). My only dissapointment was the transfer... they charge US $ 60 per person for a 2 way hotel transfer.... was only a 20 minute boat ride... that's stupidly expensive

The closest to jungle a "white collar" can get

This is the closest to Manaus very old and overused mild jungle lodge if you just want to see how does it look like to sleep overnight in the Amazon Rainforest. Once you get there you have the feeling of being far away from civilization although there is electricity and socializing between the guests in the lobby. Another good thing is that there is no tv in the rooms and the place is quiet, safe and peaceful in general terms. There are moskitos so one must use repelants. Two or three days are enough and acomodation plus meals plus drinks plus excursions plus souvenirs plus transfers will cost you more or less 700-800 brazilian reais per person each day.The very bad thing is the coordination of the transfers in and out of the hotel and there is certain confusion because the operations office is in Rio de Janeiro and the hotel is outside Manaus so confusion with the coordination is not uncomon. It happened to me too when I got there so one must make the arrangements withbthe hotel ahead of time. The personell was very polite and friendly with everyone.

Good ambiance, pleasing setting, ok tours.

I went with my parents - so didn't want to get too adventurous. This hotel, was not too far from Manaus city, and yet gave us a good flavor of jungle living, without compromising too much on urban comforts. We found the cottages quite pleasing, the setting lush, with a couple of birds that lived there. We enjoyed our stay and the tours we took from the hotel. We also enjoyed the camaraderie with the other tourists and you get to know them all after a tour together. It felt nice and cozy, comfortable hammocks, decent food, wonderful ambience. Many of the tours actually don't offer much - I would just recommend the meeting of the waters and perhaps the jungle hike and monkey forest.

Vale a pena.

Expectativas superadas!

A região é exuberante.

Hotel Bom! Nota 10 quanto a limpeza e atendimento. Profissionais solicitos e atenciosos. No geral, nota 7.

Nao recomendo.
