Amazing Hotel & Service

Everything was amazing: the room, the view, the pools, the service and the breakfast

Amazing hotel, amazing staff.

Amara was an excellent facility with excellent service. The breakfast spread was beautiful and delicious. I had a private yoga practice with Larissa she went above and beyond. We also had two masssages both were wonderful. Highly recommend Amara.

Do not stay here! My flight got cancelled on my way to the airport and there was no way for me to arrive at the property until the next night therefore I had to cancel my entire trip because it didn’t make sense to go for only one night. The hotel refused to refund my money and I never even stepped foot on this property! Expedia is refusing to take responsibility even though I also purchased the Insurance protection plan.

Panikos from the breakfast room and pool staff were extremely helpful and attentive. We can’t wait to come back

Best 5 star hotel in Limassol!!

High value

This hotel was easily on the top 3 hotels I’ve stayed at in my lifetime. I’ve rarely reviewed my stays unless it was above or below expectations. This hotel really embodies the idea of a home away from home. It has absolutely everything you may need in a resort, incredible dining options, and an outstanding staff that’s trained extremely well to anticipate what you may need. The spa was also one of the best I’ve experienced with a 3000 year old wall in the middle of it that the hotel has preserved in the construction process. This is the kind if hotel you visit and spend most of the time there enjoying their facilities. The rooms are incredible but they are not the stand out feature of our stay. The only comment to offer a fair review is that there isn’t much around the area in terms of touristic sites or walks, it’s definitely a staycation type of resort. I will visit again probably within the next 4-5 months purely due to our enjoyment there.

Overall the hotel is very well maintained but as a platinum expedia members we were declined the upgrade given that the hotel was not fully booked. Amenities are decent and facilities are acceptable (eg not enough pools or seating beds) for the capacity at the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. We took our kids with us and they absolutely loved the indoor pool and kids club.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Amara in Limassol, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the hotel service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The rooms at Amara are a true definition of luxury. Not only were they beautifully decorated, but the view across the sea was absolutely breathtaking. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, which added to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. Speaking of service, it was top-notch. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, and the offer of a late check-out was a thoughtful gesture that truly made our stay memorable. The facilities at Amara are second to none, with the stunning pool being a standout feature. It provided the perfect backdrop for unwinding and soaking up the sun. While the location, right on the beach, was convenient for relaxation, it was also just a short drive away from the bustling center of Limassol, offering the best of both worlds. Considering the level of service, amenities, and overall experience, I found the value for money at Amara to be exceptional, especially considering it's a 5-star hotel. In conclusion, I can't wait to return to Amara. The combination of impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and unbeatable facilities made for an unforgettable gateway.

Our experience at the Amara was perfect. Our sea view room was modern, clean and quiet with spectacular views. The restaurants were all fabulous with Michelin star chefs. The food and cocktails were delicious. And the breakfast in the morning was sheer perfection with lots of variety. The spa was gorgeous and huge and our treatments were lovely.

the hotel was more than perfact in every aspect it is the best hotel we ever stayed there is no even one comment great food in breakfast and all 4 resturants the room was very clean and with great open view the mini bar was all the time refilled we celebrated my wife's birthday and they paid attention to the date we will defintly come again

Disappointing

Well as a gold member and having booked 3 rooms at hotels.com vip property at amara and not having to be granted my vip perks as a gold member it was a bit disappointing The staff did not want to grant us even our bottle of wine . I travel more then 15-20 times a year for business and stay at hotels.com vip properties all the time and this time was very different

Good property

The beach and pool staff was friendly and helpful, on the other side the room service was always very late even for just water . The reception staff wasn’t very friendly and helpful.overall I rate my experience 7 out of 10.

Excellent visit

5 days of pure relaxation and luxury.

Had an amazing stay at the Amara. Five days of total relaxation and luxury. Rooms have everything you need, staff are all polite and attentive. Restaurants all really good food. Recommendation to anyone booking is to book restaurants in advance as they get full on Friday and Saturday. Would recommend and will be returning.

lovely sea view from room. comfortable seats on balcony. prompt and friendly service once asked for. breakfast was amazing, gets crowded at times. The TV stand would have been better had it not been put at the foot of the bed. this way, you can only watch TV while in bed.

disappointing and unprofessional behavior

- we booked 5 rooms and asked to be placed on the same floor. The reception informed that this option is not available, which is understandable, but mentioned that we can easily move between rooms since we have the same elevator. what she did not say is that each one of us had access to their floor only, and this is very deceptive - another issue is, upon check in i used my amex. however the machine did not accept it because of connection issue although i was charged. The receptionist the moment the payment was not confirmed asked me to deal with it and contact “JCC” which is a local entity in Cyprus & i did not know it. I had to insist that she needs to investigate it and the only party i can talk to is my card provider - my biggest issue is that i had to checkout earlier because of a death in my family. I informed the reception a day before for a refund or to apply the cancellation policy. The receptionist promised to come back to me. she never did. However on the day of checkout i asked again and she said that its not possible. I mentioned that it does not make sense since you have a cancellation policy. She referred me to another lady and she said the issue is related to the fact i booked through hotels.com as they will deduct fees anyways if they don’t approve. I asked if hotels.com contacted the hotel to confirm their approval would amara hotel accept to apply the cancellation policy and she confirmed. I called hotels.com and they called amara and they refused

Excellent

The property offers a unique and excellent experience

We stayed at Amara last week and had an amazing time. We had two interconnected rooms with amazing bathroom facilities, beds and sea view balconies. The many highlights include the incredible breakfast Buffett, the ladies cooking omelettes deserve a special mention as do the front of House people every morning who looked after us perfectly. The pool team were incredible and nothing was too much trouble. Ignore other reviews about pools as the adult and children pools are well designed and compliment each other perfectly. The best seats are by the sea and we never had any issues getting seats. The housekeepers were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the hotel and locally. Very easy to get a taxi also. A wonderful break and we look forward to returning again. Thank you all.

The service is not perfect

One of the best resorts I have stayed at recently. Truly a top of the line hotel doesnt fall from the Four Seasons brand. Excellent service great restaurants and not too expensive.

Beautiful hotel, great service. We ate at both restaurants (Japanese and Italian) - prices are very steep. Will definitely return next time I’m in Limassol.

Stunning property and excellent service

It was an amazing stay! We went there the whole family, my husband, myself and our 3 kids and son in law, we loved it and thought it was the perfect place for a family vacation (we are a family of adults mind you) We really didn’t want to leave it. Friendly place, relaxing and beautiful.

What a place!

Cannot fault this hotel. The staff were amazing. So attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was stunning and had more than we could ever need. Restaurants were faultless. Good amazing. We’ll be back again next year!!!

We had an amazing time at amara, its really set a standard for future holidays !! One complaint is the amount of plastic bottles used - they should have some refillable bottle water stations. We felt guilty using 4 plastic bottles a day In addition to above - we didnt get our free expedia gold member upgrade, despite their being availability...

I thought it was a very well thought out hotel for the size which continued to give you privacy and service. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.

Loved this hotel. Tasteful modern interior, nice spacious rooms. A good selection of restaurants but also nicely located so that Limassol is only a 15/20 minute taxi away if you want to sample the truly local cuisine.

Hotel was nice, however Did not receive the VIP benefits and check in was not a smooth process which let my stay down. Overpriced for what you get.

The pool in spa is extremely cold. Staff at gift shop is very miserable.

It is supposed to be an exotic above 5 star luxury hotel yet they couldn’t assign a pest control team to solve the wild cats issue in the facilities of the hotel which are supposed to be hygienic and presentable (the restaurants - matsuhisa and the breakfast area - and the pool area )

TERRIBLE service, definitely not for what your paying and for the rating of the hotel. It wasn’t just bad it was actually terrible service. I was in shock and couldn’t not believe the lack of professionalism. I had to wait for over an hour each time I asked for water, glasses, towels or ANYTHING! Staff need training!!! I stayed at the Four Seasons the week before and was brilliant compared. Will never stay at Amara again! Such a shame, they will lose so much business, I’m sure many have experienced this, especially those who travel and know about service! SO disappointing!!!!!

Not sure if I received room upgrade. I wasn’t told I had or hadn’t. Received bottle of red wine - thanks - although was a cheap brand! Nice hotel. Lovely decor. Great spa. Bar service was so slow. Restaurants were fully booked both nights. Not much happening restaurant wise outside hotel so had to eat at bar.

Loved it. Wanted to extend our stay however they were fully booked. Will definitely come back.

High quality rooms, with first class service

High standard quaintly rooms, with lots of little extras. Comfy beds, good gym and spa. Great choice of quality food at the buffet style breakfast with excellent level of service and attention by the staff. This has to be the best hotel in Cyprus. Only negative feedback is to remove the disposable toiletries from the bedrooms and use refills.

The hotel itself is of amazing luxury and full of art. The rooms are lovely, the beds sooo comfy and the spa is out of this world in design. The breakfast also great. Probably because it’s November some restaurants were closed and the service was slow or insufficient at parts especially at the reception which was very slow. The pool stuff were great though. It’s definitely an amazing experience.

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at! Couple of highlights are the buffet breakfast, numerous infinity pools, amazing view from our room balcony, polite and friendly staff that went over and beyond. Will definitely be coming here again!
