It was amazing, close to everything. Only complaint is there was a lot of ants in the apartment.
Apartment is nice and roomy and quite clean. Area was quite perfect and central as well. As many reviews mention, be aware of lots of steep stairs! Also the other downside for me was stains on the sheets. But overall great stay!
Amazing place, good location, tram next to bedroom
The apartment itself is amazing, great living room and the garden is perfect for the summer. Location is 9/10 in Lisbon. Just so you know, the tram goes right next to the bedroom and there is also a bar next door that have some laud techno from time to time. During the first night (Wednesday) we could not sleep in the bedroom because of the bass. They only give you one set of keys. Cleaning fee is visible on the bill the cleaning we got during 5 days was one set of new towels.
Unpleasant stay
We had a week stay at Ama apartments. There is a very steep staircase to enter the apartment with about 60 steps. Almost like a ladder. The apartment was tired and needed a paint job with miss-matched furniture. The main issue we had was with our bed that was too noisy to sleep on. Ama offered to change rooms but the room they offered was with more stairs and no closet space so we refused. They reimbursed us for one night and the next 6 nights we ended up putting the matress on the floor each night, which was very painful for our backs (Since the box on the bottom was broken and made the noise) i asked the hotel if they can just change the box or even remove it from the room but they said it was not possible. Over all it was an unpleasant stay for us.
Apartment was clean and well kitted out. Maybe not so suited for three fellas staying as space was limited, perhaps it would have suited a smaller group or a couple. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location was brilliant, only a short walk to most areas of interest. Finally, If your looking for a workout then your in luck, the stairs are not for the faint hearted. Like most streets in Lisbon they are steep and long! See Attached😂
1 Location central 2 on the busy street but with very good noise reduction windows.
Staff very friendly and helpful Was not aware of the stairs, but the receptionist carried our bags to and from the apt.
Beautiful little apartment, wonderful staff
I highly recommend this place! The apartment was lovely, very clean and modern. The staff were outstanding and were really supportive throughout our stay. The apartment is in a lovely area, about 5 mins walk into the centre, close to the metro and train station. Amazing place!!! Don’t miss out on this little gem.
Great Stay
Nuno and his staff were so helpful and welcoming. Our flight arrived early, and Nuno arranged to take our bags so we could explore Lisbon. He texted us when our apartment was ready. He also arranged to have a staff member help us with our bags at 4 am on the morning of departure. I highly recommend this pleasant and centrally located property.
First time in Portugal
I had an amazing time at Ama Apartments. It's in the heart of Lisbon, in Bairro Alto, which is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods for nightlife. The residence was in walking distance to all the local sites, shops, and restaurants. Overall great accommodations! I would stay here again. Nuno and Marco were super helpful with whatever I needed. Thanks!
Great centrally located apartment
This apartment is clean, bright, comfortable and located in the heart of one of Lisbon's historic neighborhoods. It's a wonderful place to stay.
Week in Alma Apartments,Lisbon.
Excellent apartment in a central area, handy for transport to rest of Lisbon. Spacious and comfortable, but there were 39 near vertical stairs to the apartment, something to consider if you are not so mobile. Diogo and Nounou couldn't have been more helpful in all respects, from carrying our cases up those stairs to info. about cafés, restaurants, etc. Many good places to eat on Rua do Combro, inc. 'As Zebras Do Combro', about 50 yards from Alma. Superb fish and others. All these places to eat are right out of the apartment, up the hill towards the square and underground station.
At home in Lisbon
As the name suggests, the apartment is suitable for extended stays. We could only stay 3 nights, but was spacious and fully furnished for comfort. Very pleasing designer touches in evidence. Note: there is a formidable staircase, but as mentioned in other reviews, Diogo the manager is more than helpful. He met us late in evening and took our bags up and delayed check-in until next morning for our convenience. (Much appreciated since we had flown all night and day to get there.) He and his associate were very helpful in getting us on our way for great visit.
Great welcome on arrival. Staircase steep but help with luggage on arrival and departure. Apartment very comfortable and a convenient location for sight seeing and restaurants.
No se cómo los responsables turísticos de Lisboa permiten unos alojamientos con una escalera de acceso indigna e impracticable.
A pleasant experience
Nice apartment with a good location in Lisbon.
Ejendommen ligger særdeles centralt i f,t. lækre små spisesteder. Vejret: supergodt sommervejr - sidst i september.
God valg

Great apartments in bairro alto
I stayed here for almost 3 weeks in December-January. First time staying here and was great. The apartment was an exceptional value and quite nice and i really liked the location. If you’re looking for quiet at night i wouls not stay here or anywhere in this area as you can sometimes hear sounds from the street at night. If that doesnt bother you and you don’t mind climing some very steep stairs (common in this psrt of Lisbon) then I'd definitely recommend staying here. It's central to so many restaurants and nightlife and other things to do - i hardly even needed to use transit, just walked everywhere. And the front desk staff are very helpful and responsive. They clean about twice a week too and you can arrange the days/times with them. I've already booked another stay here in the summer.
