Disappointing.
There were no towels in the room on arrival. When we asked for some, 3 hand towels were delivered. The following day we managed to receive some bath towels which were so old and thin it was barely worth it. There was also no drinking water available and when we asked for some, we were charged for bottles. There is nothing “boutique” about this hotel. The only saving grace is the staff who were welcoming and friendly.
Slow Internet Good Brekafast
The location was just what I wanted - all the places in Nicosia I wanted to visit were within a reasonable walk - the art gallery and museum were 20 minutes walk, the Old Town about 30, the crossing to North Nicosia about 40, and best of all the municipal park with peacocks, and river walk were only 10 minutes away. There were also nice restaurants and bars just accross the road. The main bus station for the airport was about 3 miles away so it needed another bus or taxi to get there and once you are in the taxi you might as well go all the way to the airport.
Great Value
It was well run with good front of house staff.
Hotel was nice & clean but service not the best unfortunately.
Not as advertised!!!!
No bar as advertised!! No snack or deli as advertised!! Beds very uncomfortable and pillows need to be changed. Very stuffy in the room as the air con was not switched on at main point. Couldn’t open the window as room on road side which was very noisy. Although in a decent location would not stay here again.
A pleasant day
A nice experience and a nice stay.
the hotel location is in quite area and very afe
pre christmas sunshine
From the start of our stay to our departure the receptionist was one of the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever expreienced.
Good location. Great personnel, always willing to help.
ice and easy in Nicosia
Good location 10minutd drive to Center of Nicosia. Quick and easy check in Good value fog money, excellent service All good
The staff were very friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. The location of the hotel makes it calm.
I stayed at the hotel for four nights as I was attending a confernce at Nicosia University. The hotel was first class. The service was excellent, the breakfast delicious, however what really imprssed me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the magnificent staff. Thank you and I'll visit again.
Quirky modern hotel
The hotel is modern and a bit quirky. nice design. The reception was very good. The room was large and comfortable with a nice balcony. It is on a noisy corner though. The maintenance of the room, particularly the bathroom could do with attention. Cracked and broken tiles etc. WiFi was excellent. Breakfast a bit spartan but adequate. I will stay again.
Everything I needed.
Perfect hotel. Just what I needed for business purposes.
Boutique? not sure, but clean and friendly.
Not sure i would describe it as a 'boutique' hotel, but ok, comfortable. Bathroom slightly sad, un finished in places. Breakfast adequate. On site parking 5 spaces only, plenty of on street parking around the area, but dont expect plenty of secure on site. Friendly staff.
Overall my stay there was ok. The only problem I had there was the heating /cooling did not work right. I would have it on cooling it cooled for a while the before to Long the heat would come on. I would have to turn the unit off for a while then I could turn it back on. Told the hotel about it. I hope they get the problem fixed.
Ok
OK hotel, but bathrooms are very tired. Bar staff slow.
Nice hotel, easy access and well situated, very helpful and friendly staff.
Nice clean hotel, staff friendly
Clean hotel, spacy rooms, silent and all over pleasant. However, not all the staff are competent in English. The location is poor, dignified street but far away from everything. They would do good to have a shuttle.
Could do better
It took us 12 minutes to get checked in. Handed over our passports, sat down and waited. No-one else checked in or out whilst we were waiting. Car registration not asked for, limited parking at hotel. TV channels all in Greek. Small bathroom, cheap and ill-fitting toilet seat. No 'comments sheet' in room or available at reception on departure. Nicosia is obviously a hot city, a welcome complimentary cold bottle/s of water would be well appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel but they luck....the will to service
For some reason my hotel did not have a mini refrigerator (the other rooms did). I asked for one...the said they will...they forgot...I called again...and they said...they couldnt!!!...eventually they aranged The bathtub was clogged and the water was very slow to drain - it took them 2 days to finally...come to the room and fix it I forgot my charger after I left and called them to courier it to me...they said they will and I emailed them my address as requested...two days later I emailed it again...but got no response again...when I called she said she found my cable in her drawer and would immediately call the courrier...one really has to beg to get some service...whatever that may be!
Hi A good hotel. But u can get a better deal in the same price. An aur conditioning was very bad , dusty rooms. A very smelly lift. Mahesh Ireland
Nice hotel but old an need of a good clean
Staff at reception restaurant were friendly and efficient and helpful and all spoke English . Breakfast was excellent . The corridors need redecorating and a good vacuuming . The bedrooms are like something from the sixties .. Old , broken tiles , mould around the bath , cheap plastic cover on toilet seat .. Worse than most cheap hostels I've stayed in .
Nice hotel worth for the amount paid.
Receptive staff. TV stations limited to Greek speaking channels.
We only stayed for 1 night but have enjoyed the hotel. The room size was the best feature for us as it was really big and ideal for a family with 2 kids. The bathrooms need renovation and the rooms need some decoration and a carpet would be great. All in all it was good value for money!
Nicosia stay
Nice friendly hotel, not far from center. would stay again,
Good value option just outside the town centre
Overall a nice place, convenient for the Cyprus Museum (a ten minute walk away) and the town (another five to ten minutes walk). The locale doesn't look particularly appealing but was quite quiet. The downstairs lounge area was stylish and inviting. The room looked like is had received a freshen up recently and the bed was comfortable. Conversely, the bathroom wasn't so inviting and looked like it could be modernised a little, and the over-bath shower was on the weaker side. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the manager on the front desk when we arrived and left was a character. He also recommended a very good taverna down the road - tou Pampou - if you're looking for authentic Greek Cypriot food run and patronised by locals :-) Breakfast was less impressive - there didn't seem to be a lot of choice available and the hot food not hugely hot. There is a small amount of parking on site outside the main entrance, plus a row of parking spaces with 15 minutes waiting time if you just need to drop off your luggage before returning your hire car (as we did).
Staff great but air con struggling even in June so not completely comfortable
Conveniently located hotel
Hotel is conveniently located within driving distance to the centre of Nicosia. The people are nice, and the facilities fine, but sound proofing is not very good (can hear every flush for rooms around and traffic noise).
Nice place, worth the money
Nice place, worth the buck. Nothing special, very average altogether, but the staff was very friendly and for a short business trip it supplied my needs. Wifi in rooms in all floors is provided and very very helpful.
A/C kept cutting out making room very hot
Hotel available at cheaper rate on other sites.
the staff were very friendly and helpful the hotel was clean and the location was good. we booked a suite and to be truthful it was very basic for example no bedside lamps.. the provision of slippers a boutique hotel does not make! i could not fault the service however the buffet breakfast was NOT GOOD. It may be an idea for the hotel management to consider Not providing a buffet if they dont have the guests but on slower days offering a choice off a breakfast menu. All in all not bad but very basic for the price
fantastic service
Excellent hotel with fantastic service
Happy Single Traveler
This was the 3rd hotel that I stayed at during my 2 week stay in Cyprus and by far the best. I'm not sure why it's being rated so low by others. There was some noise from the traffic on the street and the rooms are a contemporary minimalist style. The location is not central but it's not a far walk at all to the old town section. They had the most comfortable bed by far, the best shower and water pressure, the best internet, the bet TV options, the best breakfast by far and no add ons or surprises. It is a solid 4 star.
Cool modern hotel
Altius is walking distance (about 1 mile) from Nicosia's town center making it very convenient to see that part of the city and the archeology museum just outside it. If you travel to Cyprus, though, I recommend you take a taxi or have gps as the street signs are small and difficult to spot at times and the streets are windy and have the same name for only small segments. This made the hotel a bit hard to find.
Very pleasant/helpful staff
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The various staff members were all very friendly and helpful. My one complaint was that the wireless signal was 'flaky' on my floor; but, the staff went out of their way to try to help.
Great hotel off the city centre
Stayed here for 9 nights. Location is close to the city centre of Nicosia. There is a bus stop nearby to the hotel but I didn't take it so I'm not sure where exactly it takes you. However, walking distance to city centre is about 20 minutes away, not ideal for in the summer heat but not too bad. The staff were all very friendly and I had not issues whatsover. Rooms were generally tidy with air conditioning working well. Bathrooms were ok, could probably do with a refurbishment in mine. No fridge in the rooms though which was a shame. Room had a decent sized balcony.
big bedroom, small bathroom
breakfast could be better, and the hotel include services like shuttles, bike hires, etc.
Great modern and clean hotel with friendly staff.
Very welcoming staff and excellent experience at the hotel except for the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant. It was extremely slow. When I asked if they had the cheesecake it took 15 minutes for the waiter to return to say "yes". Then another 20 minutes for them to thaw it. Other than that, we were happy with the service and the clean, modern hotel. Easy walking distance (ten minutes) to the old town and the Cyprus Museum.
Övernattnings hotell till en rimligt pris.
Det är ett bra pris med frukost.
Bon rapport qualité prix a Nicosie
More expensive than anticipated
Parking was included in the hotel price. However, when we arrived, the tiny parking lot was full. The receptionist said we could park just outside the area and even pointed at the exact spot. The day after, we had gotten a parking ticket, and they refused to pay for it (even though they guaranteed parking in their ad).
Small uncomfortable single bed, air conditioning didn’t work, stuffy bathroom, dated and tired furniture, scratchy towels. Safe didn’t work, I asked twice for it to be fixed, never was. No WiFi in the fourth floor despite repeated requests the front desk personnel were not helpful. With other options around the area I would not stay there again.
ホテルの周辺にレストランがないので、ホテルで朝食のビッフェが食べられて大変ありがたかったです。またチェックアウト後も、車をホテルの駐車場に駐めさせてくださったので市内観光でとても助かりました。
