I loved how modern it was, the staff were very polite, it was very clean. The area is great, everything was walking distance, I will definitely be staying here again!

Wow. This was such a good experience I had to leave a review. The staff are very friendly, it's a great location. The room has a nice view. Oeb restaurant is just outside. There's chrome cast on the tv. Really good coffee in the room and a remote for the blinds. Will definitely be staying again!

Great new hotel!

Beautiful room and view! Loved the pizza place in the lobby and games to play. Great location with lots of amenities to walk to. Very clean and new! Recommend.

Ok - bed not the most comfortable modern room

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, good vibes. Close to university and hospital. V handy if needing to be in NW Calgary. Lots of restaurants and cafes around and good restaurant and pizza place in hotel. Highly recommend

A night away from hustle and bustle of Christmas. It was a very comfortable stay. Staff were great, room and bed were cozy. No complaints. Pay for parking underground it’s worth it, otherwise parking is on the street and you walk.

Great hotel

Was an excellent stay, walking distance to some restaurants and a quick drive to other areas in calgary.

Stayed here a few times and have always been very happy with every aspect of the facility.

Clean, modern, new. Beds were not comfortable and the shower lacked pressure

Better to have an electric kettle and tea bags in the room. Weather is cold now!

Great spot

Property was clean and quiet with a great location. Only issue was the room said two queen beds but the beds were doubles. Aside from the cramped sleeping accommodations the room and hotel were great.

Nice new modern hotel.

The staff was excellent, and made an effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The TV remote is not at all intuitive, but the location is great with Monogram coffee and Save on Foods grocery stores right across the street. Lots of fast food eating choices too. DT Calgary is only 10 - 15 minutes away. We would have appreciated slippers though.

This was our second stay and we will be back again. we love the location, close to amenities and restaurants. Well situated, clean, comfy and the staff are always friendly.

Nice neighborhood, great food options, grocery store and coffee shops all walkable. Modern clean hotel, great staff, comfortable beds, nespresso in the room with small fridge and microwave. Underground parking is $20 but is quite convenient.

The hotel is in a great location to access the University, Children’s Hospital, Market Mall, etc. Additionally, there is a great restaurant attached and nearby. Hotel itself is clean and modern.

Inside of the room is nice; Good location; Need to pay for hotel underground parking; A little loud, able to hear the traffic and people coming in and out of elevator.

It was a brand new building. The room was very clean. It has a fridge and a microwave.

Great staff. Restaurant is not open on some days but other options really close by. Tv programming really is awful unless you like the news. Stayed there multiple times and can NEVER find anything on the channels they have

My two complaints - the hotel is very dry, a humidifier would go a long way to comfort. The bed was very hard…if that’s your thing you will be happy. Otherwise I would stay again.

Just What We Needed

Great new property in astroturfed neighborhood. Liked the restaurant (Charcut) too.

Great to have such a nice hotel in the NW close to where our kids live. Very vibey area with many coffee shops, restaurants etc. Will definitely stay again!

Check in lady states parking is $3 for 24 hours… then when I proceed to pay cash, she states $21 … then Says $20….. confusing and for paying guests, You shouldn’t charge for parking….

A great area for walking and comfortable clean hotel.

For such a fancy pants new hotel, it was a strange decision to use paper for the walls, and slabs of concrete for the mattresses. For real, if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs (we heard a baby screaming from down the hallway the entire time we were in our room), and if you're a side sleeper be prepared for hip pain. Other than that the room was pretty meh for how much it cost. The only positive was the staff who were all excellent. In other news, I automatically give a one star rating to any hotel with frosted glass or any type of open concept bathroom. I'm not sure when hotels decided friends, or even couples or other family members, want to watch each other shower or go to the bathroom. Because we don't.

Fabulous all-around hotel. I hate when they charge for parking, but understand why they sometimes have to do this.

This was our second time staying at the Alt Hotel in University Heights. We were traveling with our dog so their rooms are perfectly set up for having a pet in the room. It’s also in a good location where it’s easy access shopping and restaurants. We will be sure to stay there during our next stay in Calgary.

Very good location in the University District, everything is close by and rooms are nice as well.

First of all the doors are so heavy I ended up pulling a muscle in my back. Secondly there is a prefab show with a ceramic base which looks very nice but after I ran the water and went to step in it was so slippery down I went. Banged my head and wrenched the right side of my body and my left knee. This aggravated ribs and a shoulder injury that were mending. They need to put some safeguards down on the shower floor and a handle of some kind. I mentioned to the front desk staff and they brought up a bath mat but the damage was done. They were kind enough to extend check out but I am going to need physio now.

Hotel was clean and tidy. Attached restaurant (Charcut) was also very good and reasonably priced.

Beautiful new hotel :)

The only bad thing was the light in the bathroom shines into the room from the glass shower wall. This is awful if someone has to go to the bathroom at night. Wakes the other person up!

I love staying here. Only issue i had this last trip was the fire dector started chirping at midnight. Woke the 4 if up. Call down to lobby desk and she came disabled it.

New property with still a few startup construction bugs to be worked out.

New and clean. Funky decor but not a place to stay more than a night or two. No fridge in room which makes it hard to keep drinks or leftovers cold. Would be far better to have a fridge than the Nespresso machine which made terrible coffee. Pillows were horrible. The doors are extremely heavy and bang shut which makes for a lot of noise from neighbors. Overall an ok place for a quick visit

Clean and spacious rooms. Across the street from Save On Foods and lots of dining options. Just 1km from the University of Calgary so it was nice to walk around the campus.

I love that tea is now available in the rooms. Such a small thing but it makes a big difference!
