Really lovely garden setting and mountain view from the picnic table on the lawn.. Central to all the things - easy walk to dining options, pools and any shopping needs.

Great location very close to the Thermal Pools annd nearby restaurants; and very welcoming staff. The room was spacious and well appointed with a jacuzzi tub.

Lovely accommodation but the walls were thin and not sound proof - we could easily hear the people in the unit next to ours- this was a bit annoying when they came home in the early hours and the morning

Kate and Ella are just lovely! They made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The little suite was perfect for my small family, there was 4 of us but best suited for a couple in my opinion. All of the facilities were very well looked after. We stayed to celebrate a birthday and we loved the location as it was walking distance to the pools, all of the shops (town centre), the animal farm, mini golf and much more. The rooms are right next to each other, so if you’re planning on celebrating or staying up later there are neighbours to be mindful of. On the Sat night we stayed it was very quiet and peaceful. Overall we loved our stay. Thanks Ella and Katie!

Motels very close to town easy walking distance. Nice and quiet. Pleasant owners and great communications. Unit itself was clean and tidy but shower and handbasin could do with updating.

We received a text just after 12noon to say our room was available, early check in, fantastic. Checkin very straightforward, great staff extremely friendly. Heatpump was switched on I. Room which we really appreciated as it was 8 degrees outside. Clean, modern well appointed rooms all within a few minutes walk to the hot pools. We will be back.

The accommodation is quiet, very clean and well appointed. We loved having the decking, very sunny property so lovely to relax on the deck. We used the queen bed and pull-out couch, both were very comfortable. Facilities in the room were spot on, stove top, fridge, coffee/tea, toaster etc available if you wanted to do meals. The motel is very close to hanmer shopping, pools, walking tracks, bars and restaurants etc. We had a fab stay here and will definitely book again when visiting. Thank you to the proprietors. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Great way to wind down after a long flight

My partner and I had a great couple of days @ The Alpine Garden Motel. Everything was there and it was in a great location. Staff were wonderful. Recommended without reservation.

5 adults/ teenagers stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Great pull out couch for the 5th person. A 2 block walk from the hot pools Pros - Towels provided for hot pools - Quiet units - Super Friendly staff - Comfortable units with lots of prep room in the kitchen Cons - More time couldn't be spents with the General Manager (if you know you know) - Lack of plugs.( couldn't find any in the bedroom with the 2 single beds)

A great place to stay for a girls weekend away. Walking distance to restaurants and pools. Comfy beds. Friendly hosts. Great value for money. Would have liked Netflix but guess it wouldn't have been such good value for money then as the rate would have to increase! We plan to return in 2024.

After travelling around the South Island for 2 weeks Hanmer was our 9th and final stop. Alpine Garden Motel was by far the best place we stayed. The little touches like chocolates on the bed, makeup removal wipes and extra towels for use at the hot pools make this place worth staying at. Walkable distance to the main town centre and pool. Nice and quiet. Ella who was at reception when we checked in was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here.

Handy off-street location but still close to town. Bathroom small and unit could do with an update.

Friendly staff, clean and close to town and hot pools. One small issue is the walls are a little thin, so can hear the next room.

Stayed with 4 grandchildren and the unit had plenty of room and close to the pools and town. Very friendly managers who were very helpful.

In the room we stayed in we could not use the plug on the stove as it must have been set for a certain time then just buzzed - minor I know but with people charging phones could be needed. Excellent otherwise

Beautiful place to stay. I had the end room which was super private and had a nice veiw of the garden and for the sunsets. In the afternoon the room is full of sunshine. Bed was the comphyest one i stayed in on my travels! Breakfast was really good, the gruit salad and plunger coffe 👌 staff were really friendly, smiling and welcoming. Spa bath was awesome, very relaxing and you can watch the tv from it! 10/10 would stay again!

I was really impressed with the 2 bedroom unit. Clean and well kept. Nice sized bathroom and living areas. The complimentary towels to take to the thermal pools were a nice extra.

Family of 4 with 2 children stayed in 2 bed room unit. Clean and spacious and sunny. Staff was very efficient. Only dassapointment was very slow Wifi connection. It was not possible to stream any video on Youtube or Netflix.

Some of the interior is a little dated but these units are well equipped with everything you need and more. Well priced and a great location to hot pools and shops, pubs and restaurants. The owner was super friendly and helpful.
