Terrible night
It was a really bad night, actually it was a nightmare. Not clean sheets, cockroach in the bathroom, nothing in a refrigerator(even water), noise in all night... However, all these bad things are small things compared to last one. From 11p.m, there was a blackout intermittently about 3hours. It was really terrible. No electricity for 3hours is too uncomfortable, can do nothing. I booked 2 nights but I have changed my accomodation right after first night. It's like a I threw my money in the street. Staff is kind but others are not good. I can't reccomend this hotel.
Short break
Lovely stay . We have been there many times before and have never been disappointed. The breakfast is first class
The property was very nice & accommodating to all my needs. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The bed was a little too firm for my liking though, otherwise the room met my more rhan met my nèeds. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
Property needs an overhaul on the rooms and tall or Large man accessible.
the Room itself.[1] 4 coat hangers, [2] No draws or shelving to put clothes on. the room was nothing like what I requested, I did not want a cooker pots, pans, and other Kitchen utensils in my BED Room I would not Book it again, and I would advise people of my age and disposition NOT to go to it. I am 84 years old and have had Four [4] major heart procedures, When paying the amount I paid I expected a little comfort for the price. Also after ordering a meal in the restaurant., waiting 46 minutes and then having to ask where it was.? to be told by the Saposid Restaurant/Duty Manager if I was not satisfied. ! I could always go out and dine somewhere else. [ wase the last straw ] Having stayed at this hotel some years ago I found that the standards have gone through the Floorboards, [hopeless and RUBISH ] NOW.
The Alp Pasa is very relaxing and comfortable. Its full of charm and character as you would expect from a boutique, special class hotel. The staff are wonderful and food is exceptional. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you to Emine and all the staff.
Very helpful staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.
Pool opening times. Should be over 18:00
Really old historic hotel difficult to maintain but just looking a little tired now
Amazing place, loved our stay here, it's a place we have stayed before and still to this day amazed by the architecture, the staff are brilliant and the owner Also is great owner who personally welcomes guests
Only for people who like to sleep in a disco. Very very noisy.
Amazing stay
Great location! In the great looking old town just by the hadrians gate. Few steps from the shopping,clubs,market...amazing staff and 2 swiming pools for you to enjoy.
Location
Old but gold
The variety of food could be a lot more healther. It was all carbs from the restaurant next door. For mindful person was difficult finding food
Hotel was in great spot and a very nice boutique type but the room above pool area 127 was very noisy at night would stay here again but def not in that room everything else was ist class
No WiFi
The hotel is very nice, BUT despite the fact that we should have free WiFi in the room, we didn’t. Guy on the reception said that hotel has 160 rooms and only 4 has proper internet. And he was like “other hotels ask to pay for internet”. Kinda be happy that we don’t and you can use free WiFi in the cafe. It was very unprofessional and not polite. Pool is very small and tables around, you can’t relax at poolside. I suggest you to take another hotels at this area, they won’t be so expensive but you will feel the same historical atmosphere around.
There were cockroaches in our room and very noisy at times the doors weren’t strong enough
Location and staff
Amazing
Wonderful ossis
Alp Pasa is a wonderful oasis in the heart of the old town. We stayed in suite with door access to the street and a separate sliding door to the secure courtyard and pool area. We’d actually booked a cheaper room in the main hotel but all guests were being allocated suites (presumably due to low occupancy). The pool area is great though the provision of pool towels was inconsistent from day to day. Staff were wonderfully attentive and every was well maintained and clean, except the bathroom towels which had seen better days. My only criticism was that there were no glasses provided in the room, which made no sense when the hotel had such draconian rules about not being food and drink into the room - yet a hob and fridge were provided! You get free access to a beach which is a 30min taxi ride away - unless you really want to swim in the sea I wouldn’t bother - the pool area is much nicer.
Not bad
The hotel was clean, but the bathroom was little bit worried the shower was not working well . Nothing in the bathroom social according to 4 star hotel no shampoo lotion or any stuff you will find it in 4 star hotel . No coffe or tea provided in the room. Water as hospitality is not there also I find it wired .
Not for rental cars
If you have a rental car DO NOT stay in Old Town!!! It was excruciating trying to drive in the old alley streets. Plus with this particular hotel, to park we had to pull our side view mirrors in to get to their spots. On the last day we scrapped our front bumper trying to leave. When we finally got there we had to wait as they had no record of us. They had to call Hotels.com first to confirm. Our room was ok. Older. The shower has a really high lip you have to climb into. Even after running the water it was cold. A bell boy came to check it. His finally prognosis was luke warm water and to let it run 10 mins prior to taking a shower since it comes from above. The maps of the area were 1€. To use the in room safe we were shocked to find out it was 15€. We felt like everything was extra. The buffet breakfast was very busy. We think they had other hotels eat there as well. As we were sharing the pool at another hotels location. Which was VERY hard to locate. We tried to order dessert one night to take to our room. They had us pay for it. Then told us it was all out. They suggested another dessert. We said yes. 5 mins later were told that was out as well. At check out we found out someone had put something else on our room bill that we had to dispute. Just a little too much going on for our taste.
Staff could not find booking when I arrived. I provided all the relevant Expedia booking documents but they still refused to acknowledge a booking had been made. Eventually, after a long argument, they took us to our room which had not been cleaned since the previous guests departed (bed unmade, dirty towels around the room). They then took us to a new room which had no hot water for the two days we were there. Staff told us to run the hot water tap for ten minutes before taking a shower to ensure there is hot water to the room; still no hot water after that time. Bathroom was very dirty. A very poor hotel for the money.
The location was ideal, the room was fine, getting to it was difficult as the stairs were a nightmare, up .down, across another two adjacent stairs and climb over the foot rail, opps mind the step! the meals were boring, breakfast the same with only one very slow coffee machine. the staff o reception were uninformed about their town, and lazy. it took two calls and a visit to reception to get toilet roll and our room wasn't seviced two days in a row. We were offered a replacement room not of the same standard as the one we booked. Overall this iconic hotel failed in all except the room.
Great location of hotel and quirky old style building. Accessibility for elderly was a problem as there were no lifts. There were few ground floor rooms. The dining area was very dark and not very inviting. Being told we could not bring our water from outside was a bit upsetting as British elderly tourists. The hotel room safe didn't work so we had to carry our valuables with us everyday.
Alp Pasa hotel.
Lovely hotel in the old part of the city. Everything is walking distance away. Staff always friendly and can't do enough for you. I took the all inclusive option, which was very reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety to choose from. Lunch and dinner were set menus which were adequate. Would recommend the Alp PAsa hotel to anyone. Great value for money.
We enjoyed every moment of our 3 days stay. It is in the heart of the old city and modern at the same time to remember for years to come! Will recommend to all!
Insta: Achefabroad
A very nice homely hotel with a great location in the old town. Some of the hotels here can be a little noisy due to there location next to a street or lively bar or even a mosque but the rooms here are very quite.
Boutique but not up to scratch
Snappy reception staff and building noise all week during office hours was unpleasant. It's unlike me to leave negative feedback but felt fobbed off at the hotel. Husband arrived after me (despite advising them of this) he was also met by snappy comments at reception. Luckily the evening restaurant food was excellent. Daytime not so great. Breakfast limited and lunch was watched being walked in through front door for delivery from another restaurant. Lovely setting but shame about the experience
Helpful, friendly staff. Great location
Helpful, friendly staff, and a great location. Not too far from Antalya Museum which has an outstanding collection of Greco-Roman statues and an easy drive to Perge, a fantastic archaeological site. Beware if you hire or take a car, the passageways around the hotel are seriously narrow.
Amazing
Lovely hotel. Staff amazing thank you Abdullah for looking after us so well. Such a romantic place to eat in the evening. Really special place.
It is all about the money in this hotel , they charge you for things that should be complimentary like a glass of warm water, they have daily charge for using the safe and no in room complimentary beverage. The head of wait staff was not very friendly. I like the location o the hotel but will not stay there again.
Got there staff friendly. Room was small. Door wouldn’t lock.
The hotel was very big and we stayed in a separate set of buildings, so it doesn't feel very intimate. The room was quite small but smart and clean
1 night
Great location but medium-low hotel standards
Average hotel in the middle of old town
Average boutique hotel in the middle of old town, well located. The staff are not very friendly and you do not get welcome drinks upon arrival. The breakfast is very good though! The bed and room were average in terms of comfort.
Awful
Worst hotel that i have ever stayed. Bath was dirty, hairs in the tub. No soap. Refrigerator was not working. Room was very noisy too hard to sleep. The receptionist was not professional. Breakfast is below average. It was really a failure to stay and a great dissappointment for such an old touristic hotel.
Nice hotel with pool close to beach
It was a nice romantic place with great food, staff, pool, and close to the beach. Great place in Antalya!
Great Location, Full of Character and Good Value.
Beautiful old building full of character, nicely modernised and decorated with turkish ornaments. Excellent location in the old town, Kalaici, walking distance to shops, cafes and to marina. Bed and pillows were comfy. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. They were happy to change the room as we didn't like the one allocated to us (small and unpleasant colour). Wifi is free but did not reach our room, had to go to courtyard/garden to connect. Building has lots of uneven/steep stairs so people with limited mobility might find it difficult. Toiletteres and tea/ coffee supply in the room were not topped up and we had to ask for more soap and coffee which were provided. Food variety at breakfast was great but the hot food was rather cold. Coffee machine was excellent. Very nice seating around the swimming pool.
Very ordinary hotel- Don't be fooled by their ads
Wi-Fi was poor Had to call for room service everytime Breakfast was mediocre Room pics while booking were different than room provided Deluxe double room was pretty ordinary
Location is centre of old town and very nice
We stayed 1 night and we were glad hotel and staff. Centrum, important places is near hotel. Hotel room is not good but comfortable.
This a nice hotel. You can live history in it.
Staff is very nice. Call before reserve it. You can find answers for your questions about anything important.
On of the best boutique hotels I have stayed
It is a boutique hotel. The most important thing in a boutique hotel is that they keep always the originality and give a modern comfort. Like flat screen TV, wifi etc. It should not be old fashioned but a boutique hotel. They succeed in Hotel Alp Pasa to realize this. They renovated the hotel but you can see from every corner that kept the originality of the hotel. You cannot believe but there is a small museum in the hotel. It is a good example how to be a historical boutique hotel with good quality, service, price and comfort. The rooms are very well decorated. I am not sure if all rooms have a balcony but ours was with a balcony. The restaurant is connect to the garden where you can enjoy your breakfast. There is also an interesting a la carte restaurant. You can have your dinner or lunch here. The location is the biggest advantage of the hotel. It is situated in the old city close to everywhere. Everything is on walking distance. if you like a hotel in a historical place you have to do it.
Nice boutique hotel
The hotel is located in the old city. The place is perfect to spend your holiday. It is close to the everywhere. The aquarium, ancient theater etc. The street of the hotel is very famous. You can find a lot of cafes and restaurants in the same this street. The rooms are recently renovated I guess, coz a room cannot be kept clean like that much. They are very clean and all is new. The cleaning in the hotel is very good. They clean every the rooms. The garden and the pool is nice to spend your day. In the night you can visit a lot of bars or cafes clos to the hotel in the old city. The best thing in the hotel is the staff. They ara very professional and helpful.
Nice hotel in old town
My wife and I plus another couple stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Best part is the hotel is very conveniently located close to several attractions. The staff is accommodating and tries its best. The restaurants are nice, especially the newly opened Gazzetta, which is highly recommended.
Excellent Hotel & Location
Most of the time you like the hotel but not the location. Or the other way around. But this hotel has a perfect service and location. I haven't seen before enthusiastic staff like these before. They are making a great job. The location of the hotel is unique. It is situated in the middle of the old town. Plenty of bar, restaurants, cafes etc. Further there are a lot of shops in the old town. The famous boulevard is also very close to the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is amazing. The garden is fantastic. The building is very old but renovated and it has a pittoresque character. The room was at the back side of the hotel. We have read some reviews and comments that the some rooms are noisy but we did not notice this. Perhaps there are some other rooms with this problem. We got offered free of charge a bottle of wine in our room. The food is excellent. We have booked bed & breakfast. The breakfast was far above our expectation. We are very satisfied about this fantastic boutique hotel. Thanks to everyone for the nice service in the hotel.
charming building, charming location
The building is a very interesting old building, sympathetically converted. The staff are a major asset: they are warm, friendly, and highly professional. Food is universally good. Location is excellent. I would go again.
Attractive Old Town Hotel
Ideally situated in the historic Old Town of Antalya with evidence of archeological antiquities within the hotel complex. A beautiful dining area and very personable and helpful, polite staff. I was welcomed warmly by Reception Staff; Mr Emre Karakus was particularly helpful but all staff made an effort to treat guests well.
On arrival at 11pm in the evening, and just wanting to go to bed after a long days traveling. We were left waiting at the reception for 50 minutes before being shown to our room, not what you would expect!! The waiting staff and cleaner were very polite and carried out their duties very well, especially the waiter called Abrieham, who was excellent.
Wonderful but noisy location, very difficult to find, no wifi in rooms.
The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfectly situated in old town. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; however, they tend to charge for the most common complementary items, e.g. a local map, a key to your room-safe and water. Regardless, of such uncommon formalities, this is the place to stay.
A series of unfortunate events but amazing staff
I stayed there for three nights. the first night, my room's AC, TV and wifi did not work and the room seemed smaller than what I had booked on the net. I spoke to the front desk and they moved me to another room right away. The second night, in the second room, the room had a bad smell (sewage like) and the AC did not work. I could not get any sleep because it was extremely hot and stuffy. When I tried to call the front desk, I discovered that the phone was not working either. Finally, at 5 am, I walked over to the front desk and the receptionist took me to a make-shift (very clean) room to save the situation until the morning. On the third day, they moved me to a suit where everything was working. I would've given the hotel a very low rating based on these unfortunate incidents but the WHOLE staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, from the front desk, the manager, the restaurant staff to the cleaning staff. Very few speak English but they will always try to help you or bring someone who speaks English to cater to your request. That friendliness, professionalism, and eagerness to serve/help really goes a long way in satisfying a guest. In addition, the location of the hotel is ideal. the food is average and over-priced and wifi only works at the reception area.
Amazing
it was AMAZING.. Unique style
Excellent hotel, a great experience.
Alp pasa was a great hotel to stay in for the week, it offered true traditional surroundings and rooms with a great service and care of the customers, would recommended this place to anyone- it provided great hospitality and the food was also very good
Gorgeous Building and Surroundings
Wow what a charming area. Buildings inside 'Kaleici - Old Town' are breathtakingly stunning and the narrow pedestrian streets are fabulous. A few nights stay would be perfect. After which the noise within, e.g terrible toilet waste system (other rooms can be heard-terribly disturbing), wooden furniture on stone floor tiling (some guests checkout before 7 a.m) and the lack of sun loungers (approx 15 beds to 200 + guests) makes swimming facilities basically unusable. Best visited before weather temperatures sore. Waiters are fantastic and cheerful, especially p.m - evening
Slightly disappointing
Hotels.com wouldn't accept my full review, so unfortunately I have had to shorten it. We experienced two issues with our stay at Alp Pasa. First, the Wi-Fi went down for approximately a day. Second, our shower/tub broke, resulting in our switching rooms. The Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant/pool area (there is only one restaurant, not 5). To stay connected with our family and work, we used the Wi-Fi when it was available. We waited for hours for the Internet to come back on (when we were told it would be minutes). Our shower broke, flooding our bathroom. The hotel staff was able to switch us to a slightly bigger room, which was nice (but necessary). The staff is eager to help with everything and extremely polite, but sometimes they make promises they can't keep (like the Internet). The breakfast buffet was pretty good, and the location was excellent. The Wi-Fi and the problem with our room unfortunately made our stay at Alp Pasa somewhat disappointing. It's unlikely you'll experience the same thing, and overall it was a nice place in a great location in Old Town.
Quaint hotel with lovely staff
Very nice hotel in the old town in Antalya. Staff were very accommodating, polite and friendly. Room was fairly basic but we paid a good price and think we got good value for money. There are more luxurious rooms available. The breakfast was lovely and the a la carte menu was delicious.
Somewhat disappointing
Some discrepancies between what is on Hotels.com and reality: 1. The hotel spans 4 floors, not 3. 2. There are not 5 restaurants – really just 1. 3. Lara beach is 35-40 minutes away. 4. There is no business center. Problems we experienced on our trip: 1. WiFi is in public areas only. This is on Hotels.com, however emails only say "WiFi", not "Public areas only." The WiFi went down for a full day, and we were told “5-10 minutes” and “30 minutes” when in reality it was hours. We wasted time waiting for it to be fixed. 2. We wanted to use the jetted tub, but the drain plug was missing. We called down to the front desk and a nice man came to our room with one. The jets were very dirty, so I needed to empty the dirty water and refill the tub (shouldn’t be necessary if the tubs were cleaned properly). When we pulled the plug, water started flowing out into the bathroom from under the tub. Dirt and debris came out from under the tub with the water, including a small shard of glass that I stepped on. Thankfully my wife was able to tweeze it out of my foot. We were told that it wouldn't be fixed until after breakfast the next day. We switched to a slightly bigger room, which was a plus. The breakfast buffet was decent, the staff is extremely kind and always quick to help, and the location in Old Town is really great. If the tub worked, and the WiFi didn't fail, the review would have been much stronger (obviously).
alp pasa very good place to stay
very good hotel nice staff plenty of history finished to a very good standard not a very good beach small and down very steep steps not good for old or infirm outside old town crazy city enjoyed the vacation very much
Overall Stay
First time in Turkey and we were both very impressed with the City/Country as a whole. We stayed in the Old Town part of Antalya. Very clean and tidy. Beach was within 10 minute walk. Restaurants within a five minute walk from the Hotel were all excellent and great value for money. Overall, a great holiday. Very relaxing and would strongly recommend people visit this area ands this hotel
Loved our stay
Excellent customer service and very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Would stay here again and will recommend to family & friends.
Charming, historic hotel
If you're visiting Antalya for the history and scenic charm, this is the sort of hotel you want, rather than the big, expensive beach resorts. It's in the old city, in walking distance of just about everything, and it's a lovely old building that has been exquisitely preserved and decorated. The hotel staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. My one minor complaint was that our room was a little chilly, but in February that can't be helped.
Great location in old city
Great location in the ancient part of Antalya. Near historic Turkish baths, great restaurants and the old harbor. Hotel has nice open air atrium with small pool. Great ambience and attentive staff.
Lacking
Arrived at the hotel 5:30pm - good light. Asked whether we had two single beds - no - that was not on the request form. The receptionist was not helpful. (Although at the time of booking I telephoned Expedia to say we wanted single beds. I was told by Expedia that this was already dealt with.) Taken to room (Chopin) very dark inside, the blinds were closed - for a reason - where the blinds were the whole side of that area was concrete - no light coming in the room. We asked to be moved immediately to another room. The stairway very steep. We were given another which was much better. The hotel's Hammam had a disgusting stench and we were asked to wait 15 minutes so this could be cleaned out before using the facility. The holiday was not all bad but initially it would be nice to get off to a good start! So Expedia you take some of the blame.
Great location in the beautiful Kaleici
We booked a deluxe room with jacuzzi bath but when we were taken to our room it was small and certainly not a deluxe and only a shower. We returned to the reception and they said they didn't have the room we booked available. Personally, I would have like to have been told that before being dragged off around the streets at 11pm. (We had booked a late check in) I am pleased to say they offered us a two bedroom apartment which was comfortable although only a shower. We were offered to stay in this room for the four nights, which we excepted rather than move the following day to the room we booked. The only other comment would be that the hotel does promote itself as being a boutique with a beautiful pool courtyard area. Unfortunately, they actually have rooms in alternative buildings scattered around the streets, which means meal times and trying to get a sunbed or any room around the pool is impossible. We only had the buffet breakfast on the first morning as it was too crowded and very little choice.
Dodgy start but got much better
When we arrived we were told our rooms weren't available and were taken to the apartment down the road. It only had one bathroom so it wasn't appropriate especially since we had booked deluxe rooms with jacuzzi baths. So we dug our heels in and ... as if by magic, the exact rooms we booked suddenly were available after all. The whole episode put a bad taste in my mouth - which is a real shame as everything else about the hotel and staff was absolutely perfect. I would still highly recommend - just beware of any attempt to bump your room ;-)
NOT a memorable place to stay
Given a new but unfinished room in the 'Emperor' annex on the first night, second night no hot water, offered a free visit to the Turkish Bath, or a 2 hour wait for hot water...! Then moved to a (small drak) 'Pasa' Room in the main building. No apology from the Manager for the inconvenience. Breakfast buffet is chaotic, and the waiters have little or no training. The hotel seems to have been expanded by the addition of rooms in annexes, and cannot cope with the increased number of guests..!!
Absolutely would not recommend this hotel
We had to change our rooms several times as it wasn't big enough. The rooms were dirty yet cleaners were in our room everyday! The staffs attitude wasn't pleasant. They are also a rip off! Charge a bottle of water for 4.25 when you can get for 0.50 they even tried to over-charge us when checking out! Would not recommend this place to anyone!
Don't go if you want to lie by the pool at all.
The hotel wasn't bad for the price but there were a few gripes. When we arrived at 10pm our room wasn't ready. They did buy us a drink but this seemed a little strange. When we did get to go to the room the air conditioning wasn't working, when we said that it wasn't ok to wait until the next day for them to fix it they did. However, the air conditioning wasn't amazing and it squeaked so although it took the edge off the heat at night it was still quite hot. The hotel was pretty outside and the breakfast had a lot of choice. My main issue with the hotel was the limited number of sun loungers. There were 12 sun loungers at the hotel. When we booked we were aware that the pool was quite small but had no ideas it would be so difficult to lie by the pool. The shortage of loungers (despite the fact there was plenty of space to put them) meant there were a couple of arguments about people leaving their stuff on them and other people taking them. And you were often left without one to sit on or waiting an hour in the hope someone would move on and you could pounce!
Surprised Surprised
well, this is a month summer break trip for me. overall I was happy with hotel service. Alp Pasa is the one Make a remarkable journey. first of all I sent e-mail to asking for Car pick up service but no reply at all, so I called them up to double check,, but I got told that you can take a taxi from the airport. which I was abit upset of the service already! and when I check-in again they told me the hotel is fully book by the reception and ask us if we can stay in another location which is below to them as well, since I called them the day before and nobody told us it was fully book, so I prefer to stay at the same hotel. 10 mins later they called Hotel manager - which explained to us another story, because of our Deluex room Jettub got some problem and they wont be able to fixed it (full of lies.......) only solution is rather I change hotel or move to standard room with smaller bed. Well, we end up stay in a smaller room and I find out the next following day I saw the hotel manager giving same kind of speech to other new comer. Which I really find this hotel management is really bad. Photo and Rate is good in Hotels.com but I highly recommend double or triple consider this hotel. Swimming pool in the pic look amazing but when you arrived it look like a baby swimming pool size, which you will never be able to use it. and I wont say too much, I think the check in service is already something you dont really want it to happened when you pay something and reality is not.
Good location for ambience,bars& restaurants.
Hotel beautifully restored, breakfast good. Lots of bars & restaurants in strolling distance. Pool small but other options available if prepared to walk to nearby park or marina for sunbeds and swimming in the sea off cliffs. Staff let the hotel down had an attitude that most things were an effort..you felt like you were putting them out. Would only recommend for location not for service.
A nice hotel in a good location.
We spent a week at the Alp Pasa Hotel in May and were impressed by how clean and well kept it was. There is a small pool at the entrance to the hotel but we didn't use it as we prefer to explore during holidays. The room we stayed in was a little on the small side but was spotlessly clean, with air conditioning and was quiet at all times of the day. This hotel offered extremely good value for money and we would definitely stay there again.
Paid for their mistake!
A mistake was made by the front desk manager upon check in regarding breakfast and dinner included in package. The dining card had both breakfast and dinner checked off as included. On the last night I was informed that was a mistake and would be charged for the dinner buffets for each night. The buffet food was mediocre, and would have much preferred to dine in area restaurants. I wondered if this "mistake" was made regularly to add income. I felt wronged and wondered why this happened at my own expense.
A 'Special Room' that wasn't quite up to Scratch
This was a return visit to the Alp Pasha in the old city of Antalya. This lovely property is located in the heart of the old city and one of those properties that tourists drool over as the walk past the entrance. Our on-line price was considerably lower than posted prices. On this visit, we were housed in the Annex located across the street from the main property. Although a beautiful room, it had not been cleaned properly and needed some The shower. Otherwise a great location!!
Overpriced, complacent service, never again
An seemingly endless wait to check-in which was dealt with obsequiousness rather than apology or efficiency. Room ok but we paid a discount price - do not pay the advertised rates; the rooms (and everything) else are just not worth it). Incredibly noisy, disinterested service, poor breakfast buffet. This place trades on its location, beautiful architecture and the gullibility and good-will of its customers. Avoid at all costs.
Great location and food
The hotel location is excellent and there are many cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The food is amazing, we recommend to include breakfast and dinner when you book. The room is small but comfortable. Overall very good hotel.
Good hotel.
Something good: cleanliness, good attitude of the staff, excellent location. Something not good: not enough information at the reception about available tours in the city and surroundings.
Used to be a good place to stay
This trip (New Year's week of 2014) was our 3rd stay at the hotel. The owner let the place go down the tubes! It was clear right from the start that stuff was significantly reduced to properly manage the guest load. The building desperately needs upkeep/repair. Waiting for 5-10 min for hot water to come down the tubes is simply not acceptable when I am paying >100$/night. The breakfast had taken a huge step back. The variety of items was reduced by >50%. Stale bread was a usual occurance. The fruit provided was the 'defectives'. The fruit juice was sugary water with no trace of fruit. The personnel did their best to serve us but what it was a hopeless situation. The new year's party was a disaster - over blown sale job. The food was terrible, the service did not exist and menu items was not enough for the guests. We left after only 10 min. The manager specifically did not show any initiative to address the shortcomings even those the news was conveyed to him. He actually turned his back to us and walked away when we tried to talk to him. Luckily (at least that was what we though in the beginning), we saw the owner and felt that we could address the issues to him to make sure that the place remains relevant - but after seeing his attitude at the hotel, we realized that the situation was hopeless. I can go on with additional examples/incidents, but let me finish by saying that: Alp Pasha gave us good memories for 2 stays but the third one was unbearable.
Lovely old Ottoman House in the quiet old city.
A charming building, tastefully converted into a comfortable hotel. The staff at the reception and the waiters are efficient and friendly. The food was beautifully presented with great variety and the 'self service' meant that you could always be sure of a satisfying meal. The rooms are spacious and fitted out to a very high standard.
Beautiful buildings, but the service lets it down.
We have stayed here before and wanted to compare it again to another hotel we use in Antalya. We were very disappointed by the service, particularly in reception, where the person on duty was too busy counting coins to acknowledge us or help us check out, and then later, after a colleague had done it, questioned whether we had actually handed in our room key. She said they were very busy, but good service does not only happen when you are not busy. The breakfast feels as if it is set up for groups, not personal use. They have a lovely collection of Ottoman buildings that have been sensitively restored, but need to improve the service to compete with other similar hotels that manage both very well.
Not what I expected
We got a large 2 bed apartment....I think this was an apartment they use when overbooked.... They didn't seem to have the reservation when we arrived and took around an hour to get checked in, After getting the manager etc involved! The apartment was in a separate building from the main hotel and just didn't seem like it was suppose to be for letting, When we asked if we could stay in another night they tried to double the rate we got in Expedia,
Beautiful building but could get better value
We enjoyed our stay at Alp Pasa - it's a beautiful hotel with an ambient courtyard and a good buffet breakfast. However it's quite pricey for the rooms (local pensions are much better value) so we wouldn't stay there again.
Nice hotel, but stingy on shower gel
Nice hotel, we had a nice stay but with few disappointments....No Internet in the room althought it's specified in description , hardly any shower gell top up and bit disappointing bathroom. Other than tha all great ! Lovely stuff and delicious breakfast I would recommend it but without great expectations ....
Alp Pasa
This was the only boutique hotel that we stayed in during our recent trip to Turkey (all the others were family run) and while we missed the "family touch", the staff were helpful, the rooms gorgeous and the breakfasts delicious. It is also ideally located for exploring the Old City, the marina and beaches.
For adults who enjoy simple style
A real oasis in the middle of historic Antalya, with shady courtyards in the style of riads plus lazy poolside sunning. Excellent service, always delivered with a smile and a variety of languages, all spoken perfectly fluently.
They gave us a suite room from outside of the hotel. It was not related with the picture and the AC was not working enough for every room. There was a kitchen at the suite but we can not use it because of the smell coming from the kitchen. Bed sheets and towels was very clean . Breakfast was regular for Turkey not extraordinary..
very nice spot
watch out for Ibrahim--that dude'll talk you into bottles over glasses every time.
No internet in the room? Really?
My husband and I stayed at the Alp Pasa Hotel on our honeymoon 4 years ago. Then we had a fantastic room decorated in Ottoman style in the main hotel area. This time, we were in there annex location in a nearby building. The room was spacious and comfortable, but very modern. I would opt for the more historic rooms if you can. My biggest complaint is our room didn't get internet. We could only use the internet in the dining area around the pool. For such a luxury hotel, this was disappointing. The food in the buffet was fair, but again it was better the last time we were there. Overall, fairly satisfied, but for a luxury hotel there are some things they could do better.
Great location and breakfast
Great location and lovely breakfast. Very large and nicely decorated rooms.
Heart of Antalya
Great place to stay for few night for not much money ;)
Comfortable but not wired!
Had a wonderful experience at the Alp Pasa Hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. There were ongoing problems with the wi-fi - it was not available in the rooms and was plagued with log-pn difficulties.
NOT a 4 STAR Hotel
Well, hotel looks nice only from outside and pool area - that's all. My room ''RIYA'' at night was very dark, very uncomfortable beds - felt like slept on wood or something hard. Bathroom was Ok. Room needs remodelling very bad . On arrival I got plate of fruits but it would be better if there were fresh. If you decide to make a booking with Hotels.com please be careful with options you getting. I booked room with breakfast and when I arrived I was informed that I have room only. - another disappointment !!
Could be better!
The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and restaurant however the waiters were pushy and it just made things uncomfortable. We felt guilty for not ordering alcohol and they seemed annoyed by it, it made dinners awkward. For breakfast they went around with a tray of juice and offered it to the guests, they don't tell you it costs - they just present you with a bill about 2 seconds later. Our room had a permanent leaking bathroom floor and was noisy. You could hear chairs being dragged constantly. Also there was only one bath robe for the first night. Some kid always wants to come in and check the mini bar regardless of if you are there and in the middle of something. Most of the buffet food was cold and the fruit and veggies unwashed. It could be great but these little things need to be improved.
Not nice than expectation.
In general, Ok, but room is not clean, Staffs are not nice. Porter & Car pick up guy is terrible, always count Tip, never say Thanks.
Excellent, if you want to be close to cool areas
My room was fairly small, other than that I liked the stay. It is right at the heart of the old town and action.
Great hotel for couples
Rooms have bad lightning - too little light in the room and bathroom.
Good quality hotel, great location
Alp Pasa is a very good looking hotel, with lovely outdoor area for dining around a swimming pool. We were allocated a really nice room which I was very happy with - the cleaners were very efficient each day in giving the room a spruce up! Overall I thought the price I paid for the room and half board was excellent value given the quality of the hotel and the prime location in the lovely Old Town - it is by far in the best area of Antalya (in the historic and picturesque Old Town, close to the waterfront and easy to get to the main beach). Despite normally a 2pm check in time, we were given our room at 11.30 as we had taken an overnight bus from Cappadocia which meant we were already at the hotel by 8.00am - this was much appreciated as it gave us time to unwind and also spend half a day at the beach! The only negative thing I would say is that drinks prices are a bit on the expensive side but because the rest is such good value, it still works out a good deal! Food was variable but lots of choice and once again, given the overall price, great value.
Ideal for couples to chill
A refurbished Ottoman mansion situated in the heart of Antalya's old town. The hotel itself provided excellent food and is also surrounded by many fine restaurants and shops - all within easy walking distance. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Our Expedia 'special' room was somewhat basic but are great value for money. The beds were a little firm for my taste but that was probably my only complaint. The surrounding nightlife is lively but the room and air-conditioning were quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel swiming pool is tiny but sea swimming is available in many nearby locations. The street level terrace is an ideal place to watch the world go by - a very relaxing stay for small groups and couples.
Charming traditional style Hotel
The Alp Pasa is a "Boutique" style hotel converted from traditional Ottoman Mansions, and is a delightful place to stay in. The staff were warm, friendly and efficient and the Hotel facilities were more than adequate. However , we found that the Dining area , situtated as it is around the swimming pool in the main Courtyard , somewhat crowded in the evening with too many tables too close together - a situation that did not enhance the dining experience. As it is , my wife and I tend to dine out at local restaurants when on holiday and as we dined there only once , it did not detract from our stay. Furthermore, we would certainly consider staying at the Alp Pasa again.

Excellent choice for old town wandering.
Lovely hotel with delicious breakfasts. A really lovely experience in the interesting city of Antalya. Airport is about half an hour away so convenient location right in the centre of the old town. I loved the archaeological artefacts all round the grounds. Very relaxing and tranquil.
