Excellent and helpful staff. Small, spartan, but clean, room.
Perfect for our needs for our vacation. Very close to old town and plenty of restaurants. Some restaurants walkable--weather dependent. Our bartender Chris was a gem and provided his own curated list of places to see, where to eat, and breweires. It was an invaluable resource! Food for purchase options were convenient for breakfast. Would love to stay here again
Love the location
Nice hotel downtown, close to everything
Easy in and out. Clean and modern.
Perfect one night stay in Portland. Room was stylish, spacious and clean. Street parking is fairy easy to find depending on your arrival time. Conveniently located, within walking distance to dining and shops. Would definitely stay again!
Great get away with my son
The check in process was quite pleasant and quick. I was able to check in earlier than 4, which was much appreciated. The staff helped with parking, as I was unaware that it was valet parking. $40 is a bit high, but I'm also not used to paying for parking or valet. Room was clean for the most part.
Stylish hotel with super friendly staff. One of our most favorite places to stay when bisiting the Old Port
Quiet end of busy tourist street. Not very convenient for on street parking - be prepared to pay $40 for valet.
Beautiful
Clean facilities, walls are a bit thin but great location and proximity to the sights of Portland
all good
The lobby space was comfortable and inviting.
Lovely room and view. You can hear a lot from the hallways and neighbors but it was not a big deal at all!
*
The room and lobby were great. Hotel bar tender was great! They lock the doors at night and you have to walk all the way around the building. It was a blizzard and VERY inconvenient.
Rooms were nice and clean very comfortable. Lobby area was a fun atmosphere even though we didn't make use of it. We inquired about a possible late checkout only to find out they charged my card half of one night stay. My bad for not asking but not mentioned either by front desk
The staff is courteous and very helpful. The hotel is well located, the Old Port area restaurants, shopping & other amenities area just a short stroll away.
I’ll be back!
Loved the hot chocolate bar and the friendly vibe in the lobby. Also loved the location as it’s within walkable distance to do much. Parking not included but plenty of overnight spots around the area.
The Aloft hotels in Portland, Maine is a very modern stay. This residence has a lot of fun designs in it's living space, as well as unique amenities like an Xbox game room and extensive gym. I was a little surprised by the lack of a free breakfast (only coffee is on the house) and valet parking being the only option outside of street parking. Otherwise, it was a fine stay in a modern room.
Nice place
Comfortable if you can handle noise
Very poor soundproofing in spite of this being a newer hotel. You hear every toilet flush in adjacent rooms, every hallway sound, and every street sound if your room is facing Commercial Street. But if you don't mind the noise, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, especially for the price.
Pros: location is great. Bartender in the lounge is fantastic. Check in and out was relatively quick. Cons: “water view” rooms are noisy due to busy street. Rooms in general are noisy (can hear toilet flushing two/three rooms down). Vallet parking only.
Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Very nice stay.
One night stay
Check in was fast and friendly Room was cool modern set up Electric shades were a little quirky. Room was quiet 👍👍
Hotel is extremely noisy. It is dog friendly and barking dogs kept us up all night. Walls are extremely thin. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. Aside from, staff was nice and the location is great
Everything about this place is really good. Including really pretty location. Only negative is the paper thin walls you can hear each other pee and poop lol
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean just what I needed. We’ll stay again.
Great location! Great staff!
Great! Thanks
It is ok. Staff was friendly. Too hip with all the QR codes and the cartoonish decor. I am likely not the right demographic. The bed was comfortable. You can clearly hear hallway and outside noise.
The electric window shades DID NOT work even though we requested assistance. This left us exposed to the street from floor to ceiling windows. I received a $40 valet refund but that was not expedient to the issue.
Had a nice two day stay at this hotel. From the parking attendant to the bar tender, everyone was so friendly and kind. I would stay here again.
Great however it was very noisy in the rooms at night from activity in the hallway and parking was $40!
Friendly staff. Clean rooms
Location was great! All the staff were very friendly! Will stay again!
Was disappointed with the food service/lack thereof.
The room was very large; the bathroom was huge and outside the bathroom was the sink area. Across from the bathroom area was a settee and a little table. There was a large tv across from the two big, comfortable beds. The lobby had a nice bar area, with a pool table and games.
Liked the modern interior design of the room.
Overall a very good experience. Give Chris the bartender all the props he deserves…he was amazing!
Great place to stay with teens. The lobby game and X-box lounge made for several competitive evenings!
Great location
Comfortable able and quiet. Great location at the waterfront. Very dog friendly.
Great place to stay in downtown Portland. Close to shopping and restaurants.
Gem in a great town.
Chris the bartender was a highlight. The entire staff was great - the front desk was friendly and helpful. The valets were friendly and cool. Chris was full of tips on local spots so basically a wealth of knowledge. I love Portland and now I love this hotel in Portland.
Nice location.
A
Great Portland location
Staff so friendly! Hotel was alittle noisy but otherwise great location and very comfortable bed!
Portland Bounce Dive
The staff was amazing!! Can’t say enough about the really great vibes there. It is a pet friendly hotel and I did catch some “accident” smells but they were taken care of promptly. My only real dislike is that we were put into a disabled access room and therefore the bathroom had no door!! There was a separate toilet room with a door but not one for the shower area and only two towels supplied for two people for a 3 night stay. Overall excellent stay though!!!!
The hotel itself was great but the room was lacking some soft materials. It was extremely loud and echoed everything. The toilet was not private. Some sound buffering would have made this a five star review.
I like room
The property was overall nice. I enjoyed my stay. The bar had nice drinks and food
Even though, I got a room with a nice view, still it didn’t feel like it’s worth it for the price we paid. Location is great but everything else was just okay. If we had known that the breakfast was to go kind of breakfast, we would not have paid more for it. Also additional $40 valet parking made the price even less reasonable. The layout of the room was strange, shower out open in the living space? We won’t be staying here again.
It was great other than blinds in the room didn’t work great and toilet keep breaking.
The Staff was very helpful and had great recommendations. The Hotel was very clean as well.
Front desk should know parking situation and not just say valet. Very deceiving and greedy. $40 for valet is ridiculous in Portland, ME. Free parking across the street but not shared by hotel staff. Wall behind front desk is very visually unappealing. Minimalistic room design is not great for families. Hipster hotel vibe not jiving for families
The bartender, kayla, provided us with the best service.
excellent service😁
Great location to shops, food, drinks and entertainment.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Especially the valet.
“Value” hotel for the price of a luxury hotel
The hotel and rooms themselves are fine. They were clean but very minimal in their design. The rooms felt a bit like IKEA dorm rooms. We could hear everything going on in the streets, hallway, and neighboring rooms. I’d consider this like a “value” hotel but the problem is it’s priced the same as nicer hotels in Portland with more comforts and higher quality. The low rating reflects the value for what you get. Otherwise it was clean with no major issues.
Love the lobby bar and rooms and
Great location for exploring Portland! Super walkable. Very clean. Great experience!
Clean, quirky hotel in downtown strip, close to shopping and dining.
Hotel was awesome and the harbor view was excellent. Only issue was the steep valet parking cost and the fact that they dont have any self parking options. The fitness center was also under repair but other than that great hotel.
Very clean
Great
Clean, comfortable, staff was excellent!! Everyone was so attentive, kind and helpful
Staff is Rude
The hotel was clean and crisp. The shops, restaurants and piers were a short walk away.
The property is engaged in false advertising. The property description obscures the fact that there is no restaurant and no proper breakfast on the premises. Having coffee only during the early morning hours instead of the entire day, like many other hotels, is a big minus. Definitely not recommended!
Staff was amazing and super friendly. Perfect location and super walkable to all the best spots
This is a beautiful hotel. Valet parking was very easy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My only complaints are that they don’t provide enough shower towels and voices in the hallway were heard very clearly in our room. All in all, its a nice place to stay.
Homeless people followed our family and yelling slurs. There was a person in lobby who did not seem like a guest that picked a fight with my family about Trump. The property itself was pricy but great. Sadly Portland seems to be struggling with drug addiction and homelessness.
It was a new hotel, definitely a very nice place to stay for a few nights.
Clean, comfortable beds and pillows
Excellent! Best spot to stay while visiting Portland Old Port area. Thanks!!
Front desk staff was super helpful. Great service. Negative is the price of valet parking. $40 extremely pricey for a small town like Portland, ME.
Location
Fantastic place to stay located to nearly everything. Bar is pricey but amazing service if you do go.
The Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Entering the Lobby was very colorful n inviting. It was also very clean. Seems like a new Hotel. The room was so modern, really loved it. Will definitely go this hotel again.
The hotel was mediocre. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member but had to wait nevertheless for early check in. Neither parking nor breakfast was included. Room was small. There was no restaurant on site and although the website noted snack options when we went to order we were told there was no chef on site. So we ordered from Door Dash. Lots of homeless people in the area using the hotel’s bathroom facilities.
It was ok - for a family vacation it was missing the things we appreciated at other locations and was really just more fancy than practical for us
We wanted a nice stay in historic port area of Portland. No choice on parking but valet with charge as high as NYC. Room looked over parking lot and area cars pull out of garage. Very disappointing in ambience. The actual room was fine. The first desk person was rude to our party (2 of us checking in) but mine was friendly and helpful. Ok stay but not great b
Great place to stay with plenty to do nearby.
Awesome property…convenient to shops and restaurants!
The property is exceptionally clean.
This is a rather spartan hotel with modern design and furnishings. We had a handicapped room which we did not request, but if this is something you need, it was very functional.
Easy car rental pick up and navigation through airport
.
Everything worked, nice Place. A bit expensive.
We had a room with 2 queen beds, and although the room was spotless and very nice, it was quite small - with barely enough space to walk between the bed and very tiny sitting space. Other problem was that there was no privacy between the shower/sink area and the rest of the room - no door and even a full-length mirror perfect placed to put it in full view of the rest of the room. An inconvenience because I was travelling with my two sons.
I recently stayed at Aloft Portland, Maine, and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern and stylish, with a vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in. The staff was friendly and helpful My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring I had a great night's sleep each night. The hotel's location is also a big plus – it's conveniently situated near many local attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it easy walkable to explore Portland. However, my only complaint is that during my stay there was an issue with humidity in the building. When entering the lobby, there were many air equipment units, and it was quite noisy. Thankfully, this did not reach the rooms, and my stay remained comfortable and undisturbed. Overall, I highly recommend Aloft Portland, Maine, for anyone visiting the area. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location made my stay truly enjoyable. I look forward to returning in the future.
We were checking in at 5 pm after a 10 hour day of driving and our room was not ready. We went out to dinner without a refresher. During our 2 night stay we had 2 roaches in our room.
Very comfortable and clean with spacious rooms in a great location.
All of staff was great - Chris was really cool in the bar ! Thanks
The Hotel was located right along the old wharf area of Portland. Plenty of shopping and eating opportunities. Hotel was very well kept and maintained. Having to pay for parking on top of an already expensive room was not the greatest. Other than that, top notch place
Great stay in Portland
Great location. The room was spacious, clean, and very bright. All the staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The walls were very thin and we could hear everything in the hallways. That was our only complaint. Bartender was amazing
