During my stay at this hotel, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted the experience. The most concerning aspect was the lack of proper cleanliness. Common areas appeared neglected, and the room itself showed signs of insufficient upkeep, with dust, stains, and general disrepair noticeable upon arrival. Additionally, the value for the price paid did not align with the quality of service and amenities provided. The rates suggest a higher standard, but the experience fell short of expectations. Attention to detail and improved maintenance are necessary to justify the current pricing structure. While the location may offer convenience, I would recommend exploring other accommodations until the hotel addresses these fundamental concerns.
Location
I really like the little touches of this hotel that makes someone’s stay more enjoyable and not short changed. COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE AND WATER ARE SO ESSENTIAL AND THEY PROVIDED IT UNLIKE MOST NYC HOTELS WITH THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE RESORT FEES! I say, Aloft should continue on like this and they will succeed!
The hotel was in a great area surrounded by food, subway and necessities. The hotel staff was nice and helpful and the hotel room itself was clean and spacious.
Very modern and clean
Quiet and clean. Super nice staff
Great location in LIC. Close to all transportation and one stop away from Manhattan. Lots of construction in the area so be prepared for the noise. Otherwise, great dining options and very walkable.
The Room was a Shoe Box at $ 455.00 A night its was disappointing. I was Embarrassed That my date had such a small Space...Terrible Hotel.
Great location block away from subway station.
Staff was super helpful and polite!
I liked everything of this hotel, even morning coffee is delicious!! Staff very friendly and helpful I will definitely recommend this place
Very clean, very quiet, nice room, nice facilities, staff is super helpful and professional I will definetely stay again!
Comforter was major stained and the floor was soaking wet. When I called to notify them they said they’d send someone up and never did. Nasty comforter was never changed out and floor just eventually dried. Terrible experience.
Departing from some reviews of the street facing rooms and construction in front of the building; noise isn’t as bad, it really goes on the guest if you are easily woken up by any type of noise, construction is still going on, but again, if you are planning on staying all day in your room then it’s a different story. Based on our experience, room was clean, room serviced daily, staff was very accommodating and helpful at check-in. Conveniently located, easy access to public transportation and local restaurants.
Comfy
It was a short stay but the staff were really nice and attentive. Definitely going to make another reservation in the near future.
Very nice check in staff. Nice room. Comfortable bed.
Great
Parking is scarce but not impossible. The rooms are very small. The staff was very pleasant.
This place was great! It’s conveniently close to subway stations and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating—they held our bags after checkout so we could explore the city some more before our flight. The breakfast options were convenient and decently priced. The room was clean and I especially liked the Dry Bar shampoo/conditioner/body wash. My one critique would be the shower as it was just the floor and no barrier to hold the water in so it kind of got everywhere. We built a barrier with towels that seemed to work but was rather odd that the water would just gather and slowly find its way down the drain. It wasn’t anything so deterring to not stay here again. I would absolutely stay here the next time I’m in town!
Best hotel I ever been
Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Only downside is that there is construction on the entrance and it is very noisy and busy.
Amazing location, great view and very clean! Highly recommended
I got to the hotel very early. It was too early to check in but I said I wanted a quiet room. When I returned I was told that my room was not quiet but there were no other rooms available. There was construction noise going on at 8pm. I talked to the front desk who told me it was over. It clearly was not and I told him that I could see people doing work. He said it would end immediately. It did not. If you are on a low floor facing the street it is insanely loud here. I would not recommend it.
What I like the most was the staff, friendly, accommodating, professional. The room was clean, the bed was good, the patio was relaxing.
Perfect location and room for the price. Highly recommend.
Not the best hotel, very normal nothing too crazy. Just average
large rooms, great views, close to Manhattan
This was an excellent hotel and the room was larger than I had expected, especially in comparison to other hotels in NYC ( notably in Manhattan). The roof top terrace had excellent views. The hotel was near a subway. There were also a variety of restaurants ( mostly Asian) nearby. It was also easy to get delivery of convenience store items and food.
The hotel was spacious and clean!
Clean, good location and good price!
Very nice and clean room. Unfortunately, there was construction across the street so the view outside the window was not good.
Amazing hotel and the crew is the best
Greta stay
The staff made my stay so comfortable. Cant wait to visit this hotel again.
Description says Manhattan view, it is not true. Requested to speak with the manager twice, no one ever responded front desk. Staff was rude. Hotel was under construction no signage to say so always on the entry level or dark torn up and not very comfortable. Hotel is not represented well the pictures Do not show the true hotel the view from the balcony is terrible, Not worth paying for you only see garbage
Work trip
Located in Long Island City in an area of new construction and developments. Noisy, carpets are old, ice is in the lobby not in the floors. Rooms are okay. Not many options for restaurants in the area.
Stay was ordinary. Paid for a city view room and balcony but instead got a courtyard view with construction underway. If the city view rooms are not available or they do not have one they should state that before renting them out under such terms.
Great area great staff great view of the city
beautiful
Nice room and amenities, view from rooftop a plus
Great!
So convenient from Penn Station and amazing food everywhere…Italian at Levante, breakfast pastries at fabulous Paris Baguette, noodles, dessert at The Spot. All walkable. So easy to Mets stadium. Felt very safe as single mom with teenage kid.
Clean, convenient location
Very well kept property and rooms are very clean. Excellent support from the front desk.
Close to mainstream
Comfortable and, with a DIY fix, quite peaceful
Little balcony for fresh air, but door didn't close as tight as it needed to seal so a little street noise made it in. "Fixed" by propping heavy suitcase against door - and other than that it was an excellent experience all around.
And
Close to subway. Dining options available. Clean, would stay again.
Great hotel, great location. It is very well priced for such a great location. Courtyard on the ground floor is a great spot to relax, and the rooftop is stunning.
Staff is great, bed and pillows fantastic, and amazing walk in shower. Nice lobby and bar. Near everything. Great views!
The bed and pillows are super comfortable, the walk in shower is fantastic! Staff is great, the location is great, lots of food choices in the area. Easy subway access to Manhattan, Astoria, and eastern Queens, and easy drive over 59th street bridge into Manhattan. I got a room with a view on the 15th floor and had an amazing sunset view of the new skyscrapers near Central Park. Lots of hotels in the area and I have tried a few and this stands out for quality!
It was underwhelming. Room was hot. Could not regulate temperature. I asked and paid additional for a room with a view and I got a view of empty office buildings.
Checked in for two nights while I was moving across the street into a luxury building thinking the rooms were going to be decent. I booked a Manhattan view and received a Cheeto smelling room facing construction. When I went down to kindly ask the gentlemen working overnight he said I did not book a Manhattan view I proceeded to show him I did in fact book a manahattan view then he responded with well they’re all the same that’s just the name while he shoved food in his mouth. He switched my room the same exact room. I then contacted Expedia and the hotel to cancel my second night since I would not be using it especially after this customer service, I was told I was ok to check out in the morning and they would contact the property for a refund. I checked out the next morning but was still charged for two nights a complete waste of money. Don’t stay here I don’t know how they have so many stars. Better of saving your money and going elsewhere in the neighborhood
Room was clean and comfortable.
Great location. Within blocks of many trains to the city & much rather be in LIC or Greenpoint with views of the city than in the city. No towels in my room when I arrived but staff super friendly & brought right away. Room very tight. Definitely ask for a room with a view because mine did not have one.
Great loved that place
Clean, well managed hotel near Manhattan.
The room was clean and efficient. Small, but well designed and big enough for comfort. The staff was very nice and responsive when my a/c didn’t work upon arrival. I felt safe there. The view from the rooftop is amazing! Would stay there again.
Great location, walking distance to many stores and restaurants
Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Well-maintained and check-in/check-out was seamless. I primarily booked for the location but was happy with my whole experience staying here.
Parking sucks
Parking sucks. Prepare to pay upwards of $60 per day
They had battery operated phones which set off “low battery” alarms ALL NIGHT LONG even after plugging them in. There were 2 phones in the room and after I got one to stop the other one started an hour later. Kept us up all night.
Close to the subway and very walkable
Wonderful staff friendly
In general the hotel needs remodeling, looks very used and give the impression of being dirty when it is not. One night there was a couple with a very heated argument in the room next to our and I have to call reception three times and last time I had to day I was going to call police myself.
The property is newer and clean. We also like that it's conveniently close to the train stations, grocery and casual restaurants.
It wasn’t bad, but isn’t my first choice.
Very nice place & great staff
Wonderful
If I have occasion to visit New York again I'm going to stay here. The building is fantastic and the rooms are spacious and quiet and the people who work there are wonderful and there's a great bar in the lobby, and it's conveniently located, and the view if you get a room with a view of the Manhattan skyline is extraordinary. Just a fantastic stay and I can't wait to go back.
Great lounge with entertainment and the popcorn drew us in. Reasonable prices on wine. The front desk staff are so friendly and kind. Took great care of us on a holiday weekend. The 4 minute walk from subway was essential due to husband’s mobility issues. Loved the beds and black out shades. Great sleeping. Only missed a microwave.
Staff was great especially the gentleman in the evening . He went above and beyond . I wish I would have got his name !
.
Very comfortable
The room was a bit small, but had everything we needed. Bed was so comfortable, shower was awesome and the stay was very enjoyable. We took advantage of the bar and enjoyed the nice lounge area. The free coffee was appreciated. There was lots of construction across the street, it only caused some disruption because of slow traffic for pick ups. Overall, we’d definitely stay again.
Towels and sheets weren’t as soft as I would like, but honestly great hotel overall
I love love the cleanliness of the property and the staff were very nice and provided me wifh a lot of information when asked. The hotel room was so clean and up to date. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Very nice and clean hotel. Very convenient walk to the train and you’re surrounded by so many good food spots. Would definitely book again.
Loved this room, expected the normal NY but no it exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the staff very friendly and the front desk person even gave us a mini tour 10 stars. If I could
Goog
Nice staff. But the bar needs to play diverse music, not just spanish music.
Just need more water needs to be placed in rooms
The staff was really good!
Really really happy we got to stay here. My boyfriend and I live close by. Our apartment was having plumbing issues. The staff both at the front desk and bar helped make our night a stress free one. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Definitely staying here again if needed and recommending when family comes into town!
It was a relaxed, and pleasant stay,
excelent location
The service and the room was outstanding as always. I also like this hotel due its location, can find many places for dinning.
Great
FANTASTIC HOTEL. The pricing, location and services are amazing. I booked through Expedia after researching hundreds of hotels to stay at in NYC. One of the best features this hotel has is the rooftop terrace that over looks Manhattan with the Queens Bridge, BEAUTIFUL views!!! The hotel staff was also very nice and accommodating. Would stay again 10/10
My only issue was the room that I booked with the balcony was COLD ! The door to the balcony wouldn’t fully close which let the air come into the room. We made it work as best as we could for us.
I celebrated my 40th birthday in NYCand stayed at this hotel. The experience was nothing short of AMAZING. It was clean! The staff were AMAZING especially Robert and Ke ke. Robert did a performace on karaoke night and he definitely killed it. There is no other hotel I'd rather stay at the next time i visit. We partied so hard i lost my voice. Robert definitely needs a raise or promotion.
24 hour rooftop access, pool table, public art shows and events, late night lounge and bar, amazing staff and support.
It was great, staff were very friendly and upbeat and very helpful and accomodating like Robert and Joel on our check in with out even asking, they upgraded me and my wife to a room with a view, and the two ladies that happen to have the same name, their names were Kiara, i hope i spell their names rightt and Jerome greet us with a lovely morning smile on our check out! the only thing i can say was not good was the parking situation, most of the garages we went to as full but luckily we were able to find a parking on a street, so i suggest to book a parking as well if you want to check in at Aloft
Great hotel. Slight wear and tear on some aspects but still one of the better hotels in the area. Staff was perfect.
Overall it’s a fair place. Close to subway and restaurants. But the view of our room is the construction. Also the snell of carpet is bad.
Great property. Just needs microwaves in the rooms
Great location. Clean, nice bar and snacks available.
Loved it and shout out to the bar tenders, the ladies were very accommodating and know how to make good drinks
Staff was a amazing, really helpful. Did like that they was no parking or that they had one microwave in the reception, would be great to have a smart tv in the room that can connect to your phone.
Rooms are nice
Unfortunately it was a roach in the room. I went downstairs to discuss it with front desk. He said he would send someone to my room and it never happened. I calles to discuss my credit card statement and the lady was rude and woyldnt help at all
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, the rooms isn’t what you see online and get, the walls is so thin I could hear everything that’s going on in the rooms next to me.
This was my second time staying here with my S/O, however the room was a little odd in minor situations. The mini fridge was under the bathroom sink and there wasn’t a microwave the room. Also, when you turn on the shower, there’s a weird odor almost sewage like which goes away but it happens every time you turn on the shower. This was in room 612. The heater wasn’t all that to rave about so y’all might wanna update or fix that. The pool table in the lobby was nice to use tho and the coffee maker was clutch in the room. Back to the room, the layout was kinda odd since the toilet and shower was in the same room, separate from the sink. The location was great since there’s 3 different train stations in the area.
