One slight problem the breakfast was a bit pathetic I’d expect an hotel of that standard to serve a full English breakfast it consisted of scrambled eggs beans bacon sausage fried potatoe Was bit cold as well, food holders where not hot enough They also had cereal fruit etc
Close to all the museums and shops
Nice hotel close to pubs, restaurants and shop
Great location
Great location x easy to use
Aloft Hotel Review
Hotel room door didn’t close properly so had to slam it and was also given a room In the basement and out the window you looked up you could see people walking pst looking down in the window.
Rude staff banging around so you leave the bar area rude security police on the door making me feel uncomfortable
As always a reliable stay at this hotel staff are always very helpful and responsive. I think as the hotel was busy and maybe fully booked on this occasion I didn’t quite get everything as indicated in the booking messages but I think this was due to Availability and the fact my booking had been some time ago. I am a returning customer and do choose to Stay here so will still try again here next time I’m in Liverpool. Thank you for another pleasant stay
Flash start, but still a winner.
But if an odd one. I called the hotel to book but when I mentioned our young child and we’d need a travel cot or put down bed they said they were full. However, on Hotels.com, rooms were still available (pre booked as a football weekend?) I booked and called the morning of the visit to check about a roll out bed - reception staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Same chap was on reception at check in. All the staff have been brilliant. Thank you! Also, it’s a great place for families. So central. Everywhere is a walk. An odd point, but the sound insulation at the hotel is amazing. Weddings, parties etc. Couldn’t hear a thing in our room!
Everything was great except that we could listen to people talking either on the hallway or next room
Leigh was absolutely brilliant and made me feel like a valued Bonvoy member, which really stood out to me. He made my check-in and check-out not only a breeze, but enjoyable. My room was spacious and comfortable, and once I closed the door I was not disturbed by any noises outside. I would not hesitate to recommend Aloft Liverpool and would stay here again the next time I visit.
In The Center of Everything.
Central hotel, ten minutes walk from Lime street station and two minutes from Moorfields station and right in the center of things, shops, restaurants and all the main attractions within walking distance. Nice hotel converted from an old building full of character, large comfortable room and friendly staff.
Experience was not good
The man at reception was lovely when we check in ,but there was a young girl there at the time we checked out,she didnt have the decency to say thankyou or goodbye if i would of known i would not of bothered ! We had to be moved from 412 as the room looked worse for wear ,it felt as if it was let out to stag or hen doo's toilet roll holder was broken ,scruffs all over paint works, damp patch on ceiling ,marks on wall paper, shower door missing,we complained and was moved the next day but we had to wait till 4pm to see what was available,so eventually we were put in a back room of hotel in 205 which wasn't much better ,dirty hand marks all over headboard ,paint peeling away in bathroom again scruffs on paint work ,didnt think this was worth £255 for 2 nights ,we think we should be compensated for the inconvenience that we experienced tothink this was rated a 4 star hotel and was part of the marriot group really a very bad experience to say the least !
My 3rd time staying here and the best so far. Wifi worked great and the shower had loads of pressure. The room was quite comfortable and clean.
Value for money
This property is in a great location for walking the city and seeing the sites. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel and rooms are old, the rooms are very spare, NO amenities to speak of, beds and pillows are dreadful. If all you care about is cheap, clean and convenient then this property will work for you. But if you need comfort and basics then this may not be the hotel for you.
Location! Easy access to Albert Dock, Liverpool 1…. Lots of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good lots of choices! Bar area is nice for a cocktail or after dinner drink…. Overall just a nice hotel.
Shower was coming off the ceiling soaking all belongings and at 1am had change room no complimentary thoughts just still Had to be out by 12pm
What an amazing building! If you stay here, be sure to walk around this hotel and check it out. We climbed the stairs to the top. The architecture is really cool!
Perfect base
Perfect base for visiting the city.
Excellent
Due to awful communication from both Expedia and the hotel (Aloft Liverpool) we were unable to stay at the hotel as we were informed we did not have a reservation under our name and then could not get in contact with the hotel for confirmation, as such we could not risk travelling without this. We haven’t been offered a refund and found the situation very disappointing.
MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL CRUISE.
The Hotel was of a high standard and the room was very nice, the bathroom and shower were very good, and the extra large king size bed was very comfortable.there was a small problem with items not available at breakfast but this was sorted amically by the manager.
watch the parking!!!
Good eception team who were accommodating when room safe failed to work. Overall I like this place. Parking however beware. They have an arrangement with a nearby NCP . I am still in dispute with Aloft as I paid for an exit ticket. - its functioning was poorly explained ( yopu need to input it in teh pay machine and then insert the ticket from NCP. this wa snot explained so I have paid twice - currenlty Alo=ft do not see a need to refund me -
we ordered this hotel in may and they sent us to the bsmnt. first two days was no light in the hallway cannot fixed because weekend. in the room poor phone service, breakfast terrible
Would be worth the stay at half the price.
Good service, room was £170 for the night and had a beanbag with white stains on it, a wobbly tap that wasn’t fixed properly and dirty shower floor tiles. But the bed was very clean and comfortable. Television didn’t work.
Lovely stay
The hotel was beautiful and the room was immmaculate, clean and very spacious. We were upgraded on arrival which was an unexpected bonus and all the staff were very friendly and professional. The ONLY negative was the breakfast was very dissapointing. The eggs were powdered or just very overcooked as well as the has downs were fried within an inch of their life. I think next time we will just book a room and skip the breakfast…
Good hotel, comfy bed, good gym but attitude with the lady on reception on check in!
Unfortunately apart from Sam the reception and restaurant staff were not very welcoming and very unfriendly.
Fabulous location, very comfortable beds, good value.
Fabulous location
We took our son as a birthday gift, the building is fantastic. Stunning. The rooms are ok. Looking a little tired. Service was ok. We asked for extra pillows Saturday morning, had to ask again Saturday evening as they hadn’t been left. There was no water in the room. Also had to ask for that. No shower gel. When you have dispensers in the shower for it. That aside. The location is brilliant for Liverpool city.
Poor understanding of our situation. Too unwell to travel the 5 hours for the 2 night stay. No negotiation whatsoever. Will not be booking again.
Fantastic hotel in a great location
The hotel is in a great location, modern rooms. I booked a twin room for my wife and daughter and they enjoyed their stay.
Lovely old building converted into a clean, contemporary hotel. Rooms were spacious and had the amenities you’d expect. Fill cooked and continental breakfast was served in the dining room, which retains lots of its original features but in a modern setting. Staff were helpful and polite. Convenient location to explore the waterfront, shopping and restaurants and bars. One downside is that there is no car park, although there are several within a short walk.
This is a fantastic hotel , the staff were all friendly & great at their job , the room was clean really comfortable & quiet I slept like a log. The breakfast was really good with plenty to chose from & the building is lovely with all the old architecture it makes it an interesting place to stay.
Loved it!
Was a fantastic hotel and specious rooms with comfy beds and great facilities. The floor grouting in the bathroom was in need of refurbishment but it wouldn’t put me off staying again. Reception staff and breakfast staff were really helpful and attentive
Very convenient to shopping, dining, and train station. Nice size room and bathroom.
Very central hotel, convenient in every way.
Excellent professional informative staff. Clean well located hotel
First time in Liverpool and Aloft made my stay really memorable! Location is really convenient and not far from the train station, staff were incredibly friendly upon arrival, facilities overall super clean. Would highly recommend if ever you’re in Liverpool!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Issue with one of the rooms which was very sub-standard is terms of cleanliness and condition. Mentioned this to staff who apologised and told me to mention it to Expedia to raise an official complaint.
Great Hotel
Great location, nice big room and comfy. Good breakfast with booking out at 12.
Perfect for travel to Liverpool
The Aloft Hotel is stunning and the building has a lot of history. The lobby is magnificent and the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The location is ideal to the heart of Liverpool and the Beatles history. Would highly recommend.
The hotel was in a pretty good location, quite close to the city center. We found the room to be very dark, and on multiple occasions we were woken up by noisy people in the hallway.
Ideal location in town. Easy walking distance to train stations and local amenities. Staff very approachable friendly and helpful Nice breakfast in lovely surroundings Only fault the room was a little dark
Great stay again
Lovely hotel and excellet value for Money staying on a Sunday and Monday evening. This is our go to hotel if we stay in Liverpool if the price is right. Slightly disappointed as we didn’t get the complimentary upgrade we were promised by email from the hotel, however all the rooms are nice and spacious. The little touches such as use of a fridge and a couple of bottles of water on arrival are nice too.
Overall pretty good place to stay. The wifi was spotty and a few issues with the water pressure. Apart from that it was very nice.
Dated hotel
Dated hotel, poor bar. Staff are friendly but there are better options for the price
Great hotel - bad room service food
Great stay loved the hotel - room service food was terrible!! Pizza was cold not cooked taste of tomato pure, couldn’t eat after a few beers… Breakfast was good as we were very hungry the next morning. Hotel is great though enjoyed our stay
Nowhere to hang towels. Loo roll holder falling off the wall. Insufficient lighting in the room. Only 5 hangers in wardrobe.
Night in Liverpool
Lovely hotel,great service
Nice and clean. Great location and staff very friendly
Really enjoyed our stay. Great room with high ceilings conveniently located next to all we needed to see.
Very clean and nice property, very spacious and nice room.
Tres bien
great room
Our room was very nice, however the bathroom door was off of the tracks and very difficult to close. In addition the shower door leaked. we mentioned these two things when we checked out and we were give a a breakfast for our inconvenience.
Lovely staff. Great room. Would stay again.
Location is excellent.
Excellent hotel
Great location-2 minute walk from train station.Lovely hotel, clean, fresh and friendl staff.Room was comfortable and spacious. We have stayed on Albert Dock in Staybridge Suites who are now very expensive. Will definitely be using the Aloft from now on
Great hotel, the architecture of the building is fantastic. The size of the room was great, plenty of room with a fridge. Super comfy king size bed and walk in shower . Position of hotel couldn’t have been any more central for us. Will definitely stay here again.
Convenient location. Average hotel and service, no frills, expensive for what you got
The Aloft was the perfect hotel for us with an excellent location. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful, expecially Alex on reception . She gave as lots of useful tips - how to get to Matthew Street (Beatles), Hop On bus departure, eatng places .... All this added to our city break. Liverpool is a beautiful city with friendly people. We look forward to returning in the near future. City is clean and people
The staff were very welcoming. The room clean and airy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, very powerful. The bar area looked nice but it felt a little soulless the night we were there. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Liverpool 1, the Albert Dock, museums and galleries are within easy walking distance. Concessions available via the hotel for the secure NCP car park nearby. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying in the near future.
Little bit misleading
The vibes here are definitely towards the hostel or misguided one night stand, but the branding and photos online suggest something nicer. Lots of stuff that’s forgivable in that context - shabby room, handprints on the headboard, thin walls. A couple of things that weren’t - last guests’ wet towels left on the floor, the bathroom door being so broken it wouldn’t close. Got a partial refund from friendly staff who seemed neither surprised nor bothered. I feel like the larger chain budget hotels are more predictable and cleaner than this. Overall it felt and looked cheap, but we stuck it out for a night before switching to somewhere nicer and survived.
Minimal
Pros-Good location, nice bar, rooms ok but have odd layout with no door on bathroom Cons, - Night porter refused to serve alcohol at 11.30pm even though we were told earlier it would be ok- disappointing for a city centre hotel on a Thursday ! For hotel of this quality the towels were poor & everything else soap, tea making etc seemed minimal as you would expect in a budget hotel
Beautiful hotel. Rooms spacious and well equipped. Bar and seating areas well appointed. My problem was TV, phone and coffee machine were not working. Member of staff came up but couldn’t help. No regular soap in bathroom. Washed hands with Shampoo!
A lot wrong with this hotel
Some of our party had to move rooms as the bathroom door didn’t shut, none of the rooms had shower gel in the bathroom all were empty. Tried to get a drink at the bar early evening was told there was no beer of any sort on tap, came back one evening and bar was closed told we could have a free bottle of water instead. Tried to order an omelette from the breakfast menu only to be told they were waiting for an egg delivery so no omelette available.
Great stay
Beautiful building tastefully renovated and very comfortable
Bed was a little uncomfortable but they gave us extra pillows which helped.
Ideal for sightseeing Lovely staff at the hotel
Front desk check in, questions, etc took forever, to the point where I just left, front desk staff did not adhere to the queue but help people who just "butt in" from the side. Off site parking was not clearly communicated on the hotels.com website, I would have chosen a different hotel. Same for the lack of bathtub.
Great stay !
Great location and reception staff friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable.Check out 12 midday was great. The shower wasn’t great and the corridor had an odd smell, but it was a Wonderful building with interesting history and we will come back.
Pillows not the best but the rest was great
Bad experience
Very bad experience with this hotel. First they mentioned that my booking didn’t come with breakfast which I did book. Next, there was no shampoo and conditioner in the containers upon check in. The tissue box was also not refilled. The room did not have basic water bottle and the room was dark. The shower only come with rain bath and no showerhead attached. Not recommended.
Nice hotel, great bar area. Room had 2 tiny windows that were about 8 ft in the air that you couldn't see out of. Other than that it was a nice hotel, friendly staff and in the centre
Trip
Very good check in up graded to a nice room good location
Lovely building with a nice bit of history. Well done as a hotel and clean. Room simple but all was included for a nights stay. Breakfast was very good. If one thing i could add maybe a few more pictures of the city would bring Liverpool into the hotel.
Very central for all the places of interest
Stayed for 2 nights with my daughter as a birthday surprise. Check in was quick & efficient & our room was ready early . Reception area was bright & welcoming . Lift to all floors was helpful . Communal areas all clean . Room was a good size , clean & comfortable . Only fault we found .... the toiletry bottles on the wall in shower were empty . Housekeeping did a quick turnaround . Breakfast was good , lots of choice & very fresh . Great location . Would definitely recommend.
I
Nice hotel, couldnt get wifi on in room, kept going in and out, room just like travel lodge style, ok like, clean n comfy
Lovely old building. Close to everything. Supremely comfortable bed in a great room. If you want to eat in I recommend the fish and chips.
Some good, some bad.
I stayed two nights for business purposes. Hotel is modern and bed is comfortable but a couple of things let it down. First night I went down to restaurant but was told there were two large coach trips in so I couldn’t eat there and ended up having to find somewhere else to eat. The TV in my room did not work, at least not to level where it was watchable. The signal was scrambled and a lot of channels were missing completely (BBC 1, ITV etc). My colleagues in other rooms also reported the same. The hairdryer overheated within about 60 seconds and wouldn’t turn back on for ten minutes, by which time it was too late. Breakfast is average. Appreciate these may be minor annoyances to many, but when travelling for work, you often just want to relax in your hotel of an evening.
Close to some sightseeing points
Hotel lovely, location dubious
Hotel is fine, location less so. Dead rats outside, perpetual smokers in the steps and public zombies on drink and likely drugs outside. Room was clean but both the sink and shower blocked. Towels worn out. Lovely staff!
lovely hotel
really nice hotel, rooms are really clean and beds are comfortable. would stay again.
Couple stay
Lovely hotel very comfortable and close to everything. Morning breakfast buffet was lovely
A nice hotel overall. Some shortcomings but won't be a deal breaker for most. Staff are not prompt with service, you ask for an item and it could take a while until they bring, maintenance in particular is lacking. I asked for a maintenance asststant many times and finally someone showed up and did not even fix the problem, promised to come back but never did.
LOVELY HOTEL
The Hotel was particularly nice as it was in an historic Insurance building. The room was excellent - clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate there on one evening and the food was very good.
Front desk very helpful. Room disappointing. Wallpaper loose on walls, trim needs painting, no luggage rack. Mold in ceiling of bath. Service staff not helpful.
Our room had a stain on the floor that looked like someone had been sick and it hadn’t been cleaned up properly. Plus stains on the hallway carpets all led to a feeling of uncleanliness. Bathroom and bed were clean, neat and tidy though.
excellent hotel in a great central location
Aloft Liverpool.
Nice
Clean and comfortable: care with road parking
All staff service good, but didn't have opportunity for evening meal or breakfast, so comment only covers some aspects of overall service. Slight inconvenience in no evident on-site parking. Street parking outside and street appears to be free on-road between 6:30pm-8am BUT the meter on the side of the hotel has no reference to exclusion times, whereas the meter across the road was specific... just be careful if you decide not to use one of the many local car parks.
Hotel was near great restaurants comfortable rooom and staff was very friendly snd helpful.
This was a lovely hotel. The room was lovely, just needs a bit of tlc Bed was super comfy Staff were amazing and friendly Ate in the hotel one evening, food was lovely We had a bit of a nightmare with the parking, but the nice sorted all was good. Would definitely stay here again.
Great accommodations and super friendly staff.
Cool building, nice bar area.
