Great service!$

Extremely loud all Night long. This is in the night club area so if your a light sleeper it will be hard to sleep. Everything else was wonderful the staff was nice and breakfast delivered daily was awesome so was the entire property.

Great location and beautiful space to stay in! We loved it so much. The daily delivery of breakfast items, each day the kids looked forward to the pastry bag drop off. The appartment is well appointed with comfortable linens and towels. We felt right at home. The decor was beautiful. The front desk was helpful and provided suggestions to places we can go with the kids. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent apartment in really nice neighborhood

We spent 7 nights in this wonderful hotel. It was absolutely perfect. The staff including the concierge and housekeepers were amazing. They left us items to make breakfast with the next day in the fridge. And brought us bread and pastries in the morning. There was a dishwasher, but the housekeepers took our used dishes away each day so we didn't need to use it. The laundry machine along with a dryer was useful. I will miss the excellent rainfall shower. The location was perfect; within walking distance to most everything we wanted to see. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we're in Lisbon. It was like being at home, but better.

I'm a bit late writing this review but still wanted to stay how very much we enjoyed our stay at Ex Libris. This was our second visit (last one in 2018), and it did not disappoint. The one bedroom apartment we had was great- overlooked the church across the road and had a view of one of the famous trollies come and go. The upgrade in breakfast foods- which included bread, yogurt, cold meats, jams, etc- was a lovely way to start the day before the endless walking about we did. One of the highlights of our stay though, was the way Pedro one of the front desk concierge went out of his way to give us really helpful tips from places we missed visiting the first time we were there to excellent restaurants to visit that were not touristy. He always had a moment to talk, and always had a smile. Thanks so very much Pedro! They even made sure that our belongings in the apartment were secure when we told them we would be gone for a three day side trip to Porto. Aside from from a weird event, that we strongly believe had nothing to do with Ex Libris, the entire stay was great! I strongly recommend staying there.

A very comfortable,well equipped and quiet apartment in a great location, close to metros and the 28 tram. The staff were all friendly and helpful with restaurant advice. Well organised and tasty breakfast supplied each morning. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for central and first class accommodation. Stephen

Excellent option for Lisbon! This apartment style hotel is just the right combination of service and independence. The space is thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. We traveled as a couple in a one bedroom, but had our kids been with us it would have still been a great option. They have bigger apartments too. Comfy beds, plenty of room to spread out, and modern bath and kitchen. The kitchen was stocked daily with excellent breakfast items—the fresh bread being a super cool perk! There’s even a washer/dryer! The staff was available but not intrusive. The location is excellent. Easy access to public transportation especially buses which stop a block away, and is on one of the sightseeing routes with stop 3 blocks away. The metro is a 5 minute walk, and the waterfront and another main transportation hub is a lovely 10 minute walk. If you know “the steps” behind the train station in Lisbon, those are just 2 blocks away meaning all the cafes and restaurants are also very convenient. We were there at holiday season so the area was lit up beautifully and we had a choice of three different neighborhood Christmas markets to peruse and enjoy. Airport Uber was less than 20 euro and we were delivered right to the front door. No alleys or stairs to access the property. It is on a hill, but we didn’t find that particularly challenging. When we return to Lisbon, we will stay here again!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms were very spacious. Had all amenities needed. Every day there was yogurt, cucumber, cheese, milk, eggs, meat and jams put in our refrigerator. Also every morning there were fresh breads left at our door. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks staff for the great stay!

Everything was perfect except our room got very noisy in the morning since the room was located next to the staff area. If you plan to sleep on sofa bed, you need to be either morning person or deep sleeper. But overall, it was great on every aspect. Breakfast, daily service etc. can’t complain

Absolutely charming in every possible way! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We received fresh bread, eggs, meat, cheese and produce each morning. Incredibly walkable to many of the places we wanted to visit with many food options, too!

So glad we stayed

From check in to check out everything was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights on the 3rd floor and enjoyed peace, calm, cleanliness and delightful surprises like daily cheese, meats, bread and other bakes. The apartment was very spacious, quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed (and more). Would not hesitate to book again (but maybe for longer next time!). Obrigada!

Just came home from an amazing stay here. We loved everything about it. Loved the service, fresh food and bread delivered daily was so nice to have, especially when travelling with our baby. Lots of thoughtful touches for our son, very family friendly. Windows we’re sound proof so it was very quiet in the evening. Hopefully we will be back to stay one day. Thanks again to all of your staff :)

What a great experience it was staying 5 nights at this wonderful aparthotel. My friend of over 50 years and I traveled to Lisbon for 5 nights and chose this property. Perfect service, comfortable beds, and delicious semi- prepared breakfasts. All of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend! * My only suggestion is to put shelving in the bathroom to hold toiletries. We ended up dragging an end table in there to accommodate this.

Great option if want apt vs hotel; could not have a more convenient location; close to everything and had a neighborhood feel. Apts very clean and well equipped and laid out.

Amazing stay

Amazing stay... First time ever writing a review for a Hotel but they deserve it. The value, location and communication with Hotel staff was top notch. You wake up every morning with fresh bread hanging on your door, maybe a pastry as well... They add in some cheese, and deli meats, yogurt some eggs in the fridge. It was very welcoming... They stay in contact with you the whole time on WhatsApp making sure your taken care of. Place was cleaned daily, and promptly :) The location is close to great restaurants, and bars. Not far from the river. Well done you guys!! And it didn't break the bank.. Lot of times you feel ripped off after a trip, I am happy i stayed here, was well worth my money spent, would absolutely go here again.

Great staff, location, and property.

The location and room was impeccable. Fully stocked kitchen with food and fresh baked bread delivered to your door daily. Kitchen was equipped w combo washer and dryer. Staff was very helpful for recommendations but wished it was staffed longer. Nearby do many restaurants and shops and close walk down hill to metro. Would def recommend.

Great stay!

This was an amazing apartment hotel and I’m so impressed by the great communication with Katarina. We are looking forward to staying here again at the next trip!

Loved our stay! The staff made sure to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a cake, candles, and wine. The fresh pastries, and the fridge stocked with lots of goodies also made it even more special. The apartment was so beautiful, had beautiful views of the Christ statue and the 25 de Abril bridge. We can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. We love the daily breakfast and fresh breads. Eduardo and Filipe were fantastic and provided recommendations as well as set up reservations and excursions during our stay. The location was great, the staff Eduardo was friendly and helpful, in fact all the staff at the property was excellent, room amd bed was comfortable, the fridge is filled with food everyday, fresh bread every morning and a bottle of wine is a nice touch. Even surprised my wife with a birthday cake. Definitely among the best and memorable stay for us.

Located in the Bairro Alto neighborhood in the historical district of Lisbon, this apartment complex is very well located. We were surprised with the thoughtful welcome gift and personalized thank you gift. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Lisbon.

Excellent property.

This apartment hotel is beautiful. We received wonderful service from the concierge. It was easy to communicate with them and they helped us book daily trips. They also made sure to make our honeymoon special and made sure we had everything we needed to make our trip easy. The kitchen is very well furnished with everything you may need. They cleaned the place everyday and refilled the food, drinks and snacks. Thank you to the whole hotel team for making our stay memorable :)

Excellent Location!

We loved our stay at the Almaria Ex Lib's Chiado! The apartment was perfect. It was in an excellent location. The apartment we chose, for 4 adults, had one bedroom which had one bed but then there were two beds in the living room/kitchen area. It was so nice that they stocked the fridge with fruit, cheese, and a couple of waters.

The apartment is bright, clean, and inviting! We highly recommend it. Within walking distance of great food, and local culture. Would gladly stay again when in the area.

Great location, very courteous service. Concierge helped with great day trips. Easy to block out noise with room features. We felt more like locals than tourists with the spacious apartment. Pastries each morning delivered from local bakery. We would absolutely stay here next time!

This was a lovely small, clean apartment in a great location. All amenities we needed, and the breakfast items were delicious-daily baked bread or treats an unexpected bonus. Joao (sp?) was excellent in helping with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

The property is located in a very nice area of Lisbon. It’s more of an apartment than a simple room. It has a refridgerator, oven, microwave and washer/dryer. The building is on a busy, noisy street , but inside the room was extremely quiet. We had no trouble sleeping. There were two air conditioning units for comfort. The apartment was cleaned everyday and breakfast was part of the deal too. Of the three different places we stayed at while in Portugal, this was the best.

What an extraordinary apartment. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets were silky, soft with comfortable pillows. Everything was so clean and taken care of every day. We loved how they brought us fresh bread every morning and restocked our refrigerator with the breakfast items… The neighborhood is fantastic! I would highly recommend this Place

Amazing all round

Excellent apartment close to such a variety of amenities and cultural attractions. Great night life and excellent for families.

This was the perfect place. The location was perfect. It’s walking distance to restaurants, one of the best places for pastel de nata, souvenir shops, clothing shops, etc. It smells nice when you enter the lobby and the staff is friendly and helpful. The kitchen has pots, pans, utensils, manual juicer, dishwasher, stove, microwave oven, full fridge, freezer, washer/dryer combo. The washer/dryer machine was all in one, not two separate machines. I used it once and it was weird. Took awhile to dry clothes. They offer a liter of water a day, yogurt, cheese, fruit, bread, pastel de nata, cucumber and tomatoes, meat, and eggs. There’s also cereal, milk, coffee, tea, jam, butter, oil, and salt and pepper. I felt well equipped for the week I was there. I would recommend.

We liked the convenient location to many restaurants and parks. The area is very hilly making walking on cobblestone a bit challenging for some.

Best home base for exploring Lisbon with all the comforts of home!

My husband loved our stay at this beautiful & comfortable apartment! We enjoyed and appreciated the diverse breakfast & fresh bread delivery every morning. Thank you to the staff, who cleaned our apartment everyday and the super friendly concierge/reception desk, who made checking in easy and recommended delicious restaurants that were walking distance from the apartment. I even got to speak with one of them in length during my checkout and learned more about their goals for their apartment guests. Great amenities - kitchen, washer/dryer, clean bathroom with supplies, and cozy bedroom/living room. I will definitely be staying at this apartment again for my future visits to Lisbon.

An excellent property located conveniently in the city center. The apartment is within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops in Chiado, and other attractions. The property is clean and spacious. Even though it is located on a main street, it is very quiet inside. The staff are very friendly and each morning freshly baked bread and pastel de nata were delivered to our door. Yogurts, fruits, eggs and cold cut meats were replenished daily.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. From the start communicating with staff, to our entire stay, to check out we were absolutely thrilled. The property is gorgeous and clean. Our apartment was spacious and well stocked. We had an amazing and HUGE breakfast delivered everyday including fresh baked bread and pastries. Such a treat! The location is within walking distance to so many cafes, restaurants, plazas, transportation. I would definitely stay here again and again!

We arrived a bit late after 6pm, but the woman named Joana was very kind and understanding and took the time to show us the property well upon arrival. She made sure we had everything we needed daily and was able to offer many suggestions. Spacious apartment style rooms. Very friendly staff and welcoming each day. Location was perfect with a small market couple doors down and near many restaurants and close to many overlooks and sights. Will be back for sure.

Perfect celebration for our parents 60th Birthday

We stayed for 4 days in Lisbon, these apartments are in the best location you’re close to all the public transport, the best bars and restaurants and the building itself is beautiful! We found the staff to be so helpful and went above and beyond to help us celebrate our parents 60th birthday. They arranged for their apartment to have balloons, bubbly and a homemade cake all waiting on our arrival. Even though these are self contained apartments each morning you were left with freshly baked goods hung on your door, milk, water, eggs, fruit and so on we did not need to buy anything. There is their own smaller version of a mini bar which consists of a hamper full of wine, sweets, biscuits ect which are very reasonably priced! This was the perfect trip, we will certainly be back! Thank you

Great for Families

Great stay, helpful staff with good recommendations. Breakfast provided every morning was a great way to start the day. Our son loved the small stuffed animal that came with the crib.

The apartment was lovely with everything we needed. We loved the breakfast placed in our apartment each day and enjoyed the fresh bread delivered each morning. The bed was very comfortable and we could not hear any outside noise. The location was perfect with so many dining options. Also it was easy to walk to many attractions in this area. The concierge was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to our friends and would definitely use this location again. Everything was perfect!

Pedro, Reuben and team were very informative, helpful and friendly throughout our 8 night stay. Breakfasts were varied and could be tailored to one’s liking. Excellenty stocked kitchen items for breakfast and cleaned meticulously. We would not hesitate to recommend at all, plus great location, ver walkable. Loved the hotel, and our superior one bedroom was quiet, located in the back of hotel, facing smaller alley. Thank you for a memorable stay!

I really can’t say enough because this property is wonderful in every way. The communication was wonderful. When we arrived we were greeted so graciously and the apartment already had their daily bread and else available which was so needed after a long flight. The wine bottle was a wonderful touch as well. The property is really lovely and close to everything and it really does a great introduction to Lisbon and one that will set the tone for the trip. I would come back to this property. It is beautiful, the attention to detail superb and the location cannot be beat!

Everything was as expected !

Best housekeeping services, staff was friendly and so helpful. Location was super convenient and easy to get to. Fresh pasteries and bread every morning. Easy check in and check out. Would highly recommend and it would be my first choice next time im in Lisbon.

Good place, and generally a good experience. Breakfast was excellent, with a selection of fresh bakery goods, charcuterie, cheeses and jams, fresh fruit....etc - a diverse selection which should please. The only disappointments were 1. the lack of wifi on the first day for which the hotel was very apologetic, and thereafter it worked fine, and 2. I request a taxi the night before our departure to take us to Santa Apolonia station (about 10 mins). The taxi was very late, and was in fact an unmarked car which charged a ripp off 30 euros for the experience. Car driver said to complain to the hotel as it is their arrangement. So it's not a taxi, and not an uber as the receptionist claimed either. Avoid the hotel offered transportation - a real taxi from the airport to the hotel is 15 euros max, and should have been about 7 euros to the train station - so beware.

The perfect place on the perfect location. Modern looking apartment in the middle of Barrio Alto. Housekeeping keeps our room clean everyday. They make sure our fridge has supply of cheese, cold cuts, fruits and bottled water. I can’t think of anywhere else to stay if I ever come back to Lisbon.

WONDERFUL hotel! My sister and I stayed in 3 hotels in 3 cities on this trip and this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment was PERFECT for us and by far our favorite hotel. the attention to detail in decor, the stocked fridge, the double balconies- and great location! GO to: “A Tasca do Chico” which is behind the hotel and downhill about 2 blocks for some of the best Fado singers every night in a teeny place. We went 2 nights in a row.

This apartment hotel is in a central location walkable to all major attractions in old town Lisbon. When you step out of the space, make a turn in the alleys, you'll find a lot of restaurants. The vibe is just wonderful. It is beautifully renovated from an old building (library?). I love the space and the decor. A lot of storage space. Every morning fresh bakery are delivered to our doorstep. Check-in process was very smooth. Highly recommend this place for staying in Lisbon.

We were a family of 4 and this was the perfect place for us. The apartment was in a ideal location and centrally located. The apartment had a full kitchen, bath, and washer/dryer. Check in/out staff was very accessible and pleasant. Apartment was turned over daily and they stocked our fridge with breakfast items and milk for the next morning. They provided fresh fruit and a bunch of oranges to easily make freshly squeezed orange juice with their provided juicer. We even had fresh bread of different varieties brought to our doorstep every morning. One of the best accommodations we’ve experienced for our family.

This is a wonderful place to stay! We can't recommend it more highly. Excellent location, you can easily walk to many different areas. Lots of dining options nearby and a lovely bakery. Apartment was decorated in a very unique and modern way, it was very clean and comfortable. It is in the heart of a busy area but just shut the windows and you can't hear any of it if you don't want to. The fresh baked goods delivered every morning for breakfast, along with ham, cheese, fruit was just brilliant. The host was great, we had issues at the airport so arrived much later than expected but were able to contact the hotel and sort out arrangements. It was probably the loveliest city accomodation we've ever had.

We loved the apartment! Especially the fresh bread in the morning. Perfect location and a beautiful placevto stay! Highly recommend.

Great service! Due to renovations we have moved to the sister hotel Almaria da Corte. This was perfectly arranged and the hotel was a few hundred meters away. Great location! We will definitely come back ;)

Great stay and hospitality

The apartment was clean and nice and quiet. The location was great. Lisbon is a beautiful city with wonderful weather, great food and wine, and friendly people. Carolina at the front desk was sweet and very helpful. We would totally stay here again!

Fresh bread and croissants every morning, oranges, excellent location. Full amenities including washer/dryer and dishwasher. Very close to all the main things in the city. Also very close to the metro. This was an excellent apartment/hotel. There is daily cleaning ,but not 24 receptionist. For us it did not matter because everything was self sufficient and we had no problems. Would stay there again, without even a second thought.

Cannot say enough good things

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment on the 4th floor of Almaria Ex Libris Chiado. It is impossible to say enough good things about this hotel! I was traveling for business, and brought along my toddler and parents. The hotel was beautifully decorated with every possible accommodation that would could think of - beautiful, big kitchen and bathrooms, quiet in the hotel, a perfect location within easy walking distance of major sites, an elevator, fresh bread delivered to your apartment door every morning, outstanding air conditioning and large windows - perfect! Everyone in the family was pleased and had what they needed... including space to spend time together and separately. While the accommodating were great, the staff really make the place shine. They kindly answered questions ahead of time over email. When we arrived a crib was nicely made up in the room and they gave my daughter a little teddy bear. This bear has become her favorite toy in the entire world. A few weeks later we lost the bear on another trip. I contacted the hotel to ask where they purchased it. They mailed us a new bear internationally, complete with a handwritten note including photos of teddy all around the hotel explaining why he had temporarily gone missing. My daughter and I were both ecstatic! I travel at least once a month, often more frequently. This is the most outstanding customer service that I have ever encountered.
