Location was amazing! The staff were fantastic close to everything. Highly recommended!
The room was perfect. It was spacious, very clean and perfectly comfortable. The management was so nice and attentive
Excellent séjour à Lisbonne
Je recommande à tous de séjourner à cet endroit. Service et accueil chaleureux, petit déjeuner à la porte le matin.
Great hotel well located to explore Lisbon. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast items were good. Apartment was a great size. Highly recommend.
This place was great. It's actually a furnished apartment. But it's nice because they give you fresh baked goods every day, on top of meats, cheeses and eggs. The area is busy around the building - right around the corner is a lively street that's equivalent to Bourbon Street in New Orleans - but the sound proofing is remarkable because I didn't hear noise from the street. Plus, there is A TON of restaurants to walk to. I'd easily stay again.
Pleasant
Really lovely apartment with everything you would need during your stay. Considering we stayed in August the building itself was really nice and quiet. You are on the verge of Bairro Alto here so the street gets very loud and busy especially from Thursday on to the weekend until the early hours of morning. I thought it was lovely that breakfast options were topped up everyday. There was a bit of a damp and sewage smell in the apartment. Points for improvement: - The shower screen needs to be longer as it barely covers enough. When showering water will find its way out. However I do want to point out that I noticed having shower screens in the first place is an improvement as I note from previous reviews that shower curtains were used previously. So it’s great that the showers have screens now but they do need to be longer. - Bathroom door seemed to swell from damp/humidity as it doesn’t close properly into frame. - Communication could be better from my experience. I stayed with my mum who arrived a day after me. I whatsapped the concierge team requesting bedding for the sofa bed and they promptly responded saying it wasn’t a problem and would go as far as opening the sofa bed for us which was great and all confirmed. After a long day we got back to find no bedding was left. I followed up on the message explaining this and asked again if they could sort it out the next day but got no response. So we had to make do with a thin sheet from the bed and towels for 2 days.
Felt like home!
A delightful hotel with all the perfect amenities. I absolutely loved my cozy little apartment that was stocked with delicious food daily. Location is perfect and despite super busy part of town, it is quiet and peaceful inside.
Perfectly located in the middle of the fun area of Barrio Alto. Despite that rooms are very quiet and you can get a great nights sleep! AC worked great during very hot summer days and cleanliness was top notch. We had a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend
Beautiful historical property that cares about the little details to may your stay as comfortable as possible. Joanna went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She is truly a gem!! I would definitely recommend staying here - 5 stars all the way!!
This was the most amazing surprise ever. At first it seemed like a very quiet, tiny place, but we were blown away at our cute little apartment int he heart of the city. Perfectly located, we had our very own one bedroom apartment with a huge living room with a balcony, full kitchenette, with a refrigerator stocked with breakfast for the next day, and the place even had a washer and dryer! They had the nicest staff ever, the place was a super clean, and on top of it all they delivered fresh baked pastries every morning! seriously, a 12 out of 10!!
This was my first visit to Lisbon and I travel quite a bit. I don’t like to stay in chain hotels, but rather boutique hotels. I was at first a bit apprehensive when I entered the very small entrance, but was then relieved by the welcome and then the beauty of the accommodations themselves. The room looked exactly as it did on the Expedia website. I loved the delivery of fresh bread every morning as well as fresh fruit And wonderful coffee.
Amazing stay. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. The bread bag was amazing every morning☺️
Excellent !
Excellent
Excellent stay!!!
Very comfortable, perfect location, safe, neat, clean and beautiful apartment. Communication from staff was very prompt. Met our request for GF bread be available in room…..only minor issue we had was the noise of tram passing by other than that it was excellent stay.
Marvellous
Great location the tram 28 passes right in front of the building. Plenty of bars restaurants nearby. Apartment is a decent size and breakfast was fine. Different rolls/pastries every morning.
Very good location. Well organised. Fresh bread daily kitchenette well equipped. Food provided in the fridge for breakfast Would stay again
A superb Hotel experience! The room was large, and had all the amenities we could ask for. The Morning, breads, fruits and cheeses were exceptional. Mostly, the location was not to be beat. We hope to come again.
Eduardo, Claudia, and Joana were very nice and friendly and made us feel welcomed. Always excellent communication between the hotel and me. Daily fresh baked bread delivered every morning and outstanding house keeping service were a bonus.
The stay was great. A highlight for sure was the fresh pastries and bread delivered straight from the neighborhood bakery to our door each day at 8am. Its a great way to start the day and get to try local pastries (pastel de nata included). Staff was super atentive and were super helpful. I traveled with my wife and 3 month old baby, they provided a cot, baby bath and great communication with cleaning staff to get in while we were out so it was never inconvenient. Would recommend this apartment without hesitation. Its also ideally located with quick acess to old town, shops and great restaurants nearby.
Amazing place to stay
Just a charming place. The staff were all equally amazing. The size was great. Really can’t fault it. The daily food - awesome.
Absolutely wonderful. Almaria reached out to us a week in advance asking for arrival time, any food allergies, bedsize preferences based on the # of people in our room, and any questions we may have regarding transportation and tours. Almaria reservations even let us know that transportation on our first day of our stay could be impacted by the World Youth Fair taking place in Lisbon. We arrived early 2 hours before check in time and was warmly welcomed by Eduardo who took time to show us to our room explaining where everything was and how it worked. The room was beautiful. It was clean, well maintained, and decorated with an airy feel. The fridge was stocked with food and each morning a variety fresh bread was delivered to our room. The room had everything you would need. This is a great hotel in a great location, with an excellent staff. We were able to walk to everything...restaurants, and waterfront. We would definitely stay here again.
Great stay!
This place really does deserve its ‘exceptional’ rating. Superbly placed, beautifully appointed with friendly staff this characterful but modern apartment in the heart of the city is a fantastic place to stay.
Location was great! Very unique building and renovated nicely. Staff is so friendly! They even got my a gluten free cake for my birthday :)
Great
I highly recommend staying here. It was truly a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience!!!
This adorable hotel is in the ideal location in Lisbon. We loved the room and all the wonderful fresh bread and wine we received each day.
Joana was very courteous and helpful. The service was fantastic and the hotel was clean. Our family (2 kids) enjoyed the comfortable and spacious flat. The fresh bread every morning was wonderful…Thankyou!
This is a great central spot really close to all the tourist attractions. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast provided was really good - the bread warm and delicious every morning. The only little thing that was a minor annoyance was the weird steps to the loft which could be a hazard in the dark. Also the kitchen is not really well stocked to make your own meals. But overall we loved our stay here.
The VIP Benefits wasn’t offered to us they charged us 80euros each night for the 3rd person
The concierge was extremely helpful and very friendly. Excellent location. Comfortable refuge after the busyness of tourist Lisbon. Could use more surface space to open suitcases
In one word ... Incredible! Starting with the communication before our stay, asking about our preferences, dietary restrictions, and wish list for our visit. Upon arrival, a warm greeting with a personal handwritten itinerary and walk thru of the apartment, to include stocking the fridge with plant based milks and yogurts for my husband. Throughout our stay the entire staff was so incredibly helpful it made you feel as if you were the only guests they had. And finally, on our last day, sending us off with another handwritten thank you and a personalized tile to remind us of our time in Lisboa. I highly recommend taking advantage of the knowledgable staff and concierge services to assist with planning your experience. Our private tours to Sintra and Fatima, arranged through I Go Portugal were incredible and the owners, Sonya and Pedro, were a wealth of knowledge and a joy to spend the day with. Also recommend private transfer services - to/from the airport, which can be arranged through the Almaria's concierge. The Almaria was like a home away from home, with all the comforts you look for but with the added benefit of a staff that makes the whole experience "out of this world!" Obrigada!!!!
This place is amazing! Location is very close to all the main landmarks of Lisbon. They were excellent hosts, they noticed it was my birthday and brought me a cake and wine to celebrate. Then for December 31 they brought us Champagne and raising. Housekeeping was great, the apartment was always at its best. It is highly recommended, I couldn't think of a best place to stay.
Great location, huge family sized apartment, attention to details like complimentary wine and breakfast.
It's a very nice, clean property with lots of facilities but.... The first day we arrived, we were told we could leave our bags and come back after 4PM. We were given a business card with a code to open the hotel door and a 24/Hrs Phone Number for assistance. When we came back nobody was at the Reception, the code to open the Hotel door we were not told is the same as to open the Apt door and that our bags are in the apt. Second day we had a bathroom flood, we used all the towels to stop the water going into the apt. Plummer came as well and we got a pack of clean towels. In the evening the pack of towels disappears, we were left with no face towels and no coffee for the next morning. I got up and called 1/2 Hr to get two face towels and coffee for the free breakfast. Half an hour and nobody answered three phone numbers we had, including the emergency one. I got frustrated, our plane was departing at 12 Noon, hardly anybody answered and we got 2 face towels and coffee. It's a very nice clean place with everything you need, including a laundry machine but something is missing in the way the place is run, lacking management and coordination. How can you not have a 24 Hr phone service when you only have 8 Hrs. Receptionist available?
Very friendly/helpful staff, lovely apartment and amazing location would definitely return
We spent a week with our two kids at the Almaria Official Real and cannot recommend it enough. The service was phenomenal, from pre-arrival to booking a car service which could carry all our luggage; daily fresh bread, rolls, croissants, cereal and yogurt, fruit was fully stocked every day making it a joy to return to every evening. The location is perfection. Right in the heart of Baixa-Chiado, easy walk to the central train station, the shopping district, all the restaurants in Barrio Alto and our favorite part- the sunset and gelato at Miraduro. We had such a great time and loved our stay. Cannot recommend this enough.
Joao was helpful and friendly with great dinner recommendations
The property is perfectly located in the heart of Lisbon. The apartment is lovely and the staff very helpful and nice. We had the breakfast available in our fridge, fresh bread at our door every morning, and everything we needed was available during our stay. I would definitely recommend it to others and would book myself again.
Property is great. Fantastic location. We had a problem checking in. We were given the wrong code to get into the apartment as we arrived quite late. Luckily, there was a very nice person next door who made some calls for us.
good stay at central location
Good stay, The location is very central, but can be a bit noisy at night. The employees are very helpful and kind, we even got a goodbye card with cookies before we left. The apartment is nicely decorated and includes a bedroom, living room, kitchen ,bathroom and a balcony facing the street. Some small issue with the apartment: the door of the bathroom cannot be closed , another issue is the lighting in the bedroom which cannot be dimmed
Modern, well kept. Great location. People said it was noisy but it wasn’t the case for us. Easy check in and check out. Great service. Breakfast every day. We will come back.
Spacious with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Easy to walk to attractions and short distance to tram stops and Baixa metro. A lot of traffic noise but we expected that and wooden shutters shut most of it out at night. Lots of good restaurants within a short walk. Fridge was kept topped up with milk, butter and jam plus rolls and croissants delivered fresh every morning. Super king size bed was very comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay.
Location was wonderful except noisy at night and had to close windows
Apartment
Very nice apartment, newly refurbished. Excellent service and kind staff.
this is the place you want
Amazing place, very easy, Fantastic on every level. I want to lie about it to keep it my secret, but they deserve better.
Sunny and lovely!
We find the place very cozy, clean, and well equipped. It's also close to many good local restaurants. The street noise on Friday and Saturday night could be a concern but only if you have someone sleeping in the living room.
Fully equipped apartment in a great location!
This serviced apartment met all of our needs. It was equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine/ dryer, coffee machine and hand juicer which came in very handy for the oranges supplied by the maids on a daily basis. The apartment location is perfect for the Cais de Sodré train and ferry station, Rossio train station for the Sintra train line, the Chiado shopping centre, the Time Out market and many other delights! The main entrance is positioned on a busy main road which tram 28 runs along. When we had the apartment windows and French doors open, it was very noisy which we did not mind but you need to close everything at night or else you will not sleep as the Portuguese do not seem to sleep at night! There is air conditioning in the living and bedroom. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. We arrived outside of the opening hours however, access was effortless. Codes to enter the building and apartment were provided on the day of arrival, along with the Wi-Fi code. Just make a note to use the keypad below the apartment number entry system panel at the main door. There is an additional service which is delightful and I don't want to ruin it for anyone but it tops off the stay here! We really enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to recommend it!
Nice apartment, everything was good except that the place can get really noisy at night because it is near restaurants and bars, so drunk people will make lots of noise at night.
